Anyone else hear about new balance/warrior kit deal from next season. I know the last few nike strips have been below average but I think they are selling more training leisure wear now although judging my nikes barca tops for next year might be a blessing can see them trying to get horizontal stripes to replace the hoops

Hi ed does anyone no who will be making celtics kits in the summer as the nike deal expires?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It looks like New Balance/Warrior. New Balance own Warrior but are rebranding their football wear as New Balance for next season.}

Thanks bud terrible news though I hate liverpools kit but saying that the nike ones are terrible to

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I hate the Nike stuff, there's some nice tracksuit tops etc but the actual strips are cheap tat.}

Hi Ed, I saw that Armstrong signed a three year deal this week instead of something longer. I can't remember the last time we didn't sign a player to at least 4, GMS signed for four-and-a-half for example. Any idea why this is the case? I thought we would have tied him down for as long as possible.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It was a 3 1/2 year deal Armstrong signed bud, all contracts in football end on 30th of June - dependant on the specific FA's league structure of when their season starts and ends - I have no idea why it was only 3 1/2, maybe something to do with his law degree and the young lad plans to re-evaluate his life at that point. I'd take a guess that it was the player's side of things that length of deal came from, I'm sure the club would have wanted a longer one.}

Typo there I meant three and a half, really, I did haha. It's just we've had a habit of moving on our players after 2/3 years in the past for a profit, Wanyama was 2 and Ki was 2 and a half for example. Can see us getting done in a few years for not getting him on a longer deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're think way too far ahead lol. Kick back and relax, I don't think any of us will here in three years, how's that for a depressing outlook on life. :=D

I believe the kick back and relax approach was the one a certain Sir David Murray took hahah .

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Now there's a man that's got an even bleaker future than mine!}

No doubt if Armstrong demands a move after about 18 months he will be gone in two years . On the other hand if he turns out like Lustig or Izzy he will sign a new contract after about 18 months to 2 years .

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris02 give the boy a break. He hasn't even played a game for club yet people are already speculating how long he will stay

Agree1 Disagree0

Not me chum, someone queried the three and a half year deal and I give many different options including him sign a new deal.

Hi Ed,

I'm am one of the few believers in what RD is doing. In my opinion I would like to see us go with the following team against Inter:

Gordon
Lustig, VVD, Denayer, Izzy

Wakuso, Johansson, Brown, GMS,

Armstrong

Guidetti

I realise Commons is in good form but the 3 of Armstrong, Johansson, Brown are work horse and in european matches you need this. Commons is a good impact sub.

Guidetti is a confidence striker, if we give him a few games between now and the Inter match if he scores he will thrive. Griffiths has been in some form but I would save him for the 70th minute onwards as the last thing I would want if I was an ageing Vidic would be to see a whippet on to give me the run around.

My prediction Celtic 2 - 0 Inter.

Lets hope we solve our away day blues and get the Europa league run going!

Wakaso hasn't been seen in ages no chance he'll start

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Wakaso is away playing in the ACON for Ghana who play Equatorial Guinea in the semi final tomorrow.}

Gaelicbhoy that is a good team, although I am not sure of Johannson playing beside Brown. Johannson is best suited further forward with Bitton along side Brown . I know we have at least one too many for the more advanced position ( not a bad problem )
I am not sure that Forrest wouldn't come in ahead of Wakaso. Griffiths / Guidetti . Tight call, I would like to see Guidetti prove himself again with a good performance before the Inter game.

ed can sevco sign 5 players from one team I thought 2 was limit.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Of course they can do it, that's why they did.}

If they were allowed to sign and the Scottish Compliance Officer, I have no doubt they could play Newcastle UTD who played mid week and play them at week end if they wanted .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's no limit on international loans, the 2 loan rule only applies in Scotland and only regarding domestic loans.}

Ed is there another rule that you cannot get any more than three from the one team mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Domestically you're not allowed to loan more than three from one club.}

Why has Scottish Football authorities laid off their Compliance Officer, was he really getting paid from Ibrox and did Ashley's axe take him down .

Agree0 Disagree0

LMAO So they've broken the rules again then because there nothing "domesticated" about them Ed they're all knuckle draggers :-)

ED007 it seems the Scottish Cup tie at Dundee will feature the vanishing spray, I was certain it was used against Sevco as their whole team "vanished" very quickly lol

Can all th ed new signings play against inter ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Armstrong, GMS and Guidetti will all be eligible for the EL and included in the squad registered with UEFA.}

04 Feb 2015 12:50:59
Cheers ed for some reason I thought you could only add one player . Can you play if you have already plAyed in Europe this season for example podolski who I think already played in cl with Arsenal?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Inter have added Santon and Shaqiri. It was either Podolski or Shaqiri as they have played in Europe already.}

I hear Podoski is not in the Inter Europa list . I am not surprised I think he flatters to deceive .
