In answer to the Daily Record's back page , i think we know the answer to that , it will always be Neil Lennon that the Rangers fans hate most , most of them are in denial that they owe tax , the Daily Record should bow their heads in shame , that article is at best inflamatory , we are supposed to be trying to root sectarian hatred out of our game , and one of our top selling newspapers is printing this nonsense , but why should we be surprised , Hugh Keevins has been trying to vindicate his paper on radio clyde , it is not called the Daily Ranger for nowt .

In what way is the article encouraging sectarianism?

Im a Rangers fan and i cant stand Neil Lennon it has nothing to do with Religion or Sectarianism. i cant stand his mannerism the way he spits constantly he is a hypocrite he talks about sectarianism and bigotry and all you need to do is search google and you will find videos of him spitting on a rangers scarf clearly see him call Fernando Ricksen a Orange Bast*rd and see him pi55ed out his head singing Rebel songs can you blame Rangers fans for despising the man. saying that i in no way condone the behaviour of the rangers fans who targeted him with letter bombs or the moron who attacked him at tynecastle.

i have friends who support Celtic and idolise the guy they say he is passionate about celtic i say you wont find anyone more passionate for celtic than tommy burns but he new how to behave in public {Ed007's Note - You say it is nothing to do with religion or sectarianism yet list the reasons you don't like NL is because he has acted in a sectarian manner? That doesn't make any sense mate. As for singing pi55ed out his head and singing, do any fans really want to go down that road? Players have fell into that trap for years on both sides. It used to get right on my wick the way Walter Smith said 'particularly' all the time, now he has came out and admitted singing sectarian songs when he was young, but I still respect him, and McCoist, just because they are/were associated with Rangers doesn't mean they aren't decent human beings and men, as they have shown on countless occasions. You hate NL for what he stands for, his background and the club he represents, what you have wrote shows that, but I bet you love Weiss because he is 'one of us'?}

Hi ed just block this a**ehole from writing on our pages and i believe myself as well as all other celtic supporters that its cause hes from northern ireland and crossed into the celtic family, if he played for them skanks he would probably be a hero for what he does.

I will try 2 respond 2 this in a dignified manner the other day ed007 you would not post my views on the european debate as I questioned your bottle 2 show my post, you said that I was an idiot & that I clearly did not read this page often that is correct. I never came on your page because I would rather talk about RANGERS but like our friend Timalloy I think he is misunderstood in my opinion he must have got bored being on his own site all the time so thought it would be good 2 wind up us BEARS. WATP 70 {Ed007's Note - Great post mate. I have no problem with kids liking players. As for Weiss though, really? He done absolutely nothing on the park for Rangers IMO and the fawning over him by grown men just because he sat in the stand with fans is bordering on the ridiculous. Some of the drooling over him during the transfer window was pathetic (on par with Keane I may add). Even when he came out and bad mouthed McCoist there were fans saying McCoist was out of order not trying to sign him because he was 'one of us'. Maybe McCoist realised Weiss wasn't as good as Weiss thinks he is? I have no problem with Rangers fans posting on here, it is when people 'dare me' or 'bet me' I just delete them, as it is very childish and if you look down the pages there are plenty of Rangers fans posts, so there is no need to 'dare me' to do anything.}

The reason it's called the daily ranger is because a paranoid group of fans call it this.
Also regarding the lennon v the tax man thing, the Record was stirring up trouble, but why should it all be about celtic ?. If you notice the picture was in a cut out form, clearly in the hope celtic fans cut out the picture of the tax man, and take to the game whilst attempting to stir up the Neil lennon thing again. Stop winding yourselves up over this and rise above it.

ED: I thought you were a bit out of order in your reply to the guy above, fair play you could have told him to keep his comments to himself if you disliked it, but you clearly twisted his words to make him look bad. I have been on a number of rumour forums and not seen any other ED behave this way, and to suggest the guy hates Neil lennon because of where he comes from is a disgrace, especially when you dont even know the guy.
Just for the record (no pun intended) I hate Neds, and Neil lennon is a Ned, if you cant handle that, then deal with it.

As the original poster of the article , i got the response i expected from the Rangers fans , Neil Lennon's only "crime" is that he is from the North of Ireland , catholic and played for Celtic , but his attempt to vindicate himself with his Novo v Fred West comparison just illuminates the extent of the hatred Rangers fans have for Celtic and people of Irish Catholic descent , irresponsible journalism doesn't help . {Ed007's Note - No, I twisted his words. Rather than see through his veiled attempts to justify his small mindedness.}

why not email the record and complain about irresponsible journalism and the likes of keith jackson?
you just have to keep it polite and tell them the reason why you are not buying their paper anymore.
it up to us to tell them well don't want to read this rubbish anymore. {Ed007's Note - They have been receiving e-mail complaints all day. As have the PCC. MP's and Stewart Regan have also made their feelings clear.}

Can someone tell me why Traynor is getting the grief? Should it not be Keith Jackson as it was his article. {Ed007's Note - He is the Chief Sports Editor.}

He's head of sport on that so called newpaper so ultimately responsible, spare me the comments he came out with, he knew the back page. I work in the newspaper industry. Everything that has been said today is just lip service, the damage has been done though the DR wont care as papers sold. Lets pray that NL can go to his place of employment tomorrow unscathed!On the eve of an old firm game cant believe I cant think about the football but only the well being of the manager!
