Couldn't believe the newspapers saying Nimmo-smith has 18 punishments for old rangers for 11 years of not registering players properly. basically the SPL has 18 punishments but the one for incorrect registration of a player is 3-0 in every game to the opposition. Given there's about 60 cases over 11 years. The correct punishment in each case is required by the regulations. This results in withdrawing titles.

After title stripping to set the record correct (cheating doesn't pay) a suitable punitive and exemplary fine should be applied to new rangers.

This will all probably happen an hour before the CL game on Tuesday just to get rangers in the news.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I hope i'm wrong but I smell something funny here. What I expect, IF, found guilty is a fine for oldco to be paid from the monies the SFA are holding. As far as I remember they have last seasons prize money and 800k from Southampton. If this happens with no stripping of titles it will be clear that Green has had a get out of jail free card to walk away from unprecedented levels of debt. There is also the question of the prize money gained over this period of time and the fact they also earned cash from European participation. Not to mention the fact they would have almost certainly have been relegated. This is why I say IF, found guilty. I get the feeling that this can of worms might have to stay shut. . green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree1

I don't believe for one minute title's will be stripped.
Tambhoy

Agree2 Disagree1

I am the same Tam. Just canny see it, however just it is. Although they are in trubl. NOTHING in this country has changed!

Agree2 Disagree1

There will be no title stripping as in numerous cases and incidents for over a century has proven; they are protected by a ubiquitous secret benefactor.
Sheik Ma Honn.

JJ

Agree1 Disagree0

The consequences of the title stripping is neither here nor there. Justice must prevail or else cheating pays and you denied your opposition honest wins.
Any prizemonies or euro monies to be returned would be the burden of oldco in liquidation.

Agree1 Disagree0

The correct and only punishment for fielding a wrongly registered player is 3-0 awarded to the opposition.
No other punishment is appropriate. This punishment is generic throughout FIFA and UEFA.

Agree2 Disagree0

All those tour de France titles cheated over all those years. Now withdrawn.
All those European, commonwealth and Olympic titles stripped from wrongdoers over many many decades. It's how we keep our sports clean and with integrity.
It's how we lead youngsters by example. The next generation cannot grow up thinking its ok to cheat as there's no real risk in getting caught. Look at rangers nothing happens.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think the general concensus is no title stripping which is wrong. The players were in effect not eligible as the club had signed them illegally, and therefore they cheated regardless of the result. It should at least be recorded as "disputed title" beside those which are identified if nothing else. Usual tactics though. Let everything lie and then when memories have faded a wee bit then you act. The SFA have not got the minerals to do the right thing.

Agree2 Disagree0

Can you imagine the riots if the the rangers wrre actually brought to justice for all its past crimes. I mean their allready screaming blue murder, using the hatred and bigotory card at every turn they honestly believe there the victoms of a great injustice here, they've been dealt with very favourably indeed at every turn we can all see this to be true except them i'll be shocked if the nimmo case comes up with any meaningful punishment but that won't stop raa peepell shouting about hatred and bile quite ironic (moronic) considering theese words are the foundations of thier "culture"
thommyj

Agree1 Disagree0

Ive always thought uefa and fifa must have had some input into this. would they allow a precedent to be set for clubs caught cheating elsewhere in the world. The authorities here may "have to be seen" to act properly as uefa and fifa may be hovering ready to impose sanctions for them if they don't! andybhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

I thought 18 was a funny number. its ridiculous. who thinks up 18 punishments for an offence? why stop at 18? what happened when they were at 12 say? did somebody say 'look we need six more '? of course not. I think the truth here is there are 18 potential offences and our media cuties have spun it into this.

great news juve training at murray park surely they can't get as much injurys as the people have there over the years, might be doing us a favour lolol hail hail

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Mistake no 1 juve.

Agree2 Disagree1

Does CG think he is giving Juve some kind of advantage? Is he trying to contribute to damaging Scottish football and lowering our coefficient? Green is bad for Scotland and bad for football.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Feb 2013 20:09:25
Ha ha ha, some things never change"hay why don't we let Juv train at minty park. that will annoy t'boogers across the city" lol, tactics used by sir walt of the cardigan.
As far as I can see its yet another pop at us for being where we are and the usual cheap shots engineered by a buffoon who is trying to undermine our day in Europe. pure jealousy

Green Judge

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Could you imagine the outcrying in the red tops if the roles were reversed and Peter Lawell was pimping his training facilities to the opponents of the champions of his own country. Green really must be desperate for money. . DH

Agree4 Disagree1

I seem to remember Murray doing this before. They fly in Monday, train at celtic park and the game is Tuesday. When will they need it? Barca stayed in the Radisson and managed okay. . green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree1

Souness did it when visiting with Blackburn and we pumped them.

