I believe it's Bobby madden for the final.killy.

I think you are right, we cannot expect fair play from him either. Sure they are all the same, all trained and developed by Dallas.

See Guiddeti mouthin off about wanting to re join feyenoord! He's the classic example of a player who's achieved nothin in the game thinkin he's better than he is! I for one will not be sorry to see him go! Decent player but not top class! Let him warm the bench for the rest of the season and give scepovic a run out!! See what he can do with a run of games!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2015 22:25:10
I agree I now would not have him any where near the 1st team, great start but so disappointing since, even this thing with singing on tv, clearly working his ticket!

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 23:48:38
After a promising start, he has not been performing any better than strikers we currently have. I personally hope he goes, we need a striker who knows how to consitently score and I don't think its Guidetti.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 00:29:54
Guidetti would want between 30-40 thousand a week at the end of this season because he is a free agent if we were to pay that he would be our top earner and put him in the wage bracket of the likes larsson, Sutton, Lennon etc! is he in that group??? Not a chance imo

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 00:53:54
Guidetti just shows how hard it is to sign a good striker . I think we all thought he was the real thing .
Some people wanted us to get rid of Griffiths, where would we be now if it wasn't for the wee man. He shows work rate and effort can make up for not been the most skilful .

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 09:38:10
It's not just Gudetti. Stokes and Scepovic can't score either. Is it the way we play or are none of them good enough? We just don't seem to be able to find a 20 plus goals a season striker. Been like this for 3 or 4 seasons. Commons papered over the cracks last season. I have to admit it I am not a fan of Griffiths either but he looks best of a poor bunch. There are at least 6 other players who need replaced as well but some are loan players so they will go at end of the season but we are starting to get down to a very small squad of decent players and with so many games coming up if is going to be a difficult run in.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 10:20:06
Scepovic has scored In pretty much everygamr he has started Johnny, Griffiths is a good wee striker who I never liked either but he has changed my mind. Get behind your team mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 16:10:56
Griffiths is a joy to watch . We probably have more technically better attackers in the club but Griffiths works his socks off ever week and is always looking, never hiding .
Not only that but with his wives and girlfriends and children he certainly boosts the attendances .
Deila will have a soft spot for him, because by what he said and what he has done he has impressed many into how much a Deila twenty four hour a day athlete can achieve.

I'm sitting here watching this Manchester United n Arsenal game and after watching the Hoops yesterday one thing is clear.

Leigh Griffiths should be looking at getting a refund from that hair transplanting place!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2015 21:25:23
A.H. I'm watching it as well. You are obviously a keen gardener. Why is the Old Trafford pitch like the 18th hole at Gleneagles while Tannadice, Celtic Park and Hampden are like ploughed fields?

Awe my heart bleeds for you worrying about your own hair line and others, at 65 I still have all mine intact but it has changed colour all by itself .
I was busy tonight reading the paper so I didn't watch the money rich, poor skilled English Cup match, but it's only a few years ago that the field of dreams was a badly cut up paddock just as we have in Scotland .

Names to look out for in the summer jordy hiwula Matthias Bossaerts Greg Leigh all at Man City just now but looking to gain experience and city have had good reports about denayers loan and are willing to loan more players which suits celtics policy also

Believable0 Unbelievable0

10 Mar 2015 02:07:32
Posted some decent rumours over the years marco.

If that is going to become our policy though then i'm scared of what we're becoming.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 16:22:50
Jim Jim don't worry be not afraid, it's not going to be our policy but it maybe a small part of our plans for bringing new young talent to the club and having them for a year or two. I don't have any problem with that as we will still use the traditional methods which have worked on the odd ocassions before .

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 18:05:21
Just don't want us becoming some sort of training complex for City. RD has a fantastic record of bringingnplayers through, albeit it may take years to have effect, but let's do it with our own, not Citys. Perhaps just shows how our standards have slipped that somebody like Denayer improves our side.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2015 19:01:15
Jim Tim. Surely you are a little bit harsh on Denayer . Who as a young lad has played very steadily and very well, even when his more Senior partner has lost the head a wee bit I recent weeks Denayer has played very well and could have done so in many Celtic teams over the years . If we never do worse than get the loan of players of Denayer's ability, we will be lucky .

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 13:11:29
Not being harsh. He has played well and deserves to play. But surely a club of our stature shouldn't have a first pick centre half on loan -especially if he doesn't even want to be here even mid-term. Don't know how you can argue with my frustration really.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2015 18:58:53

Anyone know if it, s the same ref for replay or do they pick another one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2015 20:29:12
Was just going to post that question as I reckon it is usually the same one for a Cup replay. Thomson is notoriously dodgy against us and has history.
Who is getting the League Cup Final by the way - don't say William OF Collum!

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 22:45:38
Thanks jj. Thought I remember something that the ref gets the game if it goes to a replay. Is it 4 sent off before it, s abandoned. You never know the way thompson referees

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's the same referee for replays, HP, and a match will be abandoned for any reason a team ends up with less than seven players on the pitch, the reasons can be dismissals or injuries or a combination of both.}

09 Mar 2015 16:41:40
Hampden has been re turfed for the final has it not Ed?

Am sure I heard that

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Yep.}

09 Mar 2015 17:33:05
Should think so after our last game there. Hopefully it has chance to settle as new turf can come up pretty easily if it doesn't.

