Is this really how bad things have got? The manager of celtic is not allowed to celebrate our club winning?

F@CK OFF ANDY WALKER!

No matter who is manager, EVERY manager has the right to celebrate ANY win!

GOD BLESS RONNY DEILA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is astonishing the things they dig up to give this man grief. he explained it was his way of thanking the away support for travelling everywhere. This is a very common thing in Europe, especially Germany, but it seems to be a problem for traitors who want to keep their tainted incomes secure, Sutton included.

Agree1 Disagree0

Green Jhedi, its a witch hunt against him. Any manager who leads club to a win has right to celebrate.

Another thing I've noticed is the martin odegaard situation. Odegaard this, odegaard that. If club sign him credit will go to john sac (park)

RONNY DEILA BARMY ARMY

Agree0 Disagree0

We have had to put up with this rubbish about our managers for decades . The only problem is that there are always some of our fans who believe the bs stirrers .

Agree1 Disagree0

I for one am starting to get fed up with previous Celtic players having nothing good to say about our club.

Andy Walker is just a clown.

Chris Sutton and John Hartson, Christ if we win a treble this year I would love to see these clowns eat there own words.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said my piece about McCann and other muppets like Keevins and Guidi who revel in anti-Celtic garbage; but the most offensive culprits are guys like Provan, Walker and Nicholas etc etc who were more than happy to take the adulation, medals and cash from our beloved club, but stick the boot in at every opportunity.
The way they bend the knee to SLY and bad mouth Celtic (and advocate the Sevco scenario) is disgusting.

That is the best performance by a celtic side I have seen since we beat cally thistle 3-1 just before the juventus game 2 years ago. I know it was only 1 nil but some of the passing and moving today was brilliant to watch. Play football the glasgow celtic way. Well done ronnie and the bhoys. Keep it up. Hail hail

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Totally in control all game, even allowing for a poor murderwell it was, at times, lovely stuff. One thing I will say is if Charlie gets in ahead of Biton I will be worried. All game he just kept things ticking over and always looks to pass forward.

Agree1 Disagree0

If Guidetti had his shooting boots on yesterday it could easily have been a 5 or 6 nothing shot. I was really impressed with the performance and I hope Deila can see Biton offers the team so much more than Mulgrew.

Had a pub discussion on Friday with a mixed bunch of guys over strength of lower division teams over some so called premiership teams.
With the Kilmarnock manager coming out in all the media saying he was not embarrassed by his team's poor showing at Ibrox in the cup even after wee Alloa's great display, argument went on my side that some premier managers seem to forget who is paying their wages when they meet Sevco and are happy to accept defeat.
Compare that to the absolute honest endevours you get from little part time players who do not have a thousandth of Sevco resources yet succeed due to no little grit and some good teamwork.
We need the wee teams honesty to filter upwards, does anybody agree with me on here?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

They can't filter up because the clubs due to cash restrictions don't have the infrastructure to support a professional side from their gate takings. i'm full of admiration for the guys that put in a full week graft then battle their hearts out but they are semi pro because that is the level that they play. I like to see a bit of a cup run for the wee teams but that is their stage. Its down to the local population catchment that the teams have available and the cash that can be generated which isn't enough to support a big side. The two biggest city's have 5teams of a decent size and only two have been able to stay in th premiership. I admire the guts shown but most of those clubs will never have the financial gusto. Pampered pros and opposition managers with shady alignments is what we are stuck with.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you, some of the premiership teams go to Ibrox scared to death.
Full marks to teams like Alloa and Cowdenbeath, who although they lost the match played with an attitude that puts these premiership sides to shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

With some clubs it's about habit and attitude as they assume they are not going to win - so they don't.
The annoying factor is certain players of these teams that don't try a leg and boast about their allegiances to other clubs on social media.

Agree0 Disagree0

Their main problem is they think they are playing original rangers and this team are a far cry from that. They should be drumming into the players this club is two years old and pretty poor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Truth be told the teams they've played from spl, would be mid table championship teams this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Some premiership teams go to Ibrox set up in a way that prevents them from giving their best . Kilmarnock manager should have been sacked after his team's non performance against Scotland 's newest club .
Little Alloa missing 9 first teamers could fall two goals behind and still go on and beat the new club .