Agree1 Disagree0

Barcelona are not cheats so did not avail themselves. Juve have a record of cheating similar to the club offering assistance. Coincidence? I think not. Chuckie looking for some help methinks. TinyTim

Juventus have taken up Rangers offer of the use of they're training facilities ahead of our Champions League tie on Tuesday.

As if Celtic, the fans or the players needed anymore motivation to win this game. Yasss

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I only hope the Rankers coaches train them how to beat us. That'll be a huge laugh.

Agree3 Disagree1

THE rangers international NPA (never played abroad) first team acting as ball boys and cleaning the boots. juventus co-operating as part of their charity foundation to bring football to the needy. ally thinks the experience will prepare them for qp as colours are the same. ally likes colours. ally loves colours. sometimes ally draws colours.

Agree3 Disagree1

This is great news. when juve see their players they'll get real complacent. kal feckin naismith. as for the italians, what more incentive did they need to give? bring on the cheating bazztards. straight from cheat central.

Agree1 Disagree1

They've done these sort of things before. giving dossiers on celtic to european opponents etc. and they complain about being slagged off for going bankrupt? the team announcer should announce juventus as 'straight from murray park'. don't you love the fact it's still called murray park BTW?

Agree1 Disagree0

Mate that would be fantastic if they could get the announcer to say that just after the champions league theme finished. And straight from murray park, our opponents tonight Juventus. BOOOOO BOOO YA SHOWER OF F@CKIN A@SEHOLES BOOOOOOOOOOOO

crowd would be booing the house down for every touch they had in the first 10-15 mins. Proper partisan crowd to get them nice and shaky would do us down to a tee.

To be fair, The Rangers and Juve are a match made in heaven given their previous years of cheating and ref back handers.

rumour don't know if its true that sevco have offered juve theyr facilities while theyr in scotland wot a sad sad bunch of wee boys they really are if its true then again its only champions league team 2 ever be near that training ground for years to come

gunniebhoy

Believable4 Unbelievable2

End of day they going to train
Somewhere mate not worth getting upset about just a another cheap dig by green to pander to the fools

Agree3 Disagree1

Just another way to stay in the lime light of Celtics shadow so they get to be mentioned when the world is talking about Celtic. And let's face it might be good luck for we all know nothing good has come out of that park lol. C-Bhoy

Agree5 Disagree2

08 Feb 2013 17:56:26
Chicco the Clown is at it again trying to have a dig at Celtic while telling more lies.

"You only have to look at Celtic's league attendance, " he added. "The most successful team in Scotland today is Celtic, yet for a home league game they can't get half of what we are getting.

It's now obvious the man cannot do simple arithmatic, as the official figures show:-

Based on official figures published by both clubs throughout 2012/13, Celtic's average home crowd for league matches this season stands at 46, 105, a total of 736 spectators less than Rangers have recorded.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Still waiting for chuckie not to mention Celtic in a statement. He is now the biggest laughing stock around. . . green jhedi

Agree6 Disagree1

He should have wrote we don't earn half the money celtic make

Agree6 Disagree0

The thing that annoys me most of his rantings especially about attendances, is why don't press and the like not print the obvious answers as above and shut the cretin up? Jj

Agree4 Disagree0

Since he thinks this let's see the books at the end of the season that he wants to compare. What about the free tickets they need to give away so people actually go since they don't want to pay what 5$ to see that mob lol. And with ally in place and how the fans are waking up to see how bad they are let's see if he can still use that argument in the weeks to come

Agree5 Disagree0

Remember chuckle you are still in debt to Celtic that's all I have to say before you go gobbing about attendances

Agree3 Disagree0

What the Zombie's don't understand is Imagine if Celtic were in there situation, we'd be a 60,000 sellout week in week out. They're desperate for the gate money and the fans want to pretend to be Ranger's, so they're going in Numbers. What's Important, not matter what they say Every Single Zombie is hurting and I bet they're Embarrassed to admit they're ex Ranger's, now The Ranger's 5088 fans. Call me sick but I get extreme satisfaction from seeing these animals hurting. FifeBhoy1888

He has to try and keep the 'old firm' tag going even though their only local rivalry is with qp. something not quite right about charlie. these outbursts of his, when collected together are incoherent and tiresome.

