regarding the stick james forrest gets-he cost zero and with his goal v karandy netted us more millions than we'll lose on balde, derk and pukki, who oddly get off scot free.not fair in my eyes.

I didn't know that football became a one man sporting game. A goal is not the soul factor of winning games, or in the case you're making winning millions. He gets stick because he has been playing first team football for a fair number of years now and hasn't progressed the way we thought he would. I personally think he has been a disappointment his end product is 4/10 in my eyes and 1 good performance in every 10 is not simply good enough for ANY teams standards.

James Florist isn't given enough stick, he still plays like he is on the school playground - just a pity it's playing hop scotch!
He's about as useful as a snooze button on a smoke alarm.
We've had some sh*te playing for us over the years and Florist is right up there with the worst of them.

Note to Ed:
what do you think of this thoughtful Poll.
Which former Celtic player would you sign now, from any era?
I`m sure we will get the norm, Larsson/Jinky etc
list your player ( only 1 and why )
Just for fun.

{Ed007's Note - If people want to nominate players I'll get it set up, we'll take Larsson as a given and I'll nominate Paul McStay.}
There's Charlie Nic for me and Kenny Dalglish as well!

Have to go for either packie bonner or enrico annoni

Lubo, again is a given, but I also thought big Viduka was class until he spat the dummy out. And my ultimate re-signings would be Paolo Di Canio, and Danny McGrain and. and. and!

Really hard to pick only one.McNeill, McGrain, Lubo, Jinky, McStay, Murdoch, Di Canio(although he wasn't really here long enough), Dalglish, but you ask for one and for me it would have to be Henrik, just for his consistency over Jinky. There's your list Ed.

Paul McStay, without a doubt, stuck by Celtic when no one else did, and a truly great player

Meant to say, would love to have seen him play with other class players rather than some of the ones he carried

My choice and the reason I started supporting Celtic would be John Kelly Deans .Every Saturday noonish as a young un I tuned in to watch Dixie banging them in, that coupled with a more unusual top, the hoops, influenced me .
All this before I had a clue about the history.
It came later .
So Dixie it is for me

Thx for the response everyone. Over the years we have had our fair share of fantastic players.
Forgot to put in my own pick, for me its Dalgliesh. I seen him score so many important goals.
Funny how no one put Mo J?? .lol.
Hail Hail

I'll go with nakamura, no one said and he deserves a mention I think. Loved watching him play.

What about frank Macavennie? Double winner in centenary season. Or big Roy aitken? Legend. And his dive that got Scotland a penalty against Sweden in the 1990 world cup was awesome.

Soooooo Many greats. I decided to go with what we need right now, a proven goalscorer - Joe McBride. Even only playing half a season he was top scorer.

From a Jags fan, it would have to be Tommy Burns - he had Celtic written on his heart and cherished the jersey .
