Its about time John Hartson winds his neck in. What good has comments made today been? Always got too much to say and half the time its utter nonsense!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I can see all the comments but what is it he's said?

Agree0 Disagree1

I found it, I'm going to file it in my *high drama* category

Agree1 Disagree1

Mrs E he was basically slating Delia saying he doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion no matter what anyone view on the situation is. I just think it's unprofessional for someone with a big connection with club, to come out and publically slate anyone in the manner hartson has done.

Agree2 Disagree0

This is the problem these days, they all have their books and newspaper column to sell.

As you said its not so much the opinion itself, its the way its said etc.

Agree2 Disagree0

Your right mrs e certainly looks like its a case of selling his column.

To be honest I never usually read his columns and after the game last season where he was commenting with packy bonnar, I geniunely can't listen to him. Its just rants and I can't understand why he is involved in this sector.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sutton and hartson have a lot to say now Lennon has left, were they scared to criticise lennon

Agree2 Disagree0

Well these two were part of the Lenny brigade, pair of them do my head in. Both of them may owe Celtic for giving them a good career but IMO Henrik made them look better than what they were

They should look at Henrik as an example, nothing to say about Celtic regardless of what is happening.

Actually - I like Chris Sutton so maybe a bit harsh but Hartson was a thug. can't wait to see how he gets on with his first managerial job

Agree1 Disagree0

Since when do people actually care what Frank has to say? He is another one that blindly thinks the Lennon reign was fantastic.

I am crossing my fingers, toes and even my eyes in hope that RD gives us a treble this year.

The more I hear people slag him, the more I hope he succeeds.

Agree2 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more Kev, Henrik is a class act on & off of the pitch. The only person who was ever a laughing stock is John Hartson! Who is he to lecture RD about anything, fair enough he was a decent striker in his time but the guy's personal life was a train wreck at times (all of his own making). Getting a bit sick & tired of people queing up to kick Ronny before he's had any real time to make the wholesale changes badly needed at this club! Yes the results & performances are far from ideal but give the guy time FFS!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Hartson is trying to be Hugh Keevins apprentice lol

With regards t john harstons article today i'm wondering if he's tryna say he's wanting to become celtic boss!?. i'd personally would still give Ronnie till the end of the season. most people fink its atrocious that we've lost 2 league games already but were only 6 points behind with a game in hand and we can still go top within the next few weeks albeit results go our way and are sitting pretty in the europa and still in 2 cups. if u fink about it we're actually ok. the only downside is the performances and sticking with certain players who aren't good enuf and should be benched so they can fight ther way bk into the team because it looks lyk most are just tkn a backseat finkn we're still gna win t league ne wiys!. ayee suree but us fans want value for money and want t be excited headn t parkheed or watchn oan t tele. this is only my 1 opinion on t team and seems to be the same as most hoops fans! Aw we can do is still have faith bcos WE R CELTIC!

Nothing Hartson said was out of order. Losing to Hamilton might be fine with RD, but it's not fine at all. Progress he says, pull the other one. It's just a good job the EL results have been decent so far. Hartson's comments about RKs remarks too are brill. If asking you to be Celtic boss isn't enough for him, then not taking that option is fine by me.

If hartson was right 2 bash deila then why didn't he do the same when lennon got us pumped off braga, utrecht and sion in his 1st season as manager or after morton and aberdeen put us out the domestic cups at home last season?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd put Hartson's opinion in the same bucket as Andy Walker's or Craig Burley's. I lost all respect for him after the way he badmouthed the support over the Dundee 'riot' that never happened.}

I haven't seen Hartson's latest comments but the fact he's "writing" for the S*n says it all!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - (clap)

Can't disagree with anything Hartsons said, although I am willing to give RD a bit more time to prove he is up to the job, but I find it amusing it that some people seem to think that just because RD is not NL, it means that RD is the most gifted, forward thinking, genius of a football manager ever, for all NLs faults, I can't remember ever watching such dire performances when he was manager, RD has to start managing, I hope he does it soon.

Agree0 Disagree1

Hartsons writes for the papers and other media. No publicity is bad publicity. If you can stir up some controversy it keeps you in a job. Aside from football, freedom of the press brings responsibility. The more publicity you give something (Isis) the worse it gets. Hartson is no exception. it's his job

Agree1 Disagree0

So many ex Celtic players write for the Scottish media and seem to write exactly the media's agenda .

