ki to leave and henrikson will be his replacement, FACT,

Believable14 Unbelievable9

That is what is expected. £6m plus add ons for Ki. Hopefully a centre half in with the change too.

Just seen the boy Molina scored twice for Betis. Is there still interest in him or has that one pasted now? Looked decent though. Any info would be good.

Daz the Hoopy

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I've been saying it. Saying it for a year. He's absolute quality and exactly what we need.

Danjam

Agree0 Disagree0

Good scoring record, big and strong and proven quality. Pity there is no sell on potential but if the price was right then cool

have heard that we will be getting an unamed German on trial this week can't believe we ignore German market lots of really good players who could do a right good job for us

Believable8 Unbelievable4

PL would never sanction a deal for a player with no name, too much money to be made from the names on the back of replica strips

Mikey Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not normal comment on anythig like this i just like to see whats going on but thay comment Mikey bhoy litreally made me laugh out load:)) well played sir!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe they will put "UNNAMED PLAYER" on the shirts and make a fortune selling 13 letters at a time.

Agree0 Disagree0

His name is abu-bakarr kargbo, been interested for a while

Ki will not sign for Swansea for £5m. QPR still seem interested with an £8m offer linking up Ki and Park Ji-Sung. On the other hand, Arsenal seem to still be interested and the chance to link up Park Chu-Young and Ki is something that they are looking to explore. However, I believe Ki will be on his way to Mark Hughes' team.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Would u sign for QPR after their performance on Saturday?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be a bit disappointed if we let him go for 5 considering people have been saying 8 or 9. If he is signing to replace Allen who went for 15 million then surely he is worth more than 5.

Morning Bhoys, Girls and Ed

with Song gone now, If Arsenal are going to bid for one of our players to replace him do you have any idea who it might be Ed, To begin with it was strong interest in Big Vic and there was talk of a bid being put forward but now Arsenal seem more interested in Ki?

Flynny {Ed007's Note - Arsenal are still very keen on Wanyama but now that Nuri Sahin (the player that injured McGeouch has been made available for loan Arsenal might look to him and save having to pay a transfer fee this summer. Arsenal, Liverpool and Napoli are all very interested in Sahin but it looks like he will/has rejected Liverpool. Arsenal feel that they could have Sahin this summer for only a loan fee and Wanyama will still be an option for them next summer plus he would have another season to develop and get some more European experience under his belt. I don't know how serious their interest in Ki is, he caught a few teams eye during the Olympics but I don't think Arsenal followed up their initial interest. Again though that could have changed with Song leaving.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Spot on Ed. I think you might have been right about Wanyama all along. My cousin down south is convinced that he will be at Arsenal when he does leave.Keep up the good work it's a great site. HH

{Ed007's Note - Cheers.}

ED where is all this 5m for Ki coming
from?

Is he moving in to the last 12/18 months of
his contract?

JGD {Ed007's Note - His contract expires in June 2014 JGD, contracts can't end in January. That's why players that are transferred in January sign 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 year deals. I don't know where the £5 million figure came from as it was well publicised in Asia that QPR had agreed a £7m fee. QPR's Asian owners would see it as a coup and a chance for some good publicity to sign Ki so the reports in Asia probably have came from their side of things.}

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Reports breaking in Asia must be his Korean agent surely?

why are people saying 5million for ki, come on guys, that is a joke, already refused kazan when put a bid of 6million, so after him having a very good olympics, his value is defo on the up, not down, be happy to sell for 7 million, and get ciani, russel and stevens from dundee utd, wee cheeky bid for zigic on loan, and id be a happy chap, c'mon hoops time to show your hand and get busy with transfers, after game yesterday needs few new faces

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Who told you kazan offered 6 mill ?do not believe anything you read.UNLESS YOUR HIS AGENT FFS TOO MUCH BULL IN SJOKELAND FITBA START USING THE BRAIN. jimthetim...reality in motion..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Russell and stevens would be good signings but maybe Russell is the option if we get put out cl? Think big mensah might be an option if we get in the cl

Brian

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO Zigic should never be courted by Celtic, really not what we need

JGD

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see it being 5mill cause then I think that would put a cap on buying spl players for years to come. With all thats going in spl if we sell ki given his talent and the hype around him right now for small amount the we could expect small bids in the future, so we must stand our ground and demand what we want.
What you think Ed? And if we were to sell him for 5 mill would I be right in thinking that we did that because of a big sell on? Cause I can see us selling small if it means big sell on cause once he is in epl ppl will notice and a bigger club could come in and we could get a good part of the epl money.

