think BR should consider L Henderson instead of Biton. he`s, our most experienced player against sevco.
Two great assists cup final.

For me Henderson plays with an attitude, I thought against inter Milan pre season he played like a little thug

Talent is there but I wonder if there is a screw or two a little loose, needs to mature for me but talent is there for sure.

Agree2 Disagree6

06 Sep 2016 12:04:50
I'm all for the combative streak
It's the ability to temper your emotions that separates the thugs from the midfield enforcers

That's a skill that comes with experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Sep 2016 16:56:12
Think he's a top player, has that combative side like a proper central midfielder should, for me it's an art to being tough in there but also with skill 2 boot in driving forward, heart n fight wins u the right to go n play your football. I think he has both, him n brown would be great in there, although right now if we go with brown n biton then i'd be alright with that. Biton needs to find form again as he at top form looked outstanding but I would like to see Henderson get more game time to become a regular, I do feel he could be browns natural successor with Ajer in there, rogic in front as all r relatively young, if we keep rogic that long as playing the way he has been 4 a while now English teams will no doubt be after him.
Hail hail.

Looking forward to Saturday, would like to see us go with DDV Lustig, Kolo Shevvy KT, Roberts, Brown, Rogic and Sinclair with LG and MD up front. An hour in and we may and up 4 2 4 with all 11 players shooting as soon as the ball comes to them.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

05 Sep 2016 20:26:27
My thoughts exactly there Davie. I'd be looking to Get LG and Dembele in and around their box for the entire 90. Properly dominate them.

Agree0 Disagree2

05 Sep 2016 22:15:12
Would be brave. Not sure of a change in system is the right move, the KEY as always will be whoever is set up near Brown needs to stay away and get space between, sometimes it looks like biton Is almost marking brown

I would go with mcgregor as he knows how to link between brown and Rogic and so it's MacGregor for me

I know that few will agree but there you go

442 can actually be quite defensive and predictable, I like the way our two wingers can come inside and how Rogic can pass and drill in shots; it's the space between brown and Rogic that will dictate CFC dominance. For me, biton just can't play that role as he isn't mobile enough energetic enough or hard enough ( I think mcgregor is better on two of three counts.

Agree0 Disagree4

05 Sep 2016 22:49:37
Dembelle sure needs a chance. I can see him sparkling on the occasion. I'd go the Celtic way and play paddy- but 2 up would be a real statement for the season.

So pay no heed to the media bhoys and let's just wait on the tally-hoop.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Sep 2016 08:16:16
Get Rogic in the gap between midfield and efence and that's that. Game over.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Sep 2016 08:32:31
I would go with just Griffiths up front himself
Think he does his best work as a lone striker.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Sep 2016 17:03:09
Got to agree with u keV, Griff up front works really well with the 3 forwards, Roberts rogic n Sinclair. I'd go brown n McGregor against sevco, as I think McGregor has a wee bit of dig about him n can get his foot on the ball. Form wise he's probably just ahead of biton, although that's not why I'd pick him, just the reasons stated before. However would love to see Henderson start, think he would relish playing the new team who pretend to be rangers in liquidation, if they want to pretend to be rangers, enjoy getting beat like rangers did before they died.
Hail hail.

I would play:

Gordon

Gamboa Simunovic O'Connell Izzy

McGregor Armstrong

Forrest Christie GMS

Dembele

This would get us the 3 points and give our first team a rest for the big game against Barca.

Agree0 Disagree7

05 Sep 2016 19:58:15
Only two ad play there are Gordon n mcgregor, our first team is miles ahead of them but our second string isn't. That team would get beat.

Don't think we can underestimate sevco although I dancy us to win think it will be closer than most think.

At the start of the week i'm always really confident about this game but I know come Fri i will be getting nervous then come sat morning i'm going to be bricking it.

Having said that i'm trying to look at it logically, were at home, we have better players, better management, better bench and most importantly the better fans.

Its the first time the rangers have played at celtic park there is no way they are leaving with any points.

Agree0 Disagree3

05 Sep 2016 20:45:10
The only thing that will prevent a pumpfest is the police telling us not to score anymore or a really dodgy heggun ref.

