I do not like international breaks but this one may actually work in our favour.
Yes I am aware we have 7 players on Scotland duty, but only one game this Thursday, hopefully players only get half a game playing, even if not they will get about 8 days before we resume league duty. Only Lustig and Rogic have 2 tiring playoff games. Simonovic and Shviachenko get another 2 weeks to recover as does Griffiths.
We will need it because when we return we have CL games, a cup final and 9 games in December to get through.

Going to be a boring two weeks Tim on the football front but as you say the break should help for the heavy schedule before the January break. First trophy in the cabinet remain unbeaten and a 9 point lead in the league and Europa league qualification by the January break and we can start dreaming of the Invincible double treble. 😁😁😁.

it will do my liver the world of good.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - That's a myth - and think of all the other damage it does to you! Do you want me to start about drinking at this time on a Sunday night??? ;)

05 Nov 2017 22:59:49
I'm not an advocate for liver rest as a quick fix after a bit of excessive drinking but I'd call you on that edd at my peril. In a matter or weeks or months of rest can liver function not be restored to normal? Granted the other nasties don't shake off. Not after a medical hyperlinks or anything. I'm glad of the rest as well tbh 😊.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I'll be taking Thiamine (Vitamin B1) for the rest of my life because of the damage I done to me liver with drink and I haven't drank for nearly 6 (I think it's 6 in January?) years now.

06 Nov 2017 02:06:55
Knowing your luck Ed you would get Wb's liver in a transplant if necessary. 😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Hahaha more than likely.}

Two games per week seem to be the normal for Celtic now and unfortunately if we qualify for UEFA league and get a wee run in it, as we all want we will have two games per week in Feb and March etc.
It is getting to the stage that we will have to do legally what Davey Murray attempted illegally, and that is field a domestic team and an European team.

Had a blood test done in my doc's the results came back my liver was a bit high but my doctor said don't worry about it as the bloods were done on a Monday and I'd be fine to go at it again at the weekend couldn't make it up.

Watching the city v arsenal game and the passing, touch and ability of De Bruyne is absolute world class - Raheem Stirling on the other hand is quite the (overpriced) fud.
Wee paddy is potentially twice the player IMO.

Paddy has done nothing so far this season, Forrest has been well ahead of him performance wise.

Agree4 Disagree4

05 Nov 2017 15:27:04
No even talking about Forrest ( who has been fantastic) The post was about Stirling - City - Roberts?!

Agree2 Disagree2

05 Nov 2017 16:14:26
He is not twice the player of Sterling. We Paddy is miles away from the City first team. He is not even first choice at Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree3

05 Nov 2017 16:26:10
Sterling is one of the most overrated players in a long time.
Also dafabet once a bhoy never said padfy was twice the player. He said he had the POTENTIAL to be.

Agree1 Disagree3

05 Nov 2017 20:11:18
Has Paddy lives up to expectations so far this season? He has not done anything of note or even scored a goal. I like the boy put he has flattered to dicieve.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Remember he spent preseason being a bit part player at City while our players were working their socks off in CL qualifying, I think it's just taking Paddy time to get back up to the level of his team-mates.
If Paddy has spent his summer at Celtic he would have been flying for a while now.}

06 Nov 2017 08:22:27
I said that the other week, he would have been tuned in to playing in a winning team with a big game mentality the wee man will come good.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Nov 2017 10:03:07
If Sterling was over rated then don't you think Guardiola, who is one of the world's top coaches, with a vast amount of money to spend would have replaced him?

I agree that there are aspects of his game that need improving but he is a top class player and I would be over the moon if he came to Celtic (I know it will never happen) .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Pep did try and replace him in the summer but the lad has stepped up his game this season in response.}

06 Nov 2017 10:14:30
I think the way he contributed to our success with his great goals and assists in his first 18 month loan proved what he can be capable of and he will only get better. I know he has struggled so far for form and fitness but so have a few others and even when he's not playing - his presence has certainly contributed to James Forrest's resurgence.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2017 09:39:06
Correct Ed. Paddy is getting there. He us better than Forrest. Forrest has raised the bar, the problem with Janes us he has done that before, it's staying there that has always been the problem.

I hope he does, but I have my doubts. With Paddy when he reaches his form he stays there. That's the difference. The level of form is also higher than Forrest.

Let us hold back the judgement on who should be in until the games come up. The ball is in Forrest's court. Him keeping his chest in the shirt is his responsibility. He knows if he flatlined again, as he has done throughout his career he's out.

The problem is not that Forrest does not have the ability. It's he doesn't, up till now, have the ability to maintain it. For us we want both firing, whoever wins or loses has only themselves to hold accountable.

Paddy is top drawer in my opinion
Not on form right now but the boy has skills.
James Forrest deserves to be first pick and we’ll done to him. Let’s hope he keep consistency for the rest of the season and Paddy fires back up full throttle. We’ll need the squad if we’re going for a treble and the Europa league.

I admire James Forrest despite the hateful stuff written on forums and despite one of our players who play closest to crowd and suffers from regular abuse from fans who should have been banned from Celtic Park years ago, he still continues to put on match winning performances . I really admire him this year despite the resigning of Paddy Roberts, who many fans wet their knickers over, James still put on player of match performance against Bavern Munich.

Paulo Gazzaniga was impressive in goal for Spurs today, given MOTM by Glenn Hoddle. 25 years old but third choice behind Vorm.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

He may have had a good game today but he is a bang average GK. Would take Vorm but not him.

I'd lime the guy Ward fae Liverpool that was in loan at aberdeen.

05 Nov 2017 18:00:50
I never understood why some on here have such a stauner for Vorm 10 appearances in the last 3-4 years 0 ambition happy to sit on the bench and collect a paycheck, not for me would rather have a keeper who wants to play.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Nov 2017 19:00:49
Big. D I have stated the exact same opinion a few times on here about vorm.
The guy has spent his best years on a bench when he was good enough to be playing week in week out at a big club.
I would much rather find another big frazer who has a drive to improve and reach the top.

Totally Kev! Young Ward looked a very good keeper during his time up here and I'm amazed he has not got more of a chance with the 2 diddies in front of him at Liverpool. Add to that the fact the Liverpool will no doubt go out and buy another keeper, rather than promoting the boy, I think there could be a real chance of getting him and IMO would be money very well spent.

06 Nov 2017 23:43:58
Can we really judge these goalkeepers, young Ward and big Vorm,
Most of us see them 3/ 5 times a season and we judge Gordon who we watch 49+ times a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Nov 2017 08:11:45
We seen Ward for Aberdeen where he played 21 games and often thwarted us with some great saves. Seemed very consistent during his time up here as well. Don't think you will get a better look into a potential signing than that.

07 Nov 2017 21:35:55
I don't know about u lads, but I watch Celtic matches and hence would only be quaranteed to see Aberdeen Four times against us and maybe I would also see them a couple of times per season against weak opposition, nothing like the amount of times we see Gordon.

Like we area all Celtic supporters and hence we are bound to see more of our players than others . Thankfully the club employ a good team of scouts to check out potential signings.