Agree0 Disagree0

First time poster fans demanding £8 mill plus for a guy nobody wants in the team when hes the only mf we have that can pass the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 15:26:50

if ki leaves for swansea it will be 5 million and 2 million if they stay up and there is a small chance dobbie will be coming the other way .if celtic get into cl there will be 2 big signings might even be in before the 2nd leg depending on the result in sweden. junior 29

Believable9 Unbelievable8

Why would we let Ki go to Swansea for 5m when they just sold Joe Allen ( same level of ability IMO ) for 15m+?

Just doesn't add up. Remember we are not in financial trouble and have no NEED to sell....lets be realistic!

JGD

Agree0 Disagree0

In regards to the comparisons in ability between Ki and Joe Allen. Can anyone tell me one attribute that Joe Allen has that Ki doesn't. Both great passers, both not particularly physical players, Ki is better at delivering corners and free kicks and is taller and stronger giving Ki better aerial ability, Ki has more international experience 47 caps 5 goals, Joe Allen 9 caps no goals. Domestically Ki has played 66 games scoring 9, Joe Allen 130 played 7 scored. If Joe Allen is worth 15 million then Ki is worth the same, but being realistic and taking into account Allen has proved himself (using the term "proved himself" loosely) at premiership standard then Ki Sung Yeung is worth 7 million PLUS. You could also factor into it that Ki now doesnt have to do national service, so our earlier valuation could be adjusted now by Peter Lawwell.

I can 100% guarantee you Celtic wont be selling Ki for 5 million. We are holding all the aces and wont be messed about by premiership or any other teams looking to pick up our players on the cheap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt joe allen come under homegrown though? That is the reason for inflated prices down south. Especially with the homegrown rule coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need to pull out all the stops to get Jonny Russell from united. I've seen him a fair few times and would rather have him and Mackay Stevens than spending a colossal amount on Jordan Rhodes. If we sell Ki then we should go after the two united boys and not offer a tiny amount for them and expect united to roll over. time to play fair and help Scottish football instead of destroying it like the Rangers are trying to do

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Russell would be a great signing, much better than stokes who blows hot and cold too often, russell has a bit of a swagger about him which i like, wouldnt cost that much too.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will end up signing him after first leg of the CL game. Always the same at this point end up just wanting any signings. Squad is good just needs a boost and injection of something new. Plus am worried about losing 2 or three starters and then struggling to replace them last minute. No matter what will be supporting the hoops new players or not and win lose or draw. Mon the hoops

Skooter

Agree1 Disagree0

Mackay stevens may need surgery could be out for 6wks. jonny russell a must though

Agree0 Disagree0

Ffs ****s russells good bt we are celtic there is at least 10thou better out there ffs get a grip........................jimthetim...

Agree0 Disagree0

This is 2012 we can watch every league in the world if we want how did j russell and mckay smith do in the euros............ffs get a grip if i had 6 or 7 mill the last place on earth id look for a player is in? guess.jimthetim......

Agree0 Disagree0

Russell is a cracking young players that not the Celtic way buy young players with great amounts of potential reap the quality of their play then sell on! Just because he plays for Dundee utd doesn't mean he's not a good young player! Shocking jim the tim.

Brian

Agree0 Disagree0

Jimthetim

We do not have 6-7 million. I think Russell would be great for us.
I would also love to see Rhodes partner Hooper.

Hoopey67

Agree0 Disagree0

Could not agree more. We are in the buying relatively cheap selling for a profit position now. Jonny Russell tho fills that category and more . Ive seen him a few times and honestly believe he could be a great player for Celtic and at a higher level

Agree0 Disagree0

Jimthetim. This is 2012 and as you can see Scottish football has changed a lot recently. I have argued with Celtic friends recently about players we should bring in. We won't be signing anyone over 2 million pound so need to look in players in that bracket. Russell and McKay-Stevens would improve our squad and are in our price range so why not buy them? Both have done it at Spl level and have bags of potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be great to get 2 more young Scottish players into the squad ,hope we pay a fair price for both givin Celtics shockin way/time they take to complete transfers.

I don't get why people believe everything they read. If we rejected a bid of 6m for ki from Rubin Kazan what makes people think we would now sell or 5m?

