John McGinn having a stormer tonight. He seems to be one of those players who either does nothing all game or looks a world beater.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2018 22:41:35
Agree Kevbhoy, he was excellent and his value increases week on week. Would take him and sell SA in a heartbeat.

Agree1 Disagree5

10 Mar 2018 06:18:33
Maybe that's the Celtic midfield of the near future, John McGinn and Scott Alan.

Agree1 Disagree4

10 Mar 2018 09:09:58
All 3 were outstanding last night. McGinn Will go to England and be a star. Only chance we have of getting him is by offering 2 or 3 fringe players plus cash because we have missed out our chance to buy him for anything less than ยฃ3.5m.

Agree3 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 09:23:38
Maybe Rodgers giving Hibs the green light to sign Allan could be our chance for us to offer him plus cash for McGinn. Good day that he's playing well there as it is boosting Allan's valuation too. Still could get McGinn for ยฃ3.5m plus Allan and a 10% sell on. Especially if Armstrong is likely to be off in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree2

10 Mar 2018 10:09:00
A stormer? I honestly think he was nothing better than average last night, and for me Mcgeough was by far their best player. don't get me wrong i think the boys a good player but over 3m?

Agree2 Disagree3

10 Mar 2018 10:18:55
He is out of contract next summer so I can't see him going for as much as 3.5M.

If Celtic are interested in him, both him and his agent will know about it.

If Rodgers does want him, I can see us bidding in the summer, if they are asking ridiculous money, we will wait until January and go back with a smaller offer. If they don't play ball we will get him for free next summer.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 11:00:11
Mcginns long range passing was class last night, also his drive and close control. Amongst BR and the players at Celtic he would be even better. Celtic can't allow him to go to England. Whether we can get him timr will tell.

Agree3 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 11:56:14
McGinn was just as good as any Hibs player last night, he was ok at best

Heโ€™s not good enough for Celtic and will be a Barnsley player at best when he goes to England.

Agree2 Disagree5

10 Mar 2018 12:08:36
Sometimes we forget what we have; and at present we have Brown, Eboue, Ntcham, McGregor, Biton, Armstrong and Rogic all with European, or International experience - and better than McGinn.
That doesn't include Benyu and other attacking midfield players like Forrest, Roberts, Musonda and Hayes when he returns.
So unless we are having a clear-out in the summer, he would struggle to get into the team IMO.

Agree1 Disagree2

10 Mar 2018 12:15:13
Thought mcgeoch was best player on park and alans goal had been scored by Messi or Ronaldo it would have been raved about.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 12:26:24
Once a bhoy, this is only an opinion but, ebuoe doesn't look up to to it . Biton is back up defender at most. Armstrong and rogic will both be away in the summer . Roberts will go back to man city unless they sell for under 5 million ( will probably go to a stoke or Sunderland) . I've seen nothing from benyu to suggest he can make the first team regularly and hayes is just a baffling buy altogether . Will end out on loan to Aberdeen or hibs next season . Remember how long it took broony to get to where he is now . Mcginn maybe worth a punt as he holds his own in this league already .

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sunderland are rooted to the bottom of the English Championship and will likely get relegated so they won't be buying Roberts to play in League One.}

10 Mar 2018 13:07:18
Time will tell if McGinn is good enough at Celtic or a higher level but to suggest now he is not is just ridiculous. No wonder Scotland is doom and gloom people constantly being negative towards our better youngsters. God help him if he does come to Celtic the knives will be out the minute he kicks a ball from the i told you so brigade. Have a bit of faith for the love of god.

Agree7 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 13:10:26
Am with u Stan av always liked mcginn and would take a punt.

Agree5 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 13:48:47
I haven't seen anything from Mcginn that suggests he will ever be good enough for Celtic.
Callum McGregor is the same age, is a far better player and loads of Celtic fans wanted him bomd out of parkhead till recently.

