The thing about Rodallega Ed is that he doesn't seem a natural goalscorer in the slightest, he has 1 good game in every 4 or 5 and is grossly over rated due to the gutter press linking him to Spurs and Arsenal last summer. I'd say he is better than Stokes though lol. He also seems to think he's better than he is, apparently he's caused a bit of trouble at Wigan and I would stay well clear. Although I think he would be able to score a few in your league, due to the amount of poor teams in it but Hooper is a better player and if I was a Celtic fan I'd rather see someone who would love to play for Celtic sign, like Rhodes or Leitch-Smith, who would be on less than half his wages as well. Especially as you will walk the League next year anyway, might as well bring in someone with the potential to become a very good player instead of an average at best one. {Ed007's Note - I was thinking of him playing in a free role behind a main striker, I know he isn't an out and out goal scorer, so I was thinking more as a replacement for Commons (or Stokes) if they left.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Henrik wasn't a natural goalscorer, and was an outcast too at feyenoord, I'm not comparing obviously, but some players are just worth a punt. Bhrydo BHoy

'Berni & The Thai Tims', Chapter 1. First chance to read how the Thai Tims story began.

(Ed,you might need to adjust the address a bit if the http bit won't work.I'm sure you said something before about the http before an address.)

Read the link, not much I can say apart from, I take my hat of to the family, but take it from me a down syndrome person can give you great love, I had a cousin that had Downs and to this day I still think of things he done and the fun we had when I was a kid and that was over 40years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there anywhere I can read the full story? only small piece on the Good Child Foundation website. im addicted to the Thai Tims

sparkybhoy

Sparkybhoy....the link is sent on FB and they are planning on putting the links to other chapters there also. Not sure how often but people are commenting that they should release the story as a book also.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed,i think you should put a seperate Thai Tims section on the left so videos and stories could be read whenever anyone wants as they are loved by so many?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I will look into doing that JB. I had thought about it when I was sorting out the videos section.}

Hi ed. I've a question for u is all the away tops got the tri colour on the bottom of the sleeves?? Thinking about get one. Bigirishmac

Believable5 Unbelievable4

No Bigirishmac, I got the long sleeve away top today for fathers day and it's not got the tri colour on the bottom of the sleeves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah BIM you need to roll it up tho

tbh not saw alot of them out tho ....?

lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Tricolor is only on the short sleeved tops. 100 % sure

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right BIM,short sleeve only.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

The tricolor reversible. I bought one and the tricolor is a rubber material, so if you expose the try color from underneath the sleeve you get a tight fit around the arm. This is a really nice top. I get a lot of compliments on, and I live in Canada. Great buy

Agree0 Disagree0

I Ordered it from the online store 3 weeks ago ( non spnsered version) I called up to find out why i had not recieved it yet and they told me it won't be released untill september. This was the official Celtic store.

Agree0 Disagree0

I noticed that BIM n it seems that not all them do!
Cb

Agree0 Disagree0

Online is nothing to do with the club now.Kitbag are owned by Nike and when they started making our tops they bought the mail order rights. They done the same with other Nike wearing teams too. When you buy online, the money goes to them, not the club. When you buy in the shops then 100% of profits stay with the club and are reinvested.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster , don't understand that, i bought one in the celtic shop in stirling last week , they only had large or extra large but yes £50 the genuine article. the rubberised tricolour is brilliant you can wear it with or without showing the tricolour. it is a cracking shirt, ..bb

Celtic have been offered £7.5 m for ki , expect to hear more on the subject in the next 24 hours..AS

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

Hold out. Look for £8mil to £9mil. We are in the driving seat and we have. Couple of parties in for him. Think about image rights and se Asia marketing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I call him the myth, cant undersatnd what people see in him, park from Man utd is a player {Ed007's Note - Do you watch Man Utd? Park is one of the worst players in the squad, apart from his energy and work-rate he adds nothing to the team any more.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The image rights are a big thing and is why he will go for this kind of money. just think, the record is the Mcgeady one and they are offering like 2mill less for Ki thats crazy(crazy good though). i mean with Mcgeady and his talent at the time to Ki its a big difference but i think Ki is good and we should try and get a sell on clause or extra bonuses because of the image right.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one has seen the best of Ki. For whatever reason the Scottish game does not suit him. I am convinced if he goes to a more technical league he will shine. Look at the damage he did in the Europa competition against quality players. 8 million is not crazy money for a player that can only get better. He is only in his early 20's and as has been mentioned the Asian exposure can be worth a fortune to anyone who signs him. Remember that dud Arteta, he was pretty hopeless at times in the SPL. The old Rangers sold him for what? 2M to Everton, within a year we had quotes of 10M plus. I see Ki in this category. BTW I always thought Arteta was a player.Ki will be quoted in the 10- 15m category by the time he is 25. Sopot Celt