Knowing how incompetent the SFA have been in other areas could we trust that they get the new pitch ready in time?

ED007 it did not take long for the scottish media to jump all over the Guidetti clip, want to bet there is a clamour for the compliance officer to now get involved, then right on cue up pops wee nevin on BBC with his Celtic chip on his shoulder blaming eveything on Brown

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed007's Note - I've been telling you for years not to listen to guys like Nevin, it won't be doing your health any good.}

09 Mar 2015 17:10:55
Tim it's best to avoid the lot of them as their objective is to get us in a stew every week with their biased blethering.
Sly have got a wide selection of offenders and BBC Scotland is never far behind when it comes to snide and slanted comment - and don't even get me started on S(evco)TV or Radio Gash Gash.
It has been going on since I was younger with Alex Cameron, Gerry McNee and the like and they are more to be pitied than scolded as Billy Connolly would say.

10 Mar 2015 01:02:41
Ed as you have often told us Pat Nevin shouldn't be listened to by us . In fact there are very few who make any attempt to be fair and impartial on TV or Radio.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're never going to get far in the Scottish media by talking up CFC, just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after us.}

09 Mar 2015 15:41:30
on yesterdays performance, our problem was that Untd sat back so deep, that we used our normal play to break them down. We should have been firing shots in time after time.
We had 81% of the ball in the 2nd half.with their Def & mid sitting on their area box.
anyway we are still in the hunt for the treble.

Cant wait for round 2 ( Ding ding)

HH

Believable1 Unbelievable1

09 Mar 2015 20:28:51
HH, we have struggled all season against packed penalty boxes, and of course this is nothing new. Players who can break through these situations are normally very expensive. I agree that one tactic that can get results is to shoot, shoot, shoot and deflections may happen. Another is to employ a Jinky type of player to weave his way through, he may score, or get pulled down. Getting to the bye line and a cut-back can be deadly. Trying to pick little passes through a brick wall as we did most often leads to nothing - as it did once again for us.

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Mar 2015 12:46:17
So John guidetti is in hot water of using the word "hun" whilst singing his song. This term I'm sure was first used when the old rangers traveled to Wolverhampton and destroyed the place, a bit like what they done to Manchester. I'm sure it was a journalist who first coined the term. I'm only 27 so I'm not sure I was even alive lol. Anyway what do you guys think? Is this a secterian word? Or is it a well deserved word that they brought on themselves by acting like they has atilla guiding them through england?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The whole idea that the word Hun is in any way sectarian is a joke and should never have been up for debate, Hun is a term that is used to denote Rangers/Sevco fans and players e.g. Novo, Amoruso both Catholics and still both Huns not to forget Judas! Ask CFC fans why they never took to Kenny Miller and 99% of them will say because he played for the Huns, as far as I know you can't play football for a religion, in saying that the hordes at Ibrox don't know if they're supporting a football club or company so who knows, they might think Sevco is a religion, it's awfy confusing.
Supporters of Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, the Dundee clubs even Accies fans refer to Sevco and their supporters as Huns, every other team in Scotland in fact, it's the equivalent of using Tim for CFC supporters. Let's not be kidded here, Hearts fans would never use the term if it was offensive to Protestants.
Just like our Hail, Hail they have Follow Follow, they call us Tims and we call them Huns, it's when you start getting into the Fenian and DOB it starts to become offensive and sectarian.
It's funny it never bothered them until recently when they needed something to shout about and to deflect from their own disgusting and vile songs and terms that are heard any time they congregate.
Should we really be allowing, or even listening to, people who find child abuse funny and something to be mocked to take the moral high ground over what is offensive and what's not?}

09 Mar 2015 16:42:40
ED007 now I am confused lol your filter blocks word like MMoron (delete one M) yet allows "Hun" anyway I am old enough to remember Alfie Conn and we Celtic fans used to sing "he used to be a Hun but he's all right now" Anyway my "filter" Mrs T will not allow me and the girls to use the word Hun so we use "currents" instead but like all "currents" they can be nauseating in a bunch lol

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed007's Note - It used to be blocked I think and we're obviously not going to have it become widely used on the site. A lot of the words that are blocked are just the names people resort to in childish posts, it's a time saving thing for us Eds more than anything else so that we don't need to change them ourselves. Anyone can find anything offensive and anyone can scream about how offended they are, just because some people do that doesn't really mean it is offensive. Some people find Frankie Boyle offensive and some people don't. If any Zombie really and truly finds being called a Hun is offensive they're probably the Zombie version of our panty-wetters, all faux outrage and hand-wringing with far too much time on their hands.
What if we all started whinging about being called Tims, if we kicked and screamed loud enough would it stop the Zombies calling us it? If you look into the background of the clownshoes driving this on you'll see it's plainly a case of deflecting from their own bigoted and sectarian outlook and ideals. That state aid plonker is visibly having a mental breakdown on social media, he's that far gone even McTurdo has been giving him a wide berth for the last few months.}

09 Mar 2015 17:00:06
I can't speak for jg but I'm guessing he doesn't know the full history of where the word came from and what it means. I, m sure he has clicked onto a word we call our rivals and is included in a song sung in his honour by the fans of the club he is trying to win a league and cups for. So when he is asked by local TV to sing the song with his name in it of course he is going to sing it without realising it could cause offence. But when has the daily record ever let a simple explanation like that get in there way of some celtic bashing as a form of Rangers/sevco deflection.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 19:10:31
That's how I would have put it if I was capable Ed. Should be a non story. The PC brigade will be all over it as well as every hypocritical ex pro that can be herd together.