Jungle Jim, regards the blatantly biased McCann, he is without doubt the worse I've heard on radio or TV. I've taken to watching on mute as a direct result of his incredible loathing for Celtic.
Regards the game today, we should have cruised it by 5 or 6, reminded me of my days in the boys enclosure watching big Yogi and co camp out in the oppositions box and win 1 nil, or draw nil nil :)

Well done RD on a good display. (Don't faint guys lol). I genuinely thought we were great today at times. this is the type of football I want to see. Inventive movement, slick passing, chances created by the load. BUT I also thought there were rookie mistakes. 3 subs in last 20 mins all forward players when we just 1 up is not a good idea. Against better opposition and 11 players and better finishing we will not continue to see games out that way. Our shape in last 10 - 15 mins was terrible. I thought I was watching sevco doing their best to throw it away lol.
I also think we would have better quality in final third if Commons played instead of stokes (I know he scored the winner).Or even better sign a better player come Jan. Another thought is that RD says we were brilliant first 20 mins (we were) but he also says if we can do that for 90 we will be a top team. I think this is impossible as the pace we started at wub be impossible to keep up for 90. The catalyst for this pressing is usually SJ and he was brilliant durin that period and is prob 1 o the fittest in team. But even he cannot keep it going for 90 as in my opinion all of his great performances come in the 1 st half and he tends to fade 2nd half. I have said before I genuinely think the manager is asking the players for something they can't do. But in saying that I now seeing progress little by little.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rayman if Deila had bought on defensive players as subs today, some posters would have slaughtered him . I agree with him we need the same tempo and intelligent running off the ball for 90mins as we had for the opening twenty . We don't need everyone charging around at full pace for the 90 mins, but what we do need is enough players taking their turns to keep Celtic playing at a high tempo that no other Scottish team can handle . If and when we can do that we have a chance of really making a mark in Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tonev was a head scratcher for me, has not showed anything to warrant a jersey.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder has Deila done enough to merit not having to rely on the next couple of results to keep his job .
I would like to think he has achieved enough to satisfy even the most negative of posters .

First of all :- Neil McCann GIRFUY! The biased and blinkered commentary of this wee nyaff and the rest of the SLY mankie mob means only one thing; Celtic are winning and are obviously causing you extreme pain and anguish and long may it continue.

Now the game itself:- Obviously we should have thrashed this mob and the game should have been over in the first half. However, a serious of missed chances/bad judgement made the scoreline farcical.
I thought a lot of the play was inventive and very creative, but maybe over elaborate at times?
When they were reduced to 10 men it really should have opened the floodgates, but Guidetti had a mare and Forrest also missed a good few chances.
As much as we dominated and impressed, I was on my feet for most of the game, infuriated at the lack of goals from our mis-firing forwards.
This has happened in a good few games and as much as I expect it to sort itself out - it does nothing for the nerves when the opposition (with a man down) finish the game strongly and threaten to score.
We really need to finish these teams off and instil our superiority with goals as a lapse in concentration or mistake by our defence - which is very possible and all the good work from Johansen, Brown etc etc etc is all for nothing.
However, at the end of the day it's another win and we are playing good stuff, so once we do find our shooting boots we should be well on our way.
Well played Celts.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

JJ, don't think it will be long before we are the complete package. Things are coming along nicely, obviously the final ball and finishing needs worked on.

I personally want players to pass it when a player is in a better position, just like Stefan did to Stokes.

Said it to a couple of mates earlier, we will hit double figures against someone this year and I will not feel sorry for them one bit. ( MAYBE it will come against Fat Sally's crew )

Agree1 Disagree1

I think your over reacting mate. I agree it did seem like murderwell were strong at the end but I think that is just our perception because it was only 1-0.

The free header was a worry though!

Agree1 Disagree0

The best bit of news for me was Izzy and Bitton

my worries would be

why was VVD out left and playing like a central midfielder at 1-0 with 15 minutes to go?

why is it that Efe always let's opponents come inside and get a shot away?

there was a 5 minute spell (75-80th minute) where there was no shape and no discipline and we looked like the team with a man short

the overall performance was good but there remains a lot of work to do but the energy, enthusiasm and lead up play to "chances" was much (much!) better

one last were moan (other than some superb Izzy crosses) the general delivery from AS, SJ and Forrest was abysmal

Agree1 Disagree0

Guidetti's misses today were a worry for me. I think he got excellent service and we need our main striker to be more clinical. Having said that he converted beautiful with his over head kick and wasn't off side.

