Anyone know who a medical is booked for at Ross Hall next week?

Gordybhoy

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Who says its booked? Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

James mc fadden to sign nxt week
joe 1967

Agree0 Disagree0

My guess is (and that's all it is) that it's for James McFadden.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Mcfadden signs I will be raging the guy turned us down twice. Now no one of any great stature wants him. Really hope this is only rumours and nothing more! CraigyBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur saying mcfadden a wid chase him tell me another player who wid get 2or3 chances tae come before and no come and noo he's dine he wants tae sign hunt him a say?

Agree0 Disagree0

No mc fadden knocked us back twice

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't have him ANYWHERE near Celtic Park, but with Paddy going, I can understand the thinking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are the medicals not done at lennoxtown they have the facilities to do it there!

Agree0 Disagree0

Van dijk?

Agree2 Disagree0

My bet is for Dick

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we book a medical for a guy whose club have not accepted or declined our offer

Agree0 Disagree0

Fitness side done in lennox town
Medical side done in ross hall

Agree0 Disagree0

If its mcfadden atleast he will keep our medical staff in employment

Agree0 Disagree0

Marco1888

McFadden is a free agent mate. He only signed for Motherwell till the end of the season. That aside I would rather we signed anyone but McFadden, anyone!

He's done and is a f*nny who turned us down twice into the bargain.

I wish Celtic would stop being stingey and go and buy Mackay-Stevens instead of the cheap short term fixes were being linked with.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this site needs to be sent to cfc so they can see what the fans think of their signings! If he does come to celtic I will be very annoyed as the boy has had more chances than anyone else would get to join the famous hoops. I said weeks ago he was only interested because no1 else wants him, if a EPL or champoinship side came in for him he would snap their hand off so we should stay clear, I agree that we should splash the cash for a chance, fed up with penny pinching, if we sell hooper and big vic we BETTER spend some money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes turned us down twice and has done a great job for us.

Faddy has that big of magic about him like paddy but with goals.

If not too dear a decent signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Think your talking Colin Nish mate

Big Jason

Agree0 Disagree0

Penny pinching?shrewd dealings I would call them, the club is in a strong financial position look at the others who mishandle their cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's Darryl Murphy, we are thinking of buying him back

Reading some rumours that a 16m bid has been put on the table from an epl club for victor wanyama. My guess would be arsenal.
Jordi Bhoy

Believable15 Unbelievable16

When was le frenchman sacked? 16 mill from arsenal LOL. al geri.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where are you reading these? Good bit of business if its true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jordi

Where on earth did you hear or read that? Have you really lost control of your senses to believe that any club is going to pay £16m for a player from the SPL? Don't you think you're making yourself look just a teeny weeny bit silly with remarks like that?
There's nothing like a bit of entertainment with all the transfer banter but let's at least try to post comments that one or two readers might actually believe otherwise we'll all be saying we saw Messi and Ronaldo at Glasgow airport on their way to sign for us for a combined fee of £8. 63 (plus sell on clauses of course!).
Wanyama is a decent player, there is no doubt about that, but £16m?? Is it possible that your finger accidentally added a 1 when you were typing?lol

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope to get a sell on fee as well for once he goes to epl he will be sold for 40+mill in years to come.

THE bhoy is worth more than 15 million and if james macarthy is worth the 20 million that has been quoted then vic is worth 15 upwards

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt be to hasty chrisybhoy ansa good figures to me

Agree0 Disagree0

@ChrisBhoy why on earth can't we get that type of money for a player from the SPL? Ok I think the money offered to buy players today is daft but why can we not expect the same sort of transfers other clubs in lesser leagues get. For example Belgian league etc. Look at Shawn Maloney all of a sudden he is worth 9 million Stephen Fletcher 14 million. We should put a stop to our top players going on the cheap Big Vic should not go anywhere for less than 13 million minimum.

