Ghuys, I see the new Lisbon DVD is out in time for Christmas. The description on the website is rather short. Iknow it's 2 disc but anyone know if it contains the full 90 mins in colour? Thanks in advance. Hail Hail!

If it's got the full 90 mins in colour that's the old mans Xmas sorted. Would be a perfect watch on Boxing Day. He's been looking for this for a while.

Does anyone have an idea how the food banks around the stadium done today? It's amazing the amount of people it can help.

Lots of bags round the stadium before we went in buddy! Me and the missus brought a few bags down! Seen some pics on twitter and there was hundreds of bags! Makes me proud when people rally round like this! Just makes me sad that we all need to do it in the first place. my missus is a teacher and some of the stories are heartbreaking! Just makes u realise how lucky u are sometimes.

Obviously it's not done for the publicity or thanks and it is shameful that we need to do this at all in the 21st century, but I am sure this sad situation will get a lot less coverage than paragliding servicemen, political flags, banners, inflatable effigies or poppies.
It might motivate our own government to put the independence debate aside for now and really tackle poverty and make these greedy supermarket chains donate and distribute - instead of profit, mass - produce and waste.

06 Nov 2016 19:38:14
Why anyone would disagree with the original post? Someone making a great point about how vital food banks and a social conscience are to the very survival of those down on their luck and some bellend disagrees! I am astounded.

We don't need to watch 'I Daniel Blake' to know this is happening our neighbours. Having said that, maybe some people should watch the closing lines of that film for a bit of an attitude adjustment. Some of us don't realise how lucky we are.

Has Armstrong found his position?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Certainly has ray pity Ronnie couldny see it.

Wasn't at the game today, was Armstrong as impressive as Brendan suggested. We all know what happened to the last Scottish player given the Cafu tag.

right back? You're having a larf!

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2016 01:30:52
Jeezo mallythetally when are you and others going to give it a rest with the Ronny bashing you think it was some master stroke by Brendan to put Armstrong at right back it was luck pure and simple he didn't have anyone else to go in there and it happened to work out end of.

06 Nov 2016 11:37:27
RD was not without his criticisms, but there were some ridiculous ones. Not playing SA at RB has to be up there with the worst.

06 Nov 2016 14:38:55
Big D, Gamboa was on the bench so he had plenty of options.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2016 15:39:21
Your right rayman but he needed to bring on izzy on the left to go from a 3 to a 4 at the back and probably didn't want to use 2 subs so early and threw Armstrong in there as an experiment and he got lucky maybe it could be a good position for him but for people on here to criticize Ronny for not doing it is a complete joke of a statement.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2016 18:46:05
Bigd yer awfy sensitive am stating the obvious SA is a central midfielder all day long, he's right footed for a start and has a tremendous engine so rb was Always an option, no Ronnie bashing just stating the obvious although baffling how Rd couldn't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2016 19:05:42
Reminds me of when we where forced to put Joe ledley at left back for a few games as big d says it isn't a master stroke more just being able to rely on someone more than just luck imo.

Armstrong is in a good place just now . Mentally and physically he is at about his peak . He is so tuned in just now and so eager to please he will do his best where ever he is asked to play .
Maybe a few short months ago he thought his Celtic future was in doubt, but he is certainly not going without a fight.

First a confession, I buy the Daily Record on a Saturday. There now I have got that off my conscience I will say 10 Hail Mary's.
My reason for my Saturday buying spree is to read Chris Sutton as I love his honesty and his digs at the new club and the SFA.
But being the feckin Record (oh dear back to confessional I go) they just had to have an article by the breadman complaining on how the winter break, could cost his new club european football next year.
Yes, honestly he was quoted as saying the winter break was unfair to Sevco (no mention of the other clubs involved in trying to gain a european place) as it could potentially only give some of his players one week break, IF sevco made cup final and some of his players were called up for international duty.
So Celtic Aberdeen Hearts etc do not matter but the winter break must be scrapped to help the new club.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

05 Nov 2016 20:54:58
Was he no one of the main ones last year shoutin fur a winter break!?

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Nov 2016 21:01:27
Am I wrong in saying ANY club playing in a European competition has to have 3 years Auditable accounts and if so has NewCo?

