After watching those Huddersfield goals...we had better beat Peterhead by 6-0 ! I can't be doing with living on my nerves again on Sunday. Mrs E

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Come on Mr E grow a pair. Celtic should beat Peterhead 6-0 no problem. You are at it with this nerves stuff. Just take yer aftershock and calmsmybumlmao.

Just watching Huddersfield game on TV, Jordan Rhodes has 2 goals already. Another couple of million on his transfer fee. Oh well we can dream of him in the Hoops! Maybe Sally will put in an offer as he has been told he does not need to sell (aye right) before buying anybody. Whyte will "bankroll" players coming in (aye right again) Timalloy
Heard he likes Kenny Rogers and his favourite song is
"You got to know when to hold them,
Know when to FOLD them,
Know when to walk away,
and know when to RUN (like heck from creditors)

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hattrick for the wee man, seriously fire a decent bid in see what happens after all theres no harm in trying

Paddy {Ed007's Note - 5 now Paddy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Timalloy is steaming lol. You are slurping your post lol. You keep repeating yourself lmao. Now he is singing. All the signs of one to many lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats 5 noo. Lets forget Rhodes, weve no chance. Bet he goes for at least 8 million.

Joeshmo1888

Agree0 Disagree0

5 in 70 mins , he'll be off to one of the big prem clubs in the morning , what a time to score 5 and counting in a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Ano ed, dont think the opposition were really anything tho but it's still a great feat to score 5 goals what ever level you play at.

Ed do you know if Rasmussen is actually back in Glasgow from his loan?

Big beggar could come in and save us actually having to fork out anything for a striker. Stranger things have happened.

Btw - If Bangura was to go out on loan I'd prefer if it were to another Scottish team so we can see him first hand.

Maybe offer him on loan to Falkirk and we'll gie them a couple of hundred grand for Farid El Allagui, guy can score goals and has got previous at scoring against THEM. ;o)

re bangura, the boy cant be judged on the little time he has played so far , there is talk of his agent being told to find him a knew clubbut would it not be better to loan him out to an spl club until the summer and then we could see if he is up to playing here and if not cut our losses in the summer

Just wondered what other guys thoughts are with needing a new CB?

Few months ago I'd have said defo but with Rogne's performance in the O/F game and Charlie's maturity I think we have enough at the back.

Richybhoy {Ed007's Note - It's a fair point Richy.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Would agree, with Big Dan, K Wilson and Loovens for backup, and also Wanyama, although prefer he stays in midfield. {Ed007's Note - Lustig can play CB as well.}

Just a note to Timalloy, re earlier posts on Broony. Don't know if you've misread summat mate or I've typed summat you don't like but I don't recall calling anyone names that's not my style bud. I'm not the confrontational type, I luv the banter and will defend myself and my fellow Celts all day if reasonable but sometimes mate we don't always agree on topics.

Apologies if any offence caused, accidental or otherwise, merely offered what I thought was a constructive opinion mate in reply to the OP's concerns regarding Ki possibly leaving.

Shaunybhoy - Ed don't need to post it if you can get it to Tim any other way, didn't mean any offence mate I know we've covered this topic previously and it divides opinion eh. {Ed007's Note - I'll post it up Shauny, I'm not sure what you mean though. We're all entitled to our opinions though, and you must be the first person to apologise to Tim! lol}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha ha no worries Ed, I know Tim mixes it up but I like the cut of his jib so to speak, he'll say what others won't and his jokes make me smile (not laugh though lol), didn't want any hard feelings, he made a comment about "not calling other Tims names", I can only think cos I called Broony a bampot, was quicker than typing headless chicken or so I thought lol. Lesson learned eh.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - Ah right, that's cool.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaunybhoy, thanks for the apology (as ED007 says a FIRST on either site) well I owe you an apology Shaun I misread your posts about "bampots" I thought it was directed at fellow Tims, we leave the unpleasantness to our neighbours, most of us Tims post with a smile and a twinkle in our eyes hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree1

ED007, two "firsts" in one day, an apology and someone who LIKES my jokes ha ha. (I feel some jokes coming on, anyone of a nervous disposition please heed this warning ) Shaunybhoy ED007 loves my jokes also ha ha LOL Timalloy {Ed007's Note - *groan*

Agree0 Disagree1

Scott Brown defo divides the support anyway, I know some who would have a party if he was sold.

I do think we've really missed him though - Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

Easy tiger Tim!! You're no Kevin Bridges mate still some work to do on the old routine before you brave the big stage.

