I saw Derk making his debut and I thought he had a bit of a yellow streak . Unfortunately or fortunately I never seen enough of him subsequently to confirm or deny my original thinking.

Regardless Rayman on a serious note. That is £3m wasted to add to the millions lost over past few seasons on poor attacking players identified by John Park. How much more will we see.

I am a bit old fashioned, but I think that the manager should decide which players to sign. Lawwell and Park should just do the financial side of things, negotiating contracts etc.
The board could still decide how much money is spent every year, but at least the manager would be able to work with players that he wants.
I can't see what advantage this system we are operating brings to us, other than paying a salary to John Park.

There's a bit a grey area with this I think. Money men making footballing decisions etc. John Park - I don't think he's all that at all. Even his time at Hibs is greatly overrated imo. PL - seems to be more focused on financial targets than on field progress. Which really, is his job. For me, we need a DoF with a more proven footballing brain, making decisions, alongside the management staff, under the guidence of a CeO. PL and JP? Easily replaceable in my eyes.

I am not sure whether our purchases have cost more than what we have got in sales plus we also have the makings of a good team from the purchases .
Of course we don't want what Derk and Balde turned out to bee but don't forget we bought big Victor, Virgil and many others out of the same pool of players cost wise.

Agree the Ronny baiting in the Scottish press is completely uncalled for.

Personally I think its because they can see the guys getting there and their shitting it..10 in a row and all that. worried we get there, and they would need to produce a four page spread.

Haven't subscribed to any of those rags for decades as all it did was provide a focal point for their bigoted and narrow minded bile.
I would have hoped by now that the vast majority of Celtic supporters and other decent fair-minded football fans would have stopped donating good money to bad causes.

Celtic should make them fear 10 in a row we won't have a better chance if we get 5 spend big this summer and kick on ahead of every team to make it happen.

There is absolutely no need for us to spend big in the summer to keep us on course for 10 in a row . What we need to do is to buy wisely bringing in a couple of players that will strengthen us . Last season we knew Hearts were coming up with a decent squad and some money . The main promoted club this season is Sevco with a weak enough squad and no money for warchest . Continue to build on what we have and we will be fine .
