If that's true he's going nowhere this month then!

What's to dislike about this? Clearly not a rumour it's a fact!

Just read that myself.
(all those extra swimming lessons for his wee mate down the pool has done him in)
He is going no where indeed. Adds another hilarious twist to the false tabloid 10m patter.
Might explain a few things. Used sparingly, off pace and looking uninterested? Playing through pain. I've not done much of it this season on here but I've moaned a bit about his displays. I'll humbly retract, my only resentment lays at the medical teams door if he was made to play till the point the the op was needed. He is our player and if he should of went under the knife in November it should of happened then.
Step up kouassi. Can't see that loan deal happening now.
That injury has cancelled out a signing and definetly the opportunity for top dollar for a departure.

Hi ed, just read an article that we could be looking to sign musonda permanently for a fee of around 4.5 million. Surely he would cost more than that, i was thinking a fee of around 10 million would be what Chelsea were looking for at least!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Musonda is not for sale as far as I or Ed002 knows.}

15 Jan 2018 23:12:57
Chelsea hold all the keys and I think that again will be up to Contie if he wants Masonda to be in first team he will send him out to an EPL team to see how he will do against the teams he could be up against next season? What do u think ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Chelsea want Musonda to get fit, stay fit and grow up, they see him as very immature and more than Conte will make the decision. We've got as much chance as any other team.}

15 Jan 2018 23:45:30
I take u mean match fit and sharp rather than him healthily from an injury?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Both.}

16 Jan 2018 00:00:52
If injured why would we want him we already have PR injury we are paying for don't want another loanie the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's just coming back from a knee injury and it's not his first.}

16 Jan 2018 00:16:06
Knee injury can be a tough to come back from they might want to keep him close by then when did he last play then cause it could take him a while to get up to speed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He played for Chelsea's development squad lsst Tuesday.}

16 Jan 2018 01:09:57
Rich T. The guy is lightning quick he will be up to speed in no time :) . Problem is he can't pass or shoot.

16 Jan 2018 01:21:43
To be fair I've got no doubt he could literally run the ball into the net beating 4 men in the process.
Might sky the odd tap lay off but.

You would think that if Celtic did get any encouragement from Chelsea that they would do what they can to get him it's slightly encouraging that Celtic have not walked away from their intrest they must be hearing stuff to keep them interested.

Well who knows in BR we trust and will hopefully Bring in what he's wants thanks ED for your insight once again. I hope we can look back on this window and become a stronger squad for it.

{Ed007's Note - I'm sure we will, Rich.}

ED007 have you heard any more on Musonda, last week he was supposed to be going to Bournemouth on loan.
But I heard today we are still actively pursuing him, what I heard was loan with possible first dibs at buying him in summer, similar to the Odsonne arrangement, fee I heard was £500k loan plus £4.5m in summer.
Any truth in these rumours?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - If Musonda is fit he will be going out on loan, Tim and we are still one of the interested clubs. I think it might be nearer the end of the window before anything's decided at the Chelsea end.}

16 Jan 2018 09:33:58
He signed a new 4 and a half year deal last month. Highly doubt a permanent move would be on the cards. I’d imagine they’ll be a lot of interest in Musonda from both England and Europe.

Hearing rumours our Physio/ club doctor is on a flight to Germany. Also heard us linked with Franco di Santo of Schalke. could the 2 be linked?

Find out next week on.

Another dead end window story.

Fecking hope it’s not di santo! He’s absolute mince.

With Erick leaving could this be the signs to come ED I don't see much more coming in unless a big player leaves I. e Armstrong what's your thoughts ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I have no doubts that there will be signings made before the window shuts.}

15 Jan 2018 22:48:42
Turns out physio is in Germany as Armstrong is having a hernia op over there.

Hopefully we get a few signings in before the end of the window, it would be great to improve the squad for Zenit, but looking to next season it'd be even better to have new players bedded in for CL qualifiers.
On the flip side getting Roberts and Rogic back to fitness will be like two new signings.

Was reading that we are interested in Jack Rodwell, on 70k a week which may hamper things, but I think this would be a fantastic signing. you heard anything ed?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed007's Note - No.}

Jack Rodwell hahaha brilliant.

Hi Ed just wondering how you fancied our chances of actually getting Musonda and Baker in even if it is on a short term loan initially? Think the pair could really give the team a lift, bring in a centre back and i would really fancy our chances of progressing in the Europa.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I have no way of working out the probability of signing the players but in the case of Musonda there are a couple of English sides very keen. Poiible.}

15 Jan 2018 09:56:44
Rumours of Musonda and Baker on loan, probably 6 month loans for 2 players who have barely played all season and Baker can't even get a game for Middlesbrough.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

15 Jan 2018 10:35:56
I wouldn't be put off by Baker having not gotten much of a game at Boro. I watched him in the Eredivisie and he looked a very talented young player. Same for Musonda from what I've seen however he looks like he lacks a bit of end product at this stage. If we've a chance to sign them properly, they come in and show they could improve us, I'm happy with that.

15 Jan 2018 12:47:27
Maybe we have a view to get them in permanently IF they do a job for us?

Again if this loan transfers are all we do, and are about, the penny pinching biscuit tin mentality from the 1990s will be back and I will be raising this at the next AGM. This isn't how I expect my money to be spent.