ED007/Green Jhedi I had to laugh at Green's £100m "media platform" (hope it is reinforced to hold Jabba's weight lol) and his "biggest IPO" also.
But at least he told the truth about "hearing CL theme tune at Ibrox (well Murray Park to be precise")
Apparently they are allowing Juventus to train there before Celtic game. Jabba will be playing the CL theme tune off his Iphone over the tannoy at MP lol Timalloy

PS speaking of Jabba, did you all hear that Greig's have installed more security after a series of break ins at their food outlets.
Sally, Jabba you have been warned.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Wait till Juve try and leave, chuckie will be at the gates with a bill for them! Another sad, desperate attempt to pretend they are in with the big boys. . . green jhedi

I see Juventus are going to be training at Murray Park. . . surely another 1ST for our Rangers friends. . a 4th tier team hosting champions league team. . well it IS the closest they will get to European footie for years to come! Lol

Markiebhoy

Believable6 Unbelievable1

And good footy for years to come for juve practice will be the best they would see for years, they prob said for you to train here you have to train our manager who knows nothing about tactics lol

Disunity or follow on?

Ross Blyth was spotted in the HOME END at Tannadice, despite thousands of fellow Bears agreeing to snub Saturday's Scottish Cup tie.
He quit last night as vice-president of the Rangers Supporters' Assembly for defying the ban backed by Ibrox supremo Charles Green.
Last night a source said: "He's gone behind everyone's back. It makes a laughing stock of the whole boycott. "

Believable9 Unbelievable1

I'm sick of hearing about Rangers or the Rangers or whoever they are. I couldn't care less. I bear them no malice ( the decent majority that is) and I can respect the way they have stuck by their team, is it the fans fault that they have been run by a succession of cowboys? -remember the biscuit tin days at parkhead. I live in Hong Kong and take no pleasure in seeing Rangers (and hence Scottish football) being ridiculed daily in the press. I'm sad to say their troubles look like to be far from over so the panto will continue. Oh for the days of a good old fashioned old firm match when it was all about football not finance. HH joe

Agree6 Disagree14

Finally! Well said Joe

Agree1 Disagree9

@joe; Like you I could not care less about the bootleg blues. I also bear the decent fans no malice and, fair play to them, the support has stuck with them. Where we fall out is the ridicule being heaped on them at the moment. ou mention the biscuit tin days at Celtic, well I assume you remember the daily humiliation we suffered? You will remember mccoists "cant say i'm not enjoying it" statement when we were perilously close to going under? You also seem to miss the point that their humiliation is, by and large, caused by themselves. They have a CEO who just finds it impossible not to give outrageous statements with no substance, a media director slagging off the press, who he worked for for over 25 years, and was the worst kind of sensationalist reporter. Lastly joe, there will be no more "old firm" games as one of them went bust and over here we do not use that phrase any more. . . . green jhedi

Agree14 Disagree1

And here's me thinking I had the right to use any phrase I wanted? It will always be the old firm to me. And as for them taking the piss, of course I remember it, but I like to think i'm A) bigger than that and if not B) know when to stop. and please don't come back and question my Celtic credentials - I have done work at cost for the club that cost me a good few bob and I was a season ticket holder for years before moving for business. You have your opinion and I will have mine. Glasgow and Scotland don't need any more sectarian nonsense, we all have suffered and continue to suffer by it. I for one am happy to bury the hatchet. All the best. Joe. Ps. kung hei fat choi! It's the Chinese New Year next week - year of the Snake lol I give it a day before the jokes come out

Agree3 Disagree7

I’ve read both your opinions Joe and can respect them I suppose…

However, I can’t seem to help but watch with amusement. If Rangers do not want to be ridiculed then they need to start and build bridges and just get on with their football business but alas, they don’t.

A prime example was the very day Celtic announced their new shirt sponsorship and it took Charles Green an hour maximum to come out with one of his cringeworthy attention seeking statements.

