Hearing daft rumours that juventus store plotting a move for Hooper in January.
Source-footballitalia newspaper, no quotes but just alot a crap tbh as he,s done well in the cl for us and bentdner is out for them.
On another note, I still believe we crave that big physical out n out goalscorer for us!
Who would you guys like for us to go for taking into account our transfer policys and budget, realistic please kos I have a few!
Iaquinta-nope
Dame Ndoye?-possibly
Someone on loan?
The one I really woulda like to have seen T parkhead is big marc janko, I love the guy man

If big vic and hooperman go . we would have something between 18 and 20 million , xmas present for me would be emenike from spartak . he is a fantastic player and would score for fun in scotland . what a dick between 18 and 20 , that will be 19 then .. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Plausable rumour and it may be the old RFC tactic. Buy the opposition or potential opposition good players. Does not matter if you can afford them, you cannot afford them playing against you

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have watched N'Doye in the past but he moved to Russia in the summer for money Celtic could not afford. Wouldn't complain about Iaquinta at all. Tbh i can't really see a striker coming in unless one leaves. As much as i'm a fan, i think Stokes is disposable and Celtic could cope without Miku if a replacement was brought in with, as you say, a more physical and aerially focused game.

Probably wishful thinking but if we were to get a decent transfer fee or the board were feeling a bit generous (wishful thinking as I said), I'd love us to go for Ricky van Wolfswinkel. He was awesome against us and he's improved into a top striker and with Sporting languishing in the league and out of Europe it could be a possibility.

Prob cost bout 10m, cant see the board payin out that much for a player

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt he would join celtic top teams across europe are wanting him and sporting lisbon would want between 15-20 million so dream on never ever going to happen

I'm sure we'll all be relieved when there is some actually clarity on the future of Victor Wanyama at Celtic Football Club. It would seem that his representatives want him to have a pay rise in his contract, but not to extend it beyond Summer 2014. Personally, I would extend his contract to Summer 2015 and give him a pay rise.

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Wanyama is on his way to man utd, the deal has been agreed that he will see out this season then move to old trafford

the mayan said that the world as we know it will end on 21/12/12. but they did not know that we use leap years, so over 5,000 years they were right . they're world ended on 14/2/12 . proof positive the mayans were currant buns . so don't believe a word they say. and if i'm wrong !! 2 days to go .. shammy {Ed007's Note - All the nonsense about the Mayan Calendar was actually down to something I am sure you will be familiar with Shammy:

I have been reading on here about a number of strikers who people think we should go for. For me personally i wouldn't mind us going for young boys of berne striker Bobadilla(spelling) he has done well in the europa league and looks a handful when i have seen him play however dont know how uch he would cost anyone any thoughts on this ed ?
Davie c {Ed007's Note - Young Boys of Berne bought Raul Bobadilla from Borussia Monchengladbach for 1.9 million Euros last January. There is interest in him from Turkey and Udinese in Italy, but the player is hoping to move to Inter. I think Inter is a step too far for him, personally I don't really rate him.}

Starting to lean towards opinion that we may lose at least one of Wanyama/Hooper. I think Gary really wants English football hence his reluctance to sign new deal. Victor's agents don't know how to advise him - whether to move in Jan or get more Champs League time and bigger deal later on. ViewparkMick

Both will stay until at least the summer. Just like every important player at any club, there price will be hugely inflated in Jan which will put other clubs off. Hopefully we can get 25m for the pair of them when they do leave and we MUST replace them with similar quality.

Celticthomas

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see either going in January, and unfortunately can't see either of them being here this time next year :-(

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't Accept Less Than 20million For The Pair As For Replacements I Think Hooper Can Be Replaced But Big Victor In My Opinion Can't Be Replaced As I Think He's A One Off With His Height Build Tackling Goal Scoring And All Round Play

Hooper will go in January if he does not sign a new contract now. The depreciation between having 18 months compared to 12 months on the contract is huge.

Anyone think Kenwyne Jones would be a good signing in January?

Samson

Believable14 Unbelievable20

Lazy player would not fit in at celtic park we needs playmaker a number10. That works

Agree2 Disagree0

I like the look of Lassad so i say lets give him a chance instead of going for another striker and go for a playmaker in instead. would like to see the young lad atajic get a run in the team along with watt towards the end of the season when the league is wrapped up

I have had my eye on this guy for a few years now, he`s big, strong and never gives up chasing. He turns bad passes and lost causes into something useful. He`s also good in the air, only neg is his scoring rate or lack of it seems to be down to not playing as often as he should. He did have a bad knee injury a year or so back, but I think he would be perfect for Celtic attack and this would be the ideal time to make an approach as he is not established first team regular and before his injury he was maybe out of our price range

No thanks to Jones.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way,even worse than Heskey!

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of people were not too keen on Chris Sutton because we knew what he did at Blackburn and wasn`t perfoming to the same level at Chelsea...... look how he turned out.