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Nov 2016 21:05:32
Tim he's moaned about everything from the day he arrived, he was also moaning about the amount of games sevco had to play no mention of the qualifiers we were involved in or the fact we'll play a lot more games than them, and he mentioned internationals but they've hardly got any players at that level.

05 Nov 2016 21:14:25

Gordo are you serious? They have Joey Barton and em that other guy and em.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Nov 2016 06:54:20
@Gordo87 - He is talking about Wallace, McKay and Hodson, which is completely insignificant compared to how many we have and we have to start early as well.

@tony2bhoy - To get membership for the leagues in Scotland you need to submit audited accounts each March, so I am assuming they have 3 years audited accounts. However, they may not meet financial fair play criteria as they have an overspend nearly every year they have been in existence.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Nov 2016 12:33:35
Ahh OK thanks for clearing that up Rab it just seems to appear that auditors seam to walk away from them unless that's just propaganda.

Gordon- could have took the day aff and went shopping

Lustig- putting in his usual dependable performance till the injury

Simi- big man never looks under pressure. Going to be a cracking player

Svi- like Lustig he is becoming Mr dependable

Armstrong- very good game. Worked hard
Defended well. Good going forward.
Poor in front of goal though.

Mcgregor. - good game. Worked hard. Great pass for first goal. Won the ball back for second.

Brown- another fine performance from our general.

Sinclaire- looks dangerous every time he steps on the park. Good goal.

Roberts- played well. Tries to much at times but is exciting

Griffiths- typical Griffiths performance. Works hard and gets his reward.

Dembele- played well. Some lovely link up play.

Izzy- good game. Got up and down the pitch and put in a couple great crosses.

Biton- played well. Kept things ticking over with some great passes.

Rogic- done well. Good finish.

Rogers- got it bang on the money again.

Seems like our edge is as blunt as it's been these last few games. Griffiths needs to do better or he will be stuck on the bench.

Frustrating.

What's the thoughts for today lads? I'm expecting to win by 3 or 4. Yes Inverness are the only SPL team to take points off us this season but the way we are playing we should run all over the top of them. Hail Hail.

i think this will be tough

we have had a great run….

id be happy with a "performance" that shows the usual hunger and appetite and with a bit of luck we score early and settle down and go from there

i do wonder with the international break whether he will go with tried and trusted or use this as an opportunity to give the international players a longer rest prior to the winter programme

gut feel says he needs the 3 points with a bit of spit and polish…but with a few surprises

i would be saying same back 4 that played against the germans …same GK… (we don't really have many other options there)
in the middle I would say brown and henderson and armstrong (playing where rogic plays) and then sinclair…roberts and dembele with forrest rested (expect to see christie and griffiths and bit on off the bench)

I'll always settle for a 1-0 victory, no matter who we're playing. I don't like speculating about winning 2-0, 5-0, 10-2 or whatever when the priority is always to win even if it is by the narrowest margin. Anything more than that is a bonus. HH.

Just been reading the poppy debate. My view is simply if you sign up to be governed by an organisation, then you should take heed of said organisations rules. Having said that, I would very much be behind the sfa publicly stating they will stand firm with the fa on this and wear the poppies, only to turn up with no poppies while the English do and they get a points deduction on their own 😂

I know a lot of you don't like international football but I cannot wait for this game. Hope broony being back does the trick.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I always wear a poppy for 2 reasons . My mum lost 2 sisters in the Clydebank Blitz . I don't recall any soldier being asked what religion he was only going to defend. I know there are some " colleagues "of mine that frown upon this. I don't care it's not their ants who were killed it was mine . were a poppy . or don't it's up to each person .

Agree6 Disagree0

11 Nov 2016 17:21:30
I never wear a poppy because of what the British Army did in my Country . They murdered men woman and children after verifying their religion .
To this date they are still telling lies about their behaviour and committing perjury costing the British people hundreds of millions . If we could have the truth we could put the past behind us.

Just watched the Thistle Aberdeen post match interview with that non person manager the sheep have. What a vile scumbag he really is. The lassie is a post match interviewer, she had the right to ask questions about the performance but he is a nasty, bitter little fud who is lapping up his own hype. He's a definite shoe in for when the breadman chucks it over at Asbestos United.
