As a Thitle fan who dipped the home game and went to Ibrox on a freebie, it looked to me that it was Aluko who made contact with Mad Mental ,took a step and thought about it then went down and let the ref make the decision,and the management and fans assisted in the process.I was at the Dunfermline and Atletico games at Celtic Park on the same basis so no axe to grind).

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Cany believe you patched your own team to go watch any other team freebie or not, absolute shambles

What!!?? Ed can you interpret above comment cos i've no idea what they're talkin about except something about their dodgy pen......Stevie {Ed007's Note - Not got a clue Stevie. I get the penalty thing but I don't know what it has to do with the Dunfermline and Atletico games?}

Hearing rumours that the Rangers game at the weekend could be cancelled as the wind is so high there are fears that it might keep their players upright for the 90 minutes....

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Hello Ed and all . not been around for a while, boy has there been much fun the last few weeks!

So let me get this straight, that wasnt a dive by aluko? there was contact, no matter how minimal meaning it must have been a penalty... riggghhhttt! so on that logic, there should be penalties awarded from every single corner, cross into the box, every fair challenge where the defender may go shoulder to shoulder with an attacker. Basically every time there is some form of bodily contact in the box. I see.

So can anyone tell me
1. WHat is a dive if according to Mr McCOist and a hell of a lot of Gers fans that it wasnt?.
2. How being found guilty of diving is not a form of cheating?
3. Why the hell a 2 game ban is applied for a discression that usually affords a solitary yellow card?

I would be upset if a celtic player got a ban for that, however i would come round and say fair enough, he was caught cheating and thats that! So maybe this is the way to start getting this sort of thing out of the scottish game. maybe rangers fans and management should maybe just say that?? and show some of that... what do you claim to have again? ..... dignity thats it.

What a bloody joke this whole scenario has become.

Evinguu

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Bear in peace, fair enough it was a dive but why let example g.oconner off with it, why a 2 game ban when its a yellow and the panel did say there was contact, its magic if its straight across the board {Ed007's Note - Like I have said mate, it is more down to poor refereeing and a failing in the disciplinary process. Blaming players or concocting crazy conspiracies isn't going to change anything, the buck stops at referees IMO.}

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2011 19:50:37
Sure lets replay the game at inverness 2 when sammy got the player sent off and it changed the match
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No matter how you look at it , It was a free-kick against Sameras as the player never played the ball .
The red was reduced to a yellow which was fair in my opinion . the ref got that wrong yes but Aluko Dived which resulted in a penalty Goal which won rangers the game .

Believable2 Unbelievable0

The red card got reduced to no card at all. It was a bad call by the referee and a bit of play acting by samaras but more so the ref was in the wrong.
F {Ed007's Note - Exactly mate, everyone is going on about this player or that player, silly conspiracies etc, it is the referees that are making these mistakes.}

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2011 19:11:37
usually when you appeal against an sfa decision,and lose,the punishment usually doubles.so why still just a 2 match ban?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

There's a new set of rules and process which was put in place by the SFA; not least through the efforts of CFC. I think we would be expecting a bit much to have the original punishment doubled as Rangers have had their new player banned for 2 games and their manager has made a complete A*** of himself into the bargain. Come on...its been a pretty good week. Last year he would have escaped punishment altogether.

Agree3 Disagree2

08 dec 2011 18:25:21
ed now that the sfa have found aluko guilty of diving should they not have gone the full road and cancelled out the goal that resulted from the penalty that should never have been awarded {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable1 Unbelievable8

PATHETIC!!

