The Rangers to be in administration by Feb 2013..first time in their history..

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Green wheeled out Malcolm Murray earlier to scotch the claims in Forbes.
Murray says the club almost went into meltdown but was saved. So he lies also!
No mention by Murray of the recent accepted £94.4m tax debt to the British people unpaid. Nor the other £90m to other 275 creditors, including Ticketus/ octopus group for £26m.
No mention by Murray of disgraceful EBTs.
No mention by Murray of Team Performance.
No mention of exactly what the share issue revenue will buy for the club. This needs articulated in the media. Does it pay off the consortium?
Shares are to be sold for £500 each! Ffs that's 20 times higher than hugely successful companies that pay 7-8% dividends every year! The day after the shares issue rangers shares will be worth £40 tops.

I'm on a diet I've eaten Jelly and ice cream all summer. And I didn't sleep a wink lying in bed laughing.

Haw haw Sevco Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray stating on BBC website he is there to ensure that never again club gets to the brink of collapse....... Lol...... It totally DID COLLAPSE AND IS FINALLY BEING LIQUIDATED THIS MONTH.

THE RANGERS M MURRAY IS CHAIRMAN OF WAS FOUNDED 2012 BY CHARLES GREEN AFTER BUYING CERTAIN OLD HISTORICAL RANGERS ASSETS. RANGERS WAS NOT SAVED AS THE CVA FAILED.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

This cannot be the case, Charles Green expects to rival Real Madrid & Manchester Utd soon and I believe him.

This news could not have came at a worst time with the share issue. It'll be someone else out to get them lol Mrs E

I can't wait until liquidation day 2!!!!

A sequel. Never as good as the original, but always worth watching. The real vultures will be circling now. If that did happen the assets would go for nought. Step in barratts etc. Houses in mid range, caldow cres. Wallace way, and of course goram gutters.

Check the Stagecoach bus to Ayr ( it goes right past
Prestwick Airport) I am sure they will have early buses as route covers airport.
Or go up night before and book into a budget hotel
(Premier INN type hotel) for £19 a night
Hope this helps Timalloy

Spoke to my cousin who works at Prestwick. Good
cheap hotels within 10 minute walk are
The Ivydean Hotel, Prestwick Road, Ayr (£25 night)
The Hollies (£40 night)
The Northbeach Hotel ( from £35 night)
Hail hail Timalloy
PS go on laterooms.com to book or call hotels direct and ask for best price sometimes that works better.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/sportsmoney/2012/10/08/what-can-we-learn-from-the-financial-meltdown-of-glasgow-rangers-fc/

Forbes International business magazine predicting the math doesn't add up at Green's Rangers and insolvency event/ liquidation high risk reality.

Questioning D&Ps business figures to Bill Miller as incorrect.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Why is Charles Green pretending all the numbers make sense at sevco when they don't?
Why would D&P, appointed by Whyte, lie to Bill Millers buyout team? Why not just be truthfull?

Dave King met Green and said Rangers needs millions from a benefactor for 3-5years. Green days it'll run as a profitable business. Green said he did a deal with HMRC and CVA would be accepted. Believe Green or Forbes and King.

Agree2 Disagree2

To be honest, that article is just one guys' view on the situation, and an out-of-date one at that. he's basing those assumptions on findings by Bill Millar in april....a lot has changed since, but he's right in one aspect...the numbers still don't add up!

there are also a few dubious claims scattered around his piece, like the 5 million rangers fans nonsense, everyone and their dog knows about Hugh Adams' findings regarding their international fanbase.

also, the shirt sales lies....this is taken from sporting intelligence who compile yearly stats on all sorts of brand data:

"A big club like Ajax in a small league like the Dutch league might expect to sell 100,000 shirts and probably fewer in most seasons. Celtic (a Nike club) are believed to be the biggest sellers among Scotland's clubs, with good year sales at the lower end of the top 10, ie: several hundred thousand per year, many of them overseas in North America, Canada and Australia."

what that says is that Celtic are regularly in the top 10 shirt sales worldwide....no mention of oldco whatsoever. i also remember an article in the scotsman or herald a couple of years ago, that since the tie-in with nike, the hoops outsell oldco by 4-1!!

so in all....a few inaccuracies, and outrageous claims in his report, i wouldn't pay any attention to it at all, whether your a Celt or a zombie

Effectively though this could kill off the American market, a market where they have been very vocal about exploring and seem to think will generate a large amount of investment. In the statement issued by rangers, they have failed to mention this.

'Forbes is a leading source for reliable business news and financial information'

Mrs E

Agree1 Disagree1

FWIW, You're basing your worldwide support on shirt sales. Rangers FC have never attempted to sell anything in the North American or Asian markets, and Hugh Adam I'm affraid is just a deluded , bitter ex RFC employee with an axe to grind. In the end, we're not even sure what Rangers worldwide support is because we've never tested the market were as you lot have had ten plus years of actively selling your brand. Now, because I live in North America I can assure you that Ya'll are deluded about how much of a worldwide support you have and I'm quite sure Rangers are over estimating their brand as well. Outside of watching an Old Firm game, the rest of the world could care less about either of us...and that's a fact Jack

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure if Hugh Adam is bitter or has an axe to grind but I do know what he predicted has become a reality.

You have also stated 'Ya'll are deluded about how much of a worldwide support you have and I'm quite sure Rangers are over estimating their brand as well'..this is an opinion you share with Hugh Adam, well about rangers anyway.

Celtic's share issue was the most successful in British football history.

This year Celtic were rated 37th in Brand Finance's annual valuation of the world'sbiggest football clubs. 'Experts' in this field said that Celtic were constrained by the amount of money they got from the SPL and that if they were in the Premiership then they could be in the top 10 clubs in the world..

Please do keep to the FACTS thank you ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E , what does being in the premiership have to do with the amount of support your club has ? Correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought that a club either had support or...it didn't. I mean, it's not like nobody's heard of Celtic or Rangers before.

STV Sport article online regarding USA financial experts writing in Forbes International saying Rangers FC heading for second liquidation event.

http://m.stv.tv/news/194041-rangers-bidder-bill-millers-advisor-warns-club-could-go-bust-again/

Green's maths don't add up. More being spent than going in or likely to go in.
Share issue this month before FTTT result or BDO investigate and liquidate oldco.
Oldco no accounts for 2 years.
Newco 4 months old and going for shares issue before a set of accounts can show value of business. Crazy!

I can see Green and Imran being out of there mid November and Ally being the fall guy only one left again. If he had a brain McCoist wouldn't get caught holding the can a second time and walk.

How fickle are we fitba fans? Over a year ago, many of the Hoops were calling for Neil Lennons head, and wishining Owen Coyle had been appointed. Anyone swap the Lugan Lion now for Owny?

Believable2 Unbelievable8

Coyle, nice guy but wants to be one of the boys. Sits on the bench with his football shorts on acting like one of the squad instead of being in charge. (maybe hoping all the substitues come down with gastric flu or something and he has to come on and save the day) I know several Bolton fans who are glad to be shot of him.

As opposed to barking like a mad dog in a tracksuit, i wouldnt call that looking like a manager. Owen coyle is a decent manger, just never got the players he needed to implement his style at Bolton.