best signing was john parkes
a great scout who is proving his worth at the club and long may it continue.
Has an eye for talent, think we should get get a keeper like the polish no 2 keeper who has looked great.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

I would have to say Lennon as well because he is turning Celtic into what it use to be and he knows where we should be and will always fight for the name and history and views that is Celtic.. some great singings indeed and hopefully alot more gems to find and hopefully glory on the europe run in CL where we should be.

the guy that said bangura scores for fun in bounce games is that games with the under 16s.he wont get a game before stokes hooper and sami and the new striker we are going to sign.i would love it if he was any good but im afraid he isnt

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Ok no name and what are you baseing this on? Remember a certain Mr H.Larsson didnt do very good to start with.

Now before you start going off on one im not comparing him to the king of kings all im saying is give him a chance and if come christmas he still hasnt done anything then we can judge him then.

JGD

Agree0 Disagree0

We will lose him next January for the African Cup Of Nations so i would keep him until after then just incase he has a stormer and might generate more interest. If he comes back to us and he then starts doing well then it will be a bonus to us,either way we can't lose as i don't think we would get much more money for him now than we would next summer.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bangura has had many chances and done hee haw, not like young Watt who showed he knows how to score goals in the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was me who said it, look at big hartson, how many games before he scored his first for celtic? a dont remember the exact amount but it took him a while to get off and running mate. I reckon he will be decent if he gets a run in the side and stokes thinks he is a one man band sometimes (dont get me wrong i will take his goals every week)

Agree0 Disagree0

Right lets not forget who recommended bangura to us to start with. and how can you expect the boy to score if he only gets on 12-15 minutes at the end.. and yes i know hes had a few starts most memorably against hearts but the whole team was s***e that day.

Give the boy a chance and the goals will definately follow

If the powers that be want a 50/50 gate split , give them it, THEN Celtic could drop the price of admission to £20 per year for a season ticket with a contracted £300/£400, club merchandise tie in. Then we'll see how much the gate split makes the others. As we set our own price structure, this or something similar could not be prevented¬

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Very clever point.............green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Even easier u make it a membership scheme and charge everyone the price of season ticket to join club. every year like green fees u pay a penny for ur season book and the opposition split 60 grand over the whole season ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it wouldn't have a huge effect, if you take it as celtic selling roughly 5000 tickets for a home league game and the opposition selling 1000, 6000 tickets at 25 quid would be 150k a match, splitting it 50/50 would be 75k each, but it'll even itself out when we go to clubs like hearts who sell extra tickets to their fans when we come round, for the sake of improving the SPL im sure we could split 150k every other week, or make it simplier and reduce ticket prices in line with the German League

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell the parasites to get tae and be self sufficient. I pay my money to support the hoops and no-one else.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 50/50 split is a no goer, as clubs will only play celtic a max of 4 times (2 at home) and would have to split 16 home gates with every other club.
I hope everyone understands what im trying to say cause im struggling

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is a great idea.
How can we expect to compete at higher levels when we wont have the resources to at least have a go. The domino effect then kicks-in and we lose any co-efficient we had as the others wont make a go of anything. We cant join the EPL/EFA and now the leeches want to bleed us.

Story on the clubs notice boards that if SLY try and force the SFA
hands and allow force newCo in then the fansof all the other clubs will vote and not renew their SLY Sports Package (people power) thus SLY will not have any one watching and just like the old days listening on the Radio and god forbid people actually will go to the games.

