Just watched that Naismith tackle on Broony again. Even the commentator said it was horrendous. There is no way it was anything other than deliberate and malicious with the intent of causing injury. It's one thing saying a player is physical but it's another thing altogether when a player is outright brutal with deliberate intent to damage another player. That Naismith will get his comeuppance. He's a 'has been' player anyway who is full of envy for the best player in Scotland and the best team in Scotland. The Sevvie blood is still clearly running through his veins. HH.

Agreed and the one on Forrest was even worse.

Two terrible tackles and he also committed many fouls . The tackle on Brown was in my view the worse, to deliberately go in late and catch two balls with his boot and neither the match ball just showed the depths the Bastard was prepared to go .
The chances are he has won himself a transfer to Rangers 2012 . Don't be surprised to see him and Laverty both with the Govan club.

Especially bad from a player who has suffered a career threatening injury himself, the compliance officer must throw the book at him .

As a jambo and on here now and again thought tackle was dreadful right in the haw maws no intent to get ball the Forrest one too but to see broonie get up laugh it off and a will get u back was awesome and as for that joke of a manager for us all players need protecting from broonie what a joke av been impressed with him all season wish we had someone who commanded midfield like him . your thoughts lads.

Pity your manager doesn’t agree Kenny! When asked if he thought the tackle on brown was a bad one he said no! The bitterness and jealousy rips out this clown every time he opens his mouth! Everything about his career from playing to managing screams mediocrity and he cannot stand the fact he’s a serial loser! Clown of a man!

Ed do you think Roberts and Edouard could sign permanent deals with us? They'd both command high fees and I don't think we could compete with English clubs however it seems they both enjoy playing here.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - Yes I think they could.}

07 May 2018 13:46:48
think big eddy is nailed on, not so sure about paddy. Not a lot of game time maybe depends if he trusts BR enough to play him. By the way anybody notice how hw has bulked up, real core stuff?

07 May 2018 22:02:03
I think we would like to sign both of them but it is going to come down to price at the end of the day.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2018 22:56:37
Would be delighted if we could sign both - on top of Christie, Morgan and possibly McGinn joining up. The question must be whether Rogic and Armstrong stay - and although obviously we want them at Celtic, it could all depend on squad improvement and cash available.
However, there should be additional funds raised by the departure of several of the following:- Gamboa, Schevchenko, Allen, Ciftci, Compper, De Vries, Boyata, Simunovic, Bitton and Hayes, or others?
Hopefully, Dembele is in no rush to leave and then we could add more quality to our defense in preparation for Europe - and Scouser Stevie's Super Sevco lol.

Once a bhoy, I think you are going away over the top with the number of players you are listing as leaving in the summer . Continuity from one season to the next is important, especially our young players like Boyata and Bitton.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 10:08:26
Just going by what I've read on here Chris; Boyata and Simunovic could make a name for themselves at Celtic, but seem to want away? While the rest I have listed are either totally surplus, or have failed to command regular appearances - even before injuries.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 14:59:47
Seems a very common misconception about Boyata being a young player, he's actually 27!

Meanwhile we have the likes of Ajer (20) , KT (20) , Dembele (21) and Ntcham (22) who all look mature beyond their years.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 16:22:24
Rogic and Armstrong will not be replaced by Christie and Morgan, unless of course we want to get worse.

Morgan’s a project and Christie is too inconsistent and nowhere near the level of Stuart and Tom.

If we lose all the players cited and try and replace them with ten bob buys, CL qualification is under great threat. Rogers own signings have been mostly a key down. He doesn’t even pick players he bought.

He needs to sort that to stay where we are, never mind to stop going into the CL as the team everyone wants.

ntcham, and Eduoard the only two successes. Moussa was already identified. That’s a poor return on 17 players. The wasted wages alone must be more than most have for a total budget. I’m hoping we can bring these many projects on and at least make some of the outlay back,

The target is CL qualification and not being humiliated in it. Do that and we won’t need to bother with whatever Stevie G does with his £35m transfer kitty, sorry that should read £65m it was it £200m.

Rogers needs to bring in quality. Two more years of CL cash in the bank and they won’t be back for a decade. Or longer. Lose our current best players and replace them with the cheap options and we will once again be the creators of our own demise. Only ours to Feck up. Those of us of a certain vintage have witnessed that too many times.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 18:33:16
Once a bhoy, you have been reading too many lazy and negative Celtic fans who are by and large repeating nonsense from the main stream Scottish media .
It appears Armstrong would have been away last season but stayed only because he couldn't get a better deal elsewhere. The EPL has a great divergence in wages, so called established EPL players are earning unbelievable amounts but there are a he'll of a lot of new comers in the EPL from Irish and Scottish leagues earning very little at EPL clubs.

I omitted Sinclair probably because he doesn’t come into the thinking right away, as he has been a pale shadow of himself last year. Will await next performances before I would make. Judgement. Fantastic last year and guff this regardless of the goals, his performances looked like he had shat it to take people on. Hopefully back to his best next season. That’s still only 3 out of 17 and that’s piss poor recruiting numbers. Rogers must do better in thevteansfer market as Ronnies team will be away and we will be left with players he never picks who he bought.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2018 20:48:09
The main two issues Liverpool
Fans had of Rogers was.

