Ed don't you think Kevin Nolan would be worth a punt would bring good experience to the team? He's on a free saying that don't know what kind of pay he'd be asking for.

Well RD is going to be under the microscope wither the new additions and the run of games against the Dons and Jam Tarts, not to mention the Europa games. Fingers crossed he starts to know and pick his best side. Good luck to the new guys and wish them a successful debut and season. HH

Iv got to say WTF was strachan thining not playing Griffitths? Did fletcher actually have a shot? Even mulgrew is getting a start I hope the next generation of young scots produce some special players we have no talisman in the team some good players but no star player! I wasn't a fan of strachan at Celtic I was always on the edge of my seat every game and was befuddled by his team selections but he still won games I hope he realises fletcher is not the answer! Why not Rhodes if fit?

Celtic latest young batch will be fit to supply Scotland with a rich vein of midfielders and midfielders and midfielders oh yes and midfielders.

I know our back four is disgusting! Hanley? When will we produce a defender to properly lead a Colin Hendry of sorts! I get we have unity but at least Wales have bale and Ramsey we don't have any one of that quality is that not what mark watt is supposed to be producing from grass roots?

Colin Hendry,you must be having a laugh,I can still picture that over rated carthorse elbowing that San Marino defender,then wee Craigy (we got more throw ins than them )Brown trying to defend his cretinous behaviour.

Colin Hendry? Are you mad? Stephen Hendry would do a better job and he plays snooker!

We have young striker who is at real Madrid and numerous top quality midfielders. So the future is definitely bright.

Re Colin Hendry, I liked the guy and thought he was a good strong stopper. I was at the Scotland game (right along from the 6 yard line so saw everything very clearly) when he eventually lost patience with that niggling wee gobshhhh and He was lucky it was only an elbow MSM (as they do) were indicating possible assault charges and I actually contacted his club and offered witness statement I felt so strongly about it. No time for wife and kid beaters but would have him in my defensive line up on his game.

He's at Brighton now Marco hasn't played a game yet but Harper does look decent

That's the boy jack harper is on loan or did they sign him permanently.

{Ed007's Note - It's a permanent deal, Marco.}

Hendry wore his heart on his sleeve and gave everything for our national team! We do have a good bunch of MF coming through but we should be producing more when mulgrew is our first choice LB it says it all! I just hope we can pull it all together soon for the sake of our country's pride and co- efficient!

what we need is alan hansen, willie miller, ,martin buchan, richard gough , billy mcneil types.
why are we not producing this type of player anymore?
even big Eck was miles better than colin hendry IMO

Anyone else glad the internationals are done and we get back to the domestic games? Personally the international games don't hold my interest all that much but I hate how other fans of the national team instantly turn on the Celtic players.
Doesn't matter the result but if the player comes from Celtic then they are terrible and shouldn't be near the team.
Anyway glad its over and looking forward to the weekend and a positive result to go clear at the top of the league

Personally I cannot wait until October 8th when we play Poland. I am so disillusioned by the goings on at Celtic park right now I can't see much to get excited about for this season anymore other than these next two games and hopefully the play offs

I agree with you, I can never get too excited by International football.
I would personally rather do away with International breaks, play the league straight through, and then play all the International matches at the end of the season in one go. It might stop the club's fixtures being disrupted for meaningless International friendlies.

I remember the old days at Hampden when the 'Rangers End' picked the team and dictated the substitutions, so it put me off International football for life and I agree about getting back to the domestic season with Celtic asap.
We have a few problems of our own right now and a fair amount of new signings to bed-in with important games coming up.

Av never been to a Scotland game and never will. Got a couple of mates that go and are Celtic fans and they've told me there's still a lot of sectarian abuse shouted at our players. No way a could sit there and say nothin.

That is some comment you have made!I agree with Mulgrew against Malmo he had no pace was very easy to see!But I take it you you have not been to many games this season!Brown has been class I know for a fact he has not been fit for the last 2 Scotland games cause he got a bad one against Dundee!i blame Strachan for not pulling him aside and telling him your not fit!wonder why he came off tonight!Lets everyone stay loyal to our Captain cause it's going to be a long season without him!

Something Timalloy posted the other day about where the funds raised from Jock Stein remembrance game has made me think a lot.

A very valid point was raised about the reluctance of PL to announce Celtic would match total funds raised and effectively double total raised. I fully agree, this should of been the case.

My point is the money raised is going to aiding refugees of Syria and helping them rebuild their lives which I am all for. My grief is though, who are the charities intially earmarked for donations raised that WILL miss out?

Just seems another opportunity for PL to look the bees knees, yet a mere match of funds raised like Timalloy suggested could of went a lot further. Biscuit tinitus at most degrading level

Have to agree with DN30 and timalloy regarding the refugee crisis P.L. should not be using this as a means to make himself look good in fact I believe he should be doing much much more football has the power to do a great deal of good.not to make yourself look good but because it's the right thing to do.I am sure many posters on this site if they traced their family tree would find that their ancestors had to leave there own country for much the same reasons.Strongly feel celtic as a club should take the lead in pledging all the help it can,I would like them to begin by donating the proceeds of the dundee game to the varies charities.I would also like them to drop the prices so that the match his a sell out,there are a lot of slogans around football clubs,A club like no other,let's show the world,it's not a slogan,more it is a FACT.

Scott Brown has started to loose his legs, just watched some of the game back and he is slow getting around the pitch. That was his main strength.

Evening Ed , It has been suggested that Scott Brown is carrying a knock / injury for a month or so now

Do you know if this is the case if so what thanks

{Ed007's Note - I don't know anything but I've heard the same rumours mate and let's be honest it wouldn't be a surprise would it? Although I think a lot of what's been said about SB in the last week or so is just a knee jerk OTT reaction to a couple of poor games he hasn't looked his usual self at all.}

08 Sep 2015 13:17:20
Thanks Ed, yeah that's what I think mate when he is coming off the field he has the look of a man who cannot shake a niggle so to speak & looks pre-occupied with it

To the people in the camp who are looking to move him should get a grip! Do they think they are going to replace him "like for like" or another "rough diamond" who has played less than 50! games in their career?
