Nice one NR. Could go either way his career that young and I forget the fee Ed007 mentioned over january but remember it was a bit steep. But at this stage it's pretty positive for him. I know there are a lot of talented 17 year olds playing for reserve sides etc but captaining a side against a league for the big boys is very impressive. Looks a bit clumsy technically probably due to his height actually but somehow manages to find his way to goal so good on him. He must have made an impression to make the squad. Brown and Bitton aside, and if Johansen plays across the three, Ajer and Henderson/ Allan as back up for CM, his physical/ aerial presence could well see him getting game time I reckon.

Rayman, he will play for Start until the preseason i think.
He is a very dedicated player, very smart and already played as captain a few times for Start. He says his favorite position is deeplying playmaker but he also plays attacking midfield and box2box.

I see him as a future captain for Norway, he has the right mindset and still a lot of potential.

Glad we got this deal done and I imagine it will be for a small fee. He definitely ticks plenty of boxes. I was going to post something similar Jimtim but didn't want to be disrespectful to the lad because I haven't watched him play a full game. i'm struggling slightly with the rave reviews because his youtube videos are a bit rough and eventually physical presence and age will become a lesser factor in how he is rated as a footballer (what a terrible thing to say about a young player, I know! ) . I think he may be a wee bit away from what many are expecting and he could need a few years but he does have time to develop. He is young and has plenty going for him and I am all for these type of signings and really hope he does well for us.

Ajer may not be the most beutiful player to behold, but he has a lot of passion and dedication, most I've ever seen in an 17 year old. And he is a working horse and bunch of raw talent. Think Celtic could get the best out of him, even without RD being there.
So i'm really exciting for this move but it could turn out both ways, like any other raw talent.

The fact he's only 17 means he could probably afford to bed in with the youths for the first 6 months or so without too much fanfare or expectation, just let him get used to the club and the rest of the boys without the burden of the "wonderkid" tag. Then once he's settled either bring him into the first team squad or find him a decent club to loan him to until he is ready.

Like Norwegianred says though rglen mate, although not technically great, it's the mental side - reading of the game, vision, leadership etc - that looks so promising.

Kevbhoy, what you say is all so important too. I don't see any reason why he can't be drip fed first team action now and again when appropriate.

Yeah JT, mental toughness is probably the most important thing for him right now. If he can adapt to a new country, culture and club well then the playing aspect will take care of itself with the right coaching.

Most important for him is to get half a season under his belt in Start and then move for the preseason. Think he has a mental toughness, that's why my hopes for him are so big.

I little context, from today's press conference: "I will [now return home to] take the driving licence and finish second grade at my high school, so I have many things to do back in Norway. "