I read a letter in a magazine some where few years back from a very old fella that was a celtic man from S Ireland that had moved to Oz many moons ago and returned for a last visit. He was amused to the point of sending the letter at the change of the use of the word and its rangers/celtic link. Due to to some early Catholic factions in S Ireland backing Germany they were called huns! I think his quote was along the lines of "changed days. I've been cut off in the outback so long everything has flipped on its head"

Iam not going to blame pitch or ref, yesterday we should have won.
Like most posters I don't see a future for stokes or forest or guidetti, and I can't understand why Ambrose gets so much stick compared to others. With players cup-tied, injured the next few weeks will be telling.
STOP THIS TALK OF TREBLE.

Believable1 Unbelievable15

09 Mar 2015 11:33:35
No m8 the treble is in the bag, we have a replay at cp and 3 games at Hampden, we created chance after chance at tanadice and will win our next 3 games against them and won't throw away 6 point lead in the league with a vastly superior goal difference, instead of all the negativity join me in cheering them on every step of the way .

Treble is a certainty.

Agree5 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 12:51:36
DN30 I hope your tongue is firmly in your cheek with that statement, we have injuries, suspensions, cup tied players and fatigue to overcome, everyone keeps writing off Dundee United they will give us 3 more tough games so no talk of treble please until we have won all 3 trophies.

Agree0 Disagree8

09 Mar 2015 12:55:22
I don't think that the treble is a certainty, we have a chance of doing it, but yesterday showed how easily things can go wrong.
A bad referee could end up costing us, that penalty that was given against us yesterday nearly knocked us out. With the goalkeeper playing a blinder, that's all it takes.
We are certainly the best team in these competitions, but in Cup matches circumstances can sometimes conspire against you, so nothing is certain.

Agree3 Disagree3

09 Mar 2015 15:34:12
King Lenny never got into position to win the treble . Between us and the treble is probably totally unfit pitches at Hampden and 's friend many will be out to prove Thompson isn't the most bias and incompetent referee in Scotland .

Agree4 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 16:50:10
King lenny did have us in this very position Chris. When we lost to Kilmarnock in the league cup final we were still in the scottish cup. We lost to killie we lost to hearts and the season was gone. Hope Ronnie can go one better. Or two as the case may be. Why are you bothering with previous managers I've lost count of the amount of times you've told me off for getting into the Ronnie lenny discussion.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2015 10:44:37
A really think we will struggle to win this treble now so many players injured and suspended and the players we bring in.to cover are just not up to it and the other thing that really worries me is ambrose will be back playing in at least 2 of the games against utd so straight away playing wae ten players then the ref aswell we are really up against it but being in Scotland what else we expect hope I'm proved wrong in Ronnie we trust coybig

Believable7 Unbelievable5

09 Mar 2015 14:07:01
for once I don't thin Ambrose did that much wrong yesterday Izzy what was he thinking about keeping that ball in? on the lead up to there goal. Was it just unfortunate that we did not convert any of the good chances? Or poor play by us? looking back at the game I think it was poor play by us we had a bad day and got another chance to put it right as I am sure we will

Agree1 Disagree1

09 Mar 2015 15:38:08
It's obvious what Izzy was thinking of, he saw Stokes and was trying to lauch a last grasp counter attack against Dundee Utd who had quite a good few players up the field . Unfortunately there was a Dundee United player in the way who got the ball and got into the box and Thompson did what he enjoyed doing .

Agree1 Disagree2

09 Mar 2015 19:07:46
Ambrose never done much wrong what game were u watching constantly lost the ball and everytime he's on it your heart is in your mouth total liability it's simple just not good enough mate

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Mar 2015 21:11:18
It's more and more in your own biased mind, green and white knight, about your heart in your mouth every time Ambrose is on the ball.
Maybe you should open your mouth and let your heart escape .

Agree0 Disagree1

09 Mar 2015 21:55:38
sorry I really did not see him do to much wrong ( Ambrose) he slipped and fell at one point apart from that he did not do any worse than the rest of the team, Like you he is not some one that commands a start in the team in my opinion but credit where credit is due

How am a biased because a says a don't think ambrose is any good a think you will think the majority of our support think the exact same thing ambrose and stokes also are just not good enough that's just the facts not being biased mate obviously if he's playing I'll support him when he is wearing the jersey but point am making is he's an accident waiting to happen and it's been proved time after time amen hail hail
