If NL left celtic today and celtic took on a big name manager/coach . Would you remember NL for his 17 months and 3 transfer windows, 14 million and 1 trophy or All the crap he brought to celtic of the field . {Ed007's Note - All what crap that he brought?? Do you practice being a complete moron or were you born stupid? If it wasn't for sad, pathetic bigoted individuals there would be no OFF field problems. How thick can some people be!!}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Glad to see you back ed007 taking care of the rubbish posts. you do a great job and was well missed. cheers {Ed007's Note - Thanks.}

Ed007 enjoyed my visit tonight, hope to find time again soon. On Rangers site bears are complaining to Ed014 about myself and Miko can't think why?
Bhoys it shows they can dish it out but cannot take it back, no more free passes, if they dish it give them it back and watch them cry to their ed ha ha

Govan FR if you want a debate about HMRC I will give you one before I go again.
Here is scenario I was told, apparently Arsenal had some kind of dispute with HMRC (not same I dont think as gers) but I heard they negotiated a £10m pay back and had to pay it back all at once, now here is where it gets interesting, even if HMRC agree to something like £10m repayment for rangers, has Whyte got money to pay this, remembering he has already warned you bears of a £10m "blackhole"
If tax people want the lot paid even at £10m he cannot pay even this amount.
Worrying thing for you bears, is Whyte with all his business acumen had apparently budgeted euro money THIS year into his sums, poor accounting.
Looks like you will have to look to Mr Ogilvie at SFA to help your team out of a big black hole Timalloy

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Tax Evasion has brought down bigger names than rangers...Lester Piggot springs to mind lol

GovanFR

Are the rumours true is Mick the Bhoy and CFC 67 the same person? {Ed007's Note - Yes they were GFR. That's why it is so annoying when people come out with BS about Tim/Miko being the same person etc or people posting as CFC fans when they aren't, I always out people I catch doing that as it is the ultimate petty childish thing to do, and pathetic. Especially when it isn't even a wind up, just boring old rubbish.}

Rangers have won the league the last 3 seasons, got to (then call) ufea cup final,season tickets are down, and still in a big debt ?

Celtic lost the league 3 Years in a row,won Scottish cup,season tickets are down, give TM a golden hand shake & in hardly any debt ?

Pointing being Celtic have been business wise better off than rangers ? Just shows even if rangers win the league... There still in tick ? Celtic win the it's more or less profit ?

Come on you bhoys in green
Lenny

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So lets get this right then Lenny you are quite happy to go on losing the League to Rangers as long as your bank balance is healthy

Tony

Agree2 Disagree0

Were you on the radio earlier? 2 guys phoned in and said exactly the same. Its good that we have no debt but I think we need to market ourselves alot better than we have been. We had the perfect opportunity to get some real quality in this summer and take advantage of Rangers finance problems but as usual we didn't and It may cost us the title yet again. When are they going to learn that the fans want trophy's. I don't expect the board to be stupid with money but most large businesses run on a manageable overdraft. We have 2 billionaire's on the board surely an arrangement to borrow money from 1 of them with a repayment plan isn't to much to ask.

Mark67

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye Mark I heard the call earlier on SSB. I think the guy made a fair point...sort of.

If you take Europe out of the equation, winning the SPL and the other two trophies makes little difference where Celtic are concerned (in fact the prize money for finishing 1st vs. 2nd is something like 1.6 vs. 1.4 M - very little difference in truth).

I think in fairness to Celtic they are better from a business perspective and work very much within their means, certainly since the days of O'Neill and probably as far back as when Fergus McCann took over and dragged the club out of the mire. Rangers on the other hand are paying the price for perhaps pushing the boat out too much under e.g. Dick Advocaat. Lucky for them they've had opportunities in the CL to help them tick along.

