Hope you all had an epic title celebration!

Thought Newcastle's Rondon was just the sort of forward that we've been crying out for for a couple of years. Is he well beyond our reach too? Are there other players in that mould you fellas know? Maybe Rafa will bring him along when he comes :)

16m he'll cost. 20m if WBA go up. He's a very good focal point though if that's what you're after.

From the start of the new millennium we have completely dominated Scottish football 50 title to there 54 but at least 4 of them should be stripped during the ebt years. Onto 9 now after we do the treble also heard the big hearts forward somehow hammy today so he might miss final.

Happy birthday ma man. Good wee present for ye the day ed. First half was ok but we took control in the second half and took our goals well, lustigs diving header was a belter. Loved the celebrations after it and im still celebrating now, hope the wife tops it off later. On a side note the wishaw wizard getting to the final again was great to see. i've met him once or twice when ma boss treats me to the comfy seats, cracking guy, u could see what it means to him today, love seeing tims doing well.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Steph. I'm not a big snooker fan but like to see Higgins do well so it's been a good day sports wise for us Tims. Let's hope he can beat Donald Trump's kid ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Id say wee trumpet is favourite especially after higgins emotional outpouring after it. Watched the other game and trump has nerves of steel. Fingers crossed for higgy bhoy tho.

Congratulations to our great club, said at the start of the season that this would be our toughest test on route to 9/ 10 IAR.
Officials allowed us to be kicked of the park.
13 pens given to our nearest challengers.
Massive injury list to key players.
Unsettling departure of the Management team.
Tough title winning week with passing of our heroes.

Enjoy these precious days, I remember when we struggled to even win the odd cup final.

I will now be able to relax and cheer on the Bhoys when I get to Santa Ponsa next weekend.
Hail Hail๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†.

Good post. Although the style hasn't been there the mentality of the group is something to be applauded. It's been a bit of a slog, but they've done it. There's been turmoil in the side with injuries and other circumstances. There's been up upheaval off the park. Credit to Lenny at this point for coming in under difficult circumstances. And there was an awful transfer window to start the season. But through it all we're on the verge of something really special. Mon the Hoops!

Great words by KT after the match. Fighting through pain for our badge. I don't care what clubs bid Celtic should refuse them all. Make this lad our future Captain and a Celt for life.

On another note aside from everyone on and off the park doing so well to get us 8 in a row just a wee mention for Scott Bain. His stats are incredible. He's taken his chance and deserves to be No 1 next season. To think we got him for free and it now saves us from shelling out a fortune to replace Gordon is a great piece of business by the Club.

Great to see the Bhoys finally get over the line.

We have not been at our most scintillating for large parts of the season, probably due to the sheer number of injuries we have had to contend with.

However, we have always looked like we had higher levels to move to and did so when required on the most part and won the vast majority of the important matches.

So 8 down and 2 to go.

Congratulations to our players, management and staff at Glasgow Celtic. Another wonderful achievement, and fantastic finish to what has been a sad and emotional week. These players keep producing and now have the opportunity to re-write the history books with winning the Scottish cup in three weeks time. What an achievement that would be. Regardless who gets the managers job in the summer, let's get behind him and I'm sure we'll get to nine. Hail hail all.

I think this has been the greatest achievement in recent years - apart from the Invincible's - due to the many distractions, problems and hurdles to overcome since way-back to last summer's 'discontent', all the way through an injury minefield, the desertion of a manager at such a crucial time and the sheer guts, determination and bottle to go unbeaten - so far - under NL to secure the title at one of the toughest venues in Scotland. Well Done Glasgow Celtic, Champions!

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate. Now to get the Treble Treble in the bag and regroup in the summer, it's been a long, arduous season and with what we've all had to go through since the fiasco of last summer it's a testament to those players that they've got us this far and so close to something really special.}

04 May 2019 16:01:07
This squad may go down as one of the best we have ever had. May not have reached the feats of Europe but after this season it shows the class the players and the club have shown to get us to this point. Onwards and upwards from here. Surely we canโ€™t have a worse season than this for heartache, injuries and turmoil. Keep up the good work ED always is appreciated.

It's funny that nearly every newspaper is running a story about Aberdeen "warning" us about our potential title party today. Never once glorifying the fact that if we win today it's another step closer. Always negative and always trying unease our fan base. No surprise there.

Read an interview with broony this morning where he says he hopes the Celtic support will one day forgive Brendan and welcome him back at Celtic Park, how great he did in his time at Celtic etc etc. Hard to argue with what he won for us in his time here and I think you'd struggle to find a fan that would criticise his win rate and trophy haul, however I wouldn't hold my breath broony on waiting on that day coming anytime soon. Brendan walked out on us at a crucial stage of the season, any Celtic diehard, minded person wouldn't have done that, no way, and that is what stuck and still sticks in the throat of most fans I'd say. The work needed done to the team come the summer also I feel is huge. We've got some fantastic players but for me Brendan also left us in a bit of a state. We've accumulated so much dead wood it's unreal, mixed in with loan signings and out of contract players, were potentially looking at the possibility of up to 10/ 12 players that will/ could leave with I'd suggest 5/ 6 MUST key signings. For me out goes de vries, gamboa, Izzy, commper, hendry, boyata, ( possibly lustig) , benyu, kouassi, Allan, Benkovic, weah and Burke. That's just 13 players off the top of my head either loans, out of contract or just not good enough to be there, coming in your looking at a CB, RB, cover at LB for tierney, possibly another GK, ST, a creative midfielder, and depending on Sinclair leaving or not ( and I know Shved is coming in) another LW. That's just my thinking others may want signings in other areas. My point is yeah Rodgers brought us success and I'll be forever grateful for it, but he's also jumped ship at a crucial stage and left us with I feel the biggest overhaul of the squad I can remember at the one time in many a year.

Only he knows why he left us so abruptly - although cash would have been a big factor - instead of trying to achieve an historical achievement that would probably never have been beaten?
His relationship with PL was obviously very strained and it may have been aimed at him in particular, or he may have been pushed?
Whatever, the circumstances, it's all confined to the 'secrecy clause' and may never be fully explained or understood.
It still hurts the support and obviously the players and the untimely exit could have sabotaged the whole season if it wasn't for the mental strength and determination of the players and of course NL stepping in to calm the storm and keep us on course.
No matter who The Board appoint in the summer; The Celtic support will always remember those who carried on through turbulent times and never forget those who turned their back and betrayed us.
