come on broon gets a hard time but i dont like it when he's not in the team We miss him for his swagger and drive in games, imagine playing against him every week? same as barry robson not the most skillfull or fastest but a bhoy who gives 100% and plays with what a team needs what every team needs that wee streak that when you stand you know they will be ther at your back no matter what level you play at..

only my opinion. Davy bhoy ktf

ed wheres our keeper?? lol.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I'd love to play against Broon every week... he's useless, like a 3-year old chasing a balloon. Juarez is twice the player Brown will ever be

Agree0 Disagree0

So what team do you play in? not doubting efrans ability as a player but is he up for scottish game? i'd have hoped he was but not sure..
davy bhoy ktf

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 I dont agree with you about keepers in spl a good keeper can get his team 10 -15 points more per season hate to say it but shagger's penalty save against sammy won them league anyway if we have aspirations to progress in europe we will need a safe pair of hands in goal. This year we need good european run our coefficient is getting dragged down especially last years poor displays we need a big run in europe this year to lift our coefficient back up. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - So your GK should be the highest paid player at a club? No way is an SPL GK worth those kinds of points a season to CFC or Rangers. McGregor saved Samaras penalty, Celtic conceded less goals than Rangers last season in the league, so get Forster back up and give him 25k a week?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I never said make him highest paid player but a good goalkeeper should be higher on lenny's priorities than it seems to be at the moment. Zaluska was good at Dundee Utd but finds it hard to handle pressure with Celtic, Cervi is unproven.
Only have to look back to last season when our good attacking play was ruined by some howlers in defence. A good goalie would eliminate chances of that happening. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - So would replacing Majstorovic IMO}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed - would agree with you on Majstorovic. Who do you think Celtic with play in central defence next season. I'm hoping it will be Kelvin Wilson and Wanyama. Both have got pace, and that is something we've lacked.

K. {Ed007's Note - I was thinking that Wanyama would start off in DM and gradually move back, I would rather see O'Dea than Majstorovic partner Wilson TBH K-Dot}

Agree0 Disagree0

Rogne and wilson would be best {Ed007's Note - Good shout}

Agree0 Disagree0

Went of Rogne following his performance against Rangers in the League Cup Final.

K. {Ed007's Note - Remember he has just turned 21 K-Dot}

Last year bellamy was unlucky with injuries but the season b4 he was in my opinion was 1 of the best players in the epl and was playing out of position, don't make me laugh big boabie the guy is still class {Ed007's Note - Last year he played in 35 matches for Cardiff, he hasn't scored more than 15 goals in a season since 2005 and scored 13 in his time at City}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

European football is changing and most top teams will move to a 4-3-3 system, like Barcelona play. Man City played something similar in Bellamy's last season there before going out on loan, and he was outstanding going forward, normally from the left. If Lennon has any ambitions to adopt a 4-3-3 at Celtic then Bellamy would be ideally suited to this.

There are some major hurdles to overcome though - fitness, wages, attitude and where he would live.

K.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2011 21:21:23
Anybody who says they dont want bellamy are aff there heads a know hes had some injury problems but he would still be one of the players in the spl if not the best

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Tony, Ed007 just been on phone with my cousin in London ( spurs daft) he says Livermore only played 1 match for spurs last year and Khumalo none he says no body rate them at spurs cannot understand why gers want them he is of the opinion harry wants them off wage bill Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather garra dembele we were linked with before proven goalscorer pacey and a handful in the air surely he would be available for a few mill and 60 odd grand wages were gonna spend on Bellamy ?? {Ed007's Note - Dememble signed for Freiburg in Germany last month}

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2011 20:59:51
Just heard the rumour that Bellamy "bellers" is willing to come back to paradise only if he gets too stay in Cardiff and supposedly Celtic have agreed that he can train with Cardiff during the week and fly up to Glasgow before match days and also that Celtic are willing to pay 75% of his massive £90,000 wage which would be roughly £63,000 that's a lot of wages for someone who is a shadow of the former 25 year old whippet Celtic signed in 2005, in my opinion he wouldn't suit hooper either I would rather spend half they wages eg. £35,000 bothroyds asking for and maybe a really good keeper for another £30,000 that would deal us a better hand rather than bellers as much as I love the guy he's passed his sell by date and too injury prone he would end up down in Cardiff on the bevvy every weekend thinking Celtic is a walk in the park. Let me know what yous think also spoke to a guy I used to valet his car he told me when Celtic where signing willo flood and when mowbary became boss he said that celtic are near a deal for a guy called aldo ? But he could be lying 2 weeks ago he said Celtic were signing larsson as a coach lol