If the rumours are true about Hugo Rodallega siging for Celtic will be signed as a striker? Because he can play in the midfield as well.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Other than play centre forward ive never seen him play anywhere other than left wing or right wing. never in midfield. Not even left mid. He is a striker and plays there for colombia. And forget last season, he was brilliant in his first season at wigan, was linked with moves to spurs and arsenal for 10 million. He would be a fantastic signing for us believe me, between the service he would be getting, chances he would get and the diddy defenders he would be playing against in the SPL he would run riot. I would be delighted if we got him but im affraid i just cant see it happening. All just rumours. Would love to be wrong though. Hail Hail

Im that confident he would be a success I would stick a hundred bangers on him scoring over 25 goals for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not another one who will run riot just because he played in the EPL. Lets just stick with the pairing we have in Stokes and Hooper unless we have real quality coming in and this guy just isn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

How is rodallega not quality? i would also stick 100 pound on him getting 20-25 goals for us cause quite simply he could do it. the man is definate quality and i dont think he will come to us realistically but would rather pay the wages for him than pay the wages and a hefty fee for rhodes

Kieran1967

Rodellagas wigan goals per season 3,10,9,2 if he wasnt a freebie would you buy him, also we already have a striker who cant score playing left mid,,,deep river bhoy

And so it begins.I think we all knew that as soon as the "legned" Walter put his head above the parapet, that the the Scottish press,in a high state of arousal no doubt, would gallop to his aid.Gordon Waddell in the sunday Snail seems to favour relegation to the first division,as a so called champion and supporter of a "diddy" team, why? He claims it would kick start a new voting structure and a fairer environment for every other club.He also claims it would persuade sly and espn to continue covering Scottish football. This he claims, would protect the central income of the clubs. On the relegation factor,What would happen to the team who has won, fairly and squarely, promotion to the first division? Dundee up,TRFC down, so the winners of the second division add a team to that league? Do they get a pay off to tun their back on promotion? This small matter seems to be missing from his blueprint. On the sly/espn deal, both have stated that they will be investing in the Scottish game, possibly with a smaller sum,but there will be money for clubs. To continually paint the picture of ALL money vanishing is lazy, sloppy reporting.Roddy Forsyth in the Telegraph takes a different tack.As should be the way with a non tabloid, the reporting is more fact based.Pointing out the facts,at the moment TRFC have no share in the SPL,They have a stadium and players(possibly) but no where to play.As Mr Green has still not lodged a letter of acceptance to the SPL to consider i would think that should be job one. Forsyth then has quotes from the TRFC chairman,Malcolm Murray. He claims" Allys vital,he has iconic status like Walter,he never wanted to leave, over the moon he is staying, our main objective was this".Then it gets interesting,"We are PRETTY confident the long term interests of TRFC will be looked after" So not certain then Malcolm? And on he goes " stage one is MCCOIST being more positive" Hmm,interesting that the pally Ally has been dropped."the vision is to have a debt free TRFC" That i would think does not apply to the 8.5m they owe already to the Green group? But the kicker for me is this, what i find astonishing, quote,"We have had GIANT punishments already,a Euro ban and a ten point penalty, the emotional trauma we have all suffered, for the Good of Scottish football we should be in the SPL". A couple of points here,All through Murrays blurb he refers to TRFC as "rangers",should somebody tell him that club is dead? The punishments you have received are standard in football for gross bad management, and yet again the lack of humility is staggering. Not a word about creditors. Some things change but the arrogance that emerges from Ibrokes is constant..............green jhedi

Believable13 Unbelievable4

Green Jhedi, good post as usual. Firstly team X or 12 do not understand that the 3 year euro ban is NOT a punishment, it is a mandatory rule. As for Sally, I hope he stays as manager he is a fud. Did you hear our Roddy Forsyth is a creditor also, poor Roddy lost his debenture, maybe a visit to a dentist is in order...
We all know that team X/12 will try all tricks and be ably supported by jabba, chicko, etc..but the good thing is supporters of ALL clubs now do not want tainted club X/12 anywhere near Scottish football. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Welcome back Green Jhedi, your points and views have been missed. Seriously though what were you playing at going on holiday when all this was due to play out. You need to get your priorities right mate LOL : )

ShuggyBhoy88

Agree0 Disagree0

Could not agree more.....with Shuggybhoy88....what you thinking of going on hols for greenjhedi.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good points. The only thing to point out is that the top team in Division 2 will still get promoted, as Club 12 and Dundee would have swapped places.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally astonishing!! You guys refer to TRFC 'newco' as being tainted and due punishment but that old Rangers is DEAD at the same time. The Euro Ban is, as GJ states, mandatory for ANY newco but, as things stand, there is NO mandatory criteria set by SPL for a newco. That's why it's now discretionary on the SPL clubs to come up with NEW CRITERIA for entry. Remember guys new criteria should not be clouded by fans' demands for punishments no matter the severity. We're either newco or not - you can't have it both ways.......Personally I have no problem with the history argument - if it's lost then so be it. Newco means exactly what it says.

