I did not enjoy that game one bit, it was like going back to how we played months ago.
We did pass the ball really well at times until we got to their box and everything was in first gear against a dreadful motherwell team who looked out of sorts and were there for the taking.
I feel the time has come to criticise sinclair. I get so fustrated watching him and i just think he is nowhere good enough any more. Thanks for everthing but enough is enough, its like playing a man down.
On the bright side, if we win on saturday then its still been a good week, with a kick up the back side to go with it.

Time was up for Sinclair the 2nd half of last season.

Then we would be out of Europe bigbubs.

Who's to say his replacement wouldn't have been in the same spot to score? All if's but's and maybe's. Fair enough you rate him but he is a constant source of frustration for me along with Lustig.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 22:37:23
Second half performance for me was a joke. Too many passes across the back line, griffiths was poor, thought Hayes done ok considering he's left footed playing out on the right, not blaming him for tonight but for me Sinclair shouldn't be near the team. The annoying thing tonight was you could see the possibility of them getting that one chance as we were inviting them to have a go. absolutely no one to blame but ourselves for not getting the 3 points. the result feels like a defeat tonight.

06 Dec 2018 07:17:08
If sinclair wasnt anywhere near the team the other night we'd be out of Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 09:31:41
Yeah he scored in Norway no disputing that, however his performances have been nowhere near what they should be and that’s going by his own high standards he set in his first season. It’s a team game and for me he’s not performing well enough to merit a start every week. When you compare Forrest for instance on the opposite wing, he’s flying, banging in goals left right and centre just now and even when he’s not scoring he’s creating and giving 100%. I’m just not seeing that with Sinclair ( just my opinion)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 09:45:21
Garry Sinclair has been our top goal scorer for the past two seasons and was playing very well until the weekends game.

Celtic fans love a scape goat.
This rubbish has been said about
Brown
Forrest
McGregor and now Sinclair over the last 5 years.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 11:03:53
It’s not about having a scapegoat, for me it’s an opinion and I don’t think sinclairs up at the level he has shown he can produce. I’m in no way pointing the finger of blame at him for last night. I’m merely saying that for me he can play so much better than he is. Yes he’s been our top goal scorer past 2 years but purely judging it on what we see are we to believe he’s hit the heights of his first season last year or this season so far? What I would say is he has contributed as far as goals are concerned the past two seasons but griffiths and now Edouard should be looking to better it given it’s they're job mainly to put the ball in the net.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 12:16:51
So he's not hitting the hights we know he can but still out scoring and out assisting every player in our club.

So your are saying that a guy that scores more goals than any other player and has more assists than any other player AND can get better shouldn't be anywhere near our team.

Aye make sense now.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 13:18:11
Calm down kev, clearly your blinkered to any negative regarding performance or players. I couldn’t care less if Sinclair was top goal scorer last season or the previous season. This is this season and for me ( obviously not you) sinclairs overall performances haven’t been good enough. Tell me something, why earlier in the season did rodgers drop him to the bench? To rest him? I think not. His performances weren’t up to it and it was obvious to anyone that cared to admit it and in my own opinion his performances are still not up to it!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 13:45:29
No I am not blinkered but I also don't just single out the scape goat
Sinclair has played well this season. Scored goals (including winners against both Aberdeen and rosenburg) and made assists tae.
The last 2 games he has been poor but so has every attacking player we have except Ryan Christie.
But only one singled out for He should never be near our first team.
Why not say same about the rest of them?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 13:46:46
Oh and we know he was dropped for playing poor.
But answer this
Why was he brought back in when he should never be near our first team eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 13:53:19
Sorry Garry but I completely agree with Kev. Because Sinclair was in such astonishing form the first season, everyone expects him to run riot every game and score every game. Apart from the fact he’s been our top scorer the last two seasons, he’s currently scored as many goals as Ryan Christie who is everyone’s favourite player at the moment but what is regarded as sparkling form for Christie, is judged not good enough for Sinclair. Sinclair went through some dark times in England earlier in his career and he loves the fact that BR has faith in his ability and doesn’t judge him on his last game. We’re lucky to have him at Celtic but if we start putting unreasonable pressure on him, or other players, that will have a negative impact on their performances and they will go elsewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2018 15:07:04
COYBIG, no need to be sorry mate, it’s all about opinions and mines clearly differs from others, I’ve absolutely no problems with that. There’s been many a player mentioned on this site that’s been criticised at times by numerous guys. Kev I’ve mentioned Sinclair as for me ( not you) isn’t doing enough. That’s MY observation, we’ll just need to agree to disagree.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2018 00:55:02
You’re right Garry, we’re all entitled to our opinion and to voice it. I just hope that my comments give some justification to why I think he deserves his place and why I think we should be careful what we wish for because I think Sinclair will be very difficult to replace.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 21:48:27
Decent first half good goal chopped off but second half was abysmal and we got what we deserved eddy and sinc were terrible, and wee griff needs to do more, hayes just cuts inside and passes, we need to turn up on Sat against a stuffy killie.