Chrissybhoy {Ed007's Note - Hi Chrissy, welcome to the site mate, I don't recognise your name. Aldo de Nigris??? and there was a strong rumour about Larsson joining the coaching staff but it faded.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hi ed I check your site everyday without fail I love reading the mad stories I have never wrote always wanting to be concrete rumour as I feel people deserve the truth and also some crap lol for a chuckle but the guy I know is a good source he is a former scout for *name removed* u21 and also represents a few under 19s and younger players as an agent, he tells me alot of stuff that in the past has turned out true and I always look forward to speak every transfer window, I'll let you know if I hear anymore {Ed007's Note - Chrissy?? (you didn't leave a name lol!) No problem, feel free to join in with the banter/discussions as well}

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha sorry ed it was me chrissybhoy lol need to remember about leaving a name. Is it just me or is Celtic a bit quite this time around ? Have u any solid rumours {Ed007's Note - Nothing that is anything more than gossip Chrissy. With the team in Australia it is being left to Peter Lawwell to continue negotiations with players who have already met/spoke to NL and himself.}

Browns cockiness, swagger and gallousness hide his lack of ability mate, he gets in folks faces to annoy others off their game, which usually results in a brown booking after which he is aswell in the stand as he cant do a thing with a football. When he has a show of cockiness its funny as feck and we talk bout that rather than his contributions in footballing terms. Love that he likes a wind up at the same time Though jamie mac

There is no doubt bellamy would run riot for us and would put fear into the other side. I pray to god he signs

Believable2 Unbelievable4

But how often would he be fit enough to run riot? Thats the problem, plus his wages are boggin lol
Kevbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

His record last year 1xgoal per 3 games run riot now whos taken the mickey i dont think there would be many teams in spl worring if bellamy signed for yous 5 years ago not now big rab by the way

04 Jul 2011 19:48:54
I have asked my mates this question several times miko, can you mention one game since brown came to celtic where he has been the difference? My point being they struggled and or failed to Remember any such occasions, if he was that good the teams he hurt would trip off the tongue. Kayal, ledley, ki and commons carried him through so many games last season. Jamie mac(still not a brown man

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Jamie mac as a rangersman wouldnt have brown never rated him. have kayal at a drop of a hat big rab by the way evening ed007 hope your well {Ed007's Note - I'm good thanks Rab, hope you are well mate}

just seen Bellamy outside Glasgow Ceramics Studio

(you can do glass blowing here)

maybe he is having a new set of Knees made for when he signs for Celtic

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hey tony rangers lined with a loan move for Tottenham player BONGANI KHUMALO, dont know what his value is but in SCRABBLE {Ed007's Note - I saw that, along with Jake Livermore, so now that Shooter has been down in London with his begging bowl out, Durrant and AVB being best mates the world has seen since Fran and Anna and AF doing everything in his power to help Rangers with all the players he loans them every season(???), it really does look like Rangers warchest has been opened and they are planning for the future. I wait with baited breath to see if Juan Manuel Ortiz actually signs or will walk away like the rest of their targets have.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Only someone from the dark side would go anywhere near a blowing place ps how is vincent price aka gordon smith
marty bhoy {Ed007's Note - LOL}

Agree0 Disagree0

A 6-year contract for the best Goalie in Britain on £26,000 a week- the highest paid player in the SPL... some begging bowl he's got {Ed007's Note - So who exactly has cost money so far? Do you honestly believe that McGregor will stay at Rangers and Shooter will give him over £8 million? The contract was signed to maximise his sell on most probably next year, that is £1.35m took out of the "warchest" for the coming season. Maybe that is why they are relying on loan signings. Should be fun and games when Steven Davis is re-negotiating his deal for next season or is that why the 3 deals weren't announced today maybe? Just a thought}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed007 heard to pay for recent contract extensions and any new signings Rangers Catering have announced a new price structure
PIES £20, Blue nose burgers £30, Orange Juice (bitter) £10, Macaroons £5, Spearmint Chewing gum £2 and Bovril £8
any complaints must be sent in on official form contained within match programme £30 Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Here its wee pat you sound like guy thi likes tae gae ablow, you no the kind big puffeg up jaws n'wee tite lips, did ah no meet you in the merchunt citie wee man ???????, pat