Agree0 Disagree5

10 Mar 2018 14:05:23
McGinn was the best player on the park for Scotland against Holland at Pittodrie. Yes he may have had some poor games (like all players) but i will judge him on the games where he looked the part, ie at Parkhead in September etc.

Agree4 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 14:05:51
U know what a meant ed ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ bottom epl team possible who ever gets promotion from the championship . I would love it if he signed permanent but surely man city would have to lower their price ed? But my original point is, mcginn would be worth the risk .

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Mar 2018 15:12:17
What's wrong with mcginn and Callum in same team get got more aggression than Callum they're different types.

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Mar 2018 20:21:30
Just watched Hateley on Peter and Roughie. Looks as though not much point in us turning up on Sunday as "Rangers" are such a good team and 5 or 6 of their players would get into our team. What a load of p! sh. Thought I was watching Rangers TV for a minute.

They don't mention that out of the last 8 games Celtic are undefeated and have scored 18 conceded 4. Facts like that aren't mentioned tho to suit the Ibrox agenda.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2018 09:44:02
Likely be Boyata, Jozo and Ajer at the back then? It's good to have options now. Tough team to pick now. Be a case to argue for numerous positions Sinclair/ Edouard, Rogic/ McGregor/ Musonda, Forrest/ Roberts, Ntcham/ Kouassi/ Armstrong. I'd go for
De Vries
Jozo, Boyata, Ajer
Forrest, Broony, Kouassi, Tierney
Rogic, Ntcham
Dembele
Then perhaps bring on Armstrong (Kouassi) Roberts (Forrest) and Edouard (Rogic) if we are chasing the win and switch to a 3-5-2.

Really hoping that Moussa has read the headline about his "barren old firm run", you know the one that Bates is going to continue? What a game this would be for the big man to really return to form in-I know he's been getting better before anyone pipes up but a hat trick Hun-skelping would be a lovely way to put them back in their shoogly wee box.

ED007 and guys, ED001 has taken me by surprise by asking if I could put up some tips for Cheltenham, Mrs T says yes, how about you guys, do you think it is a good idea.
I promise to only put up decent looking bets from reliable sources, NOT my own tips lol.
This year I have found 2 or 3 decent tipsters (free naturally as I am a skinflint lol) and one or two bets from a mate who usually gives me a couple of nice winners at Cheltenham.
Please give me genuine feedback.
I would also like you guys to put up your tips and I will try and ensure they get put up also.
Cheltenham starts on Tuesday.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Go for it, Tim and there's no reason why you can't put your own tips up as well as the ones you've picked up elsewhere.}

ED001 with Cheltenham beginning on Tuesday will ED023/ ED025 or another editor be covering the football bets racing page and putting up tips each day.
I ask because I noticed neither named eds have been around much recently.
Thanks in advance.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Ed025 is always about, he is just kept busy with the moaning on the Everton page and all the outpourings of sympathy on the other pages over Everton being stuck with Fat Scam and hasn't been on the bets page much. I will ask him if he intends to.

I doubt Ed023 will be about as he has a lot of real life stuff going on and he very rarely has time to get on the sites these days.

We could do with an editor to look after the bets site if you are interested in helping out Tim? As you are the one with tips like, save you having to wait for us to approve your tips, you can get them up straight away and then those that question them would be able to see by the time stamp if you had sent them in prior to the event or just talking wise afterwards!}

09 Mar 2018 10:40:45
ha ha ED001, ME an Editor? Me giving out tips, I would BANKRUPT all your posters lol
You have given me something to think about though and I will need to ask Mrs T how much time she will allow me.
I fancy doing it, if Mrs T approves, for the big meeting like Cheltenham and the Grand National to begin with.
Can I email you privately to discuss it, and how do I contact you ED001.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the person to contact would be Ed033 and, if it helps, it would not take up much time as it is not currently one of the sites that is busy.

If you message him through the contact form, I will mention to him why you are emailing and so he will look out for it. It needs to be him as he is the one that knows what it would entail exactly and would have to set it all up.}
