Re i follow this site
why do you, not just read the rumours page and not the banter page?
banter consists of arguements and wind-ups.
it`s a bit like watching babeworld and complaining about boobs on the tv.

Re na, mate i swear
well you never done yourself much favour with your reply, us older celtic fans are not up to date with the more modern phrases, as you can see i am able to put someone down a peg or two without the name calling.
this is a banter page and sometimes it goes over the top a bit by both sides but i never take it serious.
i could not care less what someone calls me as this just makes them look silly.

Ed, i follow this site everyday but the arguements on here are really going to far now. . . is there anything you could do to stop this i go on to read the celtic news and rumours on here everyday but now its just discraceful from celtic fans as well as rangers fans {ed's note - hopefully they will have come to an end now, I am going to be a bit more circumspect about what I allow because it always seems to get dragged into bile otherwise.}

05 Oct 2010 09:47:19Proud fans . . such a proud lot {ed's note - and many times I have been assured, by Rangers fans as well as Celtic fans, that it is nothing to do with religion but everything to do with Lord of the Rings.}Well it doesn't and i feel your just covering your back it means ************ ed you wouldn't post that on your page so please don't post its abbreviation Iv been on this page for years now and iv defo seen the people warning about this. {ed's note - and more people have argued it is nothing to with that. One day you Celtic and Rangers fans will realise that religion has no place in football. Until that day I will have to get the swear filter altered, orc is too small a word to spot when you are skimming.}

Totally agree there at the end of the day use both pray to the same bloody person pathetic.

Na mate i swear i aint . . i honestly posted because i seen what was typed and know what it means. As I said my nephew checks on this site quite regularly he is 13 said i was asking the ed to be a bit more vigilant (not easy i understand) cos this is language and subjects he shouldnt be getting educated on and coming from a mixed family its not something we tolerate. Can we not just agree not to use the word and the ed try and refrain from it entering posts?

thanks

{Editor's Note: We do what we can, it is tough for the Ed's to know the ins and outs of localised phrases and words.}

Re coincidental
it now looks to me that you are trying to make something out of nothing with your reply.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It seems coincidental that its just the gers fans that know what this means . . celtic fans despite calling us it are unaware the meaning hmmmm

To the guy going on about orcs
i have to defend paddybhoy here, as i too did not have a clue about your meaning of orc.
to me it is a creature with a pig face.
ben bhoy is the only one who knows what he ment by orc, until he`s gives his meaning we will never know.

Come on lads, lifes to short, have a laugh and a good bit of banter!
gerry bhoy

Na I do agree banter is banter gerry and I appreciate you not jumping on the bandwagon but wen it comes to 13 yr old fellow celtic fans (my nephew not me! ) is learning its fine to call his family members orange-c's then its not no. . fair do's if its an adult based site but it aint. and it was wen paddybhoy then defends it then claims he had no idea what it meant (which i totally believe errr), then it no longer becomes banter it is offensive.

I aint saying u guys are worse or any of that nonesense just wen minors are learning biggotted terms then the line must be drawn.

Theres a lot of people posting on here who are far to quick to be offended. It is after all a banter site. (and yes i know its not an insult site)
on the whole, most posters give as good as they get, so lets not get to the stage where the worst we can do is call people silly rubber duckies!

I have lived away for 25 years and still go to the games, still visit my family, and i am very sorry for not knowing that an orc was not a monster, maybe its my age, it seems to me you are bigoted yourself

paddybhoy

Re: let me get this right you think the person who is trying to have terms and abusive comments like this terminated is the bigot? do us all a favour and stay away another 25 years pls. It was stated earlier what the word means dunno if this will refrain you from using it however?

Personally, i thought an orc was some kind of monster from a cartoon or something, and i am sure your nephew has come accross a lot worse at school or ibrox or in the street, so get off your high horse.
paddybhoy

Re: your defiance says everything about u . . ur the low end market of the fans that the clubs are trying to get rid of. Yes your the type of biased and biggoted fan your club does not want. If you came from the city that your club does you would know what orc means

The point of my post, is that the rangers fans are constantly telling us celtic fans, that we look everywhere to be easily offended (even in places it may not exist, ie orc) unlike themselves. So i was merely pointing out the irony.Also don't you worry about me hiding my true colours, they are proudly on show at all times.

Re: well for your info actually proud yin my nephew frequents this page and has for a while, he is 13 and people like Ben Bhoy shouldnt be subjecting him to it (by the way my nephew is a celtic fan and if he were to use terms like this his rear end would get painted red!) thought the clubs were trying to get rid of this sort of thing, do you think its right that new young supporters come on sites like this and pick up and continue to spout the vile that current and past supporters have chanted. Personally the fact you defended it and thought it was better to go "ooooh handbags" and look away and distract from the point is just a bad if not worse then Ben Boys comments.

Oh the irony, surely the rangers fans are not that easily offended?. All aboard the easily offended bus,
1st stop ibrokes ( SORRY DID THAT OFFEND YOU)

paddybhoy {ed's note - to be fair, if the meaning is as he believes then he has every right to be offended.}

Don't make yourself look like a typical ignorant ingerlishman when we all know you're an orc.

Re: Typical language from one of you lot, congrats ed the word "orc" has been brought to your attention on many occasions every time you "assure" us that it won't be posted again . . .

To the forest hun. Sorry forest fan. Yeah, clough said he'd exchange a euro cup for a title but we didn't have to. The year we won the big cup, we won everyting that we could go for. That's when you know you deserve it. Don't make yourself look like a typical ignorant ingerlishman when we all know you're an orc.
