My sister is taking her son my nephew to petrovs charity match in spite of her husband a ger as has my nephew up untill now.
I have considered and told my sister I disagree with what she is doing.
Doing so would mean my excited kids would miss out.
I feel in a dilema and would be gratefull of your opinions.
Any input from you edd would also be good. {Ed007's Note - I have no idea what you mean. Maybe CFC is your nephews big team?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's a charity match for a very good and worthwhile cause; so anyone who wants to see a variety of celebs and stars past and present is more than welcome, I would imagine?
I have taken many relatives to Celtic Park over the years and if they are not Hoops fans an alarm doesn't go off.

Op what a stupid post, no wonder you left it nameless. Where do I start?
1) it is a CHARITY MATCH to raise money for a worthwhile cause.
2) there will be families and children of ALL backgrounds there.
3) if you are a regular poster you will know I take my 2 nephews to darkest Govan, I do it because their dad is ill and cannot take them. I am the biggest tim you will meet but they wear their Sevco colours because that is their team. They still support their team and I support mine, end of story.
4) I get the impression you wanted some tacit approval of your views from the guys on here, well you won't receive any from me, take ALL the children in your family along and enjoy the day.

Here's a spurious link.

Finnbogason is a surname of Icelandic origin, meaning son of Finnbogi ( = Finn bow, Finnish bow ). In Icelandic names the name is not strictly a surname, but a patronymic:

Here's the spurious but BOW SHOOT SCORE. We missed out on this player for that reason alone anyone that has such a link must be a good shooter although Sammy has been doing some bow and arrow celebrations of late do maybe not

If he was as good as what people on here think he is don't you fellow bhoys & ghirls not think that one of the 3 big Dutch clubs would have signed him by now or a team from one of the big leagues Germany France Spain epl etc etc would have signed him maybe just maybe the rumours that he's not worth the money being asked by his club are actually TRUE every team needs a goalscorer but no one except Cardiff seemed to be that interested and they even dropped there interest in him very very quickly.

Evening Ed. wee question for you or anybody that knows, the wife 3 kids and I are going on Sunday (canny wait) struggled to get 5 seats in a row but the lassie done what she could and got us seats in section 121, in all my time going to the games I've never sat anywhere near there, she even gave us discount on what was already cheap tickets.
Anyway, restricted viewing (which differs on opinions) but I'm guessing there's a big feckin steel beem right in view? If it is ill just put the wife behind it, not wanting the kids to miss The King and others :)
I'm I right in thinking this? Cheers for any feedback

Bigbadjohn {Ed007's Note - Some of the restricted view seats are that you can't see the whole of the park. I've never sat in 121 either so I don't know how bad the restricted view will be, hopefully it isn't too bad and you have a great day out with the family.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I used to sit in 121 BBJ. There are some restricted views but mine was cheaper because the row infront of me was too close, no much leg room. Think there are a few rows like that in that area. They used to be usual price but CP had loads of complaints. As long as your no 6 ft 6 you will be fine though.

Thanks for the info Ed, many times since giving up my season ticket but still going often as poss, we get the restricted viewing "thing" and never had any bother.
121 and 120 look like they are holding up the south stand lol, never mind.
We would have paid double for the occasion!
Kids don't know they are going yet (ok it's not mind blowing ha ha) but they love it and I love that they love it. Cheers Ed

Bigbadjohn

Cheers for the heads up Joeshmo and Green Hornet, so there is a steel beam!lol
Don't fancy watching it on the screen on the steel beam ha ha brilliant
Fantastic occasion for a fantastic charity. Canny wait and canny
Wait for my kids to see some proper
Players, cheers lads

BBJ, I'm also in section 121! I only phoned yesterday for tickets and was told the same as you.

I needed 3 tickets together and this was all that was available.

I know where it is and i'm sure it'll be fine ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

I tried to get tickets for me and my girlfriend at the beginning of last week via the online ticket site. I couldn't get 2 together anywhere in the stadium despite it saying Limited Availability!

I then tried to book 1 adult - no availability, 1 U16 - no availability, 1 O65 - no availability. Anyone else have such issues with the online scheme?!

Anyway, got a call from my pal yesterday who's dad has a box, so it's hospitality for me this Sunday. First time sitting anywhere bar 111/112 for 3-4 years!

Hi Ed. Do you know if the Green Brigade are planning a display for Stan's game this Sunday? Can't wait for this.

MikeyBhoy88 {Ed007's Note - I don't know for certain but I can't see them letting the occasion pass without doing something. And as a side-note, in a story that will shock Scottish football to it's very core, the money raised for charity is actually going to a charity! Who would have thought it eh?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I know the charity commission investigated sevco and found them thoroughly guilty but thereafter didn't punish them. I would have thought the SFA would have stepped in at that point and disciplined them for shamelessly bringing the game into disrepute, on TV, in a dozen newspapers, on radio, in magazines, across the Internet. but the SFA hasn't done anything yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah Ed, they didn't STEAL money destined for charity, they just misappropriated it, to quote Father Ted " The money was only resting in my account ", they probably have it put aside with the tax money, the ambulance service money etc, the list could go on and on, hundreds of names on and on apparently!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure because it's a charity match and seats were a free-for-all, plenty wee bhoys and ghirls would've bought tickets for 111 which might mean the Group don't have the section?

