How can Rangers afford to tour Germany and France pre-season when creditors are being asked to accept a fraction of debt due and they alledgedly don't know which division they will be playing next season, or what players will still be available ? Am I missing something?

Stop putting words in my mouth tedbear! That is not the case at all maybe short term some clubs will have a shortfall but long term it'll prob be a good thing! U's have been gaining an unfair advantage for 15 years now! Signing players u's simply can't afford by paying there wages in offshore accounts! In other words cheating! RANGERS' administrators still have the option of accepting the SFA's original transfer embargo for bringing the game into disrepute and avoiding the possibility of one of three more severe punishments.
SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has made it clear there is no room for negotiation after the Ibrox club took their fight to the Court of Session in Edinburgh, however, they could still make a sensational climbdown to avoid the pending punishments.

The EBT loans are discretionary -and have to be re-paid if a demand is made. So Mr Charles Green is going to request that all recipents (including Mr Campbell Ogilvy, Ally and Walter) to repay them. The proceeds will be used to pay off small creditors and outstanding transfer fees.

What's the legalities of this? He never loaned the EBT money in the first place, it was another owner

Rangers cannot demand repayment of the loans as Rangers were not the entity that made the loans. The loans were made to Rangers staff and MIH staff from Trusts (EBTs) and as such any repaymentof the loans would be to the Trusts.

Having said that, it will never happen.

Campbell ogilvie should step down from his position within the sfa, he knew exactly what was going on at rangers for years and done nothing about it! David Murray claims the ebt's were included in the rangers annual accounts, yes they were! but nowhere near the extent to which they were using them! Campbell ogilvie is a crook! He knew the ebt's were wrong and done nothing about it. The sfa for u eh?

There are many issues still to be resolved with regards to Rangers football club. One of the biggest issues for the whole of Scottish football however is so obvious that it escapes our attention.

The president of our governing body is Campbell Ogilvie, a man who received money from RFC in the form of an EBT. Over the course of the last few months we have learned that an EBT is in fact a loan (which isn't expected to be repaid). Now here's the thing. The SFA president who has great influence over any punishment dished out to RFC actually owes them money.

How can the SFA possibly allow that?. How indeed can the other Scottish clubs including Celtic allow that?. As it stands Campbell Ogilvie is in debt to RFC. His position in the SFA is severely compromised.

Ogilvie must resign or Scottish football is dead

He hasn't been involved with any decisions involving Rangers since the club went into administration and according to Regan, that will continue to be the case.

To the first response - if you think Ogilvie has not been involved in matters surrounding Rangers then you're a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

But of course Regan said it so it must be true.

A thought just occured to me. Rangers pay this money into a trust fund that the individual draws down as and when. I.E. The money is held there untill they make a loan application and the money is not shoved directly into the bank. So Ogilvie could have money in that fund that he drew down say last week. Would this constitute recieving moneys from Rangers while president of the SFA. In fact if he has drawn down any money from the fund he would technically be indebted to a fund set up by Rangers. Clear conflict of interest.

Marco - the problem for Rangers and their fans is that this site, and others have been telling them the truth for well over a year now and we were dismissed as talking sh1t and being Timmies.

What we have told them has now turned out to be the truth.

What is astonishing is how many of them are still in denial.

The main thing they need to understand now is that Green does not want a CVA he wants a Newco. They are heading for liquidation.

Paul Murray also wants a Newco and not a CVA. Why do you think he offered only £2m for the CVA. He knew it would be rejected, and he hopes to come back if Green drops out (which I think he will) and then say "sorry chaps, a CVA doesn't work now, the only way forward is liquidation and a Newco" and he'll be heralded as a saviour.

Green is peddling a load of sh1t to them with no substance whatsoever as to what his plans are. What was his biggest announcement from yesterday's meeting with the RFFF - they want to rename Murray Park. He should have been told there and then by the RFFF to get ta f*ck.
In fact some of them actually think Green now owns the club - gulible or what?
