I think it is important to see these quotes from such a successful manager and player. When guys like Parks speak we should pay attention as, going by his experience, he obviously knows what he is talking about.
I hear that Trump speaks with him on a daily basis for advice on North Korea.

Reading through, it's plain to see that the Parks article has been similarly viewed by us but I really wonder what genuine neutrals or even people from outside Scotland think? It's a really whacky brand of journalism, the hurt is tangible in every article.

Davie it is people like this clown that help spread the view that our league is a joke and not worth putting money into.
I watched some of the EPL games this season and they have been chronic but it's marketed right and their press buys into that.

Nobody is pulling the wool over their own eyes about the Scottish game but it must be so hard to drum up interest when it gets such a bad press even from Scottish 'journalists'. Patrick Roberts is probably the most exciting signing scottish football has seen this summer yet that's the signing this Parks chap picks to target. Strange stuff. I wonder what he has to say about other clubs signings.

Just read the Gordon Parks article. (Quote) 'Paradise is no place to reach for the stars'. Because the team that obviously holds his affection can't afford players of the calibre we're attracting let's shoot Celtic and Scottish football down. Don't praise our efforts for keeping Scotland on the European map and don't support your national team either Gordon as its full of TIMS. I expect bias against celtic in a good majority of articles written in the press, but that without doubt is the worst thing I've ever read! It would not be out of place in the bitter sevco forums. truly shocking!

It shows that they don't have Scottish football at heart.
They don't want good players in Scotland if they are not at rangers
Their bitterness doesn't see the benefits of us getting to the champions league and giving other teams a boost
They hate the fact that Celtic are supplying most of the Scottish starting 11
They don't want a strong aberdeen that's going to get into European football sooner or later.
Their pain and bitterness blinds them to the fact that Scottish football is growing in strength even though their club isn't.

I really don't think it is amusing.
These people are of of the main reasons our game is viewed the way it is.
The EPL has risen to the nights it has because the people that run it knew it had to be promoted and advertise properly.
People like this baw bag do nothing but harm to our whole game not just Celtic.
They now have a platform with the internet that reached beyond scotland.

Try my best not to read them, usually because you come across terrible pieces like the one written today by a man named Gordon Parks. Terrible from start to finish with an astonishing attack on a young player for choosing Celtic whilst also trying to punt our young left back into the bargain.

Just read it myself Garry absolutely mental how someone so bitter can be paid to put something like that in the public domain. Saying Roberts has no ambition and also stating that he wasn't that great last time out "late burst" I believe was the term used, however on the other hand he's comparing him with guys like Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé and Leroy Sane some of the best young talent in the world. What a complete nonce.

Agree totally with both comments above.
Some people claim that out league suffers from a lack of quality, decent exposure, etc. It's little wonder when some twit reporter puts together a piece like this - instead of saying what a great signing Roberts is for Celtic and how Celtic tried to make the deal permanent, all he does is lambast Roberts, who will get games against some of the best teams in Europe. He also lauds the decision of a player who chose to play for Swansea as though it were the pinnacle of achievement.
This move should be hailed for Celtic attracting genuine quality, but what bugs me most is the undeniable fact that sevco sign has beens and dross and are lauded for their "coups". Bitter, pathetic, shite.

Read this sh**e myself what a lot of rubbish. So playing in the overhyped EPL for Swansea is better. Or an nice side that will never win the league.

Common sense attacking player needs an attacking team to develop their key skills. He also has the exposure of 6 CL games and potentially more to show his talents. Think they understates the benefits of working with a talented manager and a strong competitive attacking Celtic.

To counter this f***Ys arguments take note of Wanyama (Tottenham regular who handle themseleves well last year) or VVD (who valued at 80+) most expensive centre half out there and another decent season under his belt it's just going to go higher. Big Foster even now a regular call up for England international. But as you a know Celtic is no platform to continue to enhance careers.

This paper should be burnt for the tarnishing of this Scottish game. No wonder no one's sees it worth while with close like this constantly slandering the game.

Don't think "upset" is the right word man. more so slightly suprised at just how low they are actually going. As 4leaf mentioned we have a track record of players now playing in the Premiership and have a team full of talent that we know will eventually move onto better things.
