Different year same pish. Not been on in a while. i'm only here transfer windows. I've heard we will have another project coming in and we are paying£2.5 million. Please god no. We deserve better, no more projects look at pukki balde bangura to name a few and how much spent on them?

Joe Ledley slapped on the transfer list for Refusing to accept a wage cut. On yourself joe, we have made record profits through champions league participation and player sales yet Lawwell expects players to take a wage cut?

Maybe if Liewell lead by example he would get some respect!

Why would he slap in a transfer request when he's a free agent in the summer can walk for free and negotiate his own deal.

Although a think he's a good player a certainly dnt think he's a 30000 grand a week player in Scotland for that you should be a stand out week in week out .
He prob got Those wages to start with on the assumption he would be a superstar in Scotland for me he isn't .
Still how do we know what he has been offered?

@OP . I honestly don't believe that Celtic would offer Ledley a contract with reduced wages and expect him to accept it . I've said for weeks now that if Ledley and Samaras don't want to sign well don't play them . Also don't know any Celtic fans who refer to our CEO as " Liewell " . Sounds like a Sevco thing to me . DH

Apparently on £28k and offered £25k by the board. Horrible case of events, especially when the club have been so profitable the past 18 months!

Guys remember Ledley has been injured a lot as well, yes he is good and would like him to stay but takeing a small pay cut looks right or the same wages, he dosent deserve a raise. Saving money on wages means more for better quality, seems too many want to attack our board/club before anything else. C-Bhoy

How celtic has performed as a business has absolutely no bearing on what Ledley is offered on a new contract. They are two different issues. It's not like celtic could offer him £30k and if our financial performance worsened could we renegotiate?

Let's remember when he signed it was on a free contract so he got increased money poss28k and it was in a more competitive league with better attendances. He has proven over the last 18 months to be a decent player not a top player so getting offered 25k seems very generous. You don't always give pay increases to players if he leaves that is his choice but the garden isn't always greener elsewhere. And who thinks he will get a better deal elsewhere not me.

If Ledley wanted to stay as much as we are led to believe?! It's easily sorted!
He done it at Cardiff an could do it again, it's almost similar to the Hooper situ. Hooper was irreplaceable though, as much as I want Ledley to stay, HE is not! If the club have went as far as they can sorting a deal (which I doubt) then we need to try and get a fee for him. The ball is firmly in Ledley's court, which is always going to happen this late in the game.

Bit less of the 'liewell', you sound like a zombie, a lot like one. It's not a wage cut, its a new contract and a good one at that. A good way to avoid liquidation is not to pay more than services are worth. Joe Ledley has become a millionaire at celtic, so has been well rewarded. He's a good player and I hope he stays, but not at any cost.

Liewell is a very credible name for a man with more faces than Big Ben. The can't has been spitting venomous lies through his teeth for the past 12 months. Offensive Behaviour bill, Green Brigade, transfers, finances!

@ 11 I can't agree with you regards Lawell. This guy has a job to do in a plc. His job is to make money for Celtic, He is doing his job as far as I can see. We spent plenty in the summer. If you think that we spent nearly 10 mil on 3rd or 4th targets then maybe you might ask why we didn't spend at all. I would think someone tight with the purse strings might just not spend at all rather than spend 10 mil on 4 gambles at all. Really 4 gambles or 2 sure fire things. Why pay scouts if your willing to gamble on 4 works in progress but not willing to gamble on 2 guys who go straight into the squad.mark

His job is to make money for Celtic. So should that come first and foremost ahead of fan welfare? Because that seems to be the be all and end all for the plc, and slowly creeping in as a mindset for certain "fans" / customers.

All through the implosion of rangers, and the birth of sevco, one thing has remained constant, the staggering arrogance and sheer stupidity of sneaky mccoist.

From his 'who are these people' speech to his backing of every spiv and shyster who pitched up at ibrokes, sneaky has had his say.

Now, thanks to the daily record, he gives his opinion regarding the sevco fixtures. As it is the daily record, we can only deal with the actual quotes in the article, and there are some crackers!

1: 'Same old story with the way our club has been treated'. Really? If your club had been treated without FEAR (i use that word in it's purest sense) or favour, your club would not have been able to attain SFA membership, like every other liquidated club that existed in Scotland.

2:'This game should not have been played on Sunday it should have been played in midweek. We made our feelings clear we wanted to play in midweek' So it appears that sneaky, with a seven million pound wage bill in a part time league, also wants control over the fixture list.