What he failed to acknowledge though is that there's only so long it can go on for a club such as Celtic (and Rangers) who's fans demand success. Results on the pitch determine season book, matchday ticket and merchandise sales which in turn obviously dictate the finances. European money now is probably at a premium given both clubs' chances of qualification and a huge windfall, so Rangers dominating for say the next 2 seasons I feel would have a massive effect on the finances of Celtic as their finances would dwindle but I guess in turn the club would adjust (which would mean less spending and I guess a poorer quality side - a potential downward spiral). How Rangers' finances would be affected by not qualifying for Europe or winning trophies remains to be seen as there's so much uncertainty surrounding their financial situation.

he may be Bonkers ed but i think its about time someone stood up to the bully boys in Uefa im glad that my club are not embroiled in it and i do realise that celtic are the faultless ones (pity that could have got good mileage out of that one)

Tony {Ed007's Note - He isn't standing up to UEFA on any point of principal, he is using the situation to massage his already gargantuan ego. The Swiss Football League are appealing the court order that the players are allowed to play in domestic matches.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im not going to pretend i have a clue of whats going on (unlike Tim with the Tax case ) but this bloke seems to think that his club had served their transfer ban or am i barking up the wrong tree

Tony {Ed007's Note - He is saying they have, UEFA are saying otherwise and it is their rules that all clubs need to follow. I have a lot of gripes with UEFA, including Rangers fans ban BTW but on this one UEFA are in the right for the fact that it is their competitions and rules that govern football. I am not saying Rangers shouldn't have been punished but other European teams fans get away with racially abusing players all the time and nothing seems to get done.}

Your right...it doesn't change the league position as of todays date, 28 games still to play but your right.. good comeback lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason Whyte never made it onto the top 10 rich list is he only has £1bn lol. 10 place goes to Bernie Ecclestone with £1.4bn. So if they were a top 15 you probably would see his name on it lol. I see 1 of celtic's shareholders is in the top 10 (Denis O'Brien) but I'm sure he has more shares in Doncaster Rovers FC than he does in Celtic so his main priority DRFC. Rangers have a previous shareholder in the top 10 (Joe Lewis) does that count lol.

i reckon you must be a Rangers Man in disguise m8 for two reasons

reason 1 i can see by your post that there is a high level of intelligence there which is not very common on these pages

reason 2 no mention of the HMRC or having Rangers stripped of their 9 in a row champions title which is very common on these pages

now i sit back and watch the sparks fly lol

Tony {Ed007's Note - You told me you came on here because of the higher level of intelligence, the adult conversation and because there is none of the 'Get back to your own page' stuff ;-)

Tony my friend if UEFA decide to put Celtic out of the Europa league , then they will have to compensate us accordingly , could be a good thing ! spending money for the january sales without the hastle of playing any more games !

lets say the give you 5 mil compensation no way the board would give that amount of money to NL to spend and by January it could be to late Rangers could have opened up to big a lead i expect you to win your game in hand but what if and i say if rangers win the next OF game that will put us 10 in front with on two OF games left Lennon will walk or get sacked if not then by the end of the season so your board will not give him another penny they will keep all there cash for the next manager

Tony

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I think this depends on the court ruling. If the Swiss court say no law was broken by Sion it means that they were wrongly removed which in turn would mean Celtic were wrongly reinstated after their loss and so I don't think would be entitled to any compensation what so ever but that's just an idea not in anyway fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree totally Uefa would have to compensate Celtic they put them back into a competition that if the ruling is correct they had no right being in and if celtic had refused to play they inturn would be breaking uefa rules Uefa f****d up badly so they should pay

SION owner Christian Constantin last night told Celtic to forget about going to Rennes on October 20 after a Swiss court ordered UEFA to kick the Hoops out of the Europa League.

The outspoken president was in defiant mood after the civil court advised UEFA to reinstate the Swiss outfit at the expense of Neil Lennon's men after hearing the cases of both parties for the first time.
Celtic are due to travel to France in a fortnight but Constantin said they can forget about that as they would be breaking the law.

The charismatic boss is confident his club will win the day as he reckons if his side are not brought back in the Europa League will be stopped when the group games are completed.

Constantin said: "Without our reinstatement, the Europa League will be blocked at the end of the group stage.

