Anyone seen this pure drivel on the Sevco site?

12.) Great post. i think we have every chance. we have signed not bad players even in the 3rd division in a couple of years back im spl, we will have more and better. i agree we will win spl in four years, if only through hate of all the other clubs, for puting the boot in. in 5 years we will be flying in champs league.minimum quarter finals

Thoughts please!!

I'm a psychiatric nurse and even this bewilders me!

DazzaBhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Dazza, it takes seconds to have a thought on this 'Deluded' lol

Still same old Ibrox fan..spend, spend, spend cash they haven't got (Well how else will they get to the quarter finals of the CL) and don't let the FFP rules get in the way either.

*sigh* some folk never learn

Mrs E

Agree4 Disagree1

Mrs E you are so right, our club has brought in close to £20m and yet only spent £2m! I'd rather watch our NextGen kids coming though than pay for another Bangura, Rasmussen or Loovens!

But if the Sevco/NewCo/The Rangers want to spend...spend ...spend, in an attempt to beat us, let them bring it on. Were more than a match for them now and in the foreseeable future!

Long live the hoops!

Those Zombienation FC fans say we're obsessed with their pages and, to be honest, I kind of am! I keep going on there as it's one of the finest sources of home grown comedic talent around at the moment! I've been going through quite a hard time in life lately but guys like 12.) having been really helping me through it and lifting my spirits on a daily basis. Pure comedy gold! Thank you guys! Belters the lot of ya! Hey Dazza, I've a feeling that you may be coming across more than a few of these Zombie clowns in a professional capacity soon.......good luck.
Weetam1888

Agree4 Disagree1

Also the thing about us being over on thier page and us being obsess with them (going by what they say), I can say for myself and I don't know about yous is that they blame everything that goes against them in Celtic. I don't like our name tarnished in any way and the things they come up with is just mind boggling, cause they think pl runs things even though they have a former director on the sfa and all the special treatment they get. They think what's far and right is all driving by hate just because they are the former rangers, I like to try and open thier minds and eyes to what is right but sadly I think most are lost. Maybe it's because they were lied to so much and they just believed it that its all they know and fail to reconize what they have done. They are so messed up by thier legends that they lie to themselves on a minute basis, it is stressfully to try and help them.. Lol. {Ed007's Note - We still must fight the good fight and try to educate them. I blame the schools ;-)

Agree2 Disagree3

They've got too much time on their hands this week with no Ramsden cup game and no league fixtures to try and scramble their way to the summit of div 3 , they"re all on a high after their "superb performance" (their words not mine) last week against Elgin, Zombie FC never heard a more appropriate name......Stevie

Agree1 Disagree1

What version of Sevco will ever play in the CL? I love reading their pages and even showing guys at work the p1sh they talk. I know Sevco fans that are that embarrassed by the p1sh they spout they don't even go on it now. They are the laughing stock of football and must never ever be allowed to forget the shame they have brought to our game. Why anyone would want to be associated with the deadco I will never know, they should hang their heads in shame for what they have done. If any them say they are the same team ask them how much the shares are worth and are the debentures still valid, they robbed their own fans and still they hang onto the lies.

Agree4 Disagree1

Totally agree Weetam, i AM obsessed with their pages, it gives me hours of entertainment reading posts about team selections to beat East Stirling and how hard done they have been by spl etc. As you say pure comedy gold. How the self proclaimed mighty Rangers have fallen....Stevie

Agree2 Disagree2

I have to agree with that, i too am obsessed with having a good laugh. You could ask all the great comedy writers of the last 50 years to get together and come up with something special and they would never get near that level of comedy. How can you ignore it ?
Yorkiebhoy.

Agree1 Disagree0

Their page is bliss, those bitter gits all dictating who to boycott, who to blame for EBT's, who to blame for their club being"demoted to div3"!!!