3:'This is our fourth game in eleven days and that's not on' Surely this apply's to every lower league club? Fixture congestion is an annual problem every year at this time. I would suggest that sevco, with a full time squad, might be able to handle this better than the part time teams. Part time teams who's players have to fit a forty hour working week around their football, who also have to play matches in a tight time frame.

But we are dealing with sneaky remember, and he knows his target audience.This is all about the fans.Much of this gnashing of teeth concerns three fixtures, Dunfermilne, Airdrie and Stenhousemuir. From Glasgow Dunfermilne is around 40-60 minutes by car.Airdrie would be around 30 minutes and Stenhusemuir 30-40 minutes. So if the game was at ibrokes this is the extra time a fan would have to add.Is it really that bad? Would any fan who travels even have thought of it if sneaky had not raised it?

On the other side of the coin we have the sevconians out with Glasgow. We are constantly reminded that they have a huge support from ALL OVER Scotland. If your travelling from north of Cumbernauld, these fixtures will suit you fine, and save you the time normally travelled to ibrokes. So sneaky must be sticking up for the Stranraer and Dumfries loyals then? What a guy eh? With the cash he has been earning since sevco were born he could pay for their buses and not miss it.

Somebody really needs to remind him that his clubs 'journey', that he and his fans were all enjoying so much, is in the lower leagues.Any problem he has will be multiplied ten fold for EVERY other club in these leagues.To make an issue of this while fourteen points clear at the top is laughable.But why is he allowed to get away with this nonsense without one argument from a reporter? I think we all know why.

I would just suggest that you turn the pages with his fat face on it over when you see it. I read the daily record on the internet and I only ever go into the celtic club page.
As for the journalists they are scared to question McCoist on anything or to say that Rangers are dead for fear of repercussions. Sly had them correctly as "the Rangers" at the time they were formed and were forced to change it to Rangers when the fans threatened a boycott.

I'm just wondering if Sneaky will be reprimanded for his out bursts as it looks as though cracks are starting to appear in the cheeky chappie persona . Is it pressure after his missus put him on a diet? . He started it all off with the comments about "women and children being put off attending football games due to the hostile atmosphere" . I guess they've never heard the Vanguard Bears songbook or seen the armed forces invading a football stadium to "enjoy themselves" . Sneaky states his team are being "singled out" having to play 4 games in 11 days . The facts are there were 12 other SPFL clubs playing the same, actually 4 of the clubs played 4 times in 10 days . Clubs in the lower leagues had the option of moving their Boxing Day fixture to Dec21st . Sevco were the only 1st div side who declined . Sevco have also postponed 3 games due to (snigger) international call ups. This obviously leads to fixture congestion . Don't expect however to read any of this in the SMSM as nobody would take the responsibility or have the bottle to put their name to it . DH

@ Ayrshire Bhoy: You are missing the point mate, this is to highlight, once again, the glaring bias shown to sneaky and sevco by the MSM. Sevco of course mean nothing to me, but I do think things like this should be highlighted.If one Tim reads it and gets on a phone in to highlight it we keep it alive, and we must highlight these things as what they are aiming for is acceptance of their agenda.

As far as I'm concerned, this forum is probably the only place to get a near as dammit account of what's going on over there as you won' t hear the truth in the MSM or from any of their forums. Surely mcoist is questioning the integrity of the SPFL if he's saying his team are being signalled out.
And why is it the celtic fans are forever referred to as paranoid and the other mob have just cause .

By ignoring this scullduggery it won't go away .In fact if things had been ignored RFC would be still playing in Scottish top tier unchallenged. As it stands there's a tribute act, TRFC, playing most likely in a div they shouldn't be in either (Spartans) lost out .So everytime they try to wiggle an advantage should be highlighted to ensure not only cheating doesn't win but the future of Scottish football survives .

@ Monkeybhoy; Because they are banned from Europe because they are a new club. On the UEFA website, 'rangers' played their last game in 2012 v St Johnstone.

The SMSM have been spinning this banned for accounts nonsense but it is just that nonsense.

McCoist wants mid week games as the opposing team players will have already put in eight hour shifts in their day jobs before kick off and be knackered. It suits SPFL leagues 1&2 full of part time teams not to play any mid week games at all for obvious reason. It should be official policy.
Surely McCoist has just brought the game into disrepute? Complaint to Lunny?
