Hi Ed, can you answer a couple of questions is not illegal for rangers to be called rangers in any way shape or form for at least a year since the old company has been liquidated and do you think there will be any more punishments oldco/newco ie stripping of titles or future sanctions. Cheers. {Ed007's Note - Under insolvency laws you can not pass yourself off as another company. Until the EBT FTT's finding are known then Rangers have done nothing wrong to warrant that sort of punishment regarding stripping titles. I do think that there will be further sanctions when/if league entry is determined.}

Don't think my ex bear pals are talking
to me.....
We were discussing pre season and I casually mantioned that Celtic would be building up for new season with games against Ajax, Inter Milan and Real Madrid while ex clubs pre season fixtures included games against Govan Boys Brigade, Benburb and Auchenshuggle Rovers..
really hope they get good crowds...Timalloy
PS regarding my post earlier and Byars joke about jumpers. I hope in keeping with helping the wee diddy teams
Celtic lend ex club some goalposts... and maybe TEN PLAYERS lol

Big apologies to BRIGGS it was his joke about jumpers as goalposts lol Timalloy

Ps hope he still gets his discount when they go to div 3........ LOL Timalloy

Am i somehow missing something here? There is no appetite to hand Sevco a place in the first division of the SFL. McCoist and the various Sevco supporters groups are lobbying for a place in division three.Fair enough. But then McCoist,in another thinly veiled dig at Celtic to pander to the basest element in his clubs support says,"I read the statement from our good friends Celtic, they said that integrity was paramount and we totally agree with that"He goes on,"All i ask is that we are treated the same as every body else,we were deducted ten points, fined 160k and had our Champions League place taken away from us.We are also out of europe for another three years,i would say thats enough,it is time to accept we have been punished". Ok Ally, ten points deducted were because your club entered Administration, thats a consequence not a punishment. Fined 160k which may or may not actually be paid and the Europe ban is because of liquidation, again a consequence of your clubs shoddy management. So it would appear that you have indeed been treated like every one else. But since you do want parity in the rules, try ASKING to APPLY for entry to the third division! Thats the rules. One space has arisen because rangers are no more, therefore a team needs to be accepted to fill the gap.So in the interests of FAIRNESS,im sure you will not mind going head to head with Spartans and Cove Rangers who have three years accounts,a prerequisite for an application, and have been waiting for years to have a crack at applying. No matter how you cut it Ally, you are receiving preferential treatment by even being allowed to apply..............green jhedi

Believable23 Unbelievable1

Very true GJ! All this sh*t we've been punished enough, I think not! Sally saying "we want to go to division 3 as it gives us a better chance to rebuild" is nonsense! He's only trying to scaremonger the authorities to letting them into div 1 without any sanctions if u ask me! Watch this space, I wouldn't put it past the authorities doing this! If so then Scottish football is dead! If rangers get into div 1 what's to stop Hearts, Dundee utd, Aberdeen etc going into liquidation and expecting the same treatment?

Byars

Agree13 Disagree3

Green Jhedi, our Sally's mask is slowly starting to slip....
On another point he is doing presentations with Green, then going to RFFF rally and saying do not buy season tickets, he is even being two faced to his own people.
In one way I would love our "bomber" to gain control of ex club, then it really would die....Timalloy

Agree6 Disagree1

@Byars.
"All this sh*t we've been punished enough"
Surely the punishments meted out to Ranges FC are quantifiable?
They are the maximum possible penalties under the present rules.
The only option that was left was total expulsion from the game, however it was decided this was to harsh a punishment for financial mismanagement.
What would you suggest as a harsher and more suitable punishment?
P.O.B.

Agree1 Disagree9

Rangers punishments so far!
1. deducted 10 points for entering administration.
2. Banned for Europe next season for entering administration.
3. £160,000 fine which hasn't been paid yet.
4. Banned from Europe for another 3 years for showing no annual accounts for 3 years (I wonder why)
Duel contracts case still to come, if found guilty all trophies won in this period should be taken away.
All newco's in the past have been demoted to Div 3 which should also happen.
What about the big tax case still to come and the fact u's managed to write £130 million worth off debt?
Criminal investigation into Murray n Whytes running and takeover off the club?
That enough for u P.O.B?

Byars

Agree10 Disagree2

Byars,

I see that you, like most Celtic fans, only believe the media when it suits yous?
£130M debt?
Could you kindly prove this....

Well seeing u's haven't had audited accounts for 3 years that's impossible!
Duff n Duffer came up with that figure and they are the ones running ur club, they have seen the accounts not us!