I cannot understand what Roy Keane is getting out of it by saying he was offered job and not Delia. He had the chance as a supposed "Celtic" man to put his stamp on the club he says he supports but walked away.
We fans can only summise that either the salary was not big enough (for a millionaire that should not be an issue) or that the transfer budget was not enough for him to make a difference.
I am not usually in favour of these international breaks, but maybe after this fixture break, all the team, supporters can regroup and start afresh.
Delia is the Celtic manager and all us fans, whatever our own personal views of him are, must get behind him and the team for the greater good of Celtic Football Club hail hail

Totally agree with you Timalloy . I for one cannot stand Roy Keane never age and never will we all know he's egotistical and for me a down right arrogant person , who should never have even worn the hoops , just another one of the ("hangers on ", oh I love celtic always wanted to play there from a child " you know the type like his pal Robbie as well never willing to come when at there relatively best playing period though ) he should shut up and leave celtics business to celtic and as I've said in other posts its soul destroying watching the tic at the moment and in heat of the moment said I wished Ronnie would just go but after settling down yeah we need to pull , together here and start to progress

Couldn't be anything to do with his new book could it?

Ed, there's an error when you try to vote on the poll of the day

:(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - Thanks, it's fixed now.

Poll is Should Celtic's board act now to get rid of the troublemakers?

08 Oct 2014 12:07:43
ED033 I had same problem earlier trying to vote but as you have confirmed it is working fine now.
ED001 you asked me to check if it recorded name of person suggesting the poll everything is working fine and my name is up in lights lol
So far most people want the board to back Delia and any dissenters brought to book which is the best thing for the club as a whole.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - thank you.}

I have been thinking over the past few games that Deila has lost part of the dressing room is there actually any substance to these rumour's I'm seeing on this site regarding the dissenter's?

Agree1 Disagree0

I heard Micheal Stewart say on the radio last week that when he was working with Charlie Mulgrew on a Sky (Celtic) game, big Charlie was raving about Deila's training & methods & basically singing the managers praises (off air as well as on). Hardly sounds as if he's lost the whole dressing room, I'd view these rumours with a certain degree of suspicion!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's only Deila' s obstinacy that is preventing him from change which is holding him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You could say about some of the players.}

That could be right Ed007, maybe we need the coach that Deila took from Norway and the captain Brown to get the middle ground .

Ed001 I was just thinking what you were saying about workplaces and Celtic.

In my job I go to Service Improvement Groups and can be quite vocal if I'm I don't think a procedure is working or beneficial. Anyway if I do suggest changes and my boss agrees that I can implement the changes, one of the condidtions is always that I cannot let the changes or when i'm going about making the changes affect overall performance as where I work we have a service to deliver.

My point being - changes were necessary at Celtic for us to consistently compete in the Champions League (that also needs a level of investment to) but what changes is Ronny making that we cannot beat 2 teams just promoted from the Scottish Championship and why can he not still get a decent level of performance from the players while he goes about making 'changes'.

If I was his boss, I'd find this unacceptable.

We're assuming his preferred formation 4-3-3/4-3-2-1 is going to be an improvement - what if its not? We played 4-3-3 v Aberdeen at Celtic Park in the Scottish Cup last season and were destroyed in midfield, over run! So why does Ronny think this will take us forward?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - the formation should be all about what is best for the players.}

100% agree!

For me Ronny is doing the equivalent of playing Ronaldo and Messi at Centre Back.

Agree0 Disagree2

Posed the question after RDs first few friendlies: does a new manager pick a system to suit his players, or players to suit a system? For me, you start with the prior and after time change to the latter. Sadly, after just one window (a poor one at that) RD has found himself in no mans land straddling the two idiologies.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think you have make gradual changes particularly when the team have been Champions for the past 3 seasons, you have to use the players strengths.

To be honest, Ronny isn’t trying to do anything with formations we haven’t seen already. There’s only so many variations you can make really, its the ability to make changes when we are not winning most fans look for.

I have brought up Liam Henderson on here a couple of times and can't understand after the start he made last year why he isn't even on the bench when the options to play beside Broony are at the very best just Average. We were told Ronny is a believer in giving youth a chance and he along with o'connel is the best we have coming through. I was wondering if maybe his form in the development squad had dropped or he was getting a bit big for his boots but I have just read he scored and played well for Scotland under 19s and has been scoring and playing well in recent weeks in the development squad. So what is it? I wouldn't mind giving him more time to develope if it wasn't for the fact we are so inadequate in the center midfield area, he insists on playing that headless chicken Yohanson who hasn't got an ounce of Hendersons ability. Come on Ronny give the boy a chance! Markiebhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mark this is just another example of what Ronny says and what he actually does being the exact opposite!

Johansen was one of Ronny's players at Stromsgodset and could be the reason he plays him.

Agree1 Disagree0

I watched the development match last week against Partick Thistle. I was totally underwhelmed by the talent in the Celtic team. I'm hoping I just caught them on a bad day but Henderson, a player I've admired in the past countinously lost possession and didn't stand out whatsoever. For me guys like Twardzik and Fisher who also played will never be first team players and there wasn't a lot else caught the eye. The wee bhoy McMullen looks like he has a bit to offer in fairness. As I say maybe I just caught them on an average night