Agree6 Disagree0

Sure lets replay the game at inverness 2 when sammy got the player sent off and it changed the match {Ed007's Note - I can't remember Samaras sending anyone off. Are you sure it wasn't the referee that got that one wrong again?}

Agree0 Disagree2

Sammy rolled around as if he had been shot to make sure the player got sent off! then the red card got reversed!no sfa hearing for him this just stinks of celtic trying anything to claw some points back! billy {Ed007's Note - Lol aye ok then.}

Agree2 Disagree0

See if we started that then it would be like a season & a half we would play a year lol

so now sallys threw his toys out the pram.isnt it terrible when your team finally gets sussed for the CHEATS that they are.CHEATED her majestys government out of millions of pounds.CHEATED the scottish public by playing teams full of illegally paid players,resulting in winning TAINTED TITLES.and now they are found guilty,not for the first time this season,of CHEATING referees by being DISHONEST on the pitch.SHAME ON YOU GLASGOW RANGERS,THE LOWEST OF THE LOW.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Thats rich coming from the people who cry everytime they dont get there way what rangers were doing was ok at the time

Agree4 Disagree4

We are Rich :))

Agree5 Disagree2

Cheats! and what about sammy at inverness he rolled about like he was shot! as for stokes dont get me started! celtic cheat all the time! billy

Agree3 Disagree3

Go to the CHEATS page

Agree1 Disagree2

Aluko cheated, sure, but I'm not sure he deserves a 2 match ban (as a Celtic fan though I can't say I'm complaining).

He'd have got a yellow at most in the game. A more fair punishment would've been disciplinary points or maybe a 1 match ban seeing as it was a game changing decision.

And all this ignores the fact that the referee was utterly useless in giving the penalty in the first place. Oh and the SFA review panel not banning an equally awful diving offence earlier in the season. {Ed007's Note - I'm with you on that, I blame the standard of refereeing and the disciplinary process. All the 'conspiracy' stuff is actually quite funny and shows how small minded some people are.}

Agree1 Disagree0

IMHO all this talk of cheating is naive. Players will try and con the ref, they always have done and always will do. It is part of the game nowadays and has been for 20 some years whether we like it or not . I would not call Aluko a cheat but I would call Thierry Henry a cheat for his conduct in the playoff against Eire. It really is up to the officials to deal with things on the pitch but there will be occasions when they get it wrong for all the right reasons. We need proper technology and replays on a big screen and this would resolve such incidents in a heartbeat. We all know how to resolve this but for some reason the beaks in Uefa are dragging their feet. Is this because they want ambiguity and lack of certainty? That's another issue for another day. The bottom line is with effective use of technology the player just wouldn't try to con the ref as all he will get is laughed at on the replay and a yellow card thrown for his efforts. Its been a good day though, Rangers fans dry your eyes and tell your manager to relax and stop making a fool of himself.

Agree1 Disagree1

HE CHEATED to get Rangers a penalty with which they scraped a 2-1 win at home to DUNFERMLINE , it would have finished 1-1 otherwise , so RANGERS have gained 2 points they would have dropped , because Rangers failed to score from open play , Dunfermline could be relegated by one point at the end of the season , John Yorkston is a fool if he can't see this , he should be fuming not Ally McCoist , i shudder to think how bad Rangers would be if the SFA (referees) were against them , Ally i smell s**te pal .

Agree1 Disagree2

Kyle lafferty now theres a cheat ha

Agree2 Disagree0

Its clear to anyone who is a student of the beautiful game that Celtic would be streets ahead if the refs applied the rules consistently. We are constantly fouled and no foul is given and the opposition be it Dunfermline Rangers or Kilmarnock kick our skillful players black and blue and get away with it...mostly. We seem to be pulled up for minor infringements. The play is broken up and we have to build again and start our move from scratch. It has always been thus.

Some of the things i have been reading today are quite funny...mcoist is raging and says his player is not a cheat and not a lier, how longs he known the guy? 2 weeks lol! And aluko says and I quote 'I don't normally dive' so what does that mean? Just sometimes LOL? Markiebhoy.

surely mccoist must be facing a hefty fine for his comments about the outcome of his latest diver.to say,an ex ref(i know not who)was on the panel,and his decision making hasnt improved any since he retired.surely he will have to answer for that comment.must be a ref who never gave rangers a penalty,lol.

Believable4 Unbelievable5

And what about lennons comments he makes bout refs everytime celtic dont get a result!! all your crying bouts refs is paying off {Ed007's Note - ?}
