Congrats to the young Celts for winning their 5th league in a row . Dundee Utd might have the best young players but it shows we have the best young team . DH

Lots of talk about signings guys, but what about the appointment of Ass manager? My no1 choice would be Jackie McNamara. Don't know if he would take it as he might have aspirations as a manager himself. But offer him it with the intention of taking over when lennon goes.It would ease him into the job and realise how big a job it is. Already proven he can get youngsters to step up.Obv knows the club, handles himself really well also.A manager for the future? Your thoughts guys.

I wouldn't take a job as an ASS Manager, even if it was at celtic!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take any job at Celtic that would give me a chance of working with and been involved with the players.
I think at my age John Clarke's the only job I could do.

Do not know if this is connected but.
Malky Mackay has settled his dispute with Cardiff as he wants to move forward.
Perhaps clearing the way to take over from Lennon?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Tim there will be few casualties in the EPL Allardyce maybe even Pardew and the Norwich job will be up for grabs . These clubs may probably go for Big Malk before NL because he's been down there and done not too bad . Should be interesting all the same .DH

Agree0 Disagree0

I would hope our next manager doesn't come from those named . None of these have shown any success in Scotland or Europe . Hopefully Celtic are looking for success in both .

With the qualifiers starting early again for the cl, its more than likely there will be ins n outs regarding transfers.
Here are a few names being thrown about who I genuinely think will make us better and could actually have a real go if we get into the group stages again.
If you guys have any other realistic transfers then please feel free, what do youse think about these?

Andy Robertson? Had a sensational season with dundee utd and the lad is only going to get better, I would love to see him brought in as he would only push izzy all the way to perform week in week out, affordable and he would jump at the chance.

Im sure there's plenty of centre halfs out there we could go for and although efe has a good relationship with virgil he, s still too dodgy in my opinion, I would keep him as back up and bring another cb in. Ideas?

Robert Snodgrass? This is one I would really like us to go for, norwich will be in the championship nxt season and he only has a year left on his contract so its likely he will go. With him publicy stating to being a celtic fan I think we could get him at a reasonably good price, he would only make our attacking threat greater.

Raoul Loe? His name came up a few weeks ago but tbh I haven't really seen the guy play albeit I never seen wanyama play before he signed for us. He does tick all the boxes with his height and strength and this is an are we need to improve.

Alfred Ndiaye? Currently on loan at real betis from sunderland but has apparently been told he won't be at sunderland nxt season, with betis being relegated and the cl a possible lure I would love to see us go for him. Still young and much in the same mould to wanyama, he ticks all the boxes and could have a good resale value if we were to improve him.

Marc Janko? Some people may have mixed opinions but I would love the guy to be in the hoops. He, s still only 31 in june and yes we wouldn't get a resale value but he's on a bosman this summer and his experience would be vital to our forward line, 6ft 5 and an out n out goalgetter I would definetely take a chance, austrian international and I think we would only help the likes of balde improve.

Gary Hooper? Again like snodgrass he, s likely to be on the move but I have mixed feelings, he was quoted as saying he left celtic because he wanted to play for england but its been an absolute disaster for him and he, s just disappearing back down again, some will say he, s had his day but his record spoke for itself and I would like to see him back nxt season with another striker with him, janko?

These are just a few ideas but we stillhave to get rid of a few, I wouldn't think twice about letting the likes of kayal boerrigter pukki go, maybe mulgrew aswell but he's got the versatility which can be vital at times, i'd probably keep him.
Still don't think stokes n griffiths will cut it in the cl but if we got a half decent offer for one of them i'd take it n get quality strikers in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd like to see Janko and Snodgrass join us but I'd keep pukki. I know people won't believe me but I honestly think there's something there. He's taken time to settle anywhere and I think next year he could be quality. Ever the optimist.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't want rid of any of Stokes Griffith and Pukki, I would still want us to sign two better strikers than these three but I think with the amount of games we hope to have before Christmas we need at least five strikers all of which we would regard as worthwhile .

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass a defo yes, Hooper no, he had his chance and left. Would rather we spent the wages on the eds choice of hunt from germany

Agree0 Disagree0

@2) Why do you want to get rid of Griffiths? Don't you rate him as a player? Are his stats not impressive enough for you?
Or are you more concerned about his off-field stuff?

Of all the ex celtic players playing in Scotland only, would you take any of them back?.

Me I'd take Barry Robson back in a flash, he could do a job in the last 20 minutes of a game if we needed to shore up defence in Europe especially, plus I think he's a model pro and I think he would have a very positive effect on the youngsters in the squad. Never one to grab headlines but did his job very quietly and effectively.

Not a chance. Liked him when he was with us but left at the right time in my opinion. Was bit sad to see Mcginn leave because I thought he looked promising. Probably not quite 'Celtic class' but good signing for Aberdeen. Apart from that there's no players in Scotland I'd have back

Agree0 Disagree0

I was a big Robson fan and although we let him leave far too soon, it's now too late in the day for him.
McGinn is another story; he obviously had issues with Lennon, but he would have played more games and scored more goals than the injury prone Forrest if he was at the club.
He still needs a bit of coaching but he has potential and talent.
Maybe another Mulgrew situation if the manager leaves?

JJ

Agree0 Disagree0

McGinn's Celtic formed dropped down very badly after he got the death threat He may never have been real star quality but after the threat he seemed to lose all confidence .
