If ever this countries corrupt and cheating football authorities were to be shown up for what they are it is today. Dundee United ordered to pay sevco just over 200k for young Telfer.This is nothing short of a disgrace. Telfer has had TWENTY MINUTES in a first team shirt at sevco, in an end of season nothing game when the lower league they competed in was won.

Sevconians it seems are trumpeting this as an end to the new/old club debate.Why I don't know and frankly don't care, they died and we all know it.More seriously this is yet another case of the SFA helping out their favourites, nothing more or nothing less.Will the money go to the BDO creditor pot? I would doubt it, this shambles of a club can't even pay charities the money they owe them.

But by far the worst part of this is that Peter Lawwell is on the SFA committee. Why has he not kicked off regarding this? When we were told it would be the end of Scottish football with no rangers, unless they were hoisted into the SPL, every club and there fans rose as one to demand they started anew. We are the biggest club in Scotland, we should be taking the lead on this new/old club debate.In the cup game v sevco we should state, very clearly, that we consider them to be two years old and have NEVER played them.It is that simple.

Lawwell and Celtic owe that to every Celt who suffered during our own crisis. But ultimately they owe it to every fan of every other club who stood firm against the blatant cheating of the football authorities in this country to gerrymander a new club into the top flight.We are the big boys of the Scottish football spectrum, time we started flexing our muscle.

Good reading GJ a thought about posting something but with the football couldny be bothered typing bout the BILE

Ed, a think you indicated that our board were preparing to make a statement regarding the insignificance of the cup league pending semi final in relation to it being a NEW fixture, I hope I never misread that but should we suspect this nearer the time, apologies btw if a picked you up wrong

thanks

{Ed007's Note - At Pedro's last informal tea and biscuits session he said the club are well aware of the fan's feelings and they will be taken into account with the club's approach to the upcoming LC match. He also said that the safety of the club's employees and supporter's is of paramount importance at all times.
Isn't the LC match called 'another Glasgow derby' on the official site where they talk about beating Partick?
From what I was told, and the guy was there for his tea, the club will not play along with any talk of things like the 'Old Firm' regarding the LC cup match.}

I think the worse part of this grubby business is that the SFA is allowed to set up a tribunal to deal with these matters . Obviously the members of the tribune are more interested in the reputation of the folk who run football in Govan, than the facts. I hope the BDO step in and take 2/3 of the amount paid and put it into the Rangers club estate to be shared by the creditors .

Thanks Ed, I will for one will be disappointed if something is not said, I really hope we wait game comes n goes and we get we never said anything like we were scared of repercussions! or we were advised against it!

All it will take is something along the likes of "a statement on behalf of celtic fc" then it is not linked to an individual

ED, do u not think Celtic/ lawell should have made ar position as a club known 3 years ago, this was always going to happen, and they just buried there heads in the sand

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's reasons why I think they should have and there's reasons I think they shouldn't have. Everybody knows the truth, even the Zombies know it, they just won't admit it out loud, it actually bores me now, it's not even any fun laughing at them any more. Remember at school there was always some wee manky kid everyone teased but you felt sorry for him because you knew his dad was a jakeball and his mam was the local drunken bike, that's how I feel laughing at Zombies now, I keep expecting a clip round the ear from my own mam for pointing and laughing at someone worse off than yourself.
I know CFC history and our history is unbroken, they will never be able to honestly say that, what they say, will always and forever be a lie.
Ask them this, between June 2012 and Aug 3rd 2012, AS PER THE RULES what league were the Rangers entity (as a club) entitled to play in?
There's no answer to that because they didn't exist during that time. The truth doesn't need defending, it just is, it can stand its own ground. Lies need an ever increasing layer upon layer of more lies.
Get Green Jhedi onto our own Sevco page, and he'll fill you in with everything you need on it, and Mrs E will have (or had) loads of top quality information on the whole thing, Timalloy posted a lot of good stuff as well, if they can be ar$ed with it. There'll be others but their names escape me just now.
No offence, DBB, I passed my limit on it a LONG LONG time ago, that's why we started our Sevco page, if CFC fans want to talk about their situation do it on there, I don't have a problem with that but I don't want involved in it. It became too much about individual egos than the right thing to do and how to do it.
For the believer there are no questions, for the non-believers there are no answers.
A bit of a rant there for which I apologise, DBB, but I wanted to make my position clear before it all gets dragged up again, they really aren't even worthy of my opinion or comment. And yes, I am that arrogant :)

On the bbc it quote rangers initial response. The later part of this statement (to with new club/old club) has recently been removed from their website. I wonder why.

