Get the facts right mate his agent offered his services to Celtic! Celtic never offered him anything! The man as been out of work for 2 years I can see him being a front runner!

That was meant to say can't see him being a front runner!

Probably right the first time, out of work for two years = cheap option = got celtic written all over it 😏

Should hopefully hear this week who the main candidates are other than MM. Has anyone else had an interview yet do yous know?

Not long back from an enjoyable game today all the team played well, and a lot of good young talent for new boss to work with.
Speaking of the new manager, heard from a mate who usually knows what is happening within the club, he gave me this rumour, and I stress it is only a rumour at this stage, but apparently the ex Watford manager Flores is to be interviewed next week, hope it is true as he would certainly get us playing attractive football on a more regular basisa.

Read some comments attributed to him through the week . Seems very strong minded . Sly and the English media report that the owners of Watford part company every season so as to keep growing / progressing? The comments attributed to him were " he had a meeting to discuss the season ahead . Him and the board couldn't be further apart in terms of the way forward and he didn't want/ couldn't be part of it! "
Not seen any of watfords games to judge him . But seems highly rated and thought of . Would be an interesting out the box type of appointment along the lines of abv . Seasons finally over but now is the exciting few days/ weeks for us hh #5 in a row πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€.

Thats who i would love to see brought in as manager.

If we appointed Flores it would show that the board are intent on progression rather than regression which we have done not just as a team but as a club in a whole. We need a proven management team to come in and sort all this out.

Ive been thinking since Flores was available that he would be a cracking appointment! Likes to play 442 but I'm happy any formation that wins!

Can Christie play up top? Anyway, not going to be too negative on presentation day but it really shows what an absolutely ridiculous signing Carlton Cole was.

Better of not signing him and giving the wages we paid him to the Petrov foundation (or something similar)

Enjoy the party bhoys HH.

Is there not any young forwards from the youth teams that are worth giving a chance at centre forward in what is after all ameaningless game.

Just another clueless team selection by rd, on a good note he's away and hopefully we get a new manager in and he has a massive clear out and brings players on that are fit to wear the famous hoops hail hail.

Calvin Miller should have played (if fit) or even the young striker who's on the bench, Kelleher should have played and Forrest can GTF.

Am I right in saying that if Aitchison gets on he would be the youngest player ever to play for Celtic?

No recognised striker but they are playing the 4-6-0 pretty well. Good tempo good movement and look sharp. Christie looks good and if Efe could play like that in every match he would be a great defender. Unfortunately his heads in the clouds most other matches. Looks like the players are playing with no fear and creative expression something they have lacked this year. Playing good skill full players in too disciplined a system can sometimes hamper the team. Similar to man Utd this year under LVH.

Just checked Aitkinson is indeed the youngest player ever to play for Celtic. Record was formerly held by Mark Fotheringham 16 years ago. Obviously youngest player ever to score for Celtic as well now. well done son.

Totally clueless will. i. am.

Delighted with today. It's good to be a tim again. Can't help but feeling a bit disappointed that the intensity levels demostrated today couldn't have been produced more often. Drop Griffiths? ;P.

Beat me to it Jim. A brilliant day out today and a great send off. Still feel this could be an opportunity missed.

Fingers crossed the new man is someone who can take this group and develop/ move them Forward.

Hail, hail.

We've won the league now so we should just forget how bad this seasons been! Rd has been here 2 years and still doesn't know his strongest team and his tactics are naive and basically the jobs to big for him, a great person but never will be celtic class but you've still got deluded people thinking he's done a good job or could have giving more time.

Will what is Celtic class? The mans put his heart into the entire club working with the kids working with individuals trying to create a better atmosphere and attitude within the club he's never went out and got himself into bother he's had 1 hand tied behind his back and had players trying to undermine him and it honestly made me sick seeing some of the players that had downed tools for him having the cheek to collect a medal Is that Celtic class? We will regret letting RD go.

Celtic class for me is someone that can get us playing good winning football as well as playing well in europe . rd was working with his hands tied behind his back cause he was not up to the job to start with cause no manager worth his salt would work under his restraints cause roy keane turned down the job because of them and he's hardly mourinho . rd lovers are kidding yourselfs on if you think we will regret letting him go, he'll never get a job bigger than ours.

Think its you kidding yourself on will you clearly don't want to give Rd any credit at all 4 the work he has done behind the scenes as well as the trophies he's won 4 us, and remember we did actually win 3 trophies in 2 years, the way some folk post you'd think we didn't win a single thing. As for your 'good winning football' does that mean attractive attacking football a la tommy burns? as we won many games in style just not enough or build a big team and run over teams a la Martin O'Neill? I hear critics of Rd going about the lack of attractive football, well Mon never gave us that nor Lennon or Strachan, mowbray tried n it didn't work out 4 him, whereas Rd has tried 2 get a philosophy started at the club but again these things take time and you Also need the right pieces at the right time (where would Mon have been without Henrik) . Rd has been given some good pieces, and he has been progressing the youth and bringing the club up to date, ed007 has pointed this out various times but people seem 2 belive what fits their agenda.
As for you 'playing well in europe' do you want to win in Europe, do you want to play attacking football and maybe win or lose, or would the manager then get it in the neck for not being defensive enough? Or do you want both winning and playing with style? in which case as you see with the so called big boys in engerlund they can't compete with the really top teams, teams who have a philosophy, a style of play, the right calibre of player being brought in as well as the backing of the support which I find confusing re booing I have heard at our games I thought we were faithful thru and thru and don't caree if we win lose or draw.
The majority of us are Celtic to the core but as I've said previously in a post we needv2 take a lesson from the Germans, the Dutch etc, take a step back and build our club up into hopefully one day being a big club again but these things take time and people have to be willing to have some short term pain, maybe not winning a treble say, for the long term gain of the club as if the club improves on various levels the you Also have a better all round experience 4 us fans as well as better structure 2 actually produce our own youth players instead of a handful in 20 odd years. I want Celtic 2 win every game, win every competition we are in and it doesn't and won't always happen, though we always believe, but I also want to see Celtic progress the club as a whole and not just think about the here and now, get a bit of perspective, you can give Mon, Strachan, Lennon or whoever all the plaudits you want but none of them tried 2 put in place a structure 2 build us and actually develop our youth and even all the so called big teams are pumping money into the youth as they know that has to be the future. Hail hail PS sorry for the long rants but when I'm on one I'm on one haha.