Fat sally is a ****
every time he opens his mouth, a bigger foot appears to be stuck in it. he's constantly contradicting himself and coming away with statements that appeal to the lowest common denominator.

what is it with dead rangers, their fans, and sympathisers in the media and their inability to grasp facts?

taco {Ed038's Note - There will be no slagging off on this site, 1st warning}

Agree1 Disagree0

Byars, I take it then you agree with POB that enough punishment has already been handed out because it sure sounds as if you do.

On a more sensible note, EBT's and dual contracts have yet to be decided. If found guilty Rangers Oldco will be held accountable and my guess is, there will be criminal charges laid against those individuals responsable for Tax crimes. Rangers Newco have so far suffered the footballing sanctions for Oldco having gone into
administration/liquidation. IF the dual contracts issue goes against Oldco, Newco will then face the footballing fall out from that.

Agree0 Disagree2

Seriously Ed? ****?
there's been far worse than that on here....but i'll take my punishment like a man....and sulk away in the corner lol

taco {Ed038's Note - I'm just saying mate because its us Ed's that get it in the neck whenever there's that carry on}

Agree0 Disagree0

No think u must have picked me up wrong mate! Duel contracts case still to come? big tax case still to come? Criminal involvement in the Murray n whyte take over! What about Campbell Ogilvie receiving an EBT then moving into a position within the SFA? I could go on and on! Rangers have cheated scottish football for well over 10 years now and in my opinion should have the book thrown at them!

This was in the S*n today so make of it what you will. What i want to know is,if somehow this is true would that mean he can't play in Champ Lge if he's now played in the Europa?

NEIL LENNON flew to Belfast last night to make a personal check on Celtic target Markus Henriksen.

The Hoops boss broke off from pre-season training to watch the £2.5million-rated Rosenborg kid face Crusaders in a Europa League qualifier.

Celtic have been watching Henriksen for months and could now step up their bid after the gaffer’s spying mission.

Hamburg are also tracking the 19-year-old, but Celtic can offer the lure of the Champions League.

With Ki Sung-Yueng likely to be sold this summer, Norwegian international Henriksen would be the ideal replacement for him.

The English market is truely way over valued ....Portsmouth 3 div you could say are paying Ben Haim 36k per week ...Surely football cant substain this ...There will be a few more clubs joining RFC in the archives in the near future ...I can see CFC if they keep a firm eye on the books overtaking some of these pedigreed European teams and competing with moderate success in The CL......TTTS

Just saw fat sally on sly sperts moaning about having to go into div 3,surely he realises that by singling out "our good friends from across the city "he is setting himself up for criticism.
He claimed that "we totally agree that we have to go to div 3 for the sake of integrity"...and his nose just got longer and
longer.
McCoist should try shutting up along with that other dumb schmuck Broon because their true goal in life is to rally the rag tag bully boys into action...remember "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE"
I was reading this morning about Alex Ferguson leaving/ walking away from rangers because apparently the board didnt approve
of him being married to a catholic, well Ally he had a set of balls and look what he has achieved, you'll never come anywhere
near him or Lenny for that matter because we can see through you

Celtic development squad and some
squad players will play in the Firhill
tournament on 21 July. All the supporters
clubs are asking Celtic fans and others
to support this tournament and help
our neighbours Partick thistle with
a boost to their funds.
I also hope Celtic Fc in this new more
friendly and honest football season
help the smaller teams by sending out
some of our younger boys to gain
first team experience, helping both them
and the smaller team.
Celtic always have spare nets and footballs
teams like Albion Rovers, who survive
on a shoestring budget could really
do with kit like this.
I want Celtic to be the "BIG" team
in every sense of the word and help
as many smaller teams as we can.
Also we as Celtic fans can play our
part also. Yours in Celtic Timalloy

Gday all

Not posted much recently due to the fact that so much is going on my thoughts would take up far too much space and knock all the posts from before off the page if it got posted lol

However @fritzagrandold has shared an article that is deffo worth a read if you have not yet seen it. Someone looks like they have put a lot of effort into this and based on first reading appears credible and relatively accurate in the work they have done.

Worth a read for any football fan in Scotland.

With regard to the rumour re proposed sharing of match day gate receipts. I believe this rumour is in response to an article in one of the red tops. The answer would appear quite simply to this even in these tough economic times is that we all as many as possible buy season tickets. Which would leave a small percentage of the ground say 10% approx 6000 seats available to travelling support. All unsold returned to the club three days prior to match. A public sale on the day. Limiting amount of revenue generated on the day which could be split. As the cant expect to get their mitts on season ticket monies as we would be entitled to a share of the other clubs season ticket money.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have never heard anything more ridiculous in my life , Celtic have 53,000 season ticket holders and have attendances of 50,000 plus , Motherwell eg , bring 500 fans to Celtic Park (Celtic fill more than half of theirs) , how can they expect half the gate ? it will not and can not happen , it is morally wrong , i pay my £500 season ticket money to finance CELTIC who i have supported for over 40 years , if i wanted Motherwell to have it i'd buy a Motherwell season ticket ... simples .