And somehow Celtic fans are to blame for the lot.......who's paranoid now?

young tony bhoy watt fouled for a penalty and scores on ye go wee man, oh hes cozin problims again get in young nan,stef1967

Believable4 Unbelievable0

They were very good the 2nd half, maybe one of the good things to come from rangers going bust and the financial situation in Scottish football is the youth are being brought through and really encouraged.

As well as Tony Watt, thought Stuart Armstrong and Scott Allan had a great game. ~ Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree0

Did he play in the U21 game? Seen we won 3-0 but didn't see the game.....any other youngsters that stuck out?

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

Seen the boy Allan a few times now and he looks a prospect . Tony Watt is going to be a cracker , just keep away any EPL clubs sniffing about .......DH

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah remember this is Luxenbourg, but Watts' 15 minutes looked increadable. I've seen Rhodes with the U21 and he did not look near as good.

Armstong Allen and Russell looked good second half but first have were struggling to get on the ball

How gash were Perry, Wilson and McCabe?

Agree0 Disagree1

Thought Danny Wilson was pretty solid considering he has little, if no, recent competitive match experience. Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree1

Mrs E second half maybe. But first half him and perrry did the "after you Claude" routing a few times and nearly let them through on goal. they seemed incapable of knocking the ball wide to Jack who was in acres of space most of the time and both tended to launch hit hope balls upto Griffiths and Russell who were never going to get on the end of them.

I've seen Perry before and though he looked a player but last night looked suspect.

People on here were suggesting we sign wilson. Not on last nights showing

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry, I did say 2nd half.

I never seen the first half but was speaking to a guy in my work who was saying first half was dire.

Let hope they get a result on Monday and can still qualify. Mrs E

See Mcleish is trying to say he spotted Big Vic and would have signed him if Birmingham hadn't been relegated . Aye right just like when he spotted Messi when he was at Old Co . Another Old Co manager now managing Sevco stated today about his new signings " they've Ben accused of going to us for money which is absolute nonsense . Even if it was the case they are quite entitled to do so because in any other profession or walk of life you would look after your family " . Just like the well known traitors Naismith , Mcgregor , Davis and Whittaker........DH {Ed007's Note - McLeish helped our case with Wanyama's work permit application. He had been watching him and helped the WP situation as Wanyama fell into the 'Exceptional Talent' category mainly thanks to McLeish's assessment of the player.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

McLeish..... the man that attempted to get both Birmingham clubs relegated in successive seasons!

Enough said about that man the better. Even RFC i know fans didn't rate him!

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree2

McLeish hardly spent a penny at the clubs he was at, he always worked with a limited budget. Especially at Rangers. There's not many managers out there who would do that.

Talking to a "the rangers" fan who is going to boycott anything to do with spl teams getting any of his cash and anything to do with sfa .After explaining sfa get money from him via a couple of ways he seemed a bit annoyed, then asked what he would do if Celtic and the rangers reached a cup final at Hampden . Reply was there is not much chance of the rangers getting there. Would like it to happen especially a final to see if he would keep to his princepels of not supporting sfa in any way he did not have to.

what is this rumour regarding sevco selling tickets via a vendor to avoid the tax and sharing the gate with moterwell

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Alledgedly they're going to sell programmes for £15, and admission costs £2. It' to make sure Motherwell dont get decent money from the gate receipts.......they truyely are a shameful bunch.....always got a chip on thier shoulders!

DazzaBhoy {Ed007's Note - They can't do that Dazza, the rules of the game don't allow it. You would think they would be glad of getting a money-spinning tie against an SPL team.}

Agree3 Disagree2

Vendor is Ticketus.

Agree3 Disagree1

Probably... shamrock

Agree2 Disagree1

I know they cant do it, but they're idiot "fans" believe they can. Amd the talk is it's to get one over on the Motherwell fans for not voting their Newco into our top league! They're such an ignorant mob if they believe SPL/SFL clubs got them "demoted", "relegated" etc. They dont get the fact new clubs start at the bottom.!

