To be honest

The fans who are paying hard earned money are being fleeced. Whilst understandable, the management company behind this competition SELL the big team names but don't bother to put in their literature that its second and third teams and no names

We missed a domestic competitive match for this? We complain that the CL comes around too early with too little match practice and lack of competitive match fitness and competitve edge. And then we boycott for fancy sounding tournament ( for money ) . The real money is next week and we were building up a head of steam and now we have a gap when we need the games

The crazy world of global football and branding.

This tournament won't last. Half empty stadiums and second teams

Horrible.

Armstrong looks very very very unfit.

I think it will last that's a full strength inter Milan team all our other games have been our strongest.

don't you think this friendly could be a blessing in disguise as it allows us to rest the first team ahead of the biggest game of our season. if we played the league game we could have had an injured or two to important players.

Decent performance fae the young lads so far. Unlucky to concede. Fasan looks a decent goalie Imo.

No Jon. Do t agree. We always complain about lack of games and the competition coming too early and so that doesn't wash IMVHO.

I agree Paradise - I think Armstrong, McGregor and Griffiths could be fitter, I think the manager will sort it though. Armstrong was terrible against Astana at home, he also gets taken off every game, I was a huge fan but I'm going off him quick. These guys should be training like men possessed because they will end up out the door, and it will be their fault. We need a top midfielder who is going to walk straight into the team.

I'm glad we have this non match before this important game on Wednesday, the Bhoys out there are thankful of the chance to impress BR and the fans are quite happy to pay to see their beloved Hoops even if they are 2nd and 3rd choice, they still wear the Hoops and it might be the only chance they get to see a game. Hail Hail.

Wooojooooo.

Efe is on

Ajer great touches
Henderson great touches

Christie doing okay

They are the highlights for me

Fasan worthy of a wee mention too.

And mccart has been quite measured and focused.

Paradisewon IMO this friendly is a waste of time unless we have our full strength team out. Who would you rather prepare against for a champions league qualifier inter Milan or partick thistle? Could have at least gave the team who's going to play on Wednesday 45 mins! But that's just my opinion.

13 Aug 2016 22:37:26
I am so delighted that Paradisewon, has finally made a positive contribution .
I can't believe too many Celtic fans would have been too disappointed with the fare served up tonight . Our weakened team played very well and pushed forward on attack at every occasion . A good night's entertainment without our current best players.

I'm just saying if we had played and say Sinclair, Dembele or Toure got injured we could have regretted it. the young boys had a chance to show what they have and BR will see who's not going to make it.

We are supposed to be making £7.7m. If that's true then we couldn't knock that back. If it was our friends across the city the press would be hail King Cons entrepreneurial spirit and how that money could be spent on Scottish players, with a wedge left for blind orphans.

I think we have actually benefited from this friendly. It has allowed more players gametime against top quality opposition. We get money from this tourney and we managed to rest players with an important game coming up. Also think the guys who played showed up well and a few shone. Not bad for a second string against a top european giant. All positive in my eyes. Hail Hail.

Plus. Stop being so targeted.

Your positivity Magic pole, is so pronounced you were condemning the club for fleecing the fans who were spending their hard earned money before a ball was kicked . I spent my hard earned money and was delighted with the game I saw . No half pace friendly with managers changing almost entire game at half time or later. m
Both teams committed to the tackle, quick passing and good running . Result unfair on our youngsters, first goal defence caught out quick corner ( has that happened before ) 2nd goal caught out on a quick break from defence and clever chip over Fasan We too had three or four chances and nearly 60% of procession against Inter's team.

I think the only way this game could have been beneficial is to have played the strongest team possible, in fact the team that will start the euro tie, another game would have given the players more time to gel, don't agree with this resting players before a big match, the more practice they get the better.

I sometimes think some contributors post contrary posts from everyone else in the form of a troll.
I cannot understand how any supporter would think it would be a good idea to show your hand to Inter and manager and risk injury by playing all the players expected to play on Wednesday . Doing so and getting injuries would give negative posters reason to condemn Brendan.

Agree0 Disagree8

14 Aug 2016 23:44:42
We was under the cosh with the team Inter fielded. Thought Ciftci Ajer Fasan Izzy and Christie done well and we was unlucky not to to score 2 or 3. Armstrong for me isn't good enough for Celtic his passing is loose he can't shoot and he always stumbles over the ball and isn't fit enough either. Johansen and Henderson lucky not to be sent off both would've been had it been a competitive game. Still could do with a decent box to box midfielder.

Can you out up my comment criticising the club for fleecing the fans? I think you might have to forge it.

I accept the need for these tournaments if we raise that kind of money. Don't know what you're on about.

Post it. Or retract your comment. I have no problem standing by what I post. If I post it.

Think playing the same team together as much as possible, once you have figured out what your best team is, is the only way to go, the constant changing of the team during Ronnies reign, was one of his biggest mistakes.

Awrite bhoys. Is this Jeff hendrick rumour true. If so would be a good signing. Not a bad player Imo. Would like to see a young goalie come in and challenge Gordon aswell.

Didn't really rate Hendricks until the euros - reckon it would cost 4/ 5 million for him - not sure he is worth that.

13 Aug 2016 12:04:56
Looks like he could do a job for us. def 4-5 mill i agree there mctavish. what u think about de vries?

13 Aug 2016 17:41:27
Why 4-5 million, they rejected 6 million already.

No better than what we have so let him play for Derby.

Also, glad we didn't sign Duffy from Blackburn - what a stinker of a start he has had.

Brady, I wouldn't mind but your talking double figures for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2016 17:49:33
How many of us fans seen hendrick before the euros? 3 games we seen him there an we are wanting to sign him up? No for me.

13 Aug 2016 18:16:25
Seen hendrick play quite a lot n he's a good player. Great passer. Agree with kev t would take double figures for Brady he's real quality.

Brady plays on the left wing/ wingback ss might have something to say.

Posted a few days ago about Tonny Vilhena and he has been looked at by Celtic. However the stories regarding Thomas Delaney are true and he could well be the box to box midfielder we need alongside Brown. Quite experienced already for a 24 year old. Played in the champions league already and captain of his club. Shrewd move in my opinion. HH. Hope dundee pound the manky mob later lol!

Would be top class if we could pull off Vilhena and Delaney.
You would think these two would only happen if we make the Champions League.

Also heard that these two are being seriously considered, maybe if we don't make the Champions League.

Darko Brasanac - FK Partizan
Wilfred Ndidi - KRC Genk.