1. He couldn’t sort out the defence

2. Bought 32 players and only 6 rated a success.

Anybody see a pattern? His recruitment has been awful in numbers terms here too and his four shots at fixing the defence have done nothing to improve it by additions. Ajer is also a Ronnie player, Hendry compared and Gamboa are nowhere near the standard we are crying out for.

Thought Paddy looked really scunnered on the bench and at one point when the camera was on him he lowered his head and stared at the ground. The impression it gave me there and then was that he's had enough sitting on the bench.

I'm one of the first to have a go at Boyata on here when he makes mistakes so fair play to him with the goal yesterday. Unbelievable finish from the big man.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I said on the live chat yesterday that Dedryck had been immense (I actually said imperious but I don't think anyone knew what that meant) yesterday and last week.}

07 May 2018 13:01:09
Unfortunately for me it’s too little too late and he’s probably playing for a move elsewhere. He had a good spell last season but apart from that he’s never shown any consistency, other than consistently being a bomb scare.

07 May 2018 13:35:17
I always felt he was trying too hard when he 1sr arrived, but I think his best position is where he played yesterday, a run of games, and a couple of goals gives strikers confidence, and I hope we can sign him up 👍.

When he is at it and not doing silly stuff he is a good defender, Europe might be a problem, but on the whole good. Partnerships in there take time, all the great pairs played together for years. Ajer, given time and experience, will be a top class centre back.

Has the makings of a really good CB. Quick and powerful but just lacks a bit of concentration. Whether it be hough a sloppy pass or positioning but his recovery tackles are right up there too. But really needs to be able to paas the ball better than he has done.

It's only a few weeks since he was 'public enemy number one' - making stupid mistakes, causing panic and gifting goals and although he has shown that he can be a decent player - when he wants to - he can be a serious liability against decent forwards.

Sheer brilliant.

Boyata sells jerseys and cannot be trusted. When he’s on form he looks brilliant, but, he always makes a right roaring Gareth hunt of it in big games.

His concentration slips. His judgement at vital moments is awful. I see what everyone says about him when he’s on form, it’s the compulsion to sell jerseys that tells me, he isn’t the answer going forward. Neither is Hendry Comprare.

Critical position and big Deryk is too much of a risk.

Well done to the team yesterday in very'trying'circumstances. Sorry did i say trying, i meant cheating and violent. There is so much to dislike about hertz. They seem to see themselves as kind kind of Aldi orangemen. y'know kinda not quite top tier bigotry and hatred but trying hard. An honourable mention in the ludge type bigotry.

Also mentioned in dispatches would, i imagine, be brothers naybrain, laffatme and of course master madden. naybrain should have been off after the Broony dig, a sneaky dirty after the ball dig, and for sure could have walked for the lunge, another in the sneaky dirty envelope. Laffatme seems unable to jump without climbing all over his opponent, like some untalented praying mantis, but wins most fouls. Cannot work that out.

If i were a hertz fan, and thankfully i am not, i would be asking where is that attitude every other game? And levein? Really not much to say other than he seems to be going a bit mad. This team, his in the making, do not play football. They barge and stumble into tackles and engage quickly, a strong ref should see this game breaking tactic.

And using the grass to slow us down? Wow. What a modern thinking coach he is.

I wouldn't blame the Hearts Manager and players for being so damned dirty and tackling with absolute no regard for the Celtic player's safety .
Mr Madden and his Officals are completely to blame for the rough house tactics by the Hearts players today . They knew right from the start that Madden wanted to punish Celtic for demolishing Rangers 2012 last week .
In the early minutes Hearts fouled Celtic players and because the ball fell to a Hearts player who could attack our goal he didn't give a free .
Was Madden putting on a display for dopey Steve , to give him encouragement?

Believable1 Unbelievable5

07 May 2018 10:42:11
Madden more or less permitted - and therefore encouraged - so many dirty challenges and dangerous 'tackles' with too many 'blind eyes' and honest mistakes and Naismith alone, should have been sent off TWICE (The smirking little rat, so admired by his mate The Slug) .
Lafferty was again allowed to commit constant infringements and niggles and once again we were very fortunate to avoid serious injuries - not for the first time against teams content on violence.
I am pretty certain Motherwell will also be given free license to carry on the same practices on May 19.

I think Craig Levein has a lot to answer for. Ever since he made those outrageous comments about Scott Brown, players are lining up to have a kick at him. Unless something is done about this it's only a matter of time before Brown suffers a serious if not career ending injury.
I heard live-in moaning again yesterday about how the disallowed goal cost them a 2-0 lead.
Hearts scored very soon after the disallowed goal, so if the first goal had been allowed the game would have taken a different course and they may well have not scored the second. Surely they would only have been robbed if they had been 1-0 up when the goal had been disallowed.
Levein seems to be a character who always has to blame someone or something for his own teams failings. By saying how unlucky they were whilst ignoring the fact that his team should never have finished with 11 men on the field just sums up this idiot in my view.

Madden chalked off perfectly good goal Chris. The tackle were shocking two of their players should have walked.
