Villa have signed Tonev. Oh well, I didn't really think it was an area we needed strengthened anyway.

Is Lenny away at the minute, two of our strong supposed targets seem to be heading away from parkhead at the minute, tonev to villa and balde to palace. Didn't Lenny want to get all god work done early as we have the champions league play off rounds coming up. This doesn't include Russell or the impending loss of at least one of wanyama, hoops or foster!

So a convicted vat fraudster and his brother are getting a directorship at The Rangers. I wonder why is it to hide the fact they are skint and don't own Ibroke or Minty Park.

Was it Sir Cardigan get us on the board and we will forget about the EGM your secret is safe with us.

Then there is Murray who is staying a board member.

Then a hedge fund asset stripping inhouse fighting money grabber getting in on the act.

There really is trouble at Ibroke and still the act like Jellyfish. What will it take to see that they are going to lose their new club.

Folks

Let's not be surprised or disappointed if we lose out on the likes of Amido Balde or other similar players to the likes of Crystal Palace over the summer. The stark reality is that ANY English Premier League club and many Championship clubs can blow us out of the water with wages and transfer fees. If they want a player bad enough then they'll buy his soul as well as his ability. That's just the way it is so let's stop grumbling and blaming the Board of Celtic FC when we don't go out and spend millions on transfer fees and £50k a week on salaries to journeymen who are only after money. Those calls from some supporters are totally unrealistic. It is the shrewdness of the Board that has kept our club on the straight and narrow. It is the dedication of th Board who have put us in a position where we CAN buy occasional players of decent quality. If you want your club to go and spend £10m on a player then you are supporting the wrong club. Supporting Celtic is not for those who are fickle minded and shallow, it is a club for the people being run by people who know how big a part the club plays in the lives of so many.
It is refreshing when we come across players who want to play for the club and want Champions League football (assuming we qualify) but that isn't always the case as many players are tempted by money in what is a relatively short career for most of them.
If that still doesn't satisfy you then sell your house and your car, get all of your savings too and give it all to the club. If enough of you do it then maybe we can but those players some of you seem to crave. Look across the city and you'll see what happens when a club becomes too ambitious and bows to the demands and cries of their fans. Fergus McCann saved us when we almost did it in the old days and the current Board seem determined to make sure it doesn't happen again. Is that wrong?
Me? I'm just proud to be a part of the greatest football family in the world. And that'll do for me.

Hail Hail

Hi ed, never posted before. I have heard lots of rumors about different players, do you know what realistic players Neil Lennon would like to bring in to the club? Lots of people seem disappointed about Russell but do you think he is capable of improving on a squad looking to advance further in the champions league? I'm don't think so.

Glad to see Celtic have just donated 22 thousand pounds to help feed impoverished children in Africa, big victor really seemed impressed might help us keep him for another year.

I know it not really banter it just made me feel great knowing my club does so much to help out people less fortunate, brother walfrid would be proud

Morning folks!
I am increasingly worried by the smaller diddy teams beating us to the punch for our 'targets' I know the hoops like to keep their cards to their chests but being beaten by Villa, Derby and Crystal Palace to players is a red neck.
Give Lenny the wonga he needs for decent players or risk him walking away in frustration. I know a load of money went to building and revamping paradise, but come on board! get the wallets oot, be can write cheques and not I. O. U's like over in the cess pit Ibroakes!

New to this ed. This is seriously some made up muck. If we had 8million to spend on one player it would not be for mcgeady, as for arshaven, he will go back to russia, denilson will go to spain or back to brazil. I can see gary hooper and big vic leaving this summer for a combined 16million, and leaving along with, rogne, mccourt, miku, bangura. As for who comes in, is all up to lenny, let's hope the board give him a bit of cash to spend and don't hold back, so lenny can work his magic, in lenny we trust. HailHail gazdcelt {Ed007's Note - Welcome aboard Gaz, all opinion, muck or ortherwise are more then welcomel. HH.}
