What Lennon said today is one of the reason why he is the perfect manager for us and once he got the job i knew things would change because he will/is fighting for Celtic and knows what the name and history means and he will make sure Celtic no matter in what way (be it media or tv) will tainted...Think he can be great as a manager and cant wait to see what he has for us in europe!

Believable31 Unbelievable6

Good post. I hope sales of the gutter rags fall rapidly from now on. Julie

Great stuff pal, Neil Lennon lives and breathes for Celtic. Hope we do the treble and put his name up there with Stein and O'Neill. Champions!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thnx...I feel playing under O'neil really helped him become a manager as he is the perfect manager to learn from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes NL is something else ,his passion for CFC and football is unquestionable and Tactically improving all the time .

Above was mentioned Stein and Oneill maybe WGS should be mentioned too?, I'd go as far to say ,thou not everyones favourite , if the other mob hadnt been cheating (give wally myth 35 mill)WGS would now be going for 7in a row . TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah because O'Neill also learnt from the best in Clough

What your thoughts on the boy Mackay-Steven. I think he would be a cracking signing for the Hoops. With Forrest on the right and him on the left, outstanding Scottish talent and balance to the team.

Believable22 Unbelievable7

Cracking prospect but would rather have Russell

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither are better than our current team. We want players who are better that what we've currently got.

Agree0 Disagree0

How much does he look like naismith,lol...he could be his son, every time i saw him today i was wondering if he is naismith lost child lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Both will only get better imo

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the above mentioned would lace big Sammies boots at the minute and that includes young Forrest who seems to have lost his way in recent games .

What was interesting yesterday was there is a provision to have Sam ,McCourt ,and Forrest on at the one time if need be .Brown and Ledley marshalling the middle and attacks coming from all over the park .

Interesting times ahead ,still a young team ,still not fully gelled !.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is no better than Niall McGinn IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Russel and MS are talented boys and I think they would do well to spend a few seasons at DU. I personally want some competition and competent displays from our opponents. Buying up all the available Scottish talent and thereby weakening our opponents is a Rangers trick and it can a double edged sword, effectively working against us as we wallow in mediocrity and we also run the risk of ignoring our own talented boys coming through. Sure we will weaken our opponents and strengthen CFC but competition not quality is what drives football. OF course I would like to see both in the SPL and those young DU guys seem to offer both to the SPL as DU players not CFC players.

Never thought id be saying this, but anybody think we should be trying to get big sammy on a longer contract?been really good this season.artybhoy

Believable19 Unbelievable8

Sorry Arty but I think we should be chasing him out the door just an opinion but .."...DH

Agree0 Disagree0

He only just signed an extension a few months back

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo, he has been immense, went through wars today, still popped up with a goal, does not disappear in games like he did do in the past, mr consistant!!

Agree0 Disagree0

The sami of last 3 months immense, Sami of last 3 years (apart from his solo destruction of the Govan Tax Dodgers) get rid.........Stevie

Agree0 Disagree0

Cash in while we can on him as he has proven over the long run to be to inconsistent. Think if we don't cash in on his current form we will regret it. Saying that he has changed my opinion of him with his form in recent months but we should be looking for better.

Skooter

Agree0 Disagree0

Sami is the man of the moment ,try replacing a player of his undoubted skill for any less than 5million.

Lennon knows what he's doing that's why he's manager and we're typing messages on a BB. TTTS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy has got to stay. anybody that wants him out just now is mental. he has the euros to go to in the summer. if he plays a blinder, then his value goes up. anybody, particularly mental russians, that come in with stupid offer, then we sell. Id keep him tho. as he has said before, he isnt a centre forward, he's a winger. play him on the wing, and he will be phenomenal

samson

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammi will more than likely be with us until summer 2014. CFC dont seem to rush contract negotiations so unless someone comes in with a big offer he will be with us until he is 29 then go on a free, or alternately he will be signed up next summer but not before on a contract extension. Sammi seems to like the club and NL likes him. I think there is a bit more trust at CFC than at many or most other clubs and as such I think things are relaxed regarding Sammi's position.

Well done Celtic for finally saying enough is enough at certain part of the gutter press ,it would be good if the fans ignored their phone ins and hard copies of their newspapers as a mark of support for the club,as I've always said hit them in the pocket.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has warned BBC Scotland the club will not co-operate with sections of the media for the rest of the season.

Lennon accused the Scottish press of deliberately attempting to draw Celtic into Rangers' financial crisis.

