Afternoon ED007, just wanted to add my bit to various posters on both sites going on about possible signings. On bears site all you hear is "he is a tim" on Celtic site "he is Celtic daft or has Irish roots"
Can I remind everyone on our site our greatest ever manager Big Jock was a non Catholic, also Danny McGrain, Kenny Dalglish etc.. Today's team probably has less Catholic players than Rangers. We are no longer the "Pope's Eleven" which used to be shouted at Parkhead for years.
Over the years we have signed Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Honduran, Israeli, Swedish, Danish, Dutch players etc.. Why? Because we are Celtic, we are an INCLUSIVE club, we welcome everybody to our great club.
I do not care if our next striker is Ian Paisley's nephew(what a coup that would be ha ha) as long as he scores goals for Celtic.
Our Celtic family is worlwide and we are proud of this. hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Both clubs have moved on Tim, it's just a pity some fans haven't.}

I doubt McCoist and Co. would have the same opinion if a Catholic player became available just the moronic element of fans.

At the moment over at the "Shame" they would take the popes son if he was a good player!! It's just the idiots that think that Rankers need players such as Healy and Lafferty as we can all see its working very well for them!! 2 off the best strikers that Rankers have ever had!!
Actually heard this the other day, Healys last 3 clubs he's been at he's failed to score a single goal!!

Why just cause we are a Scottish club let are players go cheap clubs from brazil don't they get top dollar and a sell on fee kayal ,ki, forrest goes I say slap 25mil on there heads and say we want 50% of the sell on fee but we mite take 19mil and 30% fee lol WE ARE CELTIC NOT TAX DODGERS when this fair play rule comes in u watch Celtic prosper Hail Hail


Plus with tax dodgers growing down the pan we can sit back with are debt free well apart from like 9 mil and laugh all the way to the bank unlike rangers that will soon be owned by a bank lol

I agree - we should bleed the clubs down south dry. If they want the player bad enough they'll up their bid and if not they can walk. Look at Chelsea's bid for Luka Modric. Started at 20M and they eventually offered 45M. Modric is a special talent but nonetheless his importance to Spurs is as important as say Kayal for us.

On the flip side they put 2M pricetags on mediocre players which is a lot of money for Scottish clubs to spend on a single player.

I guess there's a balancing act to be done though. 10M means more to Celtic than 45M to Spurs and it'd be difficult to turn down while the player himself is also likely to want to go to the EPL. For example, 10M to the current management team would fund transfers for the best part of 2 seasons and won't upset anyone while 45M would only just about replace Luka Modric at Spurs.

Just been reading on Man Utd banter page " The struggles of Man Utd "" What a post ,it's the longest I've ever seen good job the poster isn't a Rangers fan......DH {Ed007's Note - I had to read that mate, that is what you call a post.}

The guy (or could be gal) sure knows what they're talking about ,would put our so called journos up here to shame.....DH {Ed007's Note - Puts all the wee snidey one line posts to shame a bit eh? lol That is what the English sites are like, look at Arsenal and LFC as well. They actually talk about things lol}