Agree0 Disagree3

05 Sep 2016 21:53:59
Rab your right enough, when a looked back over your team they would walk into theirs. Individually they're better than them but am not so sure they'd play that we'll together especially the back four and defensive mids. Let's just play our strongest team n horse them, no better preparation for a cl tie than humping the huns. As long as there's no injuries 2 games so close this early in shouldn't be a problem.

Agree0 Disagree3

05 Sep 2016 22:19:56
Who knows what the score will be. All I know is that we are in a better position on every matrix whether it be management executive management players finance feel good factor momentum and all round reputation

We are Scotland's finest and so the score will be what the score will be BUT we are ( and still will be after Saturday ) the dominant force

Celtic win but as it draws nearer I think it might be a little tighter than we all think

The problem with rangers is that, unlike other teams domestically, they will attack and they will come expecting a result ( many more teams don't ) and so they will ask questions
We just need ask them more questions.

Hi guys don't think bitton and brown are good in the same midfield. Would rather see mcgreggor as we drop deeper and lots of sideway passes. What you all think?

Believable5 Unbelievable4

05 Sep 2016 17:47:34
Wouldn't play Bitton ad have mcgregor in wae broonie.

Agree1 Disagree2

05 Sep 2016 19:40:39
If Bitton could be consistent, and not look too lethargic, it would be him all day long for me. I think that's the real issue in the equation.

It also depends what you're after, McGregor is that bit more dynamic and does get the ball forward quicker. He's that bit more versatile too in a fluid midfield. But sometimes the game needs slowing down and the screw slowly turned, that's where Bitton excels.

When it comes to working with Brown, neither are ideal actually for me. Scott Brown is a box to box midfielder, he's been fine when asked to play the anchor, but needs a natural one next to him to play his best game. Bitton and McGregor would both call themselves attacking players too I'd imagine, like Brown at times, being asked to play a role, when for me, they both lack some vital qualities.

I'd go McGregor against the zombies and Bitton against Barca, McGregor can always come on.

The nerves are kicking in now, big game around a week away! One of Europes biggest fixtures. Celtic Vs Barcelona. How do you all see the team line up? I think the only debate is between keeper and Forrest or Roberts. Other than that team picks itself.

Personally, especially against our league opponents this Saturday, bitton/ mcgregor should be discussed. Did anyone else think that brown and bitton together slowed our game down too much and don't offer too many forward passes. Though when CM came on against Aberdeen he changed the game and got going again. Not saying he's the answer but don't think the likes of Christie or Armstrong will get a look in at these games given the lack of playing time lately.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

05 Sep 2016 13:07:17
If we are going for goals and attacking, then leave Bitton out the side. Sorry for repeating myself - but he slows down the game, affects Browns natural game, gives away possession and can't tackle. McGregor is obviously not the perfect answer (as we were looking for better in the window) , but he does a decent job domestically.
Rogic has been very influential and is creating and scoring; while
the fact we have Forrest, Roberts, Sinclair, Griffiths and Dembele etc to shuffle about up front gives us plenty of attacking options.
BR has brought in DeVries and although I have been a big critic of Gordon, for a while, it is a big ask for a new keeper, with an unsettled back line?

Agree3 Disagree1

05 Sep 2016 13:33:29
My team would be. gordon, lustig, kolo, Erik, KT, brown mcregregor, Forrest, Sinclair, rogic, griff! Bring gamboa and paddy on in the 2nd half to run at that big clown Wallace! I wouldn't have bitton anywhere near the team, he's been utter Shoite since the season started, far to slow and looks as if he isn't interested! Not saying mcgregor is the answer but for me he's better in there than bitton! Take an early lead and we'll run over the top of this tribute act!

Agree2 Disagree1

05 Sep 2016 14:11:29
Agree with wiss except i would start with roberts.

Nothing against forrest overall but a couple decent performances doesn't make up for the last 2 years imo.

Having said that i'm confident with either or as i think we have more than enough to smash em.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Sep 2016 16:49:39
A hope Rodgers isn't thinking of starting gamboa, lustig is a cool head n we might just need as many as possible. The ref whoever it is will be looking for any opportunity to give penalties against us, especially if we score first.