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 davis not signing todaywhats that all about maybe somebodys got more than some folk think or are you grasping at straws dont want to see you with egg on your face or eating humble pie big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - Davis is still negotiating, the 3 deals were meant to be announced today Rab, but Davis(es??) has been put off till later in the week now. I am not saying he won't sign, all I am saying is why the hold up? It will not have helped Rangers bargaining hand in future negotiations when the figures are being splashed all over the press. 26k a week for a GK is outrageous, as I have said on numerous occasions before, do CFC and Rangers need a GK on that kind of money? I would rather have a top class striker, midfield general or a commanding CB for that kind of wages. In the SPL, especially playing for CFC or Rangers GKs don't have that much to do, it is a large chunk of Rangers wages going on a position which really doesn't have to be the strongest at either club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear o dear o dear sounds like celtic fans trying to cheer themselfs up big rab by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Love how the Ed on here knows all the inside dealings at Rangers lol {Ed007's Note - That's why so many Rangers fans come on, at least they know I will tell them the truth ;-) There is an old saying "Knowledge is power"}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well pat if thats your thing fair play this is an all inclusive page wee man sexuality or religion dont matter big rab by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell you why theres a hold unp ed007 they give somebody 25grand aweek who imo is no more than 16grand a week player so working on that cant afford steven davis i keep banging on if you buy a mini for rolls royce prices is it still a mini maybe its a conspriacy buy dear sell cheap big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - So you think Davis might be holding out for more or a move Rab? There is no way Rangers would let him see out his contract and leave for nothing IMO}

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe you lot are saying macgregors not worth 26 grand a week and that you would rather spend that on a midfield general, commanding centre back or a star striker. Seems to me you all have short memories remember who saved the penalty that cost you victory in the last old firm game which in effect cost you the championship although Inverness Caley also played their part in deciding that one or have you forgotten about that as well. {Ed007's Note - So give ICT players 26k a week?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ask yourself this question in your job what ever its is you negotiate your wage another fella who is not as good as you but he now earns more money could you expect the same rise or is that unfair??? do think he will stay. 2 years ago he fancied a return to the epl this season he wants an extension imo he will stay what will he be offered who nos maybe theres more money available then we really no about if he signs it will be long term only an opinion im not ed007 big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - I think he will stay, but it will be down to him getting parity with the top earners at the club, the whole concept of McGregor's deal could have serious repercussions within Ibrox}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgregor?i smell something not right and experiance telling me if it looks like s**te and smell like s**te its normally s**te imo any figure over 10million will get him but he will stay this year if he has a good year i think he will go next year speculating of course thats what we all do well maybe not ed007 but the rest of us mortals no puns intended well ok there can be only one big rab by the way {Ed007's Note - I do think he will stay for at least a year Rab, unless there is a crazy offer as you say. Would he be interested in being No2 to Joe Hart at Man City on £50k a week do you reckon Rab, or No1 at AV on say 40k? In these times if a player wants to move, they usually do, the same scenario could arise with Kayal or Izaguirre at CFC}

Agree0 Disagree0

Scenario with kayal or izaguirre for me it will be izaguirre if offer comes in. kayal imo will want to stay another year big rab by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 he will want first team football so where ever he ends up he will be number 1 if he leaves rangers it wont be his choice but its like watching chess the big question is will boughy go because he wants epl football or will he be persuaded to stay by mccoist its very quiet out there imo keep him let him go next year but ally doest listen to me big rab by the way we have a habit of finding defenders so i will expect to see 2 central defenders who nobody has heard of but will be very good

Agree0 Disagree0

I want bellamy to sign as I think he would be great with hooper up top, but it I would not b happy for him to train in Cardiff and travel up at th end of the week train for a day or two and play at th weekend it sends th wrong message out about Celtic as a club, not one player is bigger than the club, you either give 100% in th training ground with your team mates or don't bother......
What do you guys think ???

