Get Pukki out the team pronto, cut our loses in january. i'd honestly try/test Atajic(junior goal machine) Pukki is more on his a$$ than on his feet too light weight. I said weeks ago I believed he would turn out like Andy Thom(not a striker, as we were lead to believe)i liked Thom by the way, but Pukki is proving me wrong, he couldn't lace Thoms boots. Utter waste of a jersey and he's a man down, ., .

Couldn't agree more. I've been thinking to myself he's not good enough but vocally I've been supporting him at games as every fan should. But the guy just isn't celtic class. Too slow, poor touch, and doesn't score or even get into scoring position. Poor choice from celtics coaching staff and scouts on this occasion.

Where you saying all this when he scored in 2 in his first couple of games? He did well showing more he had speed and great movement with some good passes, maybe if ppl/players saw his runs could have gave him a good pass. He did fall bit but so what he is getting more time and learning the Scottish game. Give it some more time, tthis is like his first fullish game

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 I was quite happy when he scored in his first couple of games, so what? he's been found out since. And "his first fullish game"? he's had plenty of minutes and after everyone of them got worse. I'd bite your hand off for a 1M back for him, cut our loses, or maybe pukki+cash for Finbogasson/Rhodes. I'd love to sign Joel Phonjopalo(sp)aswell

@2 I agree with you totally. what service has our strikers got this year? absolutely none. yea we can score a header and that but for yous that go to games and can watch the movement pukki makes great runs but its the pass to him that we should be on here shouting about. better without commons yesterday and all round a good shake up of the squad

(4)@2, his first two goals a mirubbish through the keeper,
Second laid on a plate by a sublime pass by stokes,
Two passes again on a plate, vs p.thistle one on one
With keeper failed miserably should have put his laces
Through both chances if he's no confidence., stokes
For me is the scapegoat and he's our natural finisher,
Big vvd make him captain, we won't hold onto this guy
For long and it might up the transfer fee . ps morning
Ed.

It just seems some people aren't happy unless they're moaning about something the guy has been only here a couple of month give the guy a chance for God
sake I can think of far better players that have took longer to settle like Henrik, big john, how many games did it take him to get going, but I take it these guys were duds as well

@(6) Grahamd80, I like most youtubed him, he looked really composed and a good finisher, it's almost 4 months, young atajic or watt or the younger midfielders for that matter given the same game time would in my eyes shown more progression, I do'nt think it's the boys fault we needed someone to hit the ground running, chin up we'll get it right eventually . btw I think this is the best back four for a long time if only izzy could get more help, sammy does'nt do enough . Cheers

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 what?2 months you say pal Think your wrong there aren't you,, think about it. Please don't put Pukki in same bracket as Henrik or Hartson, ., .kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

@kbarry I wasn't comparing anyone just giving examples Henrik also got called a waste of money etc at the start because too many people just jump on the bandwagon and like to shoot people down before they even get a chance all you hear at .cp. these days is people groaning just think it's about time we get behind every single player that pulls on the hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 I undertand what your saying. And iam being two faced because I go along and wish he'd start scoring, I do support him at the games and will him to score, but he just isn't cuting it. Henrik cost us £600,000/£650,000 they say pukki was £3M/£3.5M? So if Henrik had turned out to be a flop it wouldn't have really mattered at that price, Henrik was buy/steal/find of the century. Really hope i'm proved wrong and he ends up a machine, ., .kbarry

Hi guys, Ed, considering all the players in the SPFL would be relatively cheap which 1 player would you sign if you had to.Also we all know a left back has been a priority for a while, I would also sign Lee Wallace a wee 750 to million bid would secure in my opinion as the new club seem to be havin financial problems lol.As a follow on do you think if the new club were to unearth a quality player do you think we could use them as a feeder club and snap up any talent they have it would also help to keep them in check. {Ed007's Note - I would rather see our own youth given a chance before we look at other youngsters in the SPFL. I would much rather see youg players stay at teams like Dundee Utd playing regular first team football than join us to play in the reserves. Look at the grounding James McCarthy learnt playing for Accies at such a young age.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah I appreciate that ed good point, but you only need to see the stats, very few players ever come thro its sad to see in this day and age wi no money around. I can barely remember a WONDER KID actually bein that. But I can remember loads o them that didn't. {Ed007's Note - I've said for years that Scottish youngsters lose something between Under-21 and first team players. It's been the same for as long as I can remember.
The kiss of death seems to be the 'next Dalglish' tag, how many times have we heard that over the years?}