Still i think Motherwell will hump them!

DazzaBhoy {Ed007's Note - I'm not so sure Dazza, it will be a hard fought game and an upset could be on the cards. As the underdogs The Rangers will be well up for it and will want to give a good account of themselves playing a team from the top division for the first time.}

Agree4 Disagree1

ED I still believe, having watched Motherwell in Europe and in the SPL that they will beat Sevco. Ally's management style will be built around getting "stuck in" (black & McCulloch style), Ally may have the biggest squad outwith Celtic but at times he looks like the players pal, not their manager.

If your loosing one nil at home, would you rather walk into Stuart McCall or Ally? McCall would rip you a new one!

Sevco will give a good account of themselves but, Motherwell are playing decent professional teams every week, whilst Sevco are playing against part-timers and are making them look good.

DazzaBhoy {Ed007's Note - Time will soon tell Dazza but I can still see an upset and The Rangers getting a win.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Nothing would make me happier Ed, as then the chances of us meeting Newco would increase......something everyone would love to see....it's one of the only games people all over the world would pay to see live!

How's the leg big man?

DazzaBhoy {Ed007's Note - Doing my nut in Dazza thanks for asking. The wound from my last op in March has STILL not healed up.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to hear it's not healing quickly mate. March is a long time, bet Mrs Bond is loving you lying about the house! lol Take care mate

DazzaBhoy {Ed007's Note - Thanks Dazza, and you. I sit upstairs in the office room most of the day out of the way, I can get on with things in peace and quiet up there :-)

Agree0 Disagree2

We've just got a new house and i've claimed the garage as my "man cave". Every men needs a man cave! Take care Ed, and Mrs Bond.

Perhaps a trip to south america to see a witch doctor is in order, Mr Bond. No? Native American medicine tribe? Bet they could fix you in a week. Auld Brenda will foot the bill.
'kin quacks don't have a clue here! Wee Pat would do a better job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats the betting on that game ? If all the currants are betting on their team there might be a decent bet on the well. I agree with ed as far as 'well will get a game of it from the fourth tier opposition but they should get through. The newco players looked like the u21 game was a big jump for them. So far there have been some good bets to be had from the calamity going on over at edmiston drive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Motherwell never got a good result against Rangers under McCall and I don't expect his attitude to change against Sevco. I remember one game when the two M/well forwards were tearing the Rangers defence a new one - both ended up being subbed. Not forgetting the time they lost heavily at Ibrox (4-0 from memory) but managed to beat Celtic 2-0 the following weekend. Make of that what you will. O Fiannachta.

see that there is an issue with the boca deal from the newco as it did not go thru on time seems this had to go thru before temps could sign due to finance has anyone heard anymore

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Thats the reason their was a holdup with the temple deal they waited on that going through funny how his wasnt on time but the sfa comp crashed

Agree0 Disagree0

Talk on the darkside is that the paperwork didn't go through, so he's retuning to Sevco.

But they signed Templeton and gave him Boca's place in the SFL list, so technically Boca will be paid but not played. Or Green could tear up his contract and allow Boca to go elsewhere! Only rumour though nothing official yet!

DazzaBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I tried to post the same story on their transfer board but surprisingly they didn't print it. It seems the Templeton paperwork wasn't 'lodged' until 01.10 on the Saturday morning. Pesky computers.....

I like how Lennon is trying to lock our core players down to new contracts as I think this might be better business then brining in some new players(like the 2 new strikers and hope they add something). But if we get hooper and wanyama on new contracts then we control the transfer fee and will show players that if you do your part you are rewarded.