05 Dec 2018 22:01:44
Thought Hayes was not to bad.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 22:08:05
Kev he created nothing mate kept cutting inside but after seeing the well goal again it looks like a barge on gamboa and how they finished with 11 men is baffling.

05 Dec 2018 22:20:14
i know we need to rotate players at times but to many changes tonight for mr we shouldve played same team from sunday pressed the game from start but in putting brown and ntcham in middle we lost the drive from midfield tonight missed forrest aswell and def need to invest in another forward.

06 Dec 2018 00:13:25
Got to agree too many changes. Brendan must be seeing something different in training with sinky as he was awful tonight.

06 Dec 2018 00:51:34
Should always start with the strongest 11. When you go 2/ 3 up then make 3 subs to rest those that need it.

05 Dec 2018 21:45:38
Anyone on here that ever says gamboa should play in front of lustig again should be taken out and SHOT!

Disagree shot twice Kev.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 22:01:59
If our second goal was chalked off for a foul, then their equaliser came from a worst foul on Gamboa he jumps to head the ball and the well player takes him out, I agree Gamboa is terrible but for me he was wronged on this occasion. Clancy has to be one of the worst refs in the business. oldkilly.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 22:22:20
He should never have let the ball bounce.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 22:46:09
If that's lustig the ball would have been headed clear.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 21:46:59
How we managed to throw that away i"ll never know f***** raging. This 7 changes pish. Just put a team out there to get the job done then make the changes. Hayes and Gamboa nowhere good enough to be in the squad never mind the team. Griffiths awful tonight and Brown too many sideways passes.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2018 22:12:57
Stevie unfortunately for me l don't like saying it but Brown seems to slow down the pace we play at. The sideway pass is all to common for him these days. McGregor was unreal in the role over the last few weeks. Have to say as much as l like Scotty lm not sure another player would have gotten back in the team the way the mid field was playing. Saying that we should still have beaten this lot.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's no need for Brown to drop deep and collect the ball from our CB's they have enough about their game to start moving the ball forward - especially Benkovic and Ajer when he's in there and even Boyata's improved - if the CB's bring the ball out it would move the whole team up the park.
It's like one of the commentators said about Christie, earlier in the season (and in these type of games) our forwards were dropping deep to collect the ball with their back to goal whereas Christie is looking to run forward into space and give the defence and midfield options. There's no point giving the ball to LG 25 yards out with his back to goal.
The quality and consistency of our AM players is a serious cause for concern for me, I was saying it months ago when people were going on about the defence and long term it's needing as much attention as the defence does.}

05 Dec 2018 22:47:50
We need a penalty box striker and a creative midfielder ( number 10) .

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 23:24:33
Touchwood Ed we'll have Powell in a few weeks that'll freshen up the CAM to ST options.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think it'll be the summer before Powell moves anywhere.}

05 Dec 2018 21:46:10
How we drew that game I will never know. Perfectly good goal chopped off and we missed a pen. For me it's a must that we get a new striker in this window.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2018 22:56:41
I don't know why Griffith's even hits the pen. Christie and Ntcham both scored penalties recently, so Griffiths shouldn't be near it. Knew he was going to miss, he and Sinclair hurried their pens in the last 2 games. Christie is the player in form, he should take it.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 23:27:25
Agree can't see much wrong with the goal chopped off (expected) but that penalty was shocking and agree both rushed their penalties which is uncharacteristic of both players.

Brendan taking number 7 to a new level, with 7 changes tonight.
In an earlier post i suggested 5 changes
and got them all correct but missed out Gamboa and Hayes.
The only negative with so many changes was what happened at hearts and killie but at the same time some players needed a rest. In Brendan we trust.

One of my Celtic mates has got me a ticket for Motherwell game tonight, he has business contacts everywhere, so him and me are going to game in the "posh" seats if Motherwell have any lol.

Worried about Simonovic playing tonight, in my opinion he make too many mistakes and lacks heart which the Motherwell players will test tonight with their physical approach, I will take any victory tonight, even a scrappy 0-1 as I think the sheep will do their usual disappearing act at Ibrokes.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2018 11:47:16
He was good enough for back to back trebles. Too many people on here want to condem him before a ball is kicked. If you’re worried about the physicality of the opposition, big Jozo is your man and if BR thinks he’s good enough that’s good enough for me.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 11:49:13
Yeah mate sheep will lie down as usual.

05 Dec 2018 12:00:02
He didn't lack any heart playing at Mirror. Just ask Kenny Miller.

05 Dec 2018 12:59:08
I think he has concentration problems but he certainly doesn't lack heart.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2018 14:48:46
If Simu could get back to the form he showed in his first 18 months he would be a regular fixture in the team, can't see why he can't get back to the player he was, maybe just lost a bit of confidence with a few dodgy appearances.
