With our biggest game of the season coming up should we risk Griff in Saturdays league game? Imo if there are any doubts about his fitness I would leave him out of both games purely because we"ll win our league game on Saturday without him and lose on Tuesday whether he plays or not.

Stevie we have already had our biggest games of the season and gladly we qualified for CL group stage. The rest of the season is just a formality, although it will be nice to knock some flies off that new shhhh the morra. ;)

Is anyone been watching the celtic v rangers classics on bbc sport last couple days?

Todays is the 98 5 - 1 at cp and jesus i forgot what a pounding that was. Lubo debut with henk running riot. If you watch it look at the 1st goal where henk dummies for lubo, its hilarious henk made hendry look like a right tool.

More of the same this Saturday bhoys.

It's lubos face after the first goal that cracks me up.
He looks around like WTF is going on.

08 Sep 2016 20:00:34
Dr Venglos had a similar expression as well if I remember? Nobody outside Celtic fancied us that day and we had tony Warner in goal making his debut as well.
Larsson and Lubo gave glimpses of great things to come.

Remember the game like it was yesterday! Was my first Game against that mob! My uncle foned me the day of the game and said he couldn't use his ticket and would I want it! Silly question! Lol. went to the game myself that nite and couldn't believe the atmosphere! Sat at the very back of the north stand! Remember this guy in a suit next to me, and me thinking he looks a bit out of place! He was going absolutely mental as was I! Was buzzing for days after it! Would love a repeat on Saturday morning, and I'll be there to witness it again HH.

Wiss, I'd take a similar result as well provided the league flag ends up in the same place as it did that season. maybe without the sky divers when it does though.

I see the green brigades match the fine for Palestines gofundme is sitting at a breathtaking £168000 just now and they have cleverly put up the amount they hope to raise to £188800 that would be amazing I will be sticking a few more pounds in this weekend to hopefully push that amount closer to the new goal.

Celtic to win 5-2 on Saturday? Just like we did the first time we played the old club. 66/ 1 which of course means if you put a pound on you get £67 back. Fate?

I see them sitting too deep for us to take 5 off them HenriksTongue. A draw or marginal defeat is a good result for them. Don't see any reason for them to venture out of their own half. 3-1 is my bet as I don't see our centre halfs or a Rodgers team not losing a goal. Very much hope you're right and I'm wrong though. I wish Warbo the Hunnite leader a mighty smiting in the land of the Timmites. Guys, no need to argue about new company or old company. In business terms (firm) the previous company are no more. End of old firm. But the new company are supported by the same follow followers so old rivalry is still there. In simple terms a different shite but same flies.

Funny to see the great warbiola losing the plot at the press conference today it reminded me of the famous Kenneth Williams quote in Carry On Cleo "Infamy infamy THEY'VE ALL GOT IT INFAMY" lol.

Agree9 Disagree0

08 Sep 2016 19:24:43
James in fairness to Warbo I watched press conference and unless I seen an edited version he didn't seem to lose the plot? Have actually been fairly impressed with the guy as a man and had only heard good things about him from down south until now which until last week actually had me a bit worried. But after his photoshoot in Belfast last week that fear subsided. Nobody with any principles would have posed with the Shankiill Defenders. So fear not and feckm and I for one will be singing along to the wee ditty on Saturday when we're pumping them 'Oh Warburtons a fanny he wears a fanny's hat etc'. Right in about them.

Agree1 Disagree5

08 Sep 2016 19:42:31
He did lose the plot he was going on about "the pundits say we're going to get pumped at least 4-0" and "we'll take that on board and show them" etc etc. Its in his head we are the better team and we are and they WILL get pumped 4 or 5-0.

Grrrr the dirty tricks have begun already.
Those pesky SFA/ SPFL people have given Rodgers manager of the month for August.
They are hoping the curse of this award continues in that usually the next game played that manager's team gets beat.

09 Sep 2016 00:10:45
Superstition? Bit too paranoid! I get things go against us at times but they also go for us why is this a conspiracy? Our players and manager are not going to take their eye off the ball because of a monthly award! I feel a lot of our fans are looking for excuses already subconsciously! it's football games are won, lost and drawn mistakes are made against and for us and as we do know there is barely a part of life which isn't corrupt but why cling to such a negative perspective? If we play well we win we are superior but not invincible I think a few of u need to accept that.

Dont know if i'm looking to much into this bhoys but has anyone noticed the huge push sky are putting on the celtic v zombie game?
So much so that it almost looks like there flogging our game over the manc derby which is on at the same time.

Could this be a test from sky to see the pulling power of the old firm game is and to see which game pulls in a bigger audience? Both games are huge imo and i'm really suprised sky were happy to have them on at the same.

Could any intel be gathered to see if the glasgow clubs should be invited into the english leagues.

The old Firm died 5 years ago for a start mate so doubt it.

08 Sep 2016 14:45:09
The old firm will never die and this is a big deal for sky. champions league football is the reason there on at the same time but I would like to see the viewer numbers on both games. I think we will pip the Manchester derby.

Agree1 Disagree6

08 Sep 2016 15:08:04
Surely they could have put the manc derby on at 5:30 tho.

I think your right we will pip them in the viewing figures, would be a good result for scottish football if we did.

Think u'll find Gordo is right mate, the old firm died along with rangers! This is a derby yes but old firm game no! I'm assuming your from the other mob by that comment! So I'll say it again for you. the old firm game is deid! But we'll quite happily skelp sevco! HH.

Agree1 Disagree1

08 Sep 2016 16:59:10
This game is a Glasgow Derby and although there is no such thing as the 'old firm' anymore., it is foolish to deny there is worldwide interest for one reason or another.
Sly have always pinned their red, white and blue colours to the mast and will try with all their might to push Sevco as close to Celtic as they can - as alone they are very weak and still 124 years behind us.

The OP it's sly being sly no chance of a tea time ko because it eats into the kell brook fight (build up) listening to Barry Hearn saying that as soon as he new these two games were on never needed to plug the fight as much but hit the revolving billboards at both games that way you get a full day of Sports (y)

Have you heard anything regarding Rogis ED some folk are saying he was simply subbed while away with National team and others saying he came off with a knock? Really hopeing its not the latter as I think he will be the key linking Midfield with Attack.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Rumours of any knock look to be just mischief making. More than likely an agreement was made between us and the Australians that Rogic would only play for an hour.}

08 Sep 2016 14:41:45
I very much doubt there was an agreement as it was a World Cup qualifier. More likely tactical switch as it was 0-0 against uae and it worked as they won 1-0 and it's well documented about rojic's fitness levels and he played 90 min in previous match so could have been tiring.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't matter if it a WC qualifier - does Rogic's fitness problems just disappear when he goes on international duty? The Australian backroom staff will work closely with Celtic's to make sure Rogic's fitness is managed to the Club's wishes.}

Griffiths has a problem with his hamstring's which he has been nursing for a couple of week's, that's how he's been subbed after an hour in the last couple of games, he didn't train this morning let's hope it was just as a precaution and he's okay to play.