Ed my question to you is do you think that there is a great chance of both players signing a new longer contract? I know both have been talking about the epl and how they want it but is it for a pay raise or think they want out. Also do you think hooper will get a call up to the England squad now with there injuries or at least a good look at? Its funny how it could be us a spl club could have England's future #1 but prop #2 England keeper and a top striker for them if they would call on hopper and Forster. {Ed007's Note - I think both players will sign new contracts but I doubt it will affect their transfer fees, it's not at the top end of the market where contract length is a major factor (look at RVP this summer). CFC will still be looking for bids over £7 million for Hooper and would probably accept less if the player really pushed to leave. I would say that Forster has a better chance of getting in the England squad. IMO Hooper is probably the best English born out and out 'goal-poacher' around just now. As a goal-scorer he is as good as Defoe (the majority of his caps have came from sub appearances) and Welbeck and Carroll are just awful.}

"With a four leaf clover on my breast"

Liverpool fans occasionally sing "With a Liver bird upon my chest" but i dont know the rest of their version. This was adopted from us.

The fields of Athenry I believe was first sung by celtic supporters. Liverpool now have "The fields of Anfield road". Pete St John performed this at Celtic Park because the celtic fans took it up as one of their anthems. I dont believe anybody else sung that on the terraces before us.

And im sure there are a lot more. Look on Celtic Wiki, there are a few good writings on there about some of our songs/chants.

One which can be recycled and modified slightly this season is:

Tell all the Gers in pain
That we're heading for sunshine again
Though the rangers are gone
and the Bill is not on
Our beach balls are going back to Spain

Agree3 Disagree2

Sorry linnie 88 , wasn't trying to upset you. but i have a wee thought. how about we choose a banging tune and every time it's played we all dance like drunk uncles at a wedding. that would be different, funny and ours.. shamrock

Just a few quotes from the past couple of years for you to mull over, Im not saying there is anything untoward here, but you make your own minds up:

3rd January 2011:

"If you look at Scottish football, a 16-team league wouldn't work economically and it would have a knock-on effect in terms of the quality of players you can attract.
"It's two 10s or the status quo in my view."
Ralph Topping (SPL Chairman)

"Each of the options has been fully evaluated and the one that delivers way above any of the others is a 10-team league, and I'm fairly confident that's where we will end up. I don't think there is any other option. It delivers on a financial front, it delivers on a football front."

Stewart Milne (Aberdeen Chairman)

29th August 2011:

What worries me about the debate around the league structure is that for a lot of people it seems to be about the number of teams in a league “ whether it is ten, 12 or 14. I think it is more fundamental than that.ť Campbell Ogilvie (President of the SFA)

Fast forward to 2012:

A joint statement from the SPL, SFL and SFA quoted the following:

"A working party will be formed, including three representatives from both the SPL and SFL, to devise a new structure for the senior professional game in Scotland.

This group will have an independent Chairman appointed by the Scottish FA. They will be tasked with delivering by 30th November, 2012, a recommendation for structural change effective 2013/14.

This will incorporate primarily:-

-The introduction of an enlarged top tier for Scottish Senior Professional Football."

Reported on several media streams on 26th August 2012:

"SEVCOs new boy Sebastien Faure revealed last night that Ally McCoist sold him on a move to Ibrox by hinting they'll be back in the SPL within TWO years.

The French defender became McCoist's latest signing as Gers look to climb their way back to the top flight via the SFL.

In the current set-up they would need three straight promotions to get back to the top “ but a league restructure could change that.

SFA chief executive Stewart Regan remains open to a revamp and hinted last week at plans for three larger divisions including a top tier of 16 teams.

And former Lyon starlet Faure insists McCoist is gearing up for a sooner-than-expected return to Scotland's top flight.

The 21-year-old said: The coach told me there's a possibility of Rangers getting back to the top league within two years."

Your thoughts?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

The SPL under Doncaster did several financial models for an SPL of 8,10, 12 and 14 team league together with and without play offs.......... The report and figures were shared with every SPL chairmen, who then shared it with their boards. The figures clearly demonstrated a league of ten teams was the financial no brainer (with play offs).
I'm sure Milne, Lawwell and Petrie are independently on record stating such.
I'm sure ex first Minister McLeish's recommendations after his strategic review of Scottish football was exactly the same.