Agree0 Disagree0

Love reading your stuff Green Jhedi.
Welcome back.

GoldCoastBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what you're on about GJ with the Dundee up TRFC down scenario you have painted? Why is this any different to Dundee up Dunfermline down? One up one down. Have i misread your post?
You then go on to slate Malcolm Murray's statement. How can he justifiably be confident at this stage? No Newco proposal has been forwarded or accepted yet. There is also the issue with the season tickets, and the WS consortium challenge. I would suggest any of the above would create some dubiety, not to mention the as yet unassigned sanctions.
The only other noteworthy bone of contention is your argument that Rangers are dead."The Rangers football club plc" is dead. "The Rangers Football club Ltd" is the new company still to be afforded the right to compete in Scottish football.Obviously the only difference is the three letters at the end. So he is entitled to reference "Rangers".
The fact that TRFC has not been registered or accepted as a member club yet, further devoids your mute point regarding "So not certain then Malcolm?"
P.O.B.

Agree0 Disagree0

@POB;Gotta take it on the chin regarding the "team up " scenario, bit jet lagged still i think.Once again you are dealing in semantics to muddy the water in your favour.Murray should surely be projecting a confident front to A; gain the confidence of the rangers support or B; get the best price for a sell off to walters group? With regards to your last line "not certain Malcolm" you will accept then that this could also mean the vanishing of rangers? Would you say that he exudes confidence? Should that not be what en executive in his position should be doing? I look forward to more of your semantic heavy responses to cloud the fact your argument is pretty weak. And by the way,a point is moot, not mute...........green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey GJ, hope you enjoyed the holiday. I have missed our jovial jousts over the past month or so. Unsurprisingly I am with P.O.B. regards most of it but to your great credit you always raise valid points requiring debate and give your own honest analysis and opinion on them. Your point about the 'one up one down' may still actually be in your favour though. The way I read it initially was if the newco gains access even to the First Division via relegation instead of having to re-apply to the 3rd then the second placed teams in both the 2nd and 3rd divisions would be missing out on moving up the leagues also and may justifiably be able to seek recompense? If that is indeed what you were initially getting at (I will accept desynchronosis as an excuse on this occasion, lol) then it is an extremely valid point I hadn't considered previously. Welcome back.

Brian (P)

Oh, and by the way, the Newco would have 'nowhere' to play, not 'no where'.
Sorry, couldn't help myself, you started it, lol! ;-)

Hi ed first tim posting think you do a cracking job. I just wanted to say Itotally agree with your thoughts on sly sports rumours as there are other cheaper ways if you cant make the game.also what do you think is a fair price for Ki if the talk is true 7.5/8mill? That kind of money could buy us Jordan Rhodes(if he's not signed for anyone yet).What would you think about a fit John Daly as a cheaper option. Keep up the good work HH {Ed007's Note - Thanks very much mate, and welcome to the site. I think a bid in excess of £7 million for Ki would be accepted. As for Daly, a few people think he could do a job for us but I am not convinced. I would rather see Bangura given a chance.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I have a to agree with ed, think bangura could be like a new signing next year. had a year to settle and get over hi injuries now so time to show what he can do. didnt see much of him last season but showed glimpses of a good player and heard he scored for fun in bounce games so i for one will be backing him next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Jon Daly again OMFG. I though that one had finally gone away. No offence mate cos we all want the same thing, bigger picture and all that but are you still mad wie it from last night. The guy isnt even of the right calibre to get in our development squad. One decent season. We have to be aiming higher. Your are however entitled to your opinion, i say that begrudgingly on this subject though lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep bangura for at least this season, maybe bring in daly as a sub. sell stokes and samaras and bring in Rhodes. Hooper and rhodes would score 60 goals between them in the league next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on bhoys john daly if thats the level, forget champions league, give tony watt 25 games instead. hailhail.

