I know it's an old view, but why are we still playing Guidetti, haven't seen enough of Scepovic to have an opinion, hope RD has a list of CF and CB that we will surely need next year

I think it is down to one of Jock Stein' s old sayings . The Celtic shirt doesn't shrink to fit any player . Or in the present scheme of things Scepovic needs to show more desire on the training pitch .

Hi Ed, Ed just heard PL talk about for want of a better explanative escaping to pastures new

That is MY DREAM for Celtic in an arena where we can compete with the best of the media money available

Do you think it is just a "pipe dream" mate or there is a possibility? A love to hear it even if it is the dream mate!

We were once apart of the football G20 mate the allure of Celtic the brand must appeal to somebody better placed than the "backwater" we are in surely folks?

{Ed007's Note - You'll have a long wait before there's any movement on break away leagues.}

does anyone else think like me that if guidetti has been touting himself to feynoord that he should be no where near our first team?, if he's looking for a move away then how can he be focussed?, bad trainer or not I think scepovic needs a run of games to see if he has it or not. also in a strange way i'm kinda okay wi the defeat last night, if we were to get beat its the right time, thoughts?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2015 13:13:39
Mate i'm of same opinion. To be honest I think Guidetti will end up in championship or a lower table dutch team.

Scepovic needs games, I've said before he is our best option.

Im not bothered about last night. Was pi$$ed off at subs, but end of the day it is 1 loss since december and was going to happen somewhere done line. Treble is still a certainty and anyone who thinks it is not, is living in a fantasy.

Nice to see one or two of the anti-deila brigade getting back to normal after 1 defeat. Says it all really

In Ronny we trust

05 Mar 2015 13:25:12
DN I take it you got mixed up with that whole treble/certainty/fantasy thing?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 13:31:34
Lol no JimTim mate. i'm genuinely covinced we will see the treble this season

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 14:04:42
Always remember both MO'N and SAF talking aboud treble winning sides. They conceded that as well as all the hard work, preparation and concentration, it takes huge amounts of luck. But listen it's there to be won and we certainly 'can'. Wish I had your optomism. Or maybe not I don't know!

05 Mar 2015 14:43:41
Just hoped I haven't cursed treble by saying that lol

Hi JT / DN Better to hit a "blip / bump" last night and re focus our efforts IMO no real harm done IMO

St Johnstone were last team to score against us in last few years have always been our bogey team

How do you think we will line up on Sunday with GMS and Armstrong cup tied? Johansen, Stokes, Commons for me

Can see there being an early goal so going to lamp on that 0-10 mins JT (Y)

Whilst we may be well placed for and SHOULD win a treble this season I think it's wide of the mark to call it a certainty. Bearing in mind that 2 pieces of the treble are just one-off games last night shows that if we aren't playing to our potential then other teams can and will take advantage. The league is now back in the mix a bit after that defeat because there are only 6 points of a difference although we SHOULD come through but the 2 cups are anyone's to win.
We SHOULD win all 3 but that's as far as it goes.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Mar 2015 15:49:40
I said previously that we are in a no win situation with Guidetti, if he scores lots of goals, wealthier clubs than us will come in for him and we won't be able to match the wages on offer.
If he doesn't score goals, we wouldn't want him anyway. It's hard to see top clubs falling over themselves to sign him the way he is playing at the moment.
I think we slightly underestimated St Johnstone last night, we had 2 massive games in the last week, and we have another 2 massive games in the week ahead. St Johnstone probably seemed the easiest of the games at the moment, and the players took their eye off the ball.
I am hoping it will be a kick up the backside for them, as we will need to be firing on all cylinders in the next couple of weeks.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 16:35:16
DN 30 How were you pissed off with the subs last night . I thought bringing Bitton on was an excellent choice, I thought Forrest was also a good choice, in hindsight maybe not so good . We are blessed with hind sight the manager doesn't have it during the game. Many people were singing the praises of Wakaso, before last night, he was an interesting choice, did some good things and some not so good .
The overall performance last night was unusually flat and we suffered .
We conceded a wonderful goal, but I am not sure that he should have been on the pitch after the takeout of Griffiths .

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 16:36:17
I said weeks ago this Treble talk was not to my liking; I realise some see it as a confident statement of intent, but anyone of us who has followed Celtic for the same decades as myself will know we have come up short with better managers and teams than this one and we have had some 'epic fails'.
Of course it would be magic to win all three trophies and we should have dominated the domestic front a lot more in recent years, but we are always one game away from a howler, or an 'honest mistake' and we need to do out talking on the park. We are in a great position and need to stay calm, focussed and the players need to fight for it every week.

Guidetti, has went from hero to villain very quickly and while he struggles to recapture his early form, a lot of other flaws in his game have shown through.
The bottom line is, he was never our player to start with and has no obligation to stay. Griffiths seems to be back in favour and Commons will play when he is fit, but as long as the team keep the same system it would seem Scepovic is not in RD's plans?

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Mar 2015 16:41:45
Jamie I agree. No real harm done and better taking our eye of this game than the one on Sunday. Players looked really disappointed (and rightly so) so will be wanting to kick on now

I think Stokes, Johanson and commons will be the 3. With henderson coming on later in the game

Think Izzy will be back in at lb. Also anyone know if ciftci is banned or is it overturned

Agree1 Disagree1

05 Mar 2015 17:00:59
Stokes shouldn't be anywhere near the team again. Him Ambrose and Forrest have got to shown the door and soon.

Agree0 Disagree2

05 Mar 2015 17:22:50
DesH I cannot understand how you can decide now, after Ambrose has played in all four back four position within the last few games, that you want Ambrose to be shown the door . Even the most negative Ambrose "abusers " for want of a better word will admit he has done well recently .
I cannot remember Ambrose doing anything to bring his name, or that of the club into disrepute . Are you sure you have the right man,? Or are you judging him on non football issues .