Says it all really when the chief of police comes out and says or admits to not identifying themselves as police. He makes a joke of it saying ya we are the police please walk with us and just says when thier is violence you just have a go no questions. Thugs the lot of them, why identify yourself when you can hit innocent people eh, they need to be punished and if that is how they work over there I feel sry for ppl

Good result today played well in patches today couple of points though a know people have been saying pukki needs time but for me he offers very little a really don't see what he adds to the team and he's getting a lot more game time than big balde who a feel at least offers us a big target to hit when were getting the ball out wide as much. Next is Forrest a player who to me has went backwards at an alarming rate IMO he needs to get dropped for a while and get back to working to his strengths a just don't understand why Lennon persists in trying to mould the boy into something he's not the boys a winger and needs to get back to playing there he looks lost playing upfront or in behind and a think this is contributing to us lacking a cutting edge in attack. On plus side big vvd looks a great find strong and composed on the ball and think hel get a few goals for us as well. As a said good result would just like to see us looking a better attacking unit what's everybody else's opinion on this

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really desperate for a good striker a must at next window . Stokes looks a better player when has a decent partner

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes looks a better player when he's playing for a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

First of all well done Celtic 4-1 at a tricky venue mid-day on a Saturday on the back of a CL downer. Excellent!
I agree about Pukki looking ordinary and I also feel Stokes has really went off the boil since he arrived.
Balde has amazingly scored 2 goals in the limited opportunities he has had; but the manager is reluctant to play him on a regular basis.
The bottom line is until today we had not scored 4 goals all season and it took a defender and midfielder to do it. So unless the current front men do what they are paid to do; then we will need another striker in Jan.

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree we need a powerful goal scoring centre forward and a also feel a really creative midfielder is a must

Agree0 Disagree0

To jj if you check the results we beat kilmarnock 5-2 so its not the first time we have scored 4 goals.jimbhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't see the big guy getting a drcent crack we set up today to get plenty balls in the box and the big fella still kicks his heels why pukki let's most of the game pass him by hope I'm wrong about this guy but he's yet to show me anything

When I was a wee lad reading Roy of The Rovers many years ago I wanted to win every game 4 /5/6 -0
As I grew older and maybe not so wiser I came to realise you can't win every game by such margins nor indeed win every game even in Scotland and a 1-0 got you the same amount of points as a 4-0 .

Stats speak for themselves this morning .

Played 12 win 9 drew 3 lost 0
A 1/3 of the season gone 5 clear

Not Roy of the rovers comic stuff I admit but certainly not sack the manager or sell the forwards stuff either

Pukki needs a bit of time to settle .

Anyway back to my comic . Roy's about to score a hatrick for a 6-0 win

Wee bit disappointed with the team selection today would like to see Lennon change things a bit more he's moaning about the timing of the fixture then why not drop more players surely today we could have seen mcgeough and a few other fringe players . Saying this hopefully wel get the three points always a hard game at Dingwall

Undercover filth, what's their excuse?
Animals Ed.
Hope something gets done about this whole episode over the 2 legs.
Probably not though, UEFA nor media not interested cause its not black perpetuated nor a club with the financial muscle of they're favoured nations

Rabbie is a bit miffed with Lennon in the aftermath of our dismal showing on Wednesday. I can't see it being the lads on the park who messed up: we went out to defend in the first half against a poor ajax side - and reaped the rewards - one shot, or was it none? It was the tactics that were misguided. Giving the bhoys stick for sticking to the game plan is grating. And today - the idea that the SPFL ought to accommodate our schedule? Well, IF we showed up he might have a point.

If he can't take one for the team when its his fault, what chance is there that he will learn from this conspicuous error? I love the chap and I'm glad he's at the helm - but he needs to take it on the chin and figure out how to play against mediocre sides away from home. Holding the line is fine for Barca - more than fine. But we need to shake it up like we did against Milan sometimes too.