All good though mate, all good.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - He's not even as funny as Tiger Tim!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaunybhoy, on Rangers site I am the pantomine "villain" as ED007 will tell you, somehow they have never "warmed" to me, for the life of me I cannot think why? LOL Timalloy
PS ED007 I see wee Pat is back, any word from Tony or how his nephew is getting on? {Ed007's Note - No, I haven't heard from Tony or Neil over the holidays.}

Heard the news on Kayal , Lee McCulloch is a disgrace to the beautiful game, i said it at the time his challenge on Kayal was was aimed to cause injury, but lets face it this clogger has history in employing this thug like tactic, was it not him that done Broony at Castle Greyskull earlier in the season?.....Stevie

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thats quite a serious accusation your making there Stevie bhoy.
Re-run your well worn out tape and take another good hard look at the challenge.
Both went in hard, but without malice.
Unfortunately Kayal came off worse, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Bosley.

Agree1 Disagree1

Stevie, I am Celtic to the core, and I hate McCulloch for his snide tackles, but I am with Bosley on this one, both players went in full bloodied, even Lennon said it was 50/50. Sorry to see Kayal missing for so long. If you want to condemn tackles in Old firm game then condemn Healy and lafferty for two dreadful tackles that a decent referee would have punished with a red card. Hope you do not argue their cases Bosley? hail hail Timalloy

All this speculation about Ki to Villa, I think he is a good player. Especially now with Kayal out until April, you should be trying to hold onto him. {Ed007's Note - The move to Villa never really got off the ground anyway mate.}

In all fairness with Bangura, he hasnt played many games and when he does he get 10 mins. Should give him a chance against Peterhead.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Why, if Celtic want to sell him, he has no future. Young Keatings, if fit, should be given a chance.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah I can't see him being risked for thst game even tho I'd of loved to see him just play 90mins so we could all see what he had to offer. But Ed and a few buds have informed me that he no longer has a future at our club? So I can't see the powers that be letting 2million play v Peterhead punters who will be physical so he will not be risked I can pretty much guarantee that one bud.

ED007, I was reading on another site (I know, but this is my first love!) that Mr Whyte met with the RSA (rangers supporters association) and was quoted as saying "we would hope that Glasgow Rangers FC would be able to fend off administration but that it would not be end of the world if we did"
My reading of this is another attempt to "soften" up the supporters for the "A" word.
Also as it was pointed out, imagine if Dermot Desmond said this about our club. Reporters would be camped outside Parkhead 24/7 with the imminent news of Celtic FC's "Demise"
Is it not strange that the laptop loyal have not run with Whyte's comments? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - It didn't come out until late last night Tim.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Obsessed Mr Whyte Tim aren't you quite scary actually. Every Rangers fan knows there is the threat of Administration we have known for months its nothing knew. It's not Craig Whyte's fault if we do end up in administration he never ran the club before.

Billyboy1

There is nothing new in Whyte's comments, they have been made previously.

Can't believe we could be without Kayal for along as being quoted. That a real blow is that the bet that the shame can do injure our players!
Always hated Mcculloch even more so now what. Bloody clown he is...
TT88 {Ed007's Note - Considering he lost the appeal on his ban makes it worse.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

All i hear is a lot of biterness the tackle was a complete 50/50 both got the ball ... u cannot blame lcculloch for being the stronger tougher player lol .... na in all honesty it wasnt even a fould let alone a dirty act

Agree0 Disagree2

Are you joking? It's been proven the guy is a past it thug, who can't keep up with players so he elbow's or kicks them!
I couldn't hate him any more if he tried..
I suppose you'll be telling us next that Healy's "tackle" or should I say "common assult" was a fair tackle too??
Get a grip eh bud??
TT88

Agree1 Disagree0

To be fair, both players went in recklessly, Kayal went in over the ball, McCulloch went in studs up. (I thought the injury was Kayals studs getting caught in the turf, whilst taking the impact at the same time)
I don't like seeing players getting injured and at the time I was surprised that kayal went off as i thought it was fairly innocuous, two lads going in hard.

He's not my favourite player (being one of yous that was going to be hard anyway) but i hope, like i did with Izziguire, that his recovery is sooner rather than later.

But that being said, you can't single out McCulloch and not a couple of your own, its just mental (stokes, Mastrovic, Brown, and Kayal himself).... Instead i Suggest we come together, and all Hate Ian Black... His Tackle on Jelavic, his Two footed lunge on a downed Pat MCCourt....let us aim this venom we have for each other at the worst excuse for a footballer i have ever seen since Egil Ostenstad and Wayne Biggins

Rikkisixx {Ed007's Note - I can't stand Black Rikki, and I've met him!}

Agree0 Disagree0

True I hate this guy also. He should stick to the painting and decorating where he belongs! Then just take out his hate and anger for his fellow man in some pub in Georgie. My wee bro lives in Leith he used to work for hibs and was informed that he has to go out literally with 8-12 guy's as he's so hated in Edinburgh, what a shame eh?
CB

Agree0 Disagree0

Never met him, but think i would take a quick dislikening to him if i did. :)

Rikkisixx {Ed007's Note - Most people do mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok Timmy perhaps u can explain why not a single professional in the game has stated that Mcculloch was at fault, ur manager thought it was a 50/50 and was unfortunate stop ur greetin and get ur players to man up ! and no i thought healys was a foul ? dunno ur point there thought we were talking about Kayal and Mcculloch or can u not stay on point ?