Hopefully we will not have to suffer more dark side underhand dealings to circumvent agreed entry requirements (more cheating).

Agree3 Disagree1

My point exactly, why the sudden change of heart? Last year, a bigger top tier was not viable, and now all of a sudden, they are looking to create a bigger top tier? This all changed as soon as they realised all the scare-mongering about breakaway SPL2 etc was not enough for fans/other clubs to overlook sporting integrity. Personally, I dont trust a word Doncaster, Ogilvie or Reagan say. They have tried to do everything possible to keep rangers afloat, but couldnt possibly stand up against (excuse the maths) 85-90% of clubs and supporters in Scotland.

My personal opinion, id like to see two leagues of 20 teams in Scotland playing each other home and away once a season and playoffs similar to the championship to get into the SPL. This would increase the number of fans watching SPL football, and surely would allow a larger revenue stream from advertising, sponsorship and TV revenue.
The first division is and always has been a competitive league, and the teams there would easily compete with the bottom half of the SPL. Too many meaningless games I hear you say, perfect opportunity to blood the youngsters and I think the Scottish game as a whole would benefit from this.
I say this with or without sevco, remember rangers went bust and no longer exist, so it makes no odds to me if sevco get back to the top tier sooner rather than later. At the end of the day, they have never won anything and so I dont see them as a threat.

Can anybody honestly say they wont miss the old firm games? Remember, we beat them in the last ever one! On another note, its just come up on TV that sevco have just signed Strella (sp). Are they not supposed to be under a transfer embargo FFS?

Agree1 Disagree0

Both worrying and a consolation at the same time, butsome people never cease to amaze.
The reason for change? I'll give you a wee nudge in the general direction of reality.
The earlier statements were attributable pre February 2012. The latter attributable post Feb 2012. Rather than a covert operation to help Rangers,i think you'll find it's main characteristic is designed to save Scottish football from financial ruin. You may even be surprised to learn that your club will vote for the changes to be made. Jeez!
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - Come on POB, where was the expected meltdown of the Scottish game that was predicted, the S*y pull-out, Peter Lawwell voting to allow your new club into the SPL etc etc not one of them have happened.
And now you are back on predicting which way club's will vote on something, Jeez!!!
Leave SPL business to the teams involved, The Rangers don't want anything to do with it anyway so why is it bothering you so much?
Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it
hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well i guess we'll just have to wait and see Ed,won't we?
But if you're expecting anyone to believe Scottish football as whole is in a better place now than it was ten weeks or so ago, well frankly you have lost your mind.
Try putting personal emotions aside for a second and look at the big picture.
Why is your club not giving the manager funds?
Why are you disappointed at the lack of investment by your club?
Why has no other SPL team signed players?
Why was the SKY deal negotiated down to a lesser payment over a longer term than originally agreed?
You can switch your wee deflector shield on if you want Ed,but the figures are already in the public domain. No amount of grass coloured camouflage can hide the facts. Just ask Kilmarnock,St Mirren, and Hearts. Do you know how bad the situation has got? Aberdeen and Hibs look as if they've improved ffs, that just about sums it all up!
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - You still haven't answered anything I asked. You have went from,
"You may even be surprised to learn that your club will vote for the changes to be made. Jeez!"
to
"Well i guess we'll just have to wait and see Ed,won't we?"