Whilst he wants attention and doesn’t care how he gets it, I will continue to watch with amusement ~ Mrs E

Agree8 Disagree1

@joe;And why would I question your Celtic credentials? With regards to your old firm argument, you are in the minority there I would think. Every Celt I know has, for years, hated being lumped in with Sevco. Sectarian nonsense? So having a laugh at your main rivals is sectarian? I also hold no place for sectarianism but laughing at Sevco cannot ever be classed as such. . . green jhedi

Agree9 Disagree0

@3 so you'll have no interest in going to Ibrox in the numbers that your fans used to as we are the bootleg blues or not part of the old firm. From a decent Celtic supporter @ Joe, to you. . . . PB

Agree5 Disagree3

The lack of humility shown by that club and its supporters in incredible. Wishing bad fortune on the other SPL clubs, blaming everyone else and bully boy tactics is all we have heard from Ibrox and they're deluded support and chairman. Can't expect everyone to have the same attitude as you, refreshing as it is. They are a bad lot mate. Spiteful, angry, petty and shameless.

I'm with you on the old firm debate though Joe. Even though they're not the same club, when they play us again I will still call it the old firm. Can't say i'm not missing that feeling of an upcoming game against them. This is the first time in 122 years there hasn't been a Celtic v Rangers game.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ridiculed in the press? Who? What? Were? Not in this country Joe. Glasgow rangers are dead the old firm is dead I thought you would have been able to smell the stench where you are? The lies & attempts to tarnish Celtic or align themselves with us really is pathetic going on a year now we have had to put up with this pantomime. Ra peepo don't care about Scottish football & have shown this consistently they & they alone are killing the game in this country. Once you went on about doing work for Celtic at cost after labeling folk bigots I thought what a w*nker you are another person just like Chico green only here 5 mins & labelling folk. If refusing to believe the lies cheating & spin from the deady bears & the lowlife msm in this country whilst they kill our game is in some way being a bigot? Then I am guilty as charged joe. AbS

Agree1 Disagree1

@PB; What a stupid question! You are not part of the old firm and you are not the original rangers. Why would I not go to Piebrox? I go to see Celtic, home and away, who we are playing is of secondary importance to me. What a stupid, pointless post that makes no sense. I suspect like the majority of your clubs fans you seem to think you are more important than your club actually is. . . . green jhedi

Agree6 Disagree0

Rangers are not old. They're brand new.
This club was founded 2012. It's impossible to be old firm.

Agree6 Disagree0

'@10 I am a fan of football and support Rangers, I will wish all my friends who support Celtic the best of luck for the upcoming match for the good of Scottish football. As for thinking my club is more import than it actually is the same could be said of you sir with your constant bile and negativity. The original poster, Joe has said it as it actually is and I think the majority of football supporters feel the same and miss a match against our nearest rivals.
But not to end on a negative note, good luck for your last 16 against Juventus. PB {Ed007's Note - I think you will find that your CFC supporting friends, and supporters of other clubs will say something very different when you are not there PB. If anything they will be pitying you and laughing about it.
The vast majority of fans I know are absolutely delighted by what happened to Rangers and are enjoying watching the shambles The Rangers have become in less than a year, that includes supporters of CFC, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Dundee, Motherwell, Accies, Albion Rovers, St Mirren etc etc. The only people who miss Rangers are The Rangers fans.
Personally I don't miss them, the comedy your new club and it's supporters (including yourself) provides me with more than makes up for the loss of any match for entertainment.
Last Saturday at Tannadice was verging on almost Monty Python levels of comedy to me. Even the VP of the RSA defied the boycott, oh dear!
Why is everything that is said against either of your clubs classed as 'bile'?}

Agree2 Disagree4

Your having a joke pal. rangers borrow money for years they couldn't and had no intentions of paying back walked away and ripped their creditors off of millions started a fresh debt free claiming to be the richest club in scotland now the first bill that pops through they can't pay it but yet again they blame everyone else the media the celtic fans and claim their the victims of a witch hunt rangers should never be allowed to forget what they did they are a bunch of crooks and everyone should be watching them like a hawk turn your back for one min and their at it again they deserve nothing and rightly so

Agree5 Disagree0

I'm with you Joe. . to a point.
Like you say, just because they wished us bad times in the past doesn't mean we have to sink to their level and reciprocate.
But I also agree with green jhedi. . a laugh and a chuckle at Chuckie is not sectarian. And they are the "enemy" after all.
Am I loving their misfortune? Yes, absolutely.
If it were up to me would I have them back in the SPL tomorrow? Yes, definitely.
I miss the pain of Old firm defeats and the euphoric pleasure of Old Firm victories.
They have brought their misfortune to their own door but the majority of their fans are decent folk who just happen to be passionate about a football team. I only have to look in a mirror to know what a passionate fan looks like.