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 19:26:38
For me stokes and Forrest haven't done enough and should be moved on. I think biton is a must on Sunday. Kieran I think ciftci is ok to play.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 19:32:05
Ciftci is clear to play Kieran, If not Stokes it will probably be Forrest Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 22:43:48
So by all thinking, and we treat everyone the same, what about denayer . He doesn't want to be here next season, do we not pick him??
We get loan players for a reason. Too improve our team. no doubt we'll get more next season . Loan players aren't ideal but we know the score when we get them . Not happening for guidetti at the moment but I don't think its lack of effort . For me, he's at our club, trying his best . It's not been good enough recently and that's why he's been on the bench .

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 00:25:20
Non football issues. What is that supposed to mean?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 12:04:23
Chris02 was "pi$$ed off" cause bitton should of been on from start, forrest hopeless and wakaso is possibly one of the worst players I have ever seen wear the hoops.

Jamiebhoy your right mate. St Johnstone loss was no real harm, it just would of been a boost winning before sundays game

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 17:21:41
U tell me what non football reasons are, all I know that for football reasons Ambrose reasons Ambrose certainly should be kept at the club, he didn't make the mistakes that put us out of Europa this season.

Well sadly I was proved right with my post on Monday about some players needing a rest (for which most disagreed with me about) A combination of things contributed to our defeat last night, tiredness, complacency and poor decisions by Delia. On plus side it was a league game so we have room to recover, if it had been one of our cup games goodbye treble. Hopefully it will be a wake up call that if we are complacent and stop working we will get beaten. We have played a lot of games in a short space of time, with more to come so the players need handling better with more rest rather than extra training

05 Mar 2015 16:46:50
Timalloy, having won something like eight league games in a row, I cannot recall you after anyone of them saying good decisions by Deila played a role .

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 12:11:31
Chris02 mate you never will. Last season at 8 game all we heard was lennon this, lennon that. Yes there was some bad decisions made aganist St Johnstone, but end of the day no manager doesn't make a bad decisiion and Deila does not get credit he deserves.

Likes of Timalloy don't like Deila and will pounce on any mistake he makes

Is Boerrigter injured again/still? I reckon if he wasn't made of chocolate he would fit really well into either wing of the front 3. If he's injury free I'd have him ahead of Forrest tbh.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

05 Mar 2015 12:01:47
U havin a laugh! What has boerrigter ever done in a celtic top? And I know wee Forrest has been really off the boil lately but he's done more than sick note ever will! boerrigter should be one of the 1st out the door this summer! He's done nothin since he came to us! And even when he's been on the park I've not been impressed! Just another bit of deadwood that needs cleared out!

05 Mar 2015 13:50:45
The Tampon (Boerrigter) played 45 mins for the Development Squad last Thursday and on Monday too.

05 Mar 2015 19:29:39
Chris somethings need to be said. That man has been at our club on a healthy wage for a long time and he has contributed very little. I think he should be on the exit list for the summer. It's easier said than done though the man has a contract so doesn't have to go any where

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 10:46:07
Chris I'm sure The Tampon doesn't make it through most days without his fix of Celtic Rumours & Banter page.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 17:31:39
Darylbhoy, I don't know how you know that Boerrigter doesn't read these threads .
Virgil said he read the Celtic fan forum threads
So if Virgil read our forums, how do you know Boerrigter doesn't read them too, he probably has the time.
It really takes a very brave person to call someone a disparaging name., whilst hiding behind a user name .
Boerrigter has cost Celtic very little in wages, as insurance pays for the periods. he is out injured .

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 09:05:54
I don't know if anyone will agree with me the guy who scored for St Johnstone should have been off the park for IMO a shocking tackle on Leigh griffiths. I have seen red cards for a lot less.killy.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

06 Mar 2015 17:32:39
I thought it was a definite red . He ran twenty yards to get Griffiths .

Looks like last night was just one game too many for the players. They looked mentally and physically tired and who can blame them thev've played 9 times in just over 4 weeks. Agree with some posters about forest. Doesn't bring anything to the side and stokes looked lively for about the 1st 10 mins. Ready for pelters here but thought ambrose played well last night. Made some good tackles and put a couple of decent balls into the box.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

05 Mar 2015 08:27:12
No pelters from me about Ambrose, I reckon he gets a bit of a hard time and unfair to be the whipping boy everytime there's a poor result. Surely it's a team performance anyway?

Didn't see the game last night but my Son text me in the first half 'this is dyer we won't win tonight'

Maybe a game to much but Celtic should have the strength and depth to cope. Anyway, I'm sure Ronny will deal with it and we don't have the god given right to win every game.

Forrest is severely lacking confidence at the moment, never made any secret of the fact that I like him but injuries seem to be taking their toll.

Onto Sunday now

Agree3 Disagree1

05 Mar 2015 09:09:02
Honestly thought we would see a bit rotation last night. If we're using tiredness as an excuse then will our 'strongest' side, or most of it, not be just as or even more tired on sunday? Or does RD make changes for sunday?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 11:26:49
Tell your son "dire" is spelt wrongly :-)

05 Mar 2015 11:59:28
Or maybe Mrs E is Danny Dyer's mum!

{Ed001's Note - that would certainly explain a thing or two about Danny Dyer.....}

05 Mar 2015 12:23:01
The game was Danny Dyer and Celtic didn't win so same thing :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2015 17:31:31
It takes a lot of guts and self esteem to post about a game you haven't seen . I wonder is your son Danny a lucky judge or a knowledgeable judge . Many people I spoke to at half time, although not excited by what they had seen, were reasonably happy that Celtic would raise the pace like on Sunday and win the game .
Wasn't to be unfortunately
