Just had a flurry of texts and calls regarding the signing of Templetim. Seems that the paperwork was not processed or registered in time and the whole computer crash is a smokescreen.I did find it strange that the SFA system would crash on deadline day,hardly inundated with deals,strange.Some cyber savvy tims have supposedly gained evidence proving there was no crash.ED007; You heard anything of this?........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - I heard some rumours about it GJ, I don't know how true it all is.}

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Correct am sure they had help to get it done
same old rangers same old sfa

Agree11 Disagree1

If it's true, it should be investigated fully and The SFA exposed for what they are.
The corruption of these crooks is no joke and their manipulation of Scottish Football in order to suit their agenda must end.
The Italian football scandal has nothing on the dodgy practices and cheating of the SFA - Sevco Favouring A***holes.

Agree5 Disagree0

Wow. It's never ending with you lot is it.

Hows the Fergus McCann phone hacking investigation getting on?

TTG

Agree1 Disagree4

So the SFA wreck the career of another promising young Scottish player lol

Agree3 Disagree0

A wee quiz for the deluded ones on here.

1. Who or what is "Sevco"?
2.How is the wee man in the bunnet investigation going?
3.How easy or difficult do you think it would be to trace E-Mails or fax transactons on transfer day considering the enormous amount of data that was acquired and compiled by the RTC?
4. What are the chances of this ridiculous accusation being true and evading the radar of the three stooges Regan,Lawwell and Doncaster?
5. Why the relentless pursuit of all things relative to 150 Edmiston drive?

P.O.B.

Agree1 Disagree2

Pob u give ur head peace dnt be throwing rubbish around like tht i heard rangers tried to sign calamero. But the computer crashed
Its an injustice

Peter cardiff

Agree1 Disagree0

Pob asks '' what are the chances of this rediculous accusation being true'' about the same odds as the jorge cadette accusations being true.. and somebody lost their job for cheating to help rangers in that case. shamrock

I see Arthur boruc is looking for a club since not renewing his contract with fiorintina. Would you take the holy goalie back?
Toibhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable9

We don't need him now mate got 3 good keepers and he's getting on a bit.

Agree6 Disagree2

Not again.every week this comes up. Never again ed,puleeeeeez.artybhoy

Agree2 Disagree2

Always liked him but towards the end was taking the proverbial so to speak.
Unfortunately, its just another example of a player who felt the grass was greener and probably chased the cash. Did it improve his career, no. Did it improve his dosmetic lifestyle, I doubt that also. I think Artur probably wishes he'd never left but hey ho, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Stevo Dundee

Is it true the orks are getting there titles stripped, and people are saying they will go to the team that finished 2nd, that's what they do in the Olympics, this true ed? {Ed007's Note - I have no idea, sorry. It's not something I am really that interested in. What will be will be. Personally I don't want awarded any titles that we haven't won.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Its not just a case of stripping titles if rangers have cheated they will be stripped of the points the league table will be adjusted ... and it will show we did win them with them at the bottom of the table

Agree10 Disagree2

Nobody came second to dark side Mordor. They cheated and the true first place team will be rightfully awarded their titles.
If the SPL does not start to show some leadership and integrity, I'll sue them for my wasted season ticket money during those 5 years, which the SPL might make a non competition by not awarding the rightful winners their trophy and medals.

Agree11 Disagree1

Celtic didn't come second in those 5 years , Celtic came first. And although all SPL teams were cheated, Celtic has been cheated of 5 titles. If Celtic don't get the titles then rangers indeed have achieved their aim of depriving Celtic of their titles.

Agree11 Disagree2

Stripping titles isn't punishment, let's get that straight.
That's taking back what was stolen.
Punishment for carrying out the cheating needs to follow. Particularly the five years prize money needs paid back and the seven years second place prize money also.

Agree11 Disagree1

Green's sevco rangers are a brand new club and have zero titles.
This issue pertains to the old club being liquidated only.
Green is undermining the integrity of the CVA process. His insistence it's the same club is a lie and he would have foolish people believe a successful CVA is stupid as you can get the same club and history and logos etc,... Without needing to pay creditors anything.

