victor wanyama joining rangers after snubbing the celtic. Good mates with him and he told me that kenny miller told advised him to go to rangers

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Why would kenny miller be in a position to advise wanyama (oh & by the way he actually signed for celtic) just so you can crawl back under your stone, sleep tight

Ross hall may be used this once, i would imagine our senior medical staff will be down under- meaning someone else has to carry out the examination, again though, normally the medicals are done at lennoxtown. Also, i am not sure how reliable bbc are tbh. Did they not report the imminent signing of conway, danns etc.
Not everything printed is true- just ask ozbhoy lol

starting to get a a wee bit concerned with the lack off movement regarding new signings, a goalkeeper is a must yet we still chase forster when it looks like newcastle are determined to keep him, the only decent players we are being linked with are probably out of our reach bellamy, bothroyd, long etc, dont seem to be linked with any realistic targets of late except the guy from bari whos not any better than we, ve got.basherbhoy

Hi ed. I just been reading on this site about Craig Bellamy and I really wouldn't be over the moon if he signs. Why should he be let to train with Cardiff to be close to family when the rest of the guys have to be away from theirs like izzy. I would rather see Robbie keane come to us has alot better goal difference I think he has a 123 goals in primership and 51 international. Although I would rather see the money spend on a younger striker than either of them but if I had to pick it would be keane. What dose rest of my fellow celts think? Who would you pick and why?Bigirishmac

Believable2 Unbelievable0

U wont pick any of them coz neither are coming

Just to confirm something Wanyama is off to Ross Hall Hospital to do his medical was a debate on here the other day saying Celtic players don't have medicals there anymore they're wrong. Source BBC.

The deck for wanyama is clever, he has bags of potential. But also in marketing terms, in kenya a team has started its first professional season(has celtic in the name), this club was founded on the same principles as our club to feed the poor in the surrounding area. Also a huge shopping mall is opened or opening in the area too. Its name? Celtic park. 100percent true.
Jamie mac

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Jamie, not true, Hibernian were founded on that basis, which caused them to fold 1 year after Celtic were formed, Hibs gave to charity, Celtic stole their players, all within Celtic's first few years of existance. hearts and celtic tried to deny hibs back to the scottish league once they had reformed a year or so later.....GGTTH and if you know you're history....

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic was largely inspired by hibernians who were formed out of the immigrant irish population.
hibernians ceased to operate in 1891.
philip farmer played a major role in reforming the club to hibernian f.c. in 1892 and the club lost it s irish roots, so if you know you re history celtic have the same principles as hibernians and not the hibernian we know today.

yeah made up the liam miller one lads, thought it would have made the 'dodgy' page', was i sdyney last weekend, kelvin wilson looked the part. Headin for melbourne next wed should be good nite, celtic end sold out only 35,000 capacity, wats the story wit a keeper perhaps his gona give zulaska a chance until the end of aug to stake a claim, nothing to do in the central coast game, dodgy start last season but he's still a good keeper, more settled team around him this year. wat you think?

Afternoon Ed007 Heard that Bari have now upped their valuation to £4m thought there was a buy out clause of £1.5m if relegated? Also does any one else think that our Australian tour is hindering our transfer dealings, we seem to be dithering where other clubs are acting. Aston Villa now look likely to sign Given. But Given, Bellamy, Keane etcc are all millionaires if they wanted to come to club they keep saying they love they would come on reduced wages lets face it £25k a week wont exactly bankrupt these greedy millionaires, lets start concentrating on players who WANT to pull on HOOPS. Celtic signing Victor Wanyama has won his appeal for the Scottish Football Association to endorse a certificate of sponsorship for his UK work permit.

The midfielder s initial application was automatically rejected by the governing body because he failed to meet the required criteria, which stipulates a player must have played in 75 per cent of a FIFA top 70 ranked nation s competitive games over the past two years.

Wanyama satisfied the requirement in terms of his appearances but Kenya s placing at 130 in the world prevented him from gaining the necessary approval from the SFA at the first attempt.

Celtic though successfully argued the case that the 20-year-old will make a significant impact on the Scottish game, when representatives went before an independent panel at Hampden Park on Friday morning.

Wanyama is now undergoing a medical at Ross Hall, having flown into Scotland on Thursday night.

The UK Border Agency will have the final say on whether Wanyama's work permit will be granted before his move is finalised. But, having gained a certificate of sponsorship from the SFA, the process should be a formality.

Another good bit of business from Mr Lennon and Co. Young lad with plenty of potential and a possible big profit when he makes the move to the crazy money of the EPL.

The Home Office will have the final say on whether Wanyama's work permit will be granted before his move is finalised. But, having gained a certificate of sponsorship from the SFA, the process should be a formality.

Craig Bellamy the saviour of Sierra Leone how much of this is actually true. Reading between the line I would say he is trying to get City to buy out the rest of his contract then he can sign for whoever he wants with a nice fat signing on fee. Neil stay away from him you done well last season in the transfer market bringing in young talent keep going down the same road we dont need a gready invalid with glass knees use the money on a perm deal that could make us money in the future.

Celtic target Craig Bellamy has revealed that he won t lower his wage demands to leave Manchester City because he supports a charity in Sierra Leone that needs his money.

The striker is out of favour at Eastlands and spent last season on loan at hometown club Cardiff City. The Championship side, Celtic and English sides are all keen on landing the player but his reported £80,000 per week wages are a barrier.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has admitted that the player s demands make his chances of bringing the player back to Parkhead remote . Bellamy s insistence that he wants to keep his current remuneration will increase the possibility that he will remain on the books at Manchester City but could be loaned out again.

Asked by The Telegraph if he would consider a wage cut to move elsewhere, Bellamy insisted that was not an option.

No chance, that is impossible, he told the newspaper.

I have my own academy [in Sierra Leone] where I have to take care of 13 children, day in, day out. My wages are more important to them, than they are for me.

Bellamy also said that a loan deal was not appealing to him or City but suggested that City would pay out the remainder of his contract, in which case Cardiff City would be his first choice destination.

To be honest, I do not want to go on loan again, because where would I go after that? he said. After another loan period my options would be probably reduced.

A permanent move would be the best, but it would have to be somewhere wealthy, so I can guarantee future earnings for my charity, but that would be difficult with my current wages.

If they [City] pay me my final year of my wages, then I m sure I can go wherever I want. In that case, my first option would be Cardiff, to give it another go. But is has to be feasible, the financial health of the club is the most important thing.

Genuinely can't understand why some Celtic fans come on this site & talk so much balls. We won't sign Given, Keane & I very much doubt the Bellamy deals gonna go through.Pretty sure Jay Bothroyd deals off too.On the more realistic side of things, Erik Husseklepp looks a real possibilty, as does the Musona deal, providing Hoffenheim pull out.None of the 'keepers we've been linked bar Given really interest me, so I don't know what's going on there.I know it's boring, but it's better than the usual crap we're hearing