I know nothing's official and just rumours but think rodallega would be a great signing, big strong foward, would terrorise defenses up here! I know he could have scored more in England but that was with a Wigan side struggling from relegation, he will get a lot more chances and better service from us

Believable8 Unbelievable0

He would be a fantastic signing mate, anyone who doesnt see it hasnt got a clue. He would run riot up here. Brilliant in his first season at wigan, then Martinez stopped playing him up front (even though the previous season he set the record for highest goalscorer for Wigan in the premiership ever) and instead left or right side of a front 3 or on the left wing in a 4-4-2. Its obvious...he is a striker, so play him there and he will score goals. Just like he has done all through his career. 110 career goals and he is 26. UNFORTUNETLY i cant see us getting him. Hope i am proved wrong though

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want to see him here mate, and I know quite a few people who would say I do have a clue !

Hey Bhoys,

Just got home from a day out on the Tweed, watching my bhoy play in a round robin comp against the best under 7's on the coast. We had two teams represent our club and they did us proud, as they met in the final! My sons team came out on top coming from behind for a 2-1 win.

The point I'm making is it doesn't matter who you play, where you play or how much you get paid, if you love the game and you love your club, no circumstance or consequence will water it down.

Our league will continue, regardless of the negative neds down the river, because we love our football.

Well done son, the first of many!

PMSL at the old Rangers having 5 stars for league title wins, that is embarrassing to say the least, is that what that knob with the tattoo on Celtic sightings is for? Oh my. Even Rangers fans must surely agree its a bit tragic, you should only have a star if you have won the European Cup/Champions League, shouldn't have one for anything else.
JFT96

Believable9 Unbelievable4

It's just another example of the team formerly known as Rangers trying to out do Celtic. They've spent years trying to convince themselves that they are better than us and look where it's got them. Still, at least that's one thing they have achieved that we haven't, liquidation!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have won more officialy recognised trophies than any other professional team in the entire world. S F A say history transfers to newco .My many good celtic supporting friends [guys i would die for] get embarrassed when ref's get blamed for every game that rangers win. Most bears i know are as mortified as you are delighted at the daily revelations of the mismanagement of our club, its been a hard few months. Hate to bring religon into this but I detest the lowlife that drag my club down ,believe me most of us do. Mum is/was r.c.[religon was never mentioned in my house], nieces & nephews r.c. but support rfc/cfc 50/50. My next door neighbours oldest son[36] is r.c. but supports rfc or newco if you prefer. My job takes me into pepoles houses every day of the week and it would amaze you how many couples have season tickets for opposite ends of the city. Finally good luck in the CL qualifiers, Scotland needs you to do well. After we have taken our punishment and we get back playing each other again, please lets leave politics out of it. Also to suggest refs may have bias is only judging them by your own standards .If I was a ref I would want to show how good I was irrespective of who I was reffing. Personal pride. Its a thankless task believe you me, I've tried it.

Got it on very good source, that Simon Cox will have talks with Celtic, if they offer him a contract he will sign if it's acceptable.

I'am fed up with all this utter p*sh .look at the state everybody is in from the supporters ,clubs and the SFA . Nobody knows what the f*ck is goin on .

The point is ...... Glasgows shame rfc have caused this mess .There is no remorse on their part , if they were still able to get away with it I believe they would still be at it. They are under some sort of impression that it's a witch Hunt and everybody else is to blame .well enough is enough . They would gladly see everyone else suffer a whole country brought to a standstill , for what .....another cartoon star on their dirty shirt . In my book cheating is cheating , there is no grey area and they should swallow their medicine .Any form of a newco should be completely rejected and they should be out on their arses , no one else should have to take anymore .and no matter what happens or what league their playing in someone else somewhere will be suffering and that will be their legacy . They should be stripped of all their titles . For once there is a chance for the SFA to be just and to do the right thing .

To all my fellow celtic supporters and to supporters throughout the spl and SFL , we don't need them .....we don't want them .our time has come .YNWA.

More worrying that the sfa haven't been able to deal with it quickly as for stripping of all titles maybe yoo need to get a life if found guilty of cheating over the last ten or so years then I would agree strip of titles but not the whole lot

Nice one mate the shame are exactly that,I do not want there titles or cup wins transferred but I do want them stripped of them and certain individuals punished as they new what they were doing all along. CHEATING.