Dear all I would like to ask you to consider and reply to a few thoughts
1 Any who believe Scottish football to be dead and Celtic fc to be less of a world football club should look at our pre season opponents, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Ajax and ok Norwich.
2 The positions of Campbell Ogilvie, Neil Doncaster and Stuart Regan are untenable and should resign ASAP.
3 The SPL and SFL are a busted flush and need to be dissolved with a new Scottish National Football League set up.
I suggest the following a 14 team SNFL 1 and a 20 team SNFL 2 with all others in 4 regional league structures with promotion, relegation and play offs at all levels in a clearly defined pyramid system .
SNFL 2 to include a number of development teams from the top teams in the image of the Spanish system.
A season to begin in February and end 2nd week of December
A SNFL TV showing exclusively any Scottish football on a subscription only basis

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I would go for your suggestions. An SNFL
TV contract would be great and better value that Sly. JN

Agree3 Disagree0

Most of that makes perfect sense.

Howwever should (long shot i know) a scottish team get out the group stages of european competion the knockout phase begins at the start of our season. Which may be a detriment. As i said its a long shot.

League recontruction is a must in the next 2 years. Its been needed for a long time as has been evident even before this mess the SPL breakaway has not worked as intended.

This idea of yours is a fairer way to work it, i have always wanted a development team in a lower division for Celtic and other teams. Whereby the rules are they cannot field anyone over 23 Registrations of players can be changed at transfer windows for a nominal fee that goes towards the admin of the league setup.

Radical hinking is required. A self ran TV deal or station is a definate way forward. If we can cut down on 'Illegal' streaming to supply a worthwhile product, A site where you can stream multicast matches (like the NHL) or even watch re runs of other games at an affordable price would set a great model.

The infrastructure and knowledge is not hard to come by (although is expensive) but not impossible. Im sure you could even reach a deal with the BBC to use their cameramen and commentators for the match broadcast. Im sure if they got a wee fee for it they would do it. Give them rights to show a game on terrestrial TV each week aswell. It is entireley workable.

Only problem i can see is the start and end times. But it is workable imo.

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Points 2 & 3 dead on. Not sure about development teams though.

How about Henry McLeish to head up a new system?

It certainly needs a thorough clean out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought your were making some sense there until the feb - dec bull. Even bypassing traditions of playing aug - may, what calibre of player do you expect to sign when we are on a completely different season from all other top leagues in europe? Do you really want to be cast in the same bracket as the Irish league or Allsvenskan etc etc

Mikey Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

OP, Evinguu funnily enough I posted on RTC in response to the television argument.
The gist of my post was to look into feasibility of an SPL tv channel ( I am certain some work was done on this before) But we need a professional service with slick presenters (NOT Burley)
and good camera work.
We need to work out how many viewers we need to make money. Charge a reasonable fee, engage with all the ex pats around the world and offer them a good package at a sensible price. Then we all know about 15,000+ fans of smaller teams attending cup finals then disappearing again, try and get them to at least support their team by buying an SPL tv package.
Get all the facts and figures together, then we can even approach Sky, BBC, BT, ESPN and say to them we can make £10m+ a year off our tv, what can you offer?
If Sky, ESPN etc see they could lose their subscriptions to SPL tv they will deal. Timalloy

ive heard a few people mention that the spl clubs will be using their new voting power to try and spread the income from gate receipts evenly between all 12 clubs. this sounds absurd.surely its illegal? do you know ed if this is done on any other leagues?

MK BHOY {Ed001's Note - it used to be done in all leagues, the SPL took away the equal spread of income, out of greed. Look at what a mess it has made of it! It is not illegal and should be compulsory. Bigger clubs will still make more money from merchandising etc, but they need the smaller clubs to compete or there is just no point having a league!}

Just seen Goram's interview on Sly Spurts, where he claims that it's alreday a done deal to get Newco into Div 1 and where he states that at a RFFF meeting where McCosit was present, Rangers staff who were present told Green that they did not trust them.

Goram is backing the so called Brown takeover.

How much more ridiculous is this going to get.

Funny for us Celtic supporters, buy why are Newco supporters not coming out and telling these guys to shut up.

Fair enough someone like Smith, backed by Jim McColl and Douglas Park, but these comedians. Unbelievable.