"This is a state court decision and no one on earth can go against the judge. We will play the next game in Group I, as expected, on October 20 in Rennes - then we will catch up the first two days."
It was the first time UEFA had had their case listened to by the court who said they had broken the law.
A spokesman for the game's governing body said: "We will make a statement on this in the next few days - and that depends on what our legal people say.

"It goes without saying we are worried about what is coming from Switzerland and won't make any comment until we have spoken to our lawyers. Both clubs will find out what is going to happen within days."

this is turning into a complete farce i can see Celtic being dropped from Europa meaning they have played two meaningless games which could have affected their domestic results which in turn could hamper their efforts in winning the League in hindsight i bet most of you guys wish your club had just accepted that Sion beat you and never bothered submitting a complaint

Tony

Believable1 Unbelievable1

This guy Christian Constantin is obviously Celtic-minded: part of a conspiracy to avoid further humiliation for the Hoops in Europe.

Deprive the vast Rangers supporting Scottish public of another Celtic away match in Europe?

We - the people - say NO.

this is not my words but thought i would share it taken from record web page comments lol

Tony

Agree0 Disagree0

Like I posted on the rumours page either way UEFA are being made a laughing stock and it will be compensation to either team whatever the out come. So 6 more games for us or £5 million min.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony my friend if UEFA decide to put Celtic out of the Europa league , then they will have to compensate us accordingly , could be a good thing ! spending money for the january sales without the hastle of playing any more games !

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony. Farce isnt the word. I just wish our club had actually been good enough to get the win in that fixture and many other fixtures since i must add, but sadly it wasnt to be and we are a poor excuse of a squad at the min. Always knew it wasnt going to be the end of it when we were snuck in the back door at Uefa's will. I dont see how they can reinstate them now, as if they kick us out again (as we deserved to be after the sion games) it opens up another can of worms. I can see uefa sticking to their guns. A court can only go on the evidence supplied to them. And im guessing that the evidence submitted by sion is well ,very biased to say the least. Im wondering if in making this ruling they even had representatives from Uefa to put a case forward against sion. I seriously doubt it. A possible way around it, is adding sion to the group, making it a 5 team group, and the next 4 games due to be played each team plays each other once, and start sion on our amazing points total of 1 seems fair to me, never going to happen but think it could work, and would keep most folk happy. They are back in, right amount of fixtures get played albeit all teams dont play each other twice, we dont appeal, they dont appeal everyone is in the europa league. Like i said aint gonna happen, as tems will see celtic in that respect as being beaten, claiming ineligibility and asking to be reinstated to a 5 team group. One last point, celtic only submitted a complaint on info they had from Uefa already did they not? im sure sion were told there would be consequences if they fielded certain players in the tournament and lo and behold there were. i think something similar would have happened if celtic didnt complain anyway. Uefa were after Sion already.

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Evinguu i totally sympathise with you here as everyone will testify im one of the first to come on here and stick it to you when celtic get beat or do something stupid but in this case i hate to say it but your team are faultless. if i was a celtic fan i would rather they booted celtic out compensated us for 5Mil and i would not give a toss how Uefa sorted the mess out with other teams. look at it this way it is very very unlikely that you will qualify from this group you might not even get another point. at the end of this group stage you could be out of Europe with 5 Mil you could have picked up a couple of injures along the way not to mention a couple of humiliating scores it could take its toll on domestic games and team spirit not to mention the fun we would have ripping into you lol or you could leave the competition with the 5 mil now and save some face what do you think

Tony

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony. Well its a hard one to give a completley unbiased opinion on that one. In one sense yes i would say lets take the money and run to the bank and avoid a possible embarrassment and injury as you say, christ we are all human we would all take money for nothing! and nothing is exactly what we are going to achieve in europe this year ( or have acheived . This whole in out of europa thing confused me lol). On the flip side, i like to see my team up against it. I like to see them play teams that will give them a challenge and see how the squad responds to that challenge ( yes i know recently that challenge is met with a whimper) and i would like to see us stand up in europe and try to make a point.