"There's a lot of muckraking going on between some hacks," said Lennon.

"There's going to be a lot of media outlets disappointed, because me and the players are not going to be speaking to you."

Celtic cancelled their pre-match media conference on Friday and Lennon said journalists and reporters should expect more of the same as the season enters its final phase.

"We decided not to do a press conference this week because of all the nonsense that's going on elsewhere," said Lennon ahead of Celtic's 4-0 Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Dundee United.

"So we decided we're not even going to bother with you this week and just get about our business quietly and we'll do our talking on the pitch."

Reigning champions Rangers have gone into administration while Celtic have overturned a 15-point deficit to lead the Scottish Premier League by 21 points.

Lennon said he was angry at reports suggesting Celtic were trying to benefit from their Glasgow neighbour's financial worries.

"It's in the hands of the legal team and I'm probably best not to say to much about that, but you know exactly what I'm talking about," he said.

"It doesn't bother me at all - we just said, right, we're not going to talk to anyone.

"We're going to get our heads down, not look at a newspaper. We want to talk about football and the achievements we're hoping to get over the line this year.

"We'll maintain that for the rest of the season, but I don't care, I'll do it through the club if I have to.

"We're nothing but professional and respectful to the media - and yet they do us no favours.

"They keep throwing things in our face and keep trying to make confrontations with people that aren't there.

"So, enough is enough - they've not done me any favours over the piece.

"I'm angry, but I'll deal with it in my own way."

I could tell NL had something on his mind when he was talking to the 'Sly' guys after the game and I sensed that if Neil McCann etc had stepped over the mark with any dodgy question or comment, they would have got their 'heid in their hawns tae play wi'
I have noticed a confidence and maturity in Lennon this season that has probably flourished through all the disgusting nonsense he has suffered in the past and the lessons he has learned the hard way in managing our great and unique club.
Not only off the park has he matured, but when the team has struggled or stuttered on the pitch he is now in a position to address the problem and more often than not rectify the situation.
This was very evident today against United when we were far from effective in the first half - even against 10 men - and we competed better and upped the tempo when it mattered to win a hard tie.
I did say earlier in the week that the Ger-nalists were constantly goading Celtic into comments and mis-quotes about the Tax-Dodgers and I am delighted Celtic have decided to blank these parasites who write fiction before fact and just
Let us just concentrate on winning games and going for trophies HONESTLY.

Lenny once again proving he is maturing as a manager and showing his passions for the club. Good times ahead Bhoys and Ghirls.

Well done Neil Lennon, agree with everything he has said and done. The give journalism a bad name, why do we still buy their papers and listen to one sided moronic phone ins? Now with Crag Burley at the Sunday Mason along with Keevins, expect sales to drop.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan here, i posted a comment on the Rangers site saying more or less the same, its just cheap poor hacks trying to dig up a story.

Nice to see Stuart McCall coaching Keith Lasley to disgracefully put the boot into anything that moves! Straight out of the Ibrox way of coaching, from souness to hurlock to ian ferguson to lee mcculloch there a total disgrace!!

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Great to see wee McCall knocked out of the cup. Possible manager of the year! My article. HAIL HAIL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you saying that Scott Brown, Neil Lennon (when he was playing) where saints? grow up pal every team have their hard players, it's a mans game (contact sport) I'll say one thing about Lennon "he has balls" he took it and gave it same as Ian Stewart, so stop your whinning

Agree0 Disagree0

After his comments this week about Motherwell only getting into CL by default, he deserves all he gets. Oh how i'm sure every Motherwell supporters' heart will swell with pride having their manager making a comment like that - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

How many SPL titles did Celtic won when McCall played for Gers?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the nugget who posted about Broony and NL , when did u ever see any of them go out and deliberately try to do damage to a player : name it , anything just to get into NL get a life.......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Lennon as a player was hard but fair. His bookings were for dissent (mainly) I never saw him go into a tackle to hurt a player unlike some. John Brown for example effectively ending one of our greats playing career by repeatedly kicking Paul McStay's ankle at every opportunity over a period of about 3 seasons! Yes NL has balls both on and off the pitch. He is also a decent man and has professional values. As for the comments about Scott Brown what utter garbage, Scott Brown is kicked up and down every week and fouled more than Forrest!

Atrocious first half display from the bhoys think they think soon as they step on pitch its game won playing far too tight for my liking we look like the team with 10 men !!

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Totally agree with that. playing c**p at the minute but can see a goal coming shortly after the break for us