Agree10 Disagree1

They are in for a shock, I understand that several entities shafted by no CVA are looking at legal side right now and chasing Newco for Oldco debts as they insist on passing themselves off as said oldco, branding etc, Which is against Scottish liquidation laws. New can of worms about to be opened up. I for one have no desire to have our club be given the tainted titles. Let them go down in the record books as removed from Rangers FC...

Agree6 Disagree3

This is a huge issue and the result will not appease all celtic fans.
persoanly I'm against receiving back dated titles, would rather these simply marked against them as withdrawn for cheating. nothing will take away those feelings of utter disappointment on last days back in 2003 & 5. same applies to mates of mine involved in cup finals. I'm comfortable having the records rewritten showing the cheating resulted in stripping of titles. there is also the consideration of where does this end? who chases money for not getting into europe etc etc. the cleanest way is to strip them and the ensuing embarrassment enough. Stevo Dundee

Agree3 Disagree5

Cheated of titles lol. Listen to yourselves.

Don't let your hatred of Rangers get the best of you. Rangers won those titles because Celtic weren't good enough, stop with this cheating nonsense, it's pathetic!!

TTG

Agree3 Disagree15

TTG, what else wld you call it? If proven u used dual contracts its against the laws and as such punishment will be given. TTG, another point, petty I know, but unlike on your site our Ed posts "your" comments unlike the many that you dont ever see. Even now after all is said and done I get the impression that your opinion is that you've done nothing wrong, scary thing is theres plenty like you, deluded. My points were reasonable and not of a rambling nature, not of hatred etc. Just a balanced opinion that surely must be realistic when the truth comes out. You're the one full of hatred, nobody likes getting found out eh!! Stevo Dundee

Agree10 Disagree1

Having dual contracts and paying playres undisclosed fees is against the rules. Look what happened to Sion last year. Celtic were award two 3:0 victories. The SFA/SFL/SPL have no option but to do the same. As we know Oldco had players on EBTs in every single game from the last 10 years. This will also affect European games. The result of that will be the rewriting of every league table and cup final involving oldco during that period. That means inevitably Oldco will be stripped of these titles. Redistributing them now is of only minor importance. The biggest question is about compensation. This will amount to all prize monies won and a claim from loss of earnings from European participation.

Also it may effect European teams. UEFA is almost certain to rewrite all of Rangers games as 0:3 defeats. This will mean that any team knocked out of Europe in the last 10 years will be able to claim compensation.

That bill could run up to about another 100m. and is probably the reason no one really made any attempt to save the club from liquidation.

you are talking about a potential liabliltiy of £250million all together.

As rangers have liquidated it is unclear if that charge can be passed on to newco. Charles Green like to claim that Newco is Rangers and has oldco's history. He has agreed to accept oldco's footballing debts (preferation payment to creditors is illigal for a liquidated company) as a conditon of the share transfer. So there is at least a case to be explored by lawyers regarding repayments/compensation.

The SFA shold also be worried. If they knowingly allowed Oldco to operate with secret contracts then they might also be be liable. As Ogalvie is a benificary of one these contracts it is a difficult case to make that the SFA president was ignorant of this practice. Of course the SFA could then try and make Ogalvie personally liable( after all as a director he does have personal libility).

This all has nothing to do with Celtic or fans or hatred. It is industrial scale corruption and could see the SFA loosing UEFA membership.

This still has a long way to go

Think we have made some great signings here folks!

Ambrose cost roughly same as Kayal, comes from the same league and Kayal is now valued several times what we paid for him! If we get anything like the same value out of ambrose then job well done!

Miku came from mid table la liga! If we tried to sign mid table EPL forward it would cost millions so Miku is much better value.

Lassad was a top scorer in La Liga 2. Again if we tried to sign a top chamionship striker it would cost millions. Spanish footbal is rated higher than English so all good business.

It's much better for the club to make value signings like this rather than pay millions and jeapordise finances. Even if we are sound it's always better to be prudent as it keeps the club secure. Much better policy than the one executed by our nighbours over the years!

Our scouting department doing the job they are paid for I think.

Hail, hail!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

I agree we seem to have made some good acquisitions and time will tell their value to the team. However I think we were left scrambling around a bit at the last minute as the list of targets got shorter and shorter by the hour on the final day.
The fact they were ineligible for the Hibs game showed how fine we cut it.
I look forward to seeing the new arrivals and also hope our injury problems ease during this International break.