I made a post before the athletico game on here saying personally i want to see my team go down fighting, yes im unhappy if we get humped but im more unhappy if we go down without even attempting to make our mark on the game and having a real go at it. The Hearts game is a prime example of the opposite of this going down without a real fight or purpose, was very disappointed in that performance. I dont go into all these games domestically or abroad thinking we will win or will lose, its we might win we might lose so long as i see from a team that there is a desire to win and before other gers fans jump on that comment no i dont mean i celebrate second place. i enjoy my sport for the competition and the spectacle professional level of sport should be. And in any sport , football especially, lesser ( or apparently poorer ) teams cause upsets on a regular basis ( obv exception is celtic away from home abroad lol) and with our players on form ( for once) we can upset a team or 2 in the remaining fixtures if we get the mindset and execution right.

So in a roundabout way im kinda on the fence on that opinion of taking the money and running. I wouldnt be disappointed with either outcome, so long as we are able to show we have something about us in the remaining fixtures we have remaining.

Hard to put that view into words think i got there lol

And of course as a Rangers man it is your obligation to stick it to us when things go ary as we do when the shoe is on the other foot. Sadly weve not really been able to wear those shoes much recently, they are more like sandals as our taunts tend to be full of holes.... ok poor analogy lol

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that Rangers fans on forums, tend to sound like the borg?. With all this WATP, Follow Follow, we welcome the chase, resistance is futile ( ok they don’t say that) , The board in the past and present going on about the Rangers Collective time and again? Sounds all a bit suspect to me. Is Craig Whyte the Leader of the Hive mind? The single voice amongst the many, creating order from chaos, or chaos from order , no wait its rangers boardroom, creating chaos from chaos. Then you listen to his manner in interviews I can only hear him saying resistance is futile to every outside agency ( press, hmrc etc). Has anyone checked underneath Ibrox for a robotics lab? Just a thought.

Tony {Ed007's Note - The 'F' word is classed the same as the 'H' word Tony. It is the site that will get into trouble. Just like being called a Tim though, I don't find 'F' offensive. Don't worry about it mate. Do I get a free blanket by the way.}

you can have the deluxe model its double sided you can use the in HMRC we trust up until the end of November and if the tax case goes in rangers favour you just turn the blanket over and it turns into The Taxmans A Mason comfy blanket lol

Ed why you letting all these numpties come on here and pretend to be Celtic fans spouting s**t about NL, the players, protests etc.

Who do they think they are kidding. It's a sticky patch FFS its football and this happens. Hail Hail @ds2803 {Ed001's Note - unfortunately, a large proportion of fans expect immediate success and throw their toys out of the pram every time their team loses. It is the same on every site after a defeat.}

NL problem stems from he just cant handle situations when things dont go well for him (bad loser) if he gets beaten he either doesnt show up for interviews and sends others out, or he is out and he puts on the angry everybody but him are wrong. He never shows respect to lower teams if they beat him,always excuses.
The first 6 months of last season it was the spl, sfa , opposing managers , opposing players raise there game against celtic , referees are against him,even a Spannish referee in a friendly .
After winning the new year game at Ibrox he was being interviewed less than 5 minutes after the final whistle spouting how good his team were and how samaras was unplayable and world class , then weeks later he berates the same player for believing in his own press when celtic are beaten. Lets not hide from the truth, he has been a public relations disaster, a poor man manager, a poor manager, a poor coach and his backroom staff are no better. At board level its all about making decisions and the board chose the cheap untried NL . Since August lieswells only public quote was to try and ridicule the champions knocking back a bid for jelavic. sometimes it is better to say nothing until you get your own house in order before making cheap quotes that might come back an haunt you. Celtic always role out big ceaser for a statement when things are bad and it is the same old tired excuses time after time, if he was to be believed and always right why is he not your manager, forgot you dumped him.
The green brigade are so influential these last few years that they got rid of the best manager yous have had in the last years wee GS because he was not celtic produced.