Again show me a single quote saying that Mcculloch was int he wrong i could show u unpteen posts were pro's and outher pundits think it was just one of those things two payers went in equally comitted ..... one was a bhoy the other a MAN ! lol

Agree2 Disagree1

McCulloch dived into the tackle knowing he would injure Kayal.......and he did! Thats why McCulloch was rolling about like he'd been shot, so he wouldn't get booked or worse. But he shouldn't have been playing in the first place. Incidentally McCulloch isn't a man, he's a coward! As seen with the elbow incident only last week!

DazzaBhoy

Agree2 Disagree1

Ha bitter bitter bitter ....... so wen kayal went in over the ball .... check the replays or lie and say he didnt that was completely innocent .... its a mans game ...... for men deal with it.... again mcculloch cant be blamed for being more of a man

Agree1 Disagree1

Well Dazzabhoy....We're on two different wavelengths.

I thought the two went in fullblodded and recklessly for the ball, And if you look real hard (without the green specs on) at the replay, its his planted foot that gets the injury (a bad one at that) after McCulloch connects with the ball and his full weight is carried through on Kayals ankle

Both players went in hard, one came out injured the other didn't, it could have happened either way.

I have seen the way Kayal flies into challenges, he shows no fear, but is also very reckless, which is something he will learn to control, unlike McCulloch who, at his age is alway going to be reckless in challenges, and will probably give himself a bad one in the future.

Rikkisixx

Agree1 Disagree0

I also think Dazzabhoy that your giving McCullochs intelect a bit too much credit.."Diving in knowing he would injure Kayal".... Big Jig doesn't know what day of the week it is most the time.

Rikkisixx {Ed007's Note - LMAO.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcculloch more of a man than Kayal eh stay of the doobies you dope ;)

Random post but anyway is their any other team in Britan (maybe even Europe although language is a barrier lol) who have as many player songs than Celtic ? Ie tony stokes,kayal kayal,wanayama song,charlie mulgrew,ooo a samaras,hooper etc ?

Lenny

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ehhh... Rangers?! {Ed007's Note - Well what players?}

Agree0 Disagree1

That's a real blow if we are to lose Kayal for up to four month's due to that d1ck Mcculoch! Clearly has seen his best days, a despicable kick at Kayal.
From a desperate player at a despairing club who are losing everything due to greed started by another thug by the name of Souness!!
Cowards who will get what is due to them.....

Agree1 Disagree1

All the good ones Ed....... like eh........ Thomas Bendiksen! oh no that's right he never even got a game so got fed up and p1ssed off, for less money too!!
Or Jaelavic.....oh that's right he's mulling over which EPL team to go to LOL!
The list goes on and on and on.....
Oh it's great fun to laugh at "THE SHAME"
Those couple of clips on "only an excuse" were just priceless LOL!
Lets all laugh at Rangers!!

not a rumour guys sadly there isn't much hot transfer gossip in oz. but i'm hearing whispers of john sutton from hearts or jon daly from dun utd. i'd be pretty gutted if that was the standard we were looking at. i mean are any of those 2 any better than murphy who has been punted to ipswich? would like to see a few million being dropped on a big no nonsense centre half and a big 6ft plus striker with a bit of pedigree, maybe zigic at birmingham who cant be happy dropping from valencia to mid-table championship, at least we could dangle the european carrot next season. anyway happy new year. all the best for 2012. mon the hoops.

I think we should go after Rhodes. He may not have scored at a top level but in his career he scored 75 goals in 149 apps in all competitions so far this season. look at the strikers we have now Samaras has scored 88 goals in 332 apps in all competitions, Stokes has scored 77 goals in 191 apps in all competitions so far and will get more, Hooper has scored 128 goals in 316 apps in all competitions so far and also will get more. Bangura has scored 64 goals in 118 apps in all competitions. Rhodes is aged 21, Samaras is aged 26, Stokes is aged 23, Hooper is aged 23, Bangura is aged 22. Rhodes is the youngest and will only get better.