Agree4 Disagree2

Miku is valued at around ten million euros. Getting him for our CL challenge is outstanding. But he needs to do the business. They all need to gel with the rest of the squad quickly.

Agree2 Disagree0

I like how the rumoured price if miku gets higher with every different post about him! Whose next...... Someone pick a number! {Ed007's Note - Swansea bid £5 million, Trabzonspor bid 4 Million Euros and Reading made an undisclosed bid, all three offers were rejected. Getafe rate the player at 8 -10 million Euros.}

Agree1 Disagree0

What's the story with the potential valuation of a loaned out player anyway?
He does not belong to Celtic as you haven't paid a transfer fee.
If he does well how much are Getafe going to accept?,and if he flops in Scotland nobody will want him.

Ed, any idea if the portugese teams can still make signings?
see benfica have just sold arguably their best player in witsel, added to the sale of garcia {Ed007's Note - The Portuguese window has closed.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Why would benfica sell two of their top players and not replace them going into CL group stages? Their fans must be slightly annoyed!

Ed, you keep saying about these signings not being on lennons wanted list, and yes they were probably not, however, Lennon was quoted saying he was very surprise he got Miku. That suggest he was to expensive and to goood a player for the celtic. But he's a fantastic signing and not many people no that. Ed these signings are brilliant. {Ed007's Note - Honestly, what do you expect NL to say? No wonder NL was very surprised, that could easily suggest that he thought he would have been buying players, not loaning him. See how suggestions can be taken either way.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Miku has got an option to buy {Ed007's Note - The option to buy is only a fee agreed between the clubs. There is still a financial package to be agreed with the player and his agent just like the Forster deal. The player (or his agent) has not committed to anything beyond this season.}

Agree2 Disagree1

That's a fair point Ed. I don't think that these players were anywhere near the level that Lennon wanted but I will wait and see what happens with them. {Ed007's Note - That's all we can do because nobody has a clue about them apart from Youtube. How many people when they heard Miku's name remembered he had scored two goals against Real Madrid without reading it? I watch every Madrid game and I can't remember him.}

Agree1 Disagree4

Ed why are u being so negative. So who was on lennons list that is better than miku? {Ed007's Note - Artjoms Rudnevs. I am not being negative, I am being realistic and looking at the bigger picture.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He went to hamburg very early on in the market so we couldn't get him because we didn't know if we would be in the CL {Ed007's Note - So why did we bid £3 million for him? Surely NL wouldn't have knowingly lied to the fans would he? Or perhaps the board told him money was available all summer.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree we should have got him but miku is liga tested. And just to correct my first post Lennon quoted saying he didn't think we could get him, not surprised. {Ed007's Note - And did he pass or fail that test? So we should save £3 million and rather than sign a player our manager wants sign someone because they played in La Liga. La Liga produces poor players just the same as every other league. Two seasons in La Liga at 27 years of age is not La Liga tested, you need to be consistently playing at that level to be proven. He never played in La Liga until he was 25!}

Agree0 Disagree0

La Liga tested.... so was Juan Manuel Ortiz and i think our friends across the city will tell you how good he was.

Looking for some information on game in Barcelona, if anyone can help I'll be forever grateful. I have contacted Celtic ticket office and been told I cant buy tickets for the Celtic supporters allocation because I dont have a season ticket, which is fair enough. I'm sure / hoping it won't be a problem sitting with the Barcelona fans, but does anyone who has been before know if there is any areas of the stadium to avoid? For example, the area where the Barca Ultra's sit! Any other information the Nou Camp would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Greg

Believable0 Unbelievable0

JUST GO TO THE NOU CAmp youi'll get a ticket no problem done it the last time tim

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi Greg I am in the same boat, I will be staying about 50Km from Barcelona and luckily will have plenty time to sort something out in Spain well before the game. If you hear of anything re tickets, preferred areas of stadium etc please post and I will do the same.Cheers. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Last time we were at Barca, you could buy a ticket at the ground. Then they just kept opening more of the top tier, the more Celtic fans came in. Get down early for your ticket.