I see newco have already had a grant to repairs required for commonwealth games which has been spent although the work was halted and subcontractors not paid this was deliberate to force more money as the old "we will be unable to complete work within timescales" add on the council tax rebate for revaluation of stadium and murray park tax really is for mugs

ed somes great quotes from previous players who played at celtic park.Kaka was joined by a glittering array of colleagues but they found it tough and the playmaker does not expect things to be any different in 2013.

He said: “When we faced Celtic in 2007, they gave us two very tough games. It was probably one of the strongest Milan sides ever with Andrea Pirlo, Paolo Maldini, Clarence Seedorf and many more but it took us until extra time to beat them.

“Celtic are such a hard working side and that is what made it so hard for us.

“There are only one or two left from the squad that faced them in 2007, so I’ll make sure that the current squad know just how tough the two games will be, especially the one in Scotland.

“It’s a hard group. We know that but we have a great squad.

“All teams can take points off each other and that is why it is so important to get off to a good start against Celtic. We’re at home in the first match, so we must take advantage of that and start our European campaign with a win.”

Meanwhile, Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic has described the atmosphere at Celtic Park as “the best I have experienced” as three of his former sides prepare to visit Glasgow on Champions League duty.

Among other clubs, Ibrahimovic has starred for Ajax, Barcelona and AC Milan – the sides which make up Group H with Celts.

But even after playing in El Clasicos and Milan derbies, nothing has topped his night at Parkhead as a precocious
youngster. He was brought on as a 65th-minute substitute for Ajax in 2001 as the Amsterdammers claimed a 1-0 win on front of a raucous crowd of 58, 575.

The win was irrelevant as Celtic had triumphed 3-1 in the Amsterdam ArenA in the first leg to progress to the Champions League Group phase. But the Swede reckons the noise at Parkhead that night was head and shoulders above anything he has encountered since.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker said: “When I played for Ajax we came to Celtic and I played against Henrik Larsson in the Champions League qualifiers. When I got out on to the pitch I tried very hard to communicate with team-mates but heard nothing.

“The fans were too loud for us to have a conversation.

“I did not hear what they said if they shouted for me or anything like that.

“It was an amazing atmosphere – probably the best I have ever experienced on the field.”

Ibrahimovic has followed the likes of Maldini and Lionel Messi in heaping praise on Celtic’s following on European nights - an advantage Neil Lennon’s men will have to call on if they are to qualify from a nightmare group.

Gavin Gunning has been banned for three matches after being found guilty of violent conduct by a Scottish FA tribunal.

The Dundee United defender was caught on camera kicking out at Celtic's Virgil van Dijk during Saturday's Scottish Premiership fixture between the two sides.

Dont see why they offer a three game ban i.e pleads guilty and still only get three when it goes to a panel surely it should be a a four game ban for wastin the panels time like a plea bargain type deal

Sevco boardroom battles continue with stock exchange statements.
McColl's side includes this:
""However we have also made it clear that, in accordance with the club's articles of association, all directors, both existing and new, have to offer themselves up for re-election at a vote at the AGM.""

Club's don't have articles of association only companies have these. Are the Requisitioners stating club and company are one and the same thing? Clearly so.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes they do. Clubs do have rules articles etc. Have you been in a club?

Agree0 Disagree0

@1) "articles of association" are written and signed off mandatory COMPANY documentation required for the formation of a limited company or Plc.

Are you saying sevco have two articles of association and two Boards? One for THE CLUB and one for THE COMPANY? Or only one corporate articles of association and one corporate board?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. Another thing this ethereal club hasn't got, rules. Add that to players, strips, a ground, and money. All these things owned (maybe not even that) by the company. Bust is bust, dead is dead.

***The Great Tax Robbery***Fun for all the family*** just type in the annual salary of an old RFC EBT beneficiary, like Campbell Ogilvie or any of the players and the computer calculates the PAYE and NI not paid to HMRC. Wonderful fun playing the great tax robbery.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

These wonderful parlour games using wifi and iPads really are spiffing.
And it's great to know LNS and his report reassures us all that these huge sums of money provided no sporting advantage whatsoever. God bless one and all.
Although I'm curiously mindful of the large PAYE and NI we all have to pay to make up for the cheats.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know old RFC was sunk by its old directors regardless of EBTs but the deady bears all think they were legal and I'm thinking the sevco toerags are possibly doing it even now. Is Stockbridge, Mathers, McCoist, Jabba, the players all on EBTs? Cause they think its legal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ebt are gone they are now called pps which is more or less similar but based from jersey

What about Khalid Boulahrouz (spelling) as a potential centre back signing for Celtic? Free agent after his release by Sporting Lisbon. Been playing at a good level for years, international and champions league experience, can play right back as well. Would be a good signing I reckon to shore up your back line particularly in Europe.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have seen a few good options on here for 'Free agents' that would certainly beef up our reduced squad.
Problem is; The Board probably don't read these pages (heaven forbid) and they probably wouldn't pay the wages anyway, but good shout though.

Not long back from Scotland under 16s v Italy, delighted one of our own got man of the match Calvin Miller also impressed by the goalie and another young lad named Theo who is with oourselves!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They will be released like nearly every other young player under Lennon.

Agree0 Disagree0

We do seem to release far too many of our starlets while others get very limited game playing opportunity.
This worries me as it sends out the wrong message to potential Celtic players that apparently have been signed because of their ability/class.
I could see the point if we had a team of Larssons, Lubo's and Nakas, but we are well short of that class.
The League Cup should be used for all our under 21 lads or we will continue to face opponents full of Celtic 'rejects' only to glad to prove a point.
