Rodgers Wit Lenny as his number 2?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I think Rodgers would need a stab proof vest with a reinforced back. I'm sure there's a couple of ex-CFC and Bolton employees who could give Rodgers theirs' to use.}

We can't go pickin backroom staff again, mon tae flump mate let whoever comes in deal wae that

Why suddenly does everyone want to pick assistants and assistants assistants, I've never seen so maybe people discuss who they want as number 2. With the current board its very unlikely we'll get any of our top 3 choices for manager, let alone assistant/ d. o. f.

If we pick a manager from these islands then the new Manager should appoint his whole staff.
If he doesn't know suitable people maybe he isn't suitable.

Just looked at Celtic news the Daily Rotten has apologised for the disgusting report on safe standing (hillsbourgh) this report sickened me are we planning something on Sunday in support of the pain these relatives have had to endure for all these years ynwa.

Kev 83 for some stupid notion Celtic fans seem to care a faith or a belief in the D R . Every season for the last ten or more seasons they have given ample reasons to throw out their bile and never read it again . The thieves, liars bully headlines in the front page should certainly have ended all contract for ever from anyone with the slightest Celtic interests.

Not every fan old Bhoy. I have never bought the record or sun since my early 20s.

We know it isn't every fan, but even if it's only 10% it is 10% too many . I would have little doubt Kev 83, you would be a fan with common sense, but some r still buying it, not many admit it.

Just caught the start of snyde1 on the way back from work there. keevins seems to be convinced that Lennon will be back for next season! You heard anything ED? Thought Lennon done a good job 1st time round and personally have nothing against him, but I just feel if this is true that it really is underwhelming for us fans! I really don't think the fans will buy this if its true! What do u think ED? And what does everybody else think? I think we need to aim higher after what's happened this season! If this is down to penny pinching once again then I won't be back!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Keevins is only saying that because Kris Commons told him - I think the hunter has finally caught it's prey with a well placed trap.
Lennon is certainly keen but as you'll see on the rumours page Brendan Rodgers is certain that he will be the next manager.}

06 May 2016 18:24:28
Yeh ED I remember u said commons was feeding that idiot keevins info! How do u know Rodgers feels he's a certainty for the job mate? U got some inside info? Hope it's true by the way! Do u think we could pull it off?

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers told someone.}

Where ever Ronnie ends up I wish him good luck.
Here is my question - does anyone think he will take his back room staff with him as coach's/ managers tend to do?
I could be wrong, but I doubt Ronnie will fancy keeping his relationship going with JC post his tenure at paradise.

06 May 2016 18:21:57
Ic, Rd will never in the month of Sundays take JC or JK with him as they were imposed on him by PL and Co.

Agree1 Disagree1

06 May 2016 18:36:20
I hope he does, but I very much doubt it.
I just hope that whoever the next manager is, he isn't forced into keeping this backroom team, but with this board you never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 May 2016 19:23:41
That's my point cprs - RD hands have been tied since day one. Forced back room staff, player revolt (commons) and no say in the board room.
Coupled with the fact RD wasn't ready for the Celtic hotseat, things were never going to go to plan.
Well done for getting five in a row, but the board have to hold their hands up for all of these failings.

We will only be in bother if he takes Big Isa :P.

Something not right R D having worked in Norway and never worked in Scotland wouldn't have known enough Scottish coaches to make an educated appointment as his assistant and an other coach . It was reasonable for Celtic Board to make the appointments . Many Celtic fans reckon Collins was a bad choice, I think it was the club making a bad choice rather than actually making decision was wrong, as RD wouldn't have known who to appoint . Maybe he should have sacked Collins at the end of year1, or maybe R D was happy to work with him.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 May 2016 16:33:48
I agree Celtic has to give RD his place and his moment. But I dearly hope that we have a new manager in place now or at a really advanced stage as to who the new one will be
And I hope who ever it is will have a strong character for the dressing room PL and the press.

The Board cannot hang the Manager out to dry . Ronny couldn't do right after Commons childish tantrum . He shouldn't have to as Commons should have been hauled before the Board and a public announcement of his punishment.

Time to cut through the rubbish and short term fixes. We really only have one choice for the board and the fans which is to back Neil Lennon.

Moyes, Rogers etc would only be here to rebuild their reputations they have both won nothing during their playing and management careers.

Roy Keane might have the motivational attributes but never a manager.
Neil Lennon is a safe pair of hands any manager we get will be slaughtered by the media unsettled by rumours of England's riches on a daily basis we need someone who understands the club build on 5 in a row and set a team up for the champions league Lennon has proved he can do just that.

06 May 2016 16:52:20
Your right Rodgers and Moyes have won nothing but they both maybe see Celtic as there best chance of winning trophies and as for building they're reputations again I've got no problem way that if they can make us a champions league side as iam sure you also wouldn't. I think Neil Lennon reputation has took a bit of a battering and i know he had a tough time at Bolton but he was backed way funds. Will you back Neil if he brings Heskey to celtic park as Griffiths strike partner c'mon everyone due a opinion i know that but time to move on from Neil he had he's turn.

07 May 2016 21:41:55
I don't believe Lennon or anyone else can return as Manager and have anything like what ever success he had .
During Lennon's spell as Manager I was one of his loyal supporters, I just don't want to jeopardise any reputation he has.