Agree1 Disagree0

Paradisewon it's not true that Efe always let's opponents run past him and get shots away . Efe is playing very well for Celtic just now. Anyone watching Celtic over the past few weeks would know

interesting first half

1-0 seems like a poor "innings" after such a positive start. Stokes (goalscorer) has been abysmal other than goal. Bitton seems to have an awareness that perhaps should put him in ahead of Mulgrew. Brown and Johansen have been dominant. Forrest is still well below par.

I like the positivity and the "patience" in the final third. The build up to the Forrest miss with the give and take and then dummy gives me a little bit of hope that the "skills" are improving.

most liberal performance of the season thus far (other than dundee united) but very wasteful

we need another pre 60 minutes to coast home .

should be 3 up.but if you don't take your chances

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hope we don't rue the missed chances as this is a recurring problem and Forrest is a big culprit.
The football is good and I really like flair, but I would enjoy the wee flicks and dummies more if we were cruising
The movement is great and the goal was well worked plus the 3 other great opportunities we have had - not to mention a goal disallowed and a handball penalty not given.
This is obviously a throw back from last week and must have been discussed at the Tuesday night meeting LoL.
Hope we can turn the good play into more goals as it just takes one Efe mistake to spoil things.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure I have seen a match like this with so much wastefulness

guidetti off for scepovic …he has been very poor

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm on scepovic for a goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Loosing patience with Forrest, if he'd scored his first half chance it would have been a strong contender for goal of the season, and could have been the catalyst for the team to put murderwell to the sword. Someone has to sit the boy down and have candid talk that he has to start delivering or be shipped out.

Agree0 Disagree1

Although Forrest was not clinical in front of goal, and he certainly wasn't the only culprit . Forrest deserves credit for his very good approach work and link -up play .
I think for seasons now, we seemed to have worked hard at creating chances but have actually done little or no work in finishing off the moves . We are often guilty of either over passing in front of the goal, and also of ignoring a player in a better position .

Agree0 Disagree1

Chris, I have to agree with you about Forrest and I'd also add in Stokes this season as well.

They are playing in attacking roles but not striker/centre forward roles yet getting stick if they don't score.

From what I can see, their job is to get the defence open and create opportunities and we all know this is happening so we need to be looking at who is the Centre Forwards here.

Yesterday was one of those days but my only worry is with those kinda misses- confidence. Hopefully a good showing this week and back on track.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Chris and mrsE the movement from the midfield and forward areas was excellent but think big John had his boots on the wrong feet haha but think if they keep progressing its all going to come together and some teams going to suffer a heavy defeat.Forrest will come good when he's had enough game time as his speed is difficult for defenders to counter and there is goals in him .

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Guidetti has his next three or four years sorted out . I have often felt strikers have gone off the boil after agreeing a new contract .
We certainly need a free scoring striker to convert some of the very good chances we are creating just now.

I was mulling over the role that Stokes is playing for us recently. His goal scoring opportunities are marginalised. I was wondering if Pukki could actually fulfil this position better by virtue of being younger, faster, and reasonably creative. I think the disappointment from us in regard to Pukki is that we thought we were getting a hotshot striker. When he didn't deliver, the groans started. Without the pressure of being a main striker we might yet get something rewarding from him because he did buzz around and seem very willing. Any thoughts folks?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

A decent shout. Most of those who attend games seemed to think he had something, maybe you got it. One goal in two at Brondby is not too bad. Stokes, for me, is very infuriating. he has talent but seems to make the wrong decision too many times, and don't start me on his corners!

Agree2 Disagree0

It would be a brave man to bring back pukki remembering it was ronny who shipped him out not because he was good. Personally I didn't see much difference between stokes/pukki so it was and still would be pointless having them both. I agree stokes corners are 1 out of 4 decent but that could also be said of johansson so why when he is fit and playing can't mulgrew take the set pieces as he was quite good at them.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the reasons I suspect why Mulgrew doesn't take corners when he is fit and well, is because our team have very few tall men who can do something in the air, and so Mulgrew is needed in the middle . I think for a small team we have created a lot of chances from corners taken by Stokes and Johannson in recent weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the reason Pukki is scoring regularly this season at Brondby is because he hasn't been subjected to the Celtic Park groans and abuse when he misses a chance this season . I got the impression last season that he looked frighten and never seemed to have confidence in himself .
Right from the start the crowd at the matches and the posters on the forums took to Guidetti and heaped praise on him . I hope he gets out of his current wèe dull spell, as I wouldn't like the fans to turn on him and deprive him of the confidence, all strikers need.