Hail Hail
ChrisBhoy

Agree2 Disagree5

@PB @12; Would you like to explain my "constant bile" and "negativity"? I can honestly say I don't miss your club or your new club at all. Sadly for you and Mr Green we are the most important club in the country at the moment, a CL last 16 against Juve will testify to that. The only people mocking your club constantly are your poor management team and a CEO who cannot keep his mouth closed without mentioning Celtic. You really think "joe" speaks for the majority of Celtic fans? He does not mate, trust me. . . . green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree3

So now I'm a wa@ker because I have a view? Ffs the only reason I mentioned doing work for the club, my fn club, was the last time on here I took the middle road on here I was peltered as a bear in disguise. Fans like me have done work, or had out companies do work for years behind the scenes - that's what's help keep Celtic special. I'm proud at having done my bit when times were hard and not so hard, so if I want to mention it I will. If I had of mentioned shares, corporate hospitality et al you might have had a point. Seriously some people on this site need to have a long hard look in the mirror - I can remember the hassle I used to get 'what team do you support ' as a wain, the police patrolling between my school and the local prodestant school at lunchtimes etc. etc. Was it right no. Would I do it back to others no. In fact that's in no small way has contributed to why my son won't be brought up in the country I love and if people in Scotland, especially Glasgow don't learn to let bygones be bygones and move on the cycle will only continue. Our families deserve better. Live and let live IS the Celtic way. HH. joe

Agree2 Disagree0

It looks to me that if someone posts an opinion that isn't liked or not with the flow, they're now being accused of being a zombie.

Lets cut that out, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and if they're pretending to be a tim, then so what it might even clense them a bit. jj

Agree3 Disagree0

It may be the celtic way joe, but it certainly isn't their way. sentiment like yours is seen as a weakness to be exploited. their smears on jock stein will never be forgiven. find one who didn't chant along to that. many happy returns of valentines day for them. I don't care if we never play them again. never liked them you see. you have to imagine the boot on the other foot. david murray still in charge at ibrox, celtic bankrupt, what the ya think eh? celtic are doing just fine and playing a match on tuesday worth 20 against them.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are some people here who honestly believe their opinion is more valid than the opinions of others. Time for a chill pill for some folk. Joe you made a valid comment to begin with and others showed their lack of class in their replies. Shame on them.

Lets put two and two together and see what we get. .
Octopus/ Ticketus are a Singapore entity owed over £26m by old Rangers.
Green is a front man for SE Asian business consortium (Singapore?).
Green owes Orlit a Singapore business with a DIRECTOR Green up until May 2012 was a fellow Director with.

BLUE PITCH HOLDINGS, Singapore businessmen, provided the initial investment Orlit found to buy the Assets.

BLUE PITCH 'HOLDINGS' for me obviously own the Assets, MP and Ibrox. And have their name on the title deeds. Their £5.5m bought them. They obviously got the assets in the sale, already hived off the Albion and got additional shares in 'the operating company' as original investors.

The Singaporeans put Green in, he is fronting for them. He worked for them up until May 2012. They want their £26m back and own the assets. They will extract millions over years years by various methods including invoicing. Millions won't be invested in players its about getting money out.

Whyte set up "The good Ole Switcheroo" he's famous for, the only fly in the ointment was the American's fly in the ointment high bid, hence the concerted effort to scare him off off. So the Singaporeans could buy the assets even cheaper, after all they're owed £26.4m why pay over £8.9m when you get it from D&P for £5.5m.

Whyte wheels the Singapore frontman Green into D&P at a Singaporean Chinese resturaunt in London.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

Arif Naqvi was linked to blue pitch holdings and Green said he was his old friend! But this surely is a red herring. Naqvi's pedigree makes him surely just a legendary name Green heard of in the Middle East?

Agree2 Disagree0

Why would you say £40billion Arif Naqvi was in, and he was your friend, then later say he was out?
1. It's true (from Pinochio?)
2. To get other Asians involved who think well if Arif's in I'm in, I might even get to meet him and do more business together. Then when Chico says he's out the other investors say "I've been duped" and jump ship.
3. How can Naqvi say he's in, knowing its Glasgow, then say he's out as it conflicts with his business geographical investment areas? Doesn't stack up.