I'm not understanding the group of people saying Ki could be sold, the boy is only 22 and is continually improving his only problem is serious consistency such as the Old Firm matches. Personally, I think he may have just been overwhelmed by it all. I'd keep him without a doubt - even if he does start on the bench more often than he's been used to in his time with the club, he's still a fantastic option to come off the bench and change the style of play and I can see him continually looking to improve so Lennon will find it difficult to ignore him. We're Celtic Football Club - we need competition for positions to move forward. Not just 11 great players and a few others tossed on the bench.

CM67.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

With a full team to choose from would ki make your starting 11? What possition and at whose expense? I remember the fans were split over Aiden, now he's just an after thought ( and mcgeady was one of the most important player in the team, if not the most important). Ki is a squad player with promise. I seriously think it would be good for both parties, us as we would get funds to stenghten key areas, for ki as I think he could excel in England. I'd sell but put a sell on clause in as he could do an arteta and move on for double money. He's not suited to the football in the SPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you CM, but apparently a lot of Celtic fans would prefer we kept the ever improving Scott Brown, chief Cheerleader and allround bampot that he is (agree to disagree Ed, Miko and the rest).

A midfield made up of Kayal, Wanyama & Ledley, with Ki as our option if we need to change the pattern of play etc appeals to me more than keeping Broony. I'm prob out on my own but I don't care, I won't be blinded by his desire to win he's still pish compared to the rest of our MF's imo.

Ask yourself this, out of the 10 games in a row we've won, how many did Broony feature in or make any impact? One, two? He's being left behind by younger, better players.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - How many did we lose without him Shauny?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Name a game where ki has came on and changed it. Hes bone idol lazy sell him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed, don't like being a FACT kinda guy but you opened the door mate:-

Lost v St Johnstone - Broony played
Lost v Sion - Broony played
Lost v Rangers - Broony played
Lost v Hearts - Broony didn't play
Drew v Hibs - Broony didn't play

I'm sure there's one or two more results that didn't go our way but I think the point I made still stands, Broony just isn't as affective as people seem to think. Again just my opinion mate.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - What about the Europa games? And what game did he got injured in? Brown's injury tied in with our slump in form.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaunybhoy, make your point without calling fellow Tims names, we all have our opinions. Brown drives us forward more and moans at players which we need. KI is a player I like, it took him a while to adjust to Scottish football but is now a good player with his range of passing and free kicks. But if offer of £6m+ came in I would take it. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2012 01:27:57
Just thought I was wondering why EPL don't seem to offer good money for are players it's cause rangers have sold so many flops for 8mil from bumsong to hutton I could go on but once the bluebottlers have folded and are called farmfood rangers the EPL will invite Scotland's best team to play down there and Celtic will accept and lave there reserves in spl so we can win 2 leagues every year lol {Ed007's Note - Never going to happen.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I know nice dream tho but I can see rangers maybe not folding but a re-name and a 25 point deduction for next campain and if really unlucky 15 point this year if it was Celtic in the state rangers are in I would bet we would be told sell all are players change are name and play in east stirlingshires league with probs a 40point deduction lol

06 Jan 2012 01:12:42
I just want to point something out. Everton spent 16 million on Fellaini from standard leige in belgium a few years back.IMO the belgian league is no better than the spl so why should we sell our top players for about half of fellaini price. I say there is 4 ~ 5 players we should b lookin for 10 to 15 for (hooper,kayal,izzy,forrest,ki. Wanyama and matthews aswell if the keep progressing the way they are) there is no reason why we shouldnt hold english clubs for ransom for our top players, who do they think they are if they look down at celtic thinking they can get players on the cheap. Why should we do the dirty work of scouting top talent so clubs down south can poach. WE ARE CELTIC.WE SHALL NOT BE BULLIED

Believable6 Unbelievable2

16 million seriously he shocking too.
TT88 {Ed007's Note - Big Screech is a bit hit and miss for me, but one of the regulars on the Utd site goes on about him all the time.}

I've got to say one player who I think will go to a bigger club in Jan is the goalie for Wigan, the bald guy, El..something??(I cant remember his name) I'm sure Ed may be able to help me out.
But this guy has been amazing every week on MOTD the amount of quality saves he pulls off week in week out,IMO I think it would be great to see him at a good club. As he's kind of wasted a wee bit when he has to pick the ball out the net three or four times a game after often being their best player.
what do you think Ed??
CB67 {Ed007's Note - Ali Al-Habsi it is. I doubt he will leave this window. Wigan don't want to lose anyone, they don't have a very large squad.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

He's a class goalie tho eh??
I can still see you laughing!! OMG !!
CB {Ed007's Note - He is a good keeper, I'm sure he will have caught a few of the EPL's managers eye. Wigan would be gubbed instead of beat every week without him.}