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Bellamy of 3 years ago maybe, but today with dodgy knees NO It has got to be Bothroyd or De negris to partner hooper.
Talk of Brown going for £6m+ take the money, Ledley, Kayal, Commons all better players. Keep Sammy, sell Murphy and/or Stokes if stiker(s) come in. Sell rasmussen, hooviveld, juarez to free up wages and generate some cash. Keep young thomson but maybe another loan spell, keep O'Dea improved by going to england and cover for Izzy, Mulgrew better as defensive midfielder than CB. Discuss? Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Murphy sammi juarez hovfield odea niall mcginn loovens all could go asap..
young thomson could be a good un long term, imo. cervi zaluska either or could go too. wee shaun also had his day in the sun

Bellamy's come and get me plea to celtic

www.eveningtimes.co.uk/mobile/sport/editor-s-picks/craig-bellamy-celtic-is-top-of-wish-list-1.1110173

good evening guys just read this and was wondering how you feel abot it

first possible £67 k wages lets say he drops his wage demands to say £30 k

The plan would be for the player to remain in Cardiff with his family at the start of the week, and travel north to train a few days before games.

Bellamy would train with Cardiff on the days he was not at Lennoxtown, with the Bluebirds hoping this will lead to the local hero joining them on a Bosman when his City contract runs out next summer.

is this guy right in the head if Lennon went for this type of deal he needs his books (i credit Lennon with more sence so this will never happen).

the heading should read Be

Bellamy's come and get me plea and pay me loads of cash then at the end of season i will piss of back to cardif .

Tony

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hi Tony you are posting things about Bellamy most of us agree with and ED007 got it spot on if you sign for Glasgow Celtic you STAY in glasgow and give 100% especially for wages talked about, I have already gone on record saying I want Bothroyd and/or Given for monies banded about. Timalloy
PS did you see my post about Saturday morning in Glasgow it was so surreal

Tony are you please Whyte is starting to open purse strings but signing targets mostly loans are not great for team unity here today gone tomorrow. Macgregor i can understand but Whittaker our fast forwards will run rings round him again.But just think Mac 6 years, Whitty 5 years, davis 5 years Goodwillie TEN years hahaha timalloy {Ed007's Note - That IS funny Tim, take a bow}

Jamie mac, what you doin to me pal? I thought Scott Brown had a good season last season on the right. Aye, he has the touch of an elephant at times. There's this fallacy that he's some kind of box-to-box scoring midfielder - he's not, and never has been. He's the driving force behind our team and I would gladly play alongside a player like him in the middle of the park. He's Celtic Captain, Scotland regular with 25 caps and managers all over the country rate him, as well as the Premiership Suppose it's all about opinions, however I'm sure the majority of Celts supporters won't be disappointed to see him in the team next season.

cfc1888, you on the other hand are miles out. Not even close....Richard Dunne is a quality Premiership defender that's played at the highest level of English football for 15 years, making his debut with Everton at 17. Nearly 500 appearances He has 65 caps for the Republic and won Man City's player of the year award 4 years in a row......that's why I'd want to sign him, he'd coast it up here and he's only 31 Suppose you're entitled to your opinion.....Miko

{Ed007's Note - I have touched on this before guys. As is it the close season and for a change why don't you guys get your writing hats on and send in your CFC stories, first games, memories, favourite players, away trips etc etc, basically anything CFC related so you can get as misty eyed as you want to! If you leave an e-mail address in the e-mail field, I will e-mail you and you can send them directly to me as a Word document etc rather than typing it all into the banter/rumour form. Your e-mail address will not be posted or passed onto any 3rd party. We could maybe even open up a fans section on the site to put all your stories together if you want to, much like the news section. Your name or "handle" will be put on any article that is submitted by you. Just an idea I have been thinking about as it will give you all even more input to the site, let me know what you think guys, thanks}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed007 here are acouple more Lisbon stories. One of my uncles travelled in the famous "mini" cavalcade and drove via France. In an expensive French restaurant one night the waiter asked how thick he wanted his steak my uncle a tight so and so at best of times said "at these prices cut its head off, wipe its arse and put the rest on the bloody plate" Timalloy

Can we really afford the wages? {Ed007's Note - Not on his current 90k a week, I am glad people understand what I meant, every post was about the "new amigos" and was all unsubstantiated, now that the issue has arisen it is open to discuss, not just one liners that "Bellamy to sign next week", but a discussion of views and opinions on these matters is different.}

whats the deal with Juarez? he's a good player but never gets a game. a reckon if hes given a chance he could be better than brown.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Good shout. It all seemed to go sour after the incident when he was playing for Mexico early last season. A few of the players, including him were discipled. He insisted to Lennon he was innocent and Lennon publicly backed him in the media. My suspicions are that Lennon then found out that he was not innocent, and that he had lied to Lennon. Only a suspicion, nothing to back it up, but the timing of events fit in.