People should move on and forget about that mob.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the way some have poured over every little detail and wrote books about it, is pathetic to be honest.

It was highly amusing at the time (still is) but a Glasgow football club being financially mismanaged is not the be all and end all.

Football, or any competition, attracts rivalry and 'banter' some need to have a wee look at this and gain a bit of perspective.

Seen Basel mocking the EPL and Liverpool last night which is healthy and fine but doubt they'll win the competition 5 times anytime soon :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

Mrs E, I liked your point about that wee Swiss club, however it will take Liverpool one hell of a time to win the European Cup five time again .

Agree1 Disagree0

Ah Chris but Basel have as much chance as winning the CL as Liverpool do and an English Team will win the CL before Basel do but their banter was good fun.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Ed. It becomes a bit boring after a while. I go over to their page for some banter but I don't get involved in slagging off, its a waste of time. (I visit a few of the rumours pages and enjoy reading the various takes and points of view). Its the same old garbage churned out and then Sally blabbers on about not walking away. Why would he? I could not walk away from that cash not to mention the effect it would have on his career as a pundit or his chances of managing another club. Only concerned about this club and looking for some progress. Hail Hail

Afternoon Ed, The last 32 of the Europa league is it just an "old fashioned out the hat draw"? or will it be seeded v unseeded? If that is the case obviously the 8 fall out of the CL

The point am trying to get to is will Celtic be seeded in the draw just trying to establish the potential opposition thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - CFC won't be seeded.

Knockout phase:
In the last 32, group winners and the four third-placed sides from the UEFA Champions League with the best records are seeded, guaranteeing they will play the second leg at home. Teams from the same group or the same association cannot be drawn together. From the round of 16 onwards, the draw is free.}

Thanks for that Ed a did think that it would be "like for like" with the CL set up but the dropdowns confused me, knowing our luck/fate we probably get Legia Warsaw again!

Agree0 Disagree0

Imo I think it's better to be unseeded for this round of the el because generally from what I've seen the bigger teams aren't really that interested in the europa league.

Big bhoy if am not mistaken the winner of the Europa goes straight into the champions league

Big boy that's usually their excuse when they lose .

Top 6 celtic player appearances so far this season. Izzy 28. Johannson 28. Van Dyke 27.stokes 24. Macgregor 24. Gordon 21. The most injury prone goalkeeper ever is one of the most played players so far this season. Markie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Gordon's not the most injury prone GK ever, he is the most injury prone in Sctoland just now and that we've ever had at CFC, but not ever, surely there's somebody out there worse than him but I can't think of one just now, even Petr Cech hasn't missed as many games through injury since he fractured his skull as Gordon has this season, and I don't recall him saying he could do with a rest. Don't try and twist my words.}

Story for the unintentional word twisting. My point was that it seems odd to be talking about CGs appearances this season when he has appeared in more games than most. In terms of missing games through being injury prone surely Forrest, Lustig, brown, Mathews, Mulgrew should be spoken about before CG. Other than maybe Forrest it only seems to be the goalkeeper. Markie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Markie he has done well to last 21 games. Issue is one bad knock to knee could cause serious goalkeeping problems if injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could we not bring fasan in for cover! Heard he was decent

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul McShane, Daniel Cardone, Phil Stamp and Tony Hibbert are the ones I always joke about. Djimi Traore is a good shout. Maurice Ross was one of those i'd just never get tired of punching.
