Reading the report from last nights game, and couldn,t believe the reporter gave Jim Goodwin man of the match with nine out of ten.I know it wasn't,t a great game and no one stood out ,but if there was one it certainly wasn't,t Jim Goodwin.killy.

Jim Goodwin, didn't deserve man of the match , but he probably deserves to win the oldest looking footballer in the Scottish Premier League award.

Wow the bitterness towards nl is shocking as ed will tell you I advocated getting rid of Neil a full season before he left and I have backed rd from the start telling people to give him time but Neil is one of us and barca was one of the best nights of my life and did his best in difficult circumstances, he is certainly no fat sally and he truly loves Celtic, yes rd is a better manager and comes across as a nicer guy but let's save the hatred for our enemies not our friends.

Fab1 I agree with you, I don't know why every time we win a match, some people use it to have a go at Neil Lennon.
I don't know a lot about Neil Lennon, but he worked hard as manager of Celtic, often putting himself at personal risk. Sure he made mistakes, but I really can't understand why some people are so hostile towards him.
I really hope we win the treble, but if we don't, it won't make Ronny a bad manager, in the same way if we do win the treble, it doesn't make him the best manager in our history, as we have still to see how this team would fare against decent European opposition.
I want whoever is in charge of Celtic to be successful, and I can't knock anyone who has put their heart and soul into the job, whatever mistakes they may have made.

Well said fab. I was fishing earlier and bhoy did they bite and bite, but its sad the bitterness on here towards him.

King lenny was a great servant as a player and manger, @ times his hands were tied behind his back with reguards players leaving and I still believe park had the final say on new players, that's not to mention all the off field craps also.
I have always backed him and always will, but if iam honest Ronny has changed the club on its head for good reasons and is going to be a legend like LENNON.
Hail Hail

Lets not get bogged down with who has a better record or who the better manager is . My point is nl never has a bad word to say about our club or fans , he never stole from us or gave fat contracts to his pals he always done what he thought was right for CELTIC rightly or wrongly so I don't understand why as a support we don't show him some respect, whether we think he is a good manager or not.

Just show how pathetic some people are on this. At start of season it was okay for people to slate RD yet forbidden for anyone to comment about NL. End of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion (apparently chris02 thinks otherwise)

@DN of course it was fine to slate RD when things wernt right just as it was right to slate lennon when results wernt good. Difference RD is current and Lennon isn't but people can't wait to slate NL at every opportunity. Lennon has been done to death regards to criticism mainly cups and signings over and over again. Some poster even managed to have a go at him regarding an April fool about Kyle lafferty.Wonder who that was lol. We get it with u and Lennon DN just let it go mate.

Dn30 I agree with you, apparently it is ok to watch Barcelona when Celtic are playing and still regard yourself as a Celtic fan .
Just as the Celtic club is a broad Church and everyone is welcome , so to it appears that is true of Celtic supporters .

Wtf has your post got to do with anything Chris , we are talking about giving a ex manager some respect, what has watching Barcelona or church got to do with it ,for the record if el classico was on one channel and Celtic were playing ANYONE on the other I would be watching Celtic , if I was not at the game. Hope that cleared things up for you .

Lennon milked his position. The last straw for was his clothing line venture average player over rated manager simples!

Fab1 . I know you are a very learned and highly respected poster , but in my opinion you don't have to speak up for DN 30 as he is well fit to post untruths about me without your assistance .
I have always given N Lennon respect and I don't see why there has to be competition , in so far as I think we should be able to support and respect both managers .

Chris I'm not defending dn30 he is more than capable of doing that himself, I repeat I don't see what Barcelona on tv or how inclusive the Celtic support is has to do with this thread, maybe I have missed something? If you go over my first 2 posts we are actually in agreement about it , show Lennie respect for what he achieved and back Ronnie to the hilt for what he will achieve.

And it's allgonetitsup proves my point , why so bitter? Imo he was a decent player ( not as good as lambert ) and a decent manager ( not as good as Strachan ) but you seem to have a dislike for him . Why because he brought out a range of t-shirts? As far as I can see he done his best and left at a time that suited both him and the club , I just don't understand why that would give any Celtic supporter a reason to hate him .

Fab 1 . I agree completely, Lennon was a decent player and manager and he gave us great service , He left at a good time for himself and the Celtic fans .

It's a banter site so everyone is entitled to comment. I for one, liked Lenny. He gave us some great nights in Europe and I believe if he had been able to keep his players for longer then he would have progressed in the CL. However, things are what they are and RD has done well in his first season, so far. If the board backs him then who knows what we could be capable of? I felt the same with NL. Anyway, onwards and upwards. Hail, Hail.

Tinytim no one is suggesting that people aren't entitled to an opinion but I got one am very curious about why people seem to hate Neil and so far no one has given me an answer .

It seems sometimes that some posters think you can't like Lennon and Deila. It's either one or the other and I don't quite understand it. Lennon took over at a turbulent time and steadied the ship and now Ronny has taken us to another level but that doesn't mean we shouldn't appreciate all the hard work Lennon did.