K. {Ed007's Note - The same problems seem to have arisen again before the Copa America, K-Dot, and good evening mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

If we dont keep juarez I hope we sell him and make some bucks instead of loaning him out his profile is high just now after playing all Mexico games, Bellamy NO NO AND NO again, too expensive and dodgy knees. Bothroyd is younger, fitter and no transfer fee is involved either him or DE negri for us, what I cannot understand if we are prepared to offer Bellamy £70+ grand why not offer GIVEN that? Timalloy

Hail Hail {Ed007's Note - I know for a fact that LFC had Izaguirre watched and monitored last season. The rumour going about yesterday was that it was £11 million they were ready to bid. As for Ngog, LFC want £5 million for him and he is on 50k a week, which put Sunderland off, hence their interest in Bellamy.}

A have got to totally disagree with miko there regarding his comments about brown. The guy cant pass, cant shoot, tackling is impetuous at best, dribbling is terrible also. But boy has he got a great engine, so does sally gunnell but that doesnt mean she could be a captain of celtic. A honestly think craig bryson is better than him. Never rated him, never will. Our past captains must be insulted.

Hey guys been reading your chat and found a few comments of interest. Scott Brown will stay, no doubts about that. We were a better team last season with him in it, I can see what he brings to the team - he has to stay Big Sammy frustrates the hell out of me, the big man CAN play and he defo has something, however he's inconsistent and I mean 1 in 10 inconsistent - think his time is up. Stokes can finish however he's helluva lazy, if he'd defend from the front and work harder we wouldn't be looking for a striker. Is he gonna be with us for next season?

Huseklopp, I know nothing of

Bothroyd, I'm not so sure about. He's got one cap....so has Alan Thompson £35k a week??

Rasmussen didn't do well in Germany so don't know if he's the answer, although a lot of people would like to see him given another chance. Bellamy is gonna command a huge wage so don't see him up here...tell you what though, that boy was a tremendous player when we had him a few years ago

Murphy needs to go

This boy De Nigris sounds like our best bet of a striker, do we have a chance with this boy Ed?

Fraser Forster isn't great IMO, he doesn't command his area and his kicking isn't the best, therefore I'd be tempted to look elsewhere.....what about a cheeky wee attempt to entice Van der Saar out of retirement for another season, lol. Given would be tremendous, is it likely though?

Can we sign ANY Premiership players though, that's the question?

If we could, I'd take Given, Dunne or Upson.....either one of these three would be a MAJOR coup.....please God, Hail Hail.....Miko {Ed007's Note - I don't think Bothroyd is as far out of reach as everyone seems to think, but my own choice would be de Nigris if a deal could be arranged}

viewparkbhoy {Ed007's Note - Afternoon VPB, believe it or not CMS has agreed to join Brighton and Hove Albion over Leicester and West Ham, who had also agreed a fee with Peterborough United, very strange IMO}

It seems that the huseklepp transfer is a non-starter for us. Uefa cant say who actually owns him. Bergen, his old club, claim not to have received monies owed whereas bari say it has been paid. It will take a while to sort out, this wont be done in the timescale we have to get a striker in. Was on our c list anyway Ha ha ha ha ha
jamie mac(unlike sally wants quality not quantity) {Ed007's Note - Good afternoon Jamie, I hope little Jamie is feeling better}

This is not a rumour just that ive read on sky sports news that Udinese are trying to sell Jonathan Mensah not to be mistaken for John Mensah, think he would be a brilliant asset, strong centre-half with pace and hes only 20 and wouldnt cost much around a million i think, check him out on youtube and tell me what you fellow tims think.

Ed007 rumour is Bellamy will be allowed to train at Cardiff then fly up day before game, is it just me or is this a bad idea, what about team unity and bonding No I am against Bellamy coming for this reason Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I am 100% against any idea like that. We are CFC, one of the biggest and most famous clubs in the world. If a player doesn't want to move up here and become part of the CFC "family" then they shouldn't be offered a contract. Players are paid extraordinary wages these days, the least a club can look for in return is 100% commitment from a player}

Afternoon Ed.

I couldn't see Cardiff agreeing to this either. It's unlikely they would allow their resources to be used throughout the period of any contact Bellamy has with Celtic. It could also be disruptive to their squad. Also, he is a Man City player, so why would Cardiff get involved. {Ed007's Note - It has been reported that he is in talks with City to cancel his contract and Steve Bruce is said to be interested in taking him to Sunderland if Bellamy can get released by City.}