Agree1 Disagree0

Chris this is a rumours site is it not? Do I believe he will go for 16m no but let's also get real the guy is young and attracting interest from big clubs around Europe, was captain for his country 2weeks ago, played well in Europe this year against big teams. Maybe we should start demanding bigger money like the rest off Europe do. Also they guy has a 4year contract so why not hold off and let teams battle it out. Or just accept 8m like u probably would.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 million lol lucky if we get 12 get real
joe 1967

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Chris bhoy will have to apologise for this post strong rumour the bid is very close at least an 8 firgure sum and will blow Scottish transfer record out the water which a think is 9. 5 for mcgeady Kennybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think chrisbhoy showed a lack of respect, just because u didn't read it doesn't mean it couldn't be true. and why nt pay 16mil for a quality player from the SPL, that out performed most of the midfielders he came up against in CL! Why not 16m chrisbhoy? And again if wigan can ask for 20mil for a CM that will now be playing in championship, never tested at CL level I'm sure we can be asking for something close to 15mil! If he is as good as people think in the EPL 15m won't be bursting the bank for a guy that could move on for double that if he had a good spell in england. be good business all round.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCarthy has been consistent in the EPL for last couple years, Wanyama hasn't been consistent for that period in SPL, that could be considered the difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because one person says they want £20m for McCarthy doesn't means he's worth that. FACT, nobody will be willing to pay anywhere near £20m for McCarthy. He's not even worth half of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Chris!

Iain

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get 16m you can all line up and l will kiss your feet in shame lol

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

You guys do realise all this is being recorded in Eds supersecret log. Of course it is only done to keep us all safe. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan hutton moved to spurs for £9M FIVE YEARS AGO. are you telling me it's not possible to get 16 for big vic five years later.
and just to remind you hutton was sh1te, big vic can play a wee bit. shammy

Agree1 Disagree0

Shammy, that is exactly what I am saying. We will not get £16m for any of our players. I like Big Vic, he's a top player in the SPL and showed decent form in the Champions League for us, and if he were playing in a higher quality league then it may be possible to get a big fee like that. But like it or not, the SPL is way down the rankings on quality compared to others and that's why some players look good here but not so hot elsewhere. Do you want examples? David Goodwillie, Alan Hutton, Shaun Maloney, Scott McDonald, Carlos Cuellar, Kris Boyd etc. etc. etc. , there are many more.
You can say what you like about them as individuals but the truth is they all left the SPL with big hopes and expectations and they all flopped in many respects. You can also look at 2 players who came INTO the SPL and set it on fire with their "talent", Leigh Griffiths and Michael Higdon, yet they couldn't get a game for their Championship sides in England. The SPL hasn't become a good league just because we beat Barcelona and Spartak Moscow last season. There are a few guys who leave here and go onto better things but most of them don't and that's why EPL sides are reluctant to pay top money for a big fish who has been swimming in a small pond. If the SPL was a high enough standard to suggest the form of a player would be replicated elsewhere then we wouldn't be playing 3 qualifying rounds in the Champions League next season.

@sopotcelt; that's very reassuring. pea

Agree0 Disagree0

Even more reassuring is Eds supersecret log is being recorded in someone elses supersecret log without Eds permission. But that also is only done to to keep us all safe. So we can all relax and none need worry about promises made or feet to be kissed. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

£16 million will probably include the wage cost as well as the transfer fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Being realistic, it does seem Vic wants to leave which unfortunately drives his price down a bit. We can only hope for a bidding war which may bring a price close to his true value which as has been said must be close to 15m.

virgil van dijk? rumour?. al geri.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

I have heard about this rumour. He is a right sided centre back from Groningen and is 22. Would cost £1.8 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Posted a few months back about this lad. The story I got told at the time was that Groningen were looking at Rogne whilst we were looking at Van Dijk, however this did come from a stoned Celtic supporting mate talking to a basketball coach from Groningen on a Ferry from Amsterdam! :/ Not that a swap deal would happen now Rogne's got such little time on his contract. Couple of people seem to be re-surfacing the rumour though so you never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks a decent player. Hope we sign him up. And a experienced CB to help virgil van dijk, ambrose and willson into world class CB's. Gazdcelt

Agree0 Disagree0

If the interest from PSV and fc twente is real don't think we will get him would like to see him in the hoops next season but if one of the Dutch teams comes in I think he will go to them

apparently Hooper has already met with people from Reading FC.

Believable6 Unbelievable21

Question: Why would a player whose been playing in the champions league and doing alright, want to join an English championship club when there's probably four or five EPL & top foreign clubs who would take him?
I still think he'll end up at Norwich. After all their interest has been constant for sometime and despite everything I think most players actually respect that.

Agree1 Disagree0

Really, oh so that's not him on holiday just now? Oh and he really really wants to play in the championship again. Yes he may leave but it won't be for a lower league club when he's chasing an international call up!

Agree0 Disagree0

A player is hardly going to go from the championship to champions league and winning leagues back to a championship club who prob won't be back in the EPL for another few years. Hoops is going to leave this summer but it will be for an EPL side not a championship side.
