I've heard xavi tonight as well that's probably more realistic than yaya £250k a week and shiwenstiger £275k a week currently xavi will be playing football for the love of the game.

Bhoys as I have said multiple times I have been told that we will have a marquee signing but only if qualify. No names given just that not coming for the money but for the prestige of playing for Celtic and to win trophies. Apparently person is bigger than any we have already signed. Some may think I am full is rubbish but can only pass on what I know sorry.

Guys, i think we are going to be way off the mark. To late now but i think we were on the right track aiming for Joe Allen as our "marquee". The only major name i could see would be SG. Yaya and the pig man would not drop £12m a year to come to us and their teams won't pay that as a loan deal. We couldn't even afford 20% of those salaries not to mention Yaya still retains interest from big clubs like Juventus. Sorry to burst the bubble but let's be realistic. Also don't credit Boroni rumor. He may be a bigger name but he's pish and BR and PL have shown us they intend to be careful on the cash front. So summary

Established ex-world class player out of contract like SG. Or a Joe Allen type level if quality that may cost us 10million but oerforming well.

Id be more than happy with signing another player like Sinclair or Dembele. Just because some players might cost more or are regarded as a 'marquee' signing doesn't mean they will come in and do a better job. It's about finding the right player for the right money and we seem to be doing ok so far this summer. I'm sure BR will have people in mind and people that will want to come play for our great club rather than come for the cash (which they won't get anyway) .

We've done well so far and maybe we will pull another out the bag but the players that are being mentioned are ridiculous and are getting past itvif not already there and on ridiculous money I think if we spend on a player he will be young enough to be here for a long time with the plus side of selling on for profit!

I have heard that we are going for a loan deal from Man city a big name player not getting a game but only if we qualified I hope not I would prefer for us to have our own player to develop and match time one is enough for loan IMO.