Junglebhoy33

Believable8 Unbelievable1

There is absolutely no chance wee will accept 5 million for Ki. It will be 7 miilion plus.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not always the bid amount that makes it get rejected .... Rubin kazan may have wanted to pay in instalments where Swansea may have offered 5m as a straight up payment...which is more favourable.
Agent4

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe there is a large sell on clause or EPL survival clause maybe a player coming to us is part of the contract. Ki will leave this window or he will leave on a free when his contract is up. I heard he is in his final year of his contract now but I dont know for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take that Leon britton if we could get him best pass accuracy of an English player in the premier league last year cracking player but suppose can only dream lol

Very impressed with Dundee utd
Russell would be a very good player for us...we create plenty
And I'm confident he would bury as many as hooperman..
Zigic on loan, ciani in cb...ki out to cover cost...

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Zigic is the only player I've ever seen that made Cascarino look mobile . He is rank rotten and wouldn't improve our squad

Agree1 Disagree0

I have said it before and will do again Zigic is NOT, repeat NOT what we need. Yes he is 6ft5in but that does not make him a good target man........like the unknowen man before me said.....not very mobile

Hi ed been a while since I last posted I live in Sweden and I warned about the dangers of signing mo and lustig sorry but just not quaility.Watched the game yesterday and was a little worried about the hunger we have. Helsinbörg were quite poor yesterday as well but I know from living here they are hungry and just as capable as our opponents yesterday so beware.I cant complain about our lack of activity in the transfer market as I only get to home 4 or 5 times a year to see the bhoys but it is a little worrying all teams need freshning up and a target man would be my choise quite happy to see kelvin back in defence hail hail swedish tim

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Wasn't Mo and Lustig 2 of the better players the swedish league has produced recently alsong with Bodoya? If this IS the case then we have noting to fear!!

Although I don't believe we have NOTHING to fear I do think we are a better team and SHOULD qualify for the group stages if we play to our potential

looks like swansea will sign ki but wouldnt be surprised not that songs gone if arsenal put in a cheeky bid need to buy rhodes with the money

Believable3 Unbelievable3

KI is easily worth £8.5m in anybody's league. Don't let him be a total steal to the EPL like Jelavic.

Agree0 Disagree0

£5m for Ki! What the he'll is that all about, should be getting at least £6.5m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't believe a word sly says, this is the same sjy who allowed david "blue nose" tanner to spew out, new company, same old club about sevco thistle, shameful. i can't wait until the liquidation is official !

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt say anything on sly spurts news about 5million, why add extra to sly spurts, to make yourself sound like know what talking bout lol... trust me know one knows what the price is until its made public....

Agree0 Disagree0

When is the liquidation being confirmed? I had forgot about it and was thinking the other day that it wouldnt suprise me if the succulent lamb crew swept it under the carpet and let it pass without printing it in the newspapers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would doubt if Arsenal would be interested after getting Nuri Sahin on loan from Real.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2012 03:03:32
I know we need a Target man and this person ain't that but becchio? Would be cheap.and has a goal in just over 2games chips in with 15 a season in the championship I think he'd do a job anyone else?

And do you think arsenal will use song money for ki?

Believable5 Unbelievable6

I think arsenal will now go for wanyama IMO.
Paddy

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal aren't interested in Ki.

Becchio is a class act though and would certainly do the business. I'd like to see Murphy or Russel brought in seeing as Rhodes is out of the question. How much their respective clubs would want for them remains to be seen. Hopefully less than Huddersfield would want for Rhodes.

What's clear is that Samaras certainly isn't a striker, but i think most of us knew that. At least Hooper will be back this week.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are 46 games in the Championship, so his record isn't glowing.

kev88

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently swansea are now ahead in the race to sign ki, the have funds from selling joe allen and see ki as his replacement. My fear is arsenal will now move for wanyama as he is a similar type of player to song. I am expecting a bid

Ed how much do you think it would take to sign Jordan Rhodes and do you think any of our players could be used in a a player plus cash offer and what about jean alan boumsong for the experienced centre back we need {Ed007's Note - At a guess I would say Huddersfield will want £4 million up front guaranteed plus add ons. Nobody has bid anywhere near that yet.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Unlikely to be any signings until the after the second leg of the Helsingborg tie is played, Champions League or Europa, which is very tight for the tranfer window. Can't see more than 1 quality player coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would much rather have russel. offer them £4million for both russel and GMS

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah if we can get russel and Mackay stevens for the same as rhodes then I'd have the two from united. Great wee players

Boumscare! No thanks.....
