Hi Ed have you heard of any January interest in Pal Andre Helland of Rosenborg? Scored 22 goals in 2015

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - We've been scouting him for a while now mate, there's more chance of getting him in January than the summer simply because their season is over then, like Johansen at the time. His deal runs to December 31st 2018 so we'll need to pay a half decent fee for him.}

Good record and looks pretty direct. The one player I wanted from Norway was Mohammed Elyounoussi. Scores for fun, sets a few up too and has bags of tekkas. Be interesting to see if he tears us a new one or not for Molde.

Heard from a good source tonight that RD wants to return to Norway as he is homesick. John Collins offered his services as manager but the board said no.

When you say "don't shoot the messenger"!
Does that mean nobody has told you anything?
And if it doesn't happen? You can say "you were told from a good source and just passed it on"?
Just "for talking sake" I hope both are true!

By the the end of the weekend, if worst case happens things need to change!! IF things go well? Do we paper over cracks?
I'd be very surprised if the blind running the club haven't sounded out a new manager/coach already?
You and myself could coatch this team to the title!
The body language of certain players is a cause for concern. And that's when you know unfortunately!
"It'll aw come oot in the wash"

Theres rumours and there's lies. Clearly a lie. John Park must go

It's 100% true

that I was told this. Ed maybe the powers that be should change this website to Celticfacts.co.uk so we don't upset some people

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You've been here long enough now to know people will just ignore facts as well if they don't suit their point of view.
I was told last week that RD was looking at moving into a house big enough for his daughters to stay more often now they're older.
Just for clarification, you're saying JC went behind RDs back to the board and offered to be our manager whilst we've got a manager who is meant to trust JC as his assistant?
If that's true JC should have been sacked on the spot, who's ever going to trust him again?
Did he approach the board directly or was this done through a third party, perhaps someone who knows JC from their short time at Hibs together?}

15 Sep 2015 12:44:19
No Ed I'm not suggesting he would have went behind RD's back. I don't know the details. Perhaps there was a meeting with the management and board. I guess we'll find out in due course.

Could I ask why JC is portrayed as a villain a lot of the time? In my opinion he's one of the best players we've had in my time watching the hoops (I'm 31) but has he done something to merit the criticism he gets on here?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - What's he done since he stopped playing to warrant being appointed assistant manager to a man he'd never met? When it was announced I upset a few people on here when I said he was a terrible coach with little tactical knowledge and he couldn't be trusted - nothing I've seen's changed my opinion on any of that, it's strengthened it if anything.
If you watch during games it's mostly John Kennedy that RD talks to because JK's already a better coach with a better understanding of the modern game than JC, JK works hard and wants to learn whereas JC thinks he knows it all already.}

15 Sep 2015 13:57:47
I take your point Ed. I wasn't sure if he'd done something specifically. Obviously I wouldn't want him as manager because like you say he's done nothing of note since he stopped playing. Maybe he was brought in for the fitness side of things. I heard he's got a good six pack!

I agree with you Ed but I would like to add if john Kennedy is the one setting up our defence then he is not the man for the job I can't count on how many goals we have lost to set pieces this year alone a lot of that is down to the players themselves but the set up has to be questioned to big time. As JC if I was RD I would not trust him I have said that from the start you never see him out the dug out giving advice or getting them to fight to get back in to a game he just sits there. Why is he really there at all on match days?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm not a fan of zonal-marking either, it didn't work under NL and it isn't working (yet?) under RD, just give the player a man to mark and tell him to stick with him. As I said last night we're working with a whole new defence and I'm hoping Simunovic can bring a touch of steel and organisation into that area.}

15 Sep 2015 22:33:36
Has zonal marking ever worked for anybody,anywhere,anytime.

Good zonal marking works if everyone does their job . Aberdeen's 2nd goal on Saturday came about because someone was asleep and allowed the sheep free room 3 yards out . Gordon was stuck on his line and did absolutely nothing to stop the ball. If he had moved out to meet the ball , it would probably have hit him and anything could have happened .

If we are going to stop crosses from been converted to goals imo we need to stop the crosses coming in . Stop giving away free kicks , in dangerous areas and corners .
We thought we could exploit Malmo with our aerial power but in the second game we hardly got a free kick or corner to exploit the situation .

Ed, do you know anything about the rumours that 4 senior players are having a meeting with Lawwell at Celtic Park today?

Hearing Commons, Brown and Mulgrew are 3 of the 4 with possibly Stokes being the other but nothing confirmed.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - No.}