So RD is saying he is "in control" of Odegaards situation. As much as I'd like to think there's a chance of us getting one of the worlds hottest talents, albeit as a financial investment, I doubt we do have control. Europes financial heavyweights are all in the mix. We can't compete. We may be his best chance of first team football, and thus the lads own development, but Stromgodset are the ones in control. We offer x, and the likes of Liverpool, Bayern, Dortmund, PSG, Real, Barcelona or Manchester United offer 2x. That's just the way it is Ronny. '-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you might be taking his comment to literally mate. I think he was meaning he is aware of all the goings on regarding the boy. I don't doubt for a minute the kid and his father would seek Ronnys advice after he spotted, and stuck him in the first team, at such a young age.

Agree0 Disagree0

My point also, think Ødegaard will end up in either RM, LFC or one else of the big ones. I for one think Celtic could be a great club for him to get better, hope he dosnt rotten in a youthsystem somewhere. He said himself that going out for academy football was out of the question. Hope he dosnt get ruined. This is norwegian footballs messias. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope they do seek RDs advice GJ. He played a big part in the lads career. Why would RD comment on a player (who he has stated an interest in) though? Doesn't dodge the point Stromsgodset would only get offered from Celtic, a fraction of what the other clubs would.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - but they could get a sell on from Celtic in a couple of years which could dwarf the fee paid now......}

@JimTim; I think his Father values Ronnys input, that's got to help. If the kid was going to play first team that will be a big factor. I have not seen much of him but would be very surprised if he could step into a top four/five EPL side. ED01 alos seals my point with the sell on factor.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2014 11:45:07
Strømsgodset will do what's best for the lad in this situation. I think its in his contract that he cab go to whitch club he wants, and it has nothing to do with money. Would he end up in Celtic, I think the price would be pretty low, but with a type of percent of next sale. Of course Strømsgodset wants to get as much as they can for him, but its all about what club he decides for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair comment about the sell on % Ed. Hopefully it works in our favour. Haven't seen much myself to be fair but we'd have to insert a clause guaranteeing him so many starts etc. What if one of these other clubs bought him and offered to loan him back to Stromsgodset though? We're not in the market to be doing that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I got shot down in here a month ago for stating Celtic had tabled a bid of 4.5m. Believe me they have and are in with a shout. Not saying he will definitely sign but our chances are better than than some of the so called bigger teams. Will be the best money we can spend on a project when you look at some if wee lennys signings!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say I would worry about any young 16 year old coming to Scotland to play for Celtic . Most of the Spl teams have hatchet men that seem to be immune from cards until they commit a hand full of fouls . I would like to see young players protected .

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we can keep the good form and performances going today. A bit better finishing against Patrick the other night and we would have won pretty convincingly. One of the things I like about RD is he is happy to admit when he has made mistakes and quickly learns from them. Dropping 10 against Caley after Europe and gets beat so drops 7 against Motherwell and Draws, drops 3/4 next time and wins, and recognises it quickly. Certain previous managers would maybe have been to egotistical to admit they were wrong so quickly and then change. That's got to be a good thing. Markie

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I still think the guys a breath of fresh air and gets too much stick from a section of fans, one clown who is never off SSB really gets on my wick. This new outlook he is being tasked with will not happen overnight so let's back the guy, he will get enough nonsense from the pro sevco press!

Agree2 Disagree0

I would have thought any manager would have known from the outset that you couldn't make ten changes against a SPL team and get away with it .
I know most managers feel you can make endless changes against lower division teams eg League Cup, bur by doing that they have often got egg on their face .

I understand what the Edd is getting at as we as celtic fans are definately guilty of believing 'innocent if your celtic' but personally I can't wait to get shot of him as he has done nothing in a celtic Jersey. I decided to put it to the wife though for 2 reasons, 1 she hates football and has no interest in anything celtic, 2 she has a law degree and a brain that dwarfs mine. She actually laughed if it is true that the decision was taken purely on one guys word against another and thinks that is shocking.she did also however say (as edd I think said) how do you know that is all they based it on? She (being of the law type) can't believe that he would be convicted purely on one mans word against another and believes they must have more evidence. We might never know so I'm going to not lose any sleep over it. Markie