The Rangers fans crystal ball seems to be getting cloudier than the old (new??) club's finances. How did the waiting to see work out for you the last time?
You look at the big picture, the SPL is of no concern to Scotland's newest club and won't be for years. Why the infatuation? If the SPL is in that bad a condition what kind of state is the 4th division of Scottish football in?
You are only giving your opinion, look at the original S*y TV deal and the two year extension that ONLY the SPL could trigger, PL had to step in to help The Rangers get TV money, who was representing The Rangers at meeting in London with Sly and why?
It's all there in black and white, the SPL could have triggered the option on the Sly deal leaving The Rangers with a clatty BBC Alba TV deal.
My opinion is that PL got The Rangers a TV deal to try and help them, remember our club was built on being charitable to those less fortunate and PL carried on that 125 years old tradition, to help get a new club up and running.}

Worrying times for us Cardiff City
fans as Celtic didn't pinch any of our
players this close season. Are there
any you boys fancy or are you
developing your own now?

Redbird

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Been developing our own for years mate, Even won the European cup with our own local boys, if there's any decent ones down there be sure to let us know & we'll come get them! Ps. is it not bluebirds? L1888

Agree5 Disagree1

If my memory serves me, i think you won the European Cup in Lisbon in 1967 with
Jimmy Johnstone, McNeil; Lennox. Gemmell etc. I was thinking of a more recent development programme for you buoys! By the way, we play in red now due to the whims of our Malaysian owners. Either that or suffer a similar fate
to your Glaswegian cousins.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just shows you how rotten cardiff are if Celtic keep taking all there beat players . And now Swansea are taking Celtic's . So that must mean Swansea are by far the top team from wales . As if players believe they are taking a step up to Celtic away from Cardiff and others are taking a step up to swansea then that's shows there is only one team from walse worth talking about.

Agree1 Disagree1

Celtic have developed their own players with great success for decades. After the lions we had hay, connolly, mcgrain, dalglish, macari, and so it went on. Cardiff had a free pass into Europe for many years, i cant remember anything they done or any of their players. Another of our recent developments will be coming back when aiden mcgeady plays for spartak in cl.

We don't have Glaswegian cousins.......DH

Redbird get a grip son. They couldnt get out of that midden soon enough. Up here, winning trophies, CL/Europa every season, wonder why eh!
As other poster said you're just another secondary club in your country just like the now defunct club from Govan. A red face to match your new red top!

Redbird.....hows David Marshall getting on? Swings and roundabouts mate!

DazzaBhoy

Agree3 Disagree0

What about big Malky, and the other tims?

Agree2 Disagree0

Some interesting responses. Where do I start. Perhaps by asking what is a "midden" and what are "tims"?
Marshall is doing O.K along with squad players Conway and Cowie. But super Kev is the best of our haggis munchers (how Scotland can leave him out is a mystery). Judas Joe and Adam Matthews couldn't get into our team now though a bit sorry to see Kenny leave. Never mind once you get independence you wont nick any more. Cos you'll all be skint.

Redbird

Agree0 Disagree3

Well Redneck if you dont believe Ledley or Matthews would get into your first choice 11 you are indeed a midden!

DazzaBhoy

Agree2 Disagree0

I assume then Dizzyboy, that a midden is not a vey complimentary term. But your initial response concerning Marshall was fair enough even though we paid out big bucksfor him rather than poach him for nothing. Love a bit of banter me. But that said Judas is not as good as Whittingham, Bellamy, Mutch or Gunarsson. As for Adam, he couldn't get in the side when he was here and we're far better now.Best of luck to Scotland tomorrow by the way.

Redbird

Agree0 Disagree1

Cheers Redneck, having just watched the Scotland game, and the Wales game last night i am worried that Scotland won't even get third in the group! I forgot Belgium had Dembele, Felllaini, Kompany, Hazard, Vermaelen and Lukaku! Then you have Bale, Ramsey, Matthews, Allen and Ledley

Was Adam Matthews not scouted by Man United and Arsenal in his first season playing for Cardiff? Did Cardiff not offer Ledley a large pay check to stay?

I'm not trying to sound patronising mate but have you ever been to Celtic Park? Have you heard the reception players get then when they walk on or score etc?

Matthews and Ledley were out of contract and could have picked their clubs to sign for...they chose not to stay at Cardiff....they picked Celtic as they could play in Champions League.
